Tianshan Tianchi was called "Yaochi" in ancient times, because it has the same name as the legendary fairyland where the queen mother dances and bathes, and the unique natural landscape makes everyone who comes to Tianchi feel like being in a fairyland. The scenery of Tianchi Lake is beautiful, like a crystal gem inlaid among the peaks, facing the Bogda Snow Peak in the distance. Tianchi has scenery in all seasons, and you can swim in all seasons. Traveling to Xinjiang without visiting Tianchi means that you have never been to Xinjiang.
I wanted to not be too tired at the beginning of the journey and try to maintain my physical strength, so I stayed in Urumqi for one more day, went to museums, looked at Hongshan Park, and took a leisurely stroll in the urban area. However, I always feel that apart from the Grand Bazaar in Urumqi, there seems to be no more highlights to see. Before departure, my companion proposed to go to Tianchi for a visit, and I readily accepted it, and the local travel agency made corresponding adjustments accordingly. In hindsight, the decision is indeed correct, otherwise it will add regret.
Tianchi
Tianshan Tianchi is located on the north side of Bogda Peak, 40 kilometers south-east of Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, and more than 100 kilometers away from Urumqi. In Tianshan Tianchi, the snow peaks are reflected, surrounded by spruces, the clear water is like a mirror, and the scenery is picturesque.

To enter the visitor center, you first need to take a scenic transportation vehicle, which is about 35 kilometers long and takes about 40 minutes. Fortunately, there are a lot of vehicles, and they line up sequentially, so there is basically no need to wait.

Maya Mountain is located about 4.5 kilometers southwest of Tianchi Lake. It is a steep mountain with many peaks and rocks. The main peak is 3056 meters above sea level. It is the highest among the 10 peaks surrounding Tianchi Lake. Maya Mountain is like a row of teeth of celestial horses, so it is called "Maya Mountain". There is a columnar eruptive rock on the north side of the mountain, which has been weathered and eroded by flowing water to form a columnar stone forest. There are many pictographic stone scenes, which are the best ice-sculpted wind-eroded rocks in Tianchi Scenic Area.

Ancient Ecological Park
In the afternoon, we also arranged a scenic spot - Ancient Ecological Park, located in Urumqi High-tech Zone. I didn't do my homework on the ecological park beforehand, and I didn't think so when I got off the bus. I felt that there was nothing to see here, so I might as well go to the Hongshan Park in the urban area.
