written in front

I have been to Tokyo, Japan to visit Disney, to Berlin, Germany to see the Brandenburg Gate, to Auckland, New Zealand to enjoy the wind on the harbor, to Singapore to enjoy the Merlion light show, but I have never been to our big Beijing.

Beijing Beijing, that is Tiananmen Square where the five-star red flag flutters in textbooks, that is the imperial city with deep yellow tiles and red walls in TV dramas, that is the majestic Great Wall on satellite maps, and that is the daily life of the people in Hutong in novels. It was a dream, and it was also a great place to dream about.

In the early winter of 2019, we finally came to the capital!

         Meitu town building must have.

Itinerary and recommended attractions

Five days before and after, the time spent on the round trip is about three and a half days. Since the time is short (we will come again anyway), I picked up the most wanted to go shopping, the Palace Museum, the National Museum, the Temple of Heaven, and the Temple of Earth have all been there, and the Great Wall, Yuanmingyuan, Beihai Park, Bird's Nest, Tsinghua Garden, etc., etc., Let's talk about it next time.

On DAY 1, head to Nanjing South at noon to Beijing South. Stay at the courtyard homestay [Fangcunyuan] booked on Ctrip. Go to [Lama Temple] (three stars) [Guozijian Road] (three and a half stars) for a stroll. In the evening, go to [Qianmen Street] to eat [Siji Minfu] (four-star recommendation), and visit the online celebrity bookstore [PAGE ONE] Beijing Fang store.

On DAY 2, get up early to eat [Miao Jiapo Baozi Shop] (four-star recommendation), [National Museum of China] (five-star recommendation) is not enough for a day, go to eat [Manhengji Beijing Instant Pot Lamb] in the evening (five-star recommendation).

DAY 3, breakfast [Baikui Old Restaurant], visit [Tiantan] [Ditan] (five-star recommended attractions) [Nanluoguxiang] (three and a half stars), and have lunch in Nanluoguxiang [Juenyuan Spring Cake Banquet] ( Four-star recommendation).

DAY 5, breakfast [Huguo Temple Snacks] (four-star recommendation). Return journey home.

Precautions

         1. Beijing in autumn and winter is still quite dry. Do a good job of moisturizing and bring a water bottle when you go out. As for the temperature, it depends on personal experience. It is still very warm indoors. If you are outdoors, pay attention to adding clothes.

         2. Some scenic spots need to be reserved in advance, pay attention to make arrangements in advance, and make appointments for all appointments. Museums and the like are usually closed on Mondays, and other attractions also need to pay attention to the closing time and arrange in advance. (It seems that the Temple of Heaven will not be able to visit the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests at 17:00 or 16:30. We went there late on the first day and did not visit it. We came back the next day).

         3. For dinner, there must be long queues at popular restaurants. Since you are traveling and your time is more flexible, you might as well eat at different peak times. Some stores can pick up the number online in advance, which is also a good choice.

         4. The subway and bus are all handled by APP. Use "Yitongxing" by subway, and "Beijing Public Transport" by bus, which is convenient and quick. Pay attention to the buses in Beijing, you have to swipe the code (card) to get on and off the bus, don't forget.

eat in beijing

Let’s talk about delicious food first. Originally, I didn’t think there was anything delicious in Beijing (the prejudice of a southern tourist), so I really tried it, hey, it’s pretty good!

I especially like the morning snacks, sugar pancakes, pork buns, fried liver, tofu brain, I like them very much~~~

For dinner, the few restaurants I ate were all recommended by my colleagues. The prices are moderate and the taste is good.

Shabu shabu is definitely my favorite, and the mutton in Beijing is good. Stewed and fried belly are also delicious! First time trying spring pancakes, it's ok. The famous Beijing roast duck, it depends on everyone’s preference (Since I come from Nanjing where a duck can’t leave alive, I don’t like Beijing roast duck, I still prefer Nanjing roast duck, after all, the blue whales put all parts of the duck They all ate flowers).

