The broad sense can refer to many connotations, and the narrow sense may mean that everyone has a favorite mountain in their hearts. Some people like three mountains and five mountains. Some people like Penglai Xianshan, some people like snow mountains and glaciers, but I believe that many people also yearn for the majestic Kunlun Mountain, which is known as the ancestor of thousands of mountains.
Kunlun Mountain is a very mysterious mountain. It is known as the source of the Chinese dragon vein and the origin of myths and legends. It is said that the heavens stand on the mountain and have a transmission channel leading to other worlds. For thousands of years, on it, It has always been shrouded in layers of fog. In history, countless emperors tried to find its existence, but most of them failed, but in reality it really exists.
Kunlun Mountain, also known as Kunlun Xu, Kunlun Hill or Yushan, is the backbone of the mountain system in western my country. It starts from the east of the Pamirs in the west and traverses Xinjiang, Tibet and Qinghai. It has a total length of about 2,500 kilometers and an average altitude of more than 5,000 meters. In the history of culture, it has the prominent position of "the ancestor of Wanshan".
In the "Mysterious Kunlun at the Source of the Three Rivers" activity, our itinerary for several days centered on Golmud at the foot of Kunlun Mountain. Looking out of the car window every day, we could see the towering, majestic and magical Kunlun Mountain with snow peaks, especially the first During the three-day itinerary, on the way to Hoh Xil National Nature Reserve, we traveled along the Kunlun Mountains all the way, and we also got a close-up view of the highest peak in the eastern section of Kunlun Mountains-Yuzhufeng.
Mount Yuzhu is located in Xidatan, Golmud City, Qinghai Province, about 160 kilometers away from the urban area, and it takes about two hours to drive to the viewing platform. It is also known as Keke Saijimen Peak, with a maximum altitude of 6178 meters. One of the six famous peaks with an altitude of more than 6,000 meters is also the highest peak in the eastern section of Kunlun. According to legend, it is the incarnation of Princess Yuzhu, the daughter of the Queen Mother of the West.
Although it is already July, when we are on the way to Mount Yuzhu, we can see rolling white snow peaks from a distance. According to local friends who are traveling with us, Mount Yuzhu has a continental climate, with an annual average temperature of minus 5 The extreme minimum temperature can reach minus 30 degrees, the top of the mountain is full of glaciers, and the snow does not melt all year round.
Leaning on the viewing platform, Yuzhufeng is not an independent mountain. It stretches for dozens of kilometers and is covered with rolling snow mountains. Visually, these peaks are all above 5,000 meters, because we are on the viewing platform of 4,200 meters. When the drone is raised to more than 480 meters, it is still difficult to see the scenery behind the mountain, and only a mysterious scene can be seen.
Yufan Tips:
1. The Yuzhufeng Observation Deck is located on the way from Golmud to Hoh Xil and Sanjiangyuan. There are parking lots and toilets, which are free and open without tickets. It is a good place for viewing, resting and taking pictures;
2. The viewing platform is about 4200 meters above sea level, which belongs to the high plateau area. It is necessary to avoid strenuous exercise as much as possible, and avoid running and jumping, otherwise altitude sickness will easily occur.
3. There are no restaurants along the way. Please bring drinking water, dry food or light meals before departure. At the same time, the temperature on the plateau changes greatly and the ultraviolet rays are strong. Prepare for cold and sun protection.
