It was raining in Xining today. When we left the city, although it was raining lightly, the roadside scenery was picturesque; the grass was green and the morning fog was lingering. It is very comfortable to drive in the car.
Guide County is located in the east of Qinghai Province, southeast of Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Guide's most famous tourism slogan is: The Yellow River in the World, Guide Qing. This is indeed the case. I have visited the Longyangxia Dam before. The water in the Longyangxia Reservoir is very clear. The Yellow River water here is not the yellow soup we saw in the middle and lower reaches. In Guide, there is Guide Huangheqing National Geological Park, but this time we mainly passed by Guide, and took a look at the Ashgon Danxia landform on the side of the road.
Danxia landform is a very beautiful landscape composed of red sandy conglomerate layers. There are many Danxia landforms in Guide, among which the Qianfo Grand Canyon located near Ashgong Village, Garang Township is the most concentrated and has the most characteristics. The upper layer is soil forest landform, and the middle and lower layers are Danxia landform. It is relatively rare in China. The Ashgon Danxia landform is a red sandy conglomerate layer from the Cretaceous to the Tertiary in the geological period. Due to the incision of the Yellow River and the uplift of the Himalayas, the red sandstone hidden deep in the stratum was exposed, and it was formed by flowing water for tens of millions of years. In the east of the Qaidam Basin, on the grassland of Huaitou, there are two beautiful and quiet lakes, one large and one small, named Keluke Lake and Tuosu Lake. They are like huge mirrors shining on both sides, inlaid between the vast Gobi and the vast grasslands.
Keluke, originally Mongolian, means "grassy Achnatherum splendens beach", "a place with lush water and grass." Tosu is also Mongolian, which means "butter lake". Although Keluke Lake and Tuosu Lake are very close to each other and have the same ecological environment and history of change, their posture, style and character are quite different. Keluke Lake is a brackish freshwater lake. Keluke Lake has clear water, calm lake surface and beautiful scenery. Tuosu Lake is a typical inland saltwater lake. The lake is surrounded by the vast Gobi desert. Keluke Lake---Tuosu Lake is also called Lover's Lake. It is named after the beautiful and kind Ke Luke and the brave Tosu. A long time ago, there was a tribe by the beautiful Jinshui River in the northern desert. The prince of the tribe had a beautiful daughter named Ke Luke. One day, Ke Luke went hunting with his father and suddenly encountered a storm. Crook and his father got separated. He was rescued by a young man, Tosu. The two have been in love ever since. The prince objected to the marriage. He asked Tuosu to go to Qaidam far away to carry salt. Tuosu rode a white horse and came to Qaidam through hardships and carried a bag full of salt. On the way back, there was a sandstorm and the white horse got lost. He walked on foot, walked across the Gobi beach, ran out of dry food, and finally lost his strength and fell on the beach. Since Tosu went to Qaidam, Ke Luke has been guarding the Jinshui River every day. One day, she saw the white horse coming back alone. Premonitioning that Tuosu would encounter misfortune, he rode to Qaidam to look for Tuosu. When she traveled thousands of miles to a Gobi Desert, she saw Tuosu in the Gobi Desert in the distance. At this time, Ke Luke was also overworked due to running all the way, and passed out under the horse. Ke Luke struggled to climb towards Tosu. However, when Ke Luke was about to climb there, he still slept forever on the Gobi Desert not far from Tuosu. The place where Tuosu rested turned into a saltwater lake, which was called Tuosu Lake by later generations, and a freshwater lake appeared where Ke Luke slept, and people called it Keluke Lake. In this way, the bodies of Tuosu and Ke Luke turned into two lakes, one salty and one fresh, and they stayed together day and night in the Tara Grassland.
Keluke Lake-Tuosu Lake is also called Dangdao Lake and Lover Lake. The two lakes are permanently connected together. The saltwater lake is still a saltwater lake, and the freshwater lake is still a freshwater lake. It is amazing!

"Delingha" means "golden world" in Mongolian. Delingha City was established in 1988. It is the seat of the Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. It is the center of politics, education, science and technology, and culture of the whole state, as well as the center of the Eastern Haixi Economic Zone.