Let me tell you one by one~~~~

Dinner

[Siji Minfu] Four-star recommendation

It's a chain store. We ate at Qianmen Street. The business is very good. If you arrive late, you have to wait in line. Colleagues said that if someone treats you, go to Dadong, and if you spend your own money, go to Siji Minfu~~ Quanjude is well-known, so forget it.

I like their stewed and fried liver very much, and the roast duck is not bad, but I don’t like the fried noodles. I don’t like the taste of the almond dew bar for personal reasons. Two people ate 284 yuan, which is a more conscientious price

Peking duck, the skin is dipped in white sugar, it feels like the fat melts in the mouth (although I don't like this feeling very much), it really melts in the mouth (a little greasy). Dip it in sweet noodle sauce, wrap it in shredded cucumbers, green onions, etc., and eat it wrapped in dough. It's still very good.

The noodles with fried sauce are a bit too salty for me, but there are quite a lot of ingredients. The waiter helped us foreign tourists to mix it up. I like the service.

The braised stew is very delicious, and it is almost impossible to eat it.

【Man Heng Kee Beijing Boiled Mutton]Four-star recommendation

In winter in Beijing, you must go to eat mutton boiled in a copper pot, right? This store is really popular, and there is always a waiting list in the winter. Fortunately, we can get the number online first. We got the number first and planned to come at the wrong peak. When we arrived at the store at 5:00 p.m., it was already full of seats.

The mutton is very good, the mutton has no smell, and the grilled mutton skewers are also very delicious. I highly recommend the sesame sugar biscuits. I ate up the mahjong sugar biscuits even though they reached my throat!

Two people ate for 245 yuan, very full and very full, and it is also a good quality and cheap.

In addition, my friend said that the toothpick meat and crispy meat at his takeaway window are also super delicious.

[Juen Garden Spring Cake Banquet] Three and a half to four stars

On the branch road of Nanluoguxiang, in an alley, there is a courtyard house with a bit of ancient decoration. From walking into the yard to arriving at the restaurant, it is very interesting to walk a winding road that is not long but twists and turns.

Staggered meal times, there are not many people. The dishes are not bad.

   I like crab race and shredded pork with Beijing sauce; the noodle soup is quite satisfactory;

The overall is still good, two people ate 176 yuan.

【Putian Restaurant】Samsung

I just ate at the Putian restaurant in Singapore that won a Michelin star during the National Day. It’s no exaggeration to say that it’s a little shocking, especially the boiled eel in mountain spring, which I love very much. But Blue Whale doesn’t have this restaurant. When I saw one in the big capital, I came to try it. The one in Sanlitun was the one I came to.

First of all, we went in as soon as the door opened (about 17:00), but there was no queue until we finished eating. It seems that there are too many delicious foods in Sanlitun, and this place is not very popular. Secondly, the service is not bad, but compared with the one in Singapore, it is obviously much worse... For example, when ordering a dish, the waiter doesn't seem too happy. Finally, and most importantly, the dishes, I am a little disappointed. Of course, maybe what I ordered in Singapore were all signature dishes, and what I ordered in Sanlitun were all dishes that I hadn’t tried that time, but the signature dishes were also the same (very disappointed), and overall it is not very recommended.

On the left is a complimentary side dish, and on the right is one of the signature dishes, Putian flat meat soup. Don't bully me, I haven't seen the world, have I never eaten flat meat wontons... The taste is salty, the skin is thick, and the amount is small!

This pot of "Soft Tofu Stewed with Royal Cabbage" tastes okay. It is mainly eaten warm in winter, and the quantity is relatively large.

Sea oyster fried rice noodles, the taste is not bad, but it gets cold too quickly in winter. There is no continuous heating device for this dish, and the taste will be greatly affected when it is cold.

Sweet and sour lamb chops. People who don't like sour food should be careful. I should be the one who didn't order this one. I love lamb, but I didn't consider the sweet and sour lamb chops. I was so unacceptable and heartbroken.

Dessert, crispy fried iced durian. Well, I'm quite satisfied with this.

