This is Baihua Mountain in Fangshan District, Beijing. The height of the mountain top is more than 1,900 meters, and it has reached above the clouds. Looking back at the clouds floating in the mountains below. There is quite a feeling of ascending to heaven.
Flying the drone to look down the mountain, the road we walked just now is like a twisting wild grass, which reminds people of the song: "The Eighteen Bends of the Mountain Road Here".
When we reached the top of the mountain, the sun was already setting in the west. The mountain road is already in shadow, and the small pavilion on the top of another mountain is still bathed in sunlight. At this time, the light was extremely beautiful, and the scene in front of me was like a fairyland.
At the top of the mountain, there is a signal tower with a round head, which is said to be the signal tower of civil aviation. There are planes flying over the sky from time to time. It seems that there is a civil aviation route on the top of the mountain.
Xianguang Temple on the top of the Bodhisattva
The top of the mountain where we are is called Bodhisattva Peak, the highest peak of Baihua Mountain. There is a temple on the top of the mountain called Xianguang Temple.
Xianguang Temple is one of the largest temples on Baihua Mountain and the highest temple in Beijing. Liao Dakang (1075-1084) existed before. In the Liao Dynasty, it was called Foyan Temple because of the Qianfoyan near the temple. Later, because the top of Baihuashan Qianfoshan often flashed at night, and there were seven-color halos shrouded in the daytime, it was regarded as the appearance of Buddha's light, so it was renamed "Xianguang Temple".
The seat of Xianguang Temple faces east from the west, and the four entrance halls are Tianwang Hall, Pharmacist Duan, Daxiong Baogu, and Qianfo Pavilion (Wenshu Hall). The Qianfo Pavilion is a double-layer structure with a hard mountain top, three rooms 1.13 meters wide, five beams, three rooms deep 9.45 meters, and a height of 15 meters. Inside the pavilion are bronze Manjusri Buddha statues and bronze bells as high as more than 10 meters. Every May 5th and September 9th are the Xianguang Temple Fairs. There are four inscriptions in the hall: (Triads' Chaoshan Stele) only half of them remain, and there are two stone steles in front of the Hall of Pharmacists, which were erected in the 20th year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1840): "The Stele of Burning Lamp Ancient Buddha" is 1.7 meters high, Daoguang in Qing Dynasty Established in the twenty-fourth year (1898), there are only two surviving ones.
Historically, the Xianguang Temple was huge in scale and extremely spectacular. It is recorded in "Old News of the Sunset": .. There is Xianguang Temple in Qianfo Mountain, and there is a Thousand Buddha Pavilion in the temple. Shangniangniang Temple was built in the southeast of Xianguang Temple, Xianiangniang Temple was built in the northeast, Datu Temple, Guandi Temple, and Kusa Temple were built in the north of Longwang Temple. The entire temple group formed a complete temple group. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty The temple was destroyed before and after. Afterwards, a resident of Baimen Village, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, went to Baihua Mountain to "drive away tigers and leopards and build a Taoist temple".
During the Anti-Japanese War, Changwanfang Lianhe County set up an intelligence station in Xianguang Temple. The large bronze Buddha statues and bronze bells in the temple were cast as bullets during the Anti-Japanese War. destruction. In the thirty-fifth year of the Republic of China (1946), the last generation of the temple's presiding monk Dajing went down the mountain to return to vulgarity. From now on, only the laymen are left here to take care of the incense.
The 10 tall and straight spruces in front of the Temple of Heaven (3 of which died due to lightning strikes in 1976) have experienced vicissitudes of life, witnessed the development and changes of history, and witnessed the prosperity of New China and the peace and prosperity of the country and the people.
In May 1991, Xianguang Temple was found to be exhausted of iron, and it was cast "Xianguang Temple in Baihua Mountain, Huguo, West Beijing, was rebuilt and a new Buddhist hall was built. The first generation of the mountain passed down the 37th generation of Caodong Zong, the taboo flash flood monk. Daoguang four years auspicious day" .
In 1995, Baihuashan Huguo Xianguang Temple was rebuilt. In July 2000, Lianhuaan Village rebuilt 15 Buddha statues for the temple. The height is the highest among Beijing temples.
The statue of Wenzhu in Wenzhu Hall was inspired by Shuxiang Temple in Wutai Mountain, Shanxi. Therefore, it is said that Baihua Mountain is the branch of Wenzhu Bodhisattva.
On May 18th of the Ming calendar in 2005, Lianhua'an Village newly cast a 1.6-meter-high, 1.1-meter-caliber, and 1,230-jin bronze bell for Xianguang Temple.

Live in Baihuashan Hotel - a night in heaven and earth
There is a hotel on the top of the mountain—Baihuashan Hotel. You can drive directly in front of the hotel from the bottom of the mountain. The hotel is a small two-story building connected on three sides in a circle. The front faces east, and you can see the rising sun every day. The rooms in the hotel are all floor-to-ceiling windows. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window through the windows while lying on the bed. Although at the top of the mountain at 1900 meters, the room is fully equipped with water and electricity. Take a hot bath, lie on the bed, cover the quilt and feel the coolness of the evening, it feels very comfortable.
