Bayanbulak Swan Lake is the largest and only swan nature reserve in Asia and the only swan nature reserve in my country, which inhabits the largest population of wild swans in my country. Located in the Bayinbulak Grassland of Hejing County, Xinjiang, with an average altitude of 2,400 meters and a total area of about 1,100 square kilometers, it is composed of countless winding lakes. Bayinbulak Grassland is the second largest grassland in my country after Ordos, with an area of 24,000 square kilometers and an altitude of 2,300-2,800 meters. The residents of the area are mainly Mongolian, accounting for about 78% of the population of the area. The local Mongolian herdsmen take great care of the swans and get along with them peacefully. Every spring, when the ice and snow thaw and the flowers bloom, tens of thousands of rare birds, mainly whooper swans, cygnets, and mute swans, live in India, Myanmar, Pakistan, and even as far as the Black Sea, Red Sea, and Mediterranean countries. Thousands of miles away, they fly to Bayinbulak in groups to inhabit and multiply.
It is said that Swan Lake used to have more than 10,000 rare birds fly here from March to April every year to multiply and live here, and then moved out from September to November, and the residence period lasted for more than half a year.
When we came to Swan Lake, it was not the best time to watch swans, but the blue sky and white clouds here are very beautiful, which made up for a lot of regrets.
Swan Lake is not only the largest in Asia, but also the only swan nature protection base in my country. It is home to the largest population of wild swans in my country. Before 2017, Swan Lake was still an iconic scenic spot in Bayinbulak, where tourists could ride horses through the swamps and get in close contact with wild swans. Because of the beautiful scenery here, it attracts a large number of tourists. However, due to too many tourists, the ecological environment is facing tremendous pressure. Out of environmental protection, the scenic spots finally chose not to open to the public.
Nowadays, what tourists visit Bayinbulak is the "Swan Homeland"
Here we can see some artificially raised swans, although the number is not very large, but the scenery is equally beautiful
and red-billed gulls
"Swan Homeland" has built a long plank road for tourists to enter and visit.
Under the sun, swans, lake water, mountain peaks, and cloud shadows blend into a very spectacular scene.
It constitutes a picture scroll of "a piece of water soaks in the blue sky without trace, and the mountains and waters form their own pictures".
Grasslands, lakes and snow-capped mountains form beautiful landscapes that are dizzying.
I saw a few swans resting on the shore, and other birds were also swimming on the lake, sometimes flying high and sometimes spinning low. The green grass of the grassland, the lake and the snow-capped mountains form a beautiful landscape, which is dizzying.
There is a feeling of "the wind blows the grass and sees the cattle and sheep"!
Get on the shuttle bus, the second one is that Barun Temple did not get off, and it will be the end point at the nine bends and eighteen bends