The two spent 257 yuan and were not very satisfied with the food. However, the seafood noodles should be good. I ordered it in Singapore and it was very delicious. I saw that the table next door ordered this dish at the Sanlitun store. It tasted delicious and seemed delicious.

breakfast and others

【VENCHI】Chocolate shop in Sanlitun, four-star recommendation

Recommend this hot chocolate! Because I was a little tired from shopping and the weather was cold, I went to order a cup of hot chocolate. Well, it is the best hot chocolate I have ever had. It is very mellow but not greasy and not too sweet. It is full of joy. Tongue spread.

The environment in the store is also good, if you have time, you can actually sit down. The store also sells ice cream, boxed chocolates and so on.

Speaking of breakfast, the breakfast I ate in Beijing this time was mainly near the Lama Temple (because we live there). Eat a good breakfast to start a day full of energy.

【Miao's mother-in-law bun shopFour and a half stars recommended

My friend said that Qingfeng Steamed Bun Shop is not delicious, but Miao’s mother-in-law is good according to online reviews, and it’s not far away. It’s just past Guozijian Street, so I came to try it. This is our first breakfast in Beijing, because considering that the itinerary of the day is to go to the National Expo, it is estimated that we will not have lunch. We ate a lot of breakfast and were very satisfied.

As a breakfast shop, it is really big! There were no empty seats when I went in, and I finally found a table to share with others.

Fried liver, very delicious! Pork and scallion buns do not have the scary scallion flavor as expected, but they are still very satisfying to eat! Tofu nao is very different from Nanjing's, the sauce is sticky, but Beijing and Nanjing's tofu nao are delicious! Purple rice porridge, it is the kind that is quite satisfactory. Fennel buns, it’s a matter of opinion, I can’t stand the smell, but my wife thinks it’s delicious.

As a result, we didn’t enjoy our meal, so we added some more... (Please ignore our food intake, after all, we didn’t have lunch later)

Looking at the clear color, you can tell that this is soy milk, not soy juice, hahaha.

I want to say, sugar pancakes are delicious! It turns out that there is such a simple but delicious snack! ! ! highly recommended! ! !

With so many things, two people ate for 39 yuan.

【Baikui Laohao Restaurant】Four-star recommendation

It's almost diagonally opposite to Miao's mother-in-law's steamed stuffed bun shop (it's a little bit of a way to go diagonally)

Look at this hall, it's huge! There are also freshly made pancakes and fruits. There were quite a few people, so we waited a while to find a seat.

Freshly made pancakes are really delicious! hot. Noodle tea, it feels like some kind of batter + sesame paste, it tastes good when dipped in sauce, and it tastes like white noodles when the sauce is less. This time it's not soy milk but soy juice, I didn't drink it... The one in the lower right corner is Mending Meatloaf, delicious! In the upper right corner is haggis soup, which is very rich in content!

Afterwards, I added some sugar pancakes, tofu brains, etc. I forgot, I ate too fast and didn’t take pictures.

The two ate a total of 36 yuan.

[Huguo Temple Snacks] Four-star recommendation

For the last breakfast in Beijing, I deliberately took a car out to find this store, which is across the street from a certain gate of the Temple of Earth.

The ordering method is that everyone queues up to take the plate, pick it up along the way, and then go to the cashier to check out. What is more inconvenient for foreign tourists is that the dishes are directly placed there for self-service, but there is no name... In other words, we are almost choosing blindly. What is it...

Don't look at how much we took, because we packed it away and made lunch on the train...

The ones that I think are delicious are mainly the yellow, green and red dishes, like pea yellow and haw jelly. They are cool, not greasy, and delicious.

There is also the bowl of tofu nao in the picture below. I love it. I read online reviews and said that his family uses mutton to make the sauce. No wonder it is delicious.

Donkey rolling, I don't like it very much, old-fashioned pastries, it's a bit sweet and greasy.

I don't really like the sugar fire recommended on the Internet, it feels too dry.

But overall, this breakfast is still very satisfactory. The two spent 40.8 yuan (including the packing box, which actually includes lunch), and the price/performance ratio is not bad.

[Big Lazy Dragon] Guijie Store From two and a half stars to three stars

I have never known what this food named Big Lazy Dragon is, so I went to try it. Then, um, it's pictured. The taste is passable. As for the amount, it is quite enough. A mushroom cool to eat a big sloth dragon alone, it is probably enough to finish it.

