[3000-meter cableway flying over the sea of clouds and autumn forest]
The most convenient way to climb Mount Fanjing is of course to take the cableway. In the autumn of Mount Fanjing, the most beautiful presentation and the best view are in this lovely yellow bag. Each cable car can take up to 8 people, the doors are automatically closed, the large front and rear glass and the small windows on both sides can bring a good viewing experience.
The entire cableway is 3411.32 meters long, with an altitude difference of 1193 meters and a maximum ground distance of 178.78 meters. Sitting on it is still a bit uneasy, the body will shake a few times every time it passes the pile, which is a little irritating, but in fact, there is no need to worry about the safety performance of the cableway.
In the autumn, the forests of Fanjing Mountain are all dyed, and the view from the cableway is more real. The red, yellow, blue and green plus the tumbling sea of clouds are so beautiful that it is indescribable. The pure land of Brahma, the Fanjing Mountain in autumn adds more color than the artistic conception.
[Wanbu ladder through the virgin forest]
Although it is convenient to take the cableway, it is only one of the methods of climbing. There is another primitive mountaineering experience in Mount Fanjing, which is the Wanbu Ladder, which depends on physical strength and perseverance, and it takes about four hours to climb up.
The Wanbu ladder starts from Yuao with lush forests and ends at the majestic old Jinding. There are more than 8,000 steps in the whole journey, and the total altitude is about 1600m.
On both sides of the road are the virgin forests of Mount Fanjing, and the climb will span the vegetation types such as evergreen broad-leaved forest, evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest, deciduous broad-leaved forest, subalpine rhododendron dwarf forest and subalpine shrub meadow. The road is long, and there are always many surprises in the dense forests on both sides. A leaf, a branch, and a piece of moss seem to be telling stories in the jungle.
【Ordinary but not simple stone】
There is a road on both sides of the cableway to go up the mountain. Strictly speaking, one of them is the downhill road. There is a supply store within a few minutes' walk, which sells some local specialties and handicrafts, as well as some simple fast food, such as corn, grilled sausage, eggs and the like. It is still necessary to replenish physical strength for mountain climbing, and you can also take a break here and drink a cup of local fragrant tea.
There is a huge stone on the cliff platform above the store, which looks like it is made of concrete, with many gravels inlaid on it, because these gravels have different shapes, like treasures; there are rich and diverse plants growing on it, just like a Small biosphere, people call it Wanbaoyan. Wanbaoyan is one of the oldest iconic geological wonders on the platform south of the Yellow River, recording the long geological history of Mount Fanjing. On the seemingly rough and dark stones live five major types of plants, including seeds, mosses, mosses, lichens, and fungi. There are dozens of species, which can be called a miracle of life.
The Jingxin Pool is also on this road. The water in the pool is crystal clear and very cool, and it is replenished by natural dripping water from the stone wall on the back. There is a statue of Avalokitesvara Pusa standing next to the Jingxin Pond. Since ancient times, people who pilgrimage to the mountain to worship the Buddha, when they come here, they will drink water to wash their faces or roll up their sleeves to cleanse their hands to eliminate distracting thoughts, and then visit Avalokitesvara to show their piety and purity of heart.
From here, you can already see the misty red cloud golden roof, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, if you wear ancient costumes and walk on the road, you really have a feeling of traveling through time and space.
【Hundred Years Cheng'en Temple】
Cheng'en Temple is located between the old and new Jinding. It is the main building of the Fanjingshan temple complex and one of the four major temples in Fanjingshan. Cheng'en Temple in the early morning, without the crowds of people, looks extraordinarily solemn and solemn. The rare good weather, blue sky and white clouds, and the morning glow are thousands of miles away.
The temple is not big, pass through the Temple of Heavenly Kings, and you will arrive at the main hall. The dragon carving in the middle of the stone steps has beautiful lines and is vivid, so I couldn't help but take a picture as a souvenir.
There is a stone step on both sides of the Daxiong Hall, which is hidden behind the hall, and it is not known where it leads.