The average temperature on the top of the mountain is about 22°C in summer, and only a dozen degrees in the evening. If you walk outside in the evening, you need to wear long clothes and trousers, otherwise you will feel cold.
The climate on the top of the mountain is changeable, with sunny days and cloud cover for a while. Standing in front of the window, you can see the clouds and mist moving quickly in front of your eyes, as if you are in a heavenly palace.
The catering at Baihuashan Restaurant was beyond our expectation. Here I ate Fangshan's steamed bowl of meat, also known as steamed bowl. My hometown is Fangshan, and I was short of meat when I was young. Every time I eat steamed bowls, I feel that it is the most delicious food in the world. It is a big bowl with pork belly. I don’t know what seasonings are used to steam it in the pot. It looks like plum vegetables with meat. But it is different from pickled pork with pickled vegetables. Steam the meat until it melts in the mouth. Although it looks like a large piece of fat, it is not greasy. Every time I see this dish, I feel very kind.
Chinese toon eggs are supposed to be available only in spring, and it is indeed a bit beyond our expectation to be served in this season.
Even more unexpected was the bass. You can actually eat perch on this 2,000-meter-high mountain, which reminds people of Xin Qiji Zeng Yun: "Perch can be eaten", which means that perch is chopped or sliced to eat, but who said that steamed perch is not good have eaten? We ate the whole fish to the bone.
Because it is on the top of the mountain, the sunrise here is earlier than at the bottom of the mountain. The sunrise here is before 5 o'clock, because it was foggy that day, so I didn't take pictures. If the weather is clear, the sunrise scene here will be very beautiful.
Alpine meadows, the road is long and long, I will walk up and down
In addition to the main peak of Baihua Mountain, Bodhisattva Peak, another good place to go in Baihua Mountain is the alpine meadow. The alpine meadow is about 4 kilometers away from the hotel. You can drive one kilometer from the hotel to the parking lot at the entrance of the meadow, and there are mountain trails for the remaining 3 kilometers. This is a paradise for hikers.
Walking along the trail to the alpine meadow requires walking in the mountains. The trail is sometimes on the mountainside and sometimes leads to the top of the mountain. The trail is protected by railings throughout. If you are tired from walking, you can climb the railing to borrow strength or lean on the railing to rest. Walking 3 kilometers on a mountain is completely different from walking 3 kilometers on a city road.
There are dense forests on both sides of the trail. There are many wild animals in the forest. The ecological protection here is very good. It is said that there are roe deer, wild boars, wolves, etc. The companions also saw snakes. But don't worry, as long as you don't provoke them, they are afraid of humans.
There are many places along the trail that are very suitable for taking pictures, and many hiking enthusiasts have left a punch card here.
When I felt that the trail was endless and far away, and I was about to give up when I couldn't reach the end, suddenly a meadow with no trees but only grass appeared in front of me. This is the alpine meadow. The meadow is on the top of a high mountain with lush flowers and plants. Like a green carpet between heaven and earth covering the top of the mountain. At this point, you can imagine the feeling of being a house and a bed, and you really want to roll on the meadow.
When we looked down from the sky with a drone, we found that the meadow was not just one place. The trail passes through the meadows and connects the various meadows.
Due to time reasons, we had to go back the same way after arriving at the first meadow. We departed from the hotel at 8:30 and got back to the parking lot at exactly 11:30. Except for about half an hour when we shot in the meadow, I walked the 6-kilometer mountain road back and forth for two and a half hours with photography and aerial photography equipment on my back, plus a break in the middle, and walked an average of one kilometer every 25 minutes.
It is strongly recommended that hiking enthusiasts and friends come here for a walk. This route alternates between slopes and peace roads, and walks between the forest and the sky. It is very comfortable to walk on, very suitable for hiking.
The sun is shining during the day, but it is not hot at the high altitude of the mountain top. Accompanied by butterflies and wild bees along the way, smelling the fragrance of flowers and plants, admiring the scenery at the foot of the mountain, breathing the fresh air, shouting and singing heartily. The whole body and mind are relaxed.

Baihuashan Bodhisattva Peak is located in Lianhua'an Village, Shijiaying Township, Fangshan District, 112 kilometers away from Tiananmen Square. It takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes to drive.
Baihua Mountain is very large, and there are many peaks, which separate Fangshan and Mentougou. What I wrote in this article is on the side of Fangshan. If you just navigate "Baihuashan Natural Scenic Area", there will be two options, the first is the Baihuashan Natural Scenic Area in Mentougou, and the other is the Baihuashan Natural Scenic Area in Fangshan District written in this article. Scenic spots are not the same thing. Therefore, the self-driving navigation can be guided: "Baihua Mountain Natural Scenic Area Baihua Meadow", which is found in the Gaode map to be Baihua Mountain in Fangshan.