【Starbucks】Beijing Fang bakery flagship store

I visited a Starbucks bakery flagship store in Shanghai. It was very interesting and very large. When I arrived in Beijing, I found that there was also a flagship store on Qianmen Street, so I came to check it out (in fact, I was tired from walking, so I took a rest by the way).

The store is still quite big, with three floors, and there is a wine seller upstairs, which is very surprising. For coffee, there are not as many choices as the Shanghai store, so I ordered the regular latte and American style, and I was given a mug by default, so I was very happy. Sitting in the store to drink, paper cups are almost meaningless.

【%】Coffee shop

This store, just opened in Nanjing, there are long queues. I accidentally encountered it in Sanlitun, Beijing. It felt like an event vendor. I didn’t even queue up, so I just bought it and tasted it, hahaha. To be honest, I can't drink much difference from coffee, and I don't think it's much different from Starbucks.

Attractions in Beijing, here we come

When you come to Beijing to play, of course, you mainly come to visit the scenic spots. As I said earlier, because we have limited time, we visited some selectively, and left the rest for later. I mainly went to the Palace Museum, National Museum of China, Temple of Heaven, Temple of Earth, Lama Temple, Nanluoguxiang, Qianqian Street, Sanlitun, etc. I will tell you in detail below.

【Temple of Heaven】【Temple of Earth】——Four-star recommendation

The Temple of Heaven is located in the southern suburbs of Beijing. It was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped the heavens and prayed for the valley. It is the largest existing temple complex in my country. There is a documentary about the Temple of Heaven on the Internet, and those who are interested can go and watch it.

Buying tickets: You can buy tickets directly online, or on the official account of "Changyou Park" on WeChat. Tickets can also be bought on the spot. Adults, including the joint ticket of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and others, 28 yuan per person.

Note: Go early, it seems that the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests will not be open to the public at 16:30.

Under the blue sky in Beijing (no filter for mobile phone photos), the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest with blue glazed tiles is particularly spectacular.

Hall of Prayer for Harvests

It is supported by 28 golden nanmu pillars arranged in a circle. The middle four "Longjing pillars" are 19.2 meters high and 1.2 meters in diameter, supporting the upper eaves; the middle 12 gold pillars support the second floor eaves. The lacquer is painted with delicate patterns in the method of leaching powder and gold; 12 eaves columns on the outside support the eaves of the third floor; correspondingly, there are three floors of ceilings, and a dragon and phoenix caisson in the middle; The four "Longjing pillars" in the middle of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests symbolize the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter; the twelve large pillars in the middle layer are slightly thinner than the Longjing pillars, named golden pillars, which symbolize the 12 months of the year; It is called the eaves column, which symbolizes the 12 hours of the day. There are a total of 24 pillars on the Chinese and foreign floors, symbolizing the 24 solar terms.

Huangqiongyu is the place where the Circular Mound Altar is dedicated to the gods and the place where the gods are kept. It was first built in the ninth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, and was originally named Taishen Temple. In the seventeenth year of Jiajing (1538), it was renamed Huangqiongyu.

The circle outside Huangqiongyu is the famous "Echo Wall". But now there are railings blocking it, and there are a lot of tourists, so I can't feel the effect of echo.

The number of stone slabs, barriers and steps on the mesa of the circular mound is an odd number of nine or a multiple of nine. For example, starting from the round stone in the center of the upper layer of the stone slab on the countertop, the first circle is nine pieces, the second circle is 18 pieces, and the surrounding circles are in turn until the bottom layer, all increasing in multiples of nine. The same is true for the number of white marble slabs on each floor.

The buildings in the Temple of Heaven are all blue glazed tiles, and the buildings are all round. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, and the Circular Mound are all round. Later, I will go to the Temple of Earth again, and it will be an interesting contrast.

Earth altar

As the name suggests, the Earth Altar is for offering sacrifices to the earth. Ditan Park was first built in the ninth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1530). It was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped the "Emperor Earth God", and it is also the largest existing altar for worshiping the earth in China.