Passing through the side of the main hall is the step to the top of the Mushroom Stone. This is not a road, but some tourists directly cross it for convenience, forming a small road with obvious traces. It was only after I came up that I realized that the Sutra Pavilion of the monastery is behind it, and the abbot’s meditation room is also here.
[Climbing the Red Cloud Golden Summit is difficult]
The poet said that "the road to Shu is difficult, and it is difficult to go to the blue sky". If you want me to say that Li Bai has never been to Fanjing Mountain. The feeling of climbing out of Mount Everest with a drop of about 100 meters is a bit exaggerated, but the degree of difficulty is really extraordinary.
The narrow stone-step plank road can only allow one person to pass almost the whole way, no matter how vigorous your skills are, you can't bypass the tourists in front of you. The narrow plank road hangs on the bare cliff, besides it is full of thick fog, and the steps are wet. Of course, it will be better when the weather is sunny. There are hand-held iron chains and ropes on the fence next to it. Otherwise, it is really difficult to climb up.
Hongyun Jinding is 2,336 meters above sea level, and is often surrounded by red clouds in the morning, so it is also called Hongyun Jinding, which is a homonym for "Hongyun Jinding", which means good luck.
The upper half of Hongyun Jinding is divided into two isolated peaks by the "Golden Knife Gorge" - the Sakyamuni Hall is built in the south, dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha; the Maitreya Hall is built in the north, dedicated to Maitreya Buddha. The middle is connected by a bridge, which looks like a flying dragon. Viewed from different angles, Hongyun Jinding looks like the two-finger meditation of Buddha's hand and the totem of life, so it is also called "the first peak in the world".
【Huge Mushroom Stone】
Opposite Hongyun Jinding is the old Jinding and the huge natural mushroom stone. Climbing up the stone steps next to Cheng'en Temple, you can reach the mushroom stone in about 10 minutes. Besides, the weather is good and the view is wide. Through the clouds in the distance, the morning sun filled the valley, like a dream. The only drawback is probably the cool wind in the mountains, which hurts the cheeks.
Mushroom Stone, as the name suggests, is about ten meters high, with a large top and a small bottom, shaped like a mushroom. The true meaning of the "normal mind" of Buddhism has stood firm for 1 billion years. Many painters and photographers have used it as a theme to create various masterpieces of art. The Mushroom Stone has also become the iconic representative image of Mount Fanjing. When you talk about Mount Fanjing, the first image that pops up in your head is the strange Mushroom Stone.
There are many strange stones like this in Fanjing Mountain. There is a high platform opposite Mushroom Stone, and a huge stone stands on it like an upside-down seal, which is called "Fan Tian Yin". It is said that since ancient times, many people seeking official careers have come here to worship and pray for good luck.
Turning around, Hongyun Jinding and Cheng'en Temple are connected together by long stone steps, and the winding road turns around Hongyun Jinding, as if wearing a gorgeous necklace around the neck. The clouds and mist in the distance are lingering and rushing among the valleys, making the city in the sky even more majestic and majestic.
The road going down the Mushroom Stone can lead to the old Jinding, which is 2493 meters above sea level and is the second highest peak of Mount Fanjing. Because the image of Maitreya Buddha speaking for all living beings often appears on the stone wall under the moonlight, it is also known as "Moon Mirror Mountain". On the old golden roof, there is a burning lamp hall, which is dedicated to the ancient Buddha burning lamp.
[Dong village at the foot of Fanjing Mountain]
At the foot of the majestic Fanjing Mountain, there is a beautiful village called Zhaisha.
At the source of the surging Jinjiang River, there is a simple ethnic group called Dong.
The Fanjing Mountain Zhai Shadong Village in Jiangkou County, Guizhou Province is 27 kilometers away from the county seat and 3 kilometers away from the gate of the Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. Most of the entire stockade is Dong people. The village gate, square, bell and drum tower, farmhouse, and 64 two-story stilted buildings are typical buildings of the village. Zhaisha is located at the foot of the magical Fanjing Mountain, the clear Taiping River flows slowly in front of the gate, and the ancient trees on the riverside are towering. Surrounded by green hills, the whole village is hidden among lush forests and bamboos, like a paradise.
