On the morning of the 13th, I set off from the hotel at 7 o'clock, looking for breakfast on the street, and met a fellow villager, a middle-aged couple from Xianyang. I came to Delingha in the early years and opened this small restaurant; why did you come to Delingha? The air is good, the summer is cool, and the people are nice. Xiaochaidamu Lake, also known as Xiaochaidan Lake, is located on the east side of the Xiaochaidan transportation hub in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It covers an area of about 69.82 square kilometers and belongs to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Yardang landform, or wind erosion ridge, is a typical wind erosion landform. "Yadan" means "a hill with steep walls" in Uighur. Due to the abrasive effect of the wind, the lower part of the small hill often suffers from strong denudation and gradually forms a concave shape. Most of the Yadan landforms that have been discovered in the world exist in extremely arid areas, but in the uninhabited area of Qaidam, there is a unique and little-known "Water Yadan"! This "Water Devil City" with an area of more than 50 kilometers is sandwiched by West Taijiner Lake and East Taijiner Lake. It is close to Wutu Meiren Grassland in the southwest, about 240 kilometers away from Dachaidan Town, and about 2 kilometers away from National Highway 315.
Here is the destination of our trip. Finally, after nearly 2,000 kilometers of speeding, we arrived at the long-awaited "Water Yadan" located in the Qaidam Basin in Qinghai at 18:33 on the evening of August 13, 2018. Moreover, booking the RV camp here is also the most expensive accommodation I have traveled abroad in so many years, 1244 yuan per night for 4 people. One is that it is the peak tourist season, the accommodation is expensive and this is a no-man’s land, the accommodation is extremely tight; the most important thing is to take pictures of the sunset and sunrise of Yadan on the water, so living here is the most ideal. Expensive is expensive.
But unfortunately, at sunset that day, the clouds were too thick, and the sunset was not photographed, and the sunrise the next day was also not photographed due to dust. There will always be many unsatisfactory things in travel. Years of travel experience, just don’t be too persistent, what you meet is the best. Nothing, we saw another landscape. I was just as impressed.
It was said on the Internet that the tree at the entrance was fake, so I noticed it and took a picture. It was indeed a colorful fake tree. Hahaha. To be honest, it's a bit of a bummer.
Tickets will be accepted this year. Tickets are 60 yuan, and sightseeing cars in scenic spots are 60 yuan. Package tickets are not sold alone. And we have to buy tickets to live inside. After completing the formalities, we found our RV, put down our luggage, and saw that the sun was about to set, so we quickly took our camera and walked towards the water. But it was still a bit late, the clouds were too thick, and there was no expected scenery. But Yadan on the water under the setting sun is still very beautiful.

There is also a saying that after the formation of the Yadan landscape here, due to the crustal movement of the Qaidam Basin, the lake water from Qinghai Lake and other places flowed into the Yadan territory through the ground, forming the magnificent landscape we see. When Yadan on the water appeared in front of me, I was so amazed that I couldn't express it in words. It is surrounded by the barren Gobi Desert, where the sky cannot be seen.