The following introduction comes from the Internet:

Fangze Altar is the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices to the "God of the Emperor". Because there is a square canal around the altar, it is called Fangze Altar. It was first built in the ninth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1530 A.D.), and was rebuilt in the 15th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1750 A.D.) in accordance with the decree of Emperor Qianlong. The current building was restored in 1981 according to the shape of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. The plane of the altar is square to symbolize the legend of "the sky is round and the earth is round". The central altar is divided into upper and lower floors, with Zequ around it and altars outside, with Lingxing gates on each side. There is a mountain-shaped stone seat on the east and west sides of the south half of the lower altar, on which there are fifteen stone seats with mountain patterns, and the gods of Wuyue, Wuzhen, and Wuling Mountain are enshrined for sacrifices; A stone seat with water-shaped patterns, on which there are eight stone seats with mountain-shaped patterns, for worshiping the gods of Ansihai and Sidu.

The altar of earth is square, and it is made of yellow tiles. Compared with the Temple of Heaven, it is very interesting.

I thought the altar of the earth would not be fun, but I still fell in love with it at first sight. Arrived close to the evening, there were no people, the air was cool, there were birds flying by, it was quiet and suitable for thinking.

【The Palace Museum】---Five-star recommendation

When you arrive in Beijing, how can you not come to the Forbidden City?

I have seen some of this imperial city in movies and TV shows, and I know a little about it in novels. It is still very shocking to have the opportunity to see it with my own eyes.

Ticket purchase: Reservation is required, and you can make an appointment and purchase tickets by following the "Visitor Service of the Palace Museum" on WeChat. Remember to bring your ID card when you visit, and enter the venue with your ID card.

You must go to the Treasure Hall and the Clock Hall! It's so beautiful.

Guanghua Gate is not allowed to enter, just walk along the root of the imperial city, and you will be able to reach the Meridian Gate not far away, which is the entrance.

The fairy riding the impatiens, and ten divine beasts. Know which ten they are?

At the beginning is the immortal riding a phoenix, followed by dragons, phoenixes, lions, seahorses, celestial horses, yuyu, xiongni, Xiezhi, bullfighting, and Xingshi. The more decorations, the higher the building level. The Hall of Supreme Harmony is the only building with ten ornaments, so only here you can see what to do.

The following is from the web.

The arrangement order and representative meaning of the decorative beasts on the tip of the eaves of the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City are as follows:

1. Dragon: It is a magical animal that can make clouds and rain, and it is a sacred symbol of imperial power.

2. Phoenix: The king of birds in ancient Chinese legends, it is often used to symbolize auspiciousness, and it is also a metaphor for a person with holiness. According to "Historical Records: Biographies of the Japanese": "Phoenixes do not flock with sparrows." This fully reflects the supreme and noble status of feudal emperors.

3. Lion: Represents bravery and majesty.

4. Tianma: It symbolizes that the mighty virtue reaches the sky and reaches the sea, and reaches all directions.

5. Hippocampus: It is also the embodiment of auspiciousness in ancient Chinese mythology.

⒍狻猊: (sound sour mud), ancient books record that it is a beast of the same kind as a lion, and it is also said to be one of the nine sons of the dragon.

7. Suiyu: It is a strange beast in the sea. According to legend, Suanni and Suanni are gods who make clouds and make rain, put out fires and prevent disasters.

⒏ Xiezhi: A fierce beast in ancient Chinese legends, similar to lions. "Foreign Objects" said that "there is a beast in the northeast wasteland, named Xiezhi". One corner, sexually loyal, those who see people fighting are not straight, and those who hear people's opinions are not righteous. It can distinguish between straight and straight, and it is also known as the "God Sheep." It is a symbol of bravery and justice.

␐Bullfighting: It is a kind of horned dragon in the legend. According to "Chenyuan Zhilue": "There are bullfighting in the West Neihaizi, that is, Qiudi [Chongbian] and the like. above." It is a kind of auspicious rain town to eliminate disasters.