Entering the landscape gate of the Dong village, the simple ethnic style is displayed in front of you. Wandering along the Qingshiban Road, after a hundred steps, it suddenly becomes clear that there is a circular square like a peacock spreading its tail, and a landmark building of the Dong village - the Bell and Drum Tower of the Dong nationality stands at a corner of the square. Next to the Bell and Drum Tower, there is a precious nanmu that has stood tall for hundreds of years, old and vigorous.
In front of the square is an ingenious stage, where the Dong people hold grand gatherings and performances during festive seasons or when visitors from afar come. There are several farmhouses around the square, all of which serve local specialties. The restaurant has a unique style and is a typical Dong family building, all of which are two-story wooden stilted buildings.
There are many characteristic homestays in the stockade, each with a different decoration style. Living here to eat Dong family meals and feel the warm hospitality atmosphere of the Dong people; it is a rare experience to travel in the pure land of Brahma during the day and enjoy the tranquility of the Dong village at night.

The position in front of the gate of Cheng'en Temple, when surrounding the Red Cloud Golden Summit, the signal is sometimes absent. It is recommended to choose a position with a wide view and no obstacles to control the aircraft; there are many boulders scattered on the mushroom stone platform, which blocks the signal. It is not recommended to take off there. There is a narrow V-shaped viewing platform under the Mushroom Stone. This is a good place to take off. The left and right sides are the new Golden Summit and the old Golden Summit, with a good view.

1. Depart from Guiyang and detour along the Guiyang Ring Expressway for a short section of the double track of Guizun Expressway to enter Guiweng Expressway. After driving for about 71 kilometers, pass Weng'an and then transfer to Anjiang Expressway, drive 144 kilometers to Jiangkou, enter Hangrui Expressway G56, and exit at Taiping Get off (it is recommended not to exit from the "Fanjing Mountain West" exit, this section is under maintenance, and there is no cableway up the mountain), continue along X508 and go straight for ten kilometers to reach Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. The whole journey takes about 3 hours.
2. Depart from Chongqing via the Lanhai Expressway and arrive in Zunyi, then go through the Guanyin Temple Tunnel, take the first ring road of Zunyi and enter the Hangrui Expressway G56 towards Tongren, pass through Meitan, Dejiang, Sinan, and Yinjiang, and then exit at Taiping (it is recommended not to Exit "Fanjing Mountain West", this section is under maintenance, and there is no cableway to go up the mountain), continue to go straight along X508 for ten kilometers to reach Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area, the whole journey is about 6.5 hours.
3. Depart from Changsha and drive along Changzhang Expressway/G5513 (via Changsha West Toll Station). After arriving in Changde, enter G56 Hangrui Expressway and drive towards Jishou (via Fenghuang Toll Station) and continue to drive towards Tongren (via Tongren Toll Station) ) and drive towards Zunyi, get off the expressway at Jiangkou Exit, turn right into Fanjingshan Avenue and drive about 20 kilometers to the entrance of the scenic spot. The whole journey takes about 6.5 hours. (About 1.5 hours' drive from Fenghuang Ancient City)
【Self-guided tour】
All parts of the country can easily reach Guiyang, Tongren, Huaihua, Yuping and other tourist transit places of Fanjingshan by plane, high-speed rail and train. There are direct shuttle buses to all four places, or you can transfer to the scenic spot of Fanjingshan Mountain after passing through Tongren City and Jiangkou County . For ordinary trains, you can check the train timetables from all over the country to Tongren, Huaihua, and Yuping.
The Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway has been fully connected, and tourists from Guangdong and Guangxi can directly reach Guiyang by high-speed railway.
The Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway section from Shanghai to Guiyang has been opened to traffic. Tourists from Hunan, Hubei, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangxi and Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions can go directly to Tongren by high-speed rail.