10. Xingshi: A monkey with wings, with wings on its back, holding a vajra pestle, which is said to have the effect of subjugating demons. Because it ranks tenth, it is named "Xingshi". Quite like the legendary Lei Gong, probably a symbol of lightning protection. There is only one place where the ridge beasts on ancient buildings can be seen, and that is on the Hall of Supreme Harmony.

Arranging these small beasts in order at the corners of the high eaves symbolizes the elimination of disasters and disasters, turning bad luck into good luck, and also means cutting off evil and upholding justice. The ancients decorated buildings with these beasts, making the ancient buildings more majestic, magnificent and full of artistic charm.

Encounter the empress and the young master on a trip

There are too many treasures in the Treasure Hall and the Clock Hall, so I won’t show them in the picture, let’s go and watch them by yourself~~~~

【National Museum of China】--Four-star recommendation

Reservation: Make an appointment in advance, or make an appointment on site. It is of course more convenient to make an appointment in advance, just make an appointment directly on the "National Museum" official account on WeChat. The National Expo is free.

The location is on the east side of Tiananmen Square. When you enter this area, you need a security check. Remember to bring your ID card. The National Museum is the largest single museum in the world.

There are many exhibition halls in the National Expo, so it is quite tiring to be honest. Everyone wear sneakers and bring dry food.

Personally, I think it is more distinctive. There is an exhibition of exhibits presented by leaders of various countries as gifts to our leaders. The customs of various countries are quite interesting. Pick a few for everyone to feel.

There are also many other exhibitions, and you can watch them on demand.

If you encounter any special exhibitions, it is also great to see! We came across the book edition exhibition, which was very interesting.

【Longhe Temple】【Guozijian Road】--Samsung

Lama Temple, the place where Yongzheng lived before he became emperor. I probably watched too many Qing palace dramas, and thought it would be the layout and layout of a prince's residence, but I didn't expect it to be the emperor's family temple, hahahaha.

Introduction from the Internet: Lama Temple is located in the northeast corner of Beijing. In the 33rd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1694), Emperor Kangxi built a mansion here and bestowed it on his fourth son, Prince Yong, and called it Prince Yong's Mansion. In the third year of Yongzheng (1725), the palace was changed into a palace, called Lama Temple. In the thirteenth year of Yongzheng (1735), Emperor Yongzheng died and his coffin was parked here. Therefore, the original green glazed tiles of the main hall of Lama Temple were changed to yellow glazed tiles. Because Emperor Qianlong was born here, and two emperors came out of Lama Temple, it became a "blessed place for dragons to dive into", so the palace has yellow tiles and red walls, which are the same specifications as the Forbidden City Palace. In the ninth year of Qianlong (1744), the Lama Temple was changed into a Lama Temple, and the Minister of Prime Minister Affairs Wang was appointed to manage the affairs of the palace without a fixed number of staff. It can be said that the Lama Temple is the highest-standard Buddhist temple in the country in the middle and late Qing Dynasty.

There is a huge and extremely tall Buddha statue inside, which is indoors, and I didn't dare to take pictures of the Buddha.

The road to Guozijian is not very long, and the faces of the people on the road are quite interesting.

Those wonderful bookstores I met

In Sanlitun, I saw Sanlian Taofen, page one and a bookstore whose name I don’t remember, and met page one on Qianmen Street. Near Nanluoguxiang, I also encountered a bookstore. They are all beautiful.

other

stay

The accommodation is a homestay booked on Ctrip, called "Fangcunyuan". The location is about a 10-minute walk from Lama Temple subway station, and the snack street Guijie is also very close, so the traffic is relatively convenient. It is a homestay transformed from a small courtyard house.

There is a small compartment upstairs in the bathroom, with a ladder, you can climb up, and watch the stars through the skylight.

The room is relatively small, and the name "Fangcunyuan" is appropriate. The environment is quite comfortable. The advantage is that the location is very good and the transportation is convenient.

Well, Lala Zaza has written so much, thank you for reading the end~~~~

On the occasion of the Spring Festival, which coincides with the severe epidemic period, I still want to say, I wish everyone good health and safety!
