D1 Escape from the rainy Shanghai and run to sunny Beijing

One week before the start of school, it was raining every day in Shanghai. My best friend suddenly said that we should go to the Beijing National Museum in early September while the students start school soon. After seeing the weather in Beijing, the sun is shining every day, so we must go quickly and embrace the sunshine! Since my best friend is a museum fan, and I haven't been to the National Expo, OK hit it off. She was in charge of booking accommodation and tickets, and I was in charge of packing and leaving.

For a person who loves life, he can't get up early and go to bed late, so the high-speed train departs from Hongqiao at 8 am, which is in sync with the usual working hours, so he won't be too tired. The two met at the station, and the high-speed train took four and a half hours, and it didn't take long to arrive at Beijing South Railway Station. Get out of the station and obediently queue up for a taxi, because you are too lazy to call a taxi, or because there are not many people in the queue, happy and happy! It takes about 20 yuan to arrive at Beijing Cuimingzhuang Hotel in half an hour. The antique lintel reminds us that we have come to the city of Beijing with its history and cultural heritage. This place was originally a guest house for the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Landscape paintings were displayed in the corridors of other people's houses, but old photos with historical significance were displayed in their houses. The room is small, tidy and clean. The most important thing is that I was worried about finding a place to eat, but as soon as I walked out the main entrance, there was a row of restaurants across the road. I was very hungry, so I randomly chose the one facing the hotel gate, "Dawanju". The store is bright and clean, and I don’t have the energy to study the recipes, so I just eat a bowl of noodles with fried sauce. The noodles in the north are generally much better than those in Shanghai, and they will be wiped out in a while.

Jingxinzhai closed Beihai Park

Going out of Didi to the north gate of Beihai Park, the arrangement is to go to "Jingxinzhai". As a southerner, Suzhou gardens are very impressive, and Jingxinzhai is the essence of garden art in northern courtyards. I want to see and compare different garden buildings in the north and south. But only when I entered the door did I know it was closed. One of the disadvantages of traveling on the go is that we didn’t do our homework well in advance. Fortunately, we are casual people, so let’s take advantage of the opportunity to visit Beihai Park.

The iconic landscape of Beihai Park: the White Tower. Looking from across the bank, the pure white Tibetan-style pagoda is extremely eye-catching under the sunlight.

Let's paddle together

I saw the Nine Dragon Wall in front of the sign, but I didn’t have the slightest impression of it even though I’ve been there before, so I went to check it out. Facing it is a huge double-sided wall with nine colorful dragons on both sides, and the glazed tiles are shining brightly under the sunlight. Although I don't like dragons, but standing by the wall, I have to sigh that it is beautifully made and impressive.

Walking slowly along the lake, the cool breeze is blowing, the willow branches on the shore are flowing, there are cute little yellow duck cruises in the lake, blue sky and white clouds, where is the smog coming from?

I went out at nearly 5 o'clock, and when I turned around, I found that the National Library was right next to it. Unfortunately, it was closed after get off work, so I had to take pictures as a souvenir

Turn on the navigation and walk back to the hotel. Dinner ends at Siji Minfu’s roast duck (about 200 yuan). After the meal, we arrive at the hotel within a few steps. Praise my best friend again and choose the right hotel!

D2 National Museum

I made an appointment online last night to visit the National Expo today. After waking up naturally in the morning, the restaurant opposite the hotel provided breakfast, small meat buns, white porridge, and noodles with fried sauce. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the National Expo through navigation. I feel that modern people cannot go out without navigation. There were not many people in line. I heard from the staff that there were a lot of people last week. I was secretly glad that I entered after checking my ID card. As soon as we entered the hall, the security personnel were lined up, and we were flattered by this posture. The ceiling of the hall is very high, and the sculptures of revolutionary figures all the way make you feel small. Turn around and go to BI to start visiting the ancient Chinese exhibition hall. As a museum novice, I had to rent a tour guide voice machine, and I found out afterwards that it was definitely the right choice.

Characters

Museum Xiaobai is only interested in the characters first, because he doesn't know anything else, and he is ashamed.

This drumming and rap figurine from the Eastern Han Dynasty is exaggerated, full of movement, and infectious. I couldn't help laughing when I saw it.

This is a colorful dancing figurine from the Western Han Dynasty earlier, with an intoxicated expression and fluttering clothes, giving it a sense of elegance.

This is the scarf dance of the Tang Dynasty. The more you look at it, the more it looks like the silk scarf pose that middle-aged women love to pose for taking pictures. The red silk scarf stretches the body and intoxicates the expression, and finally found the originator.

Animals

Animals are always the power to make people feel life, no matter ancient or modern.

This is a bronze ware from the Shang Dynasty. This big turtle stretched its head forward, its four legs were paddling, and there were four arrows on its back. The inscription says that King Zhou shot the giant turtle and rewarded it to the official. I always feel a bit like a turtle, but why does the front mouth look like a pig's mouth?

This is a bronze goose and fish lamp from the Han Dynasty. A round goose twists its head and holds a fish in its mouth. The body of the fish and the goose are hollow, and the body of the goose stores water to absorb smoke. The ingenuity of the ancients is fully reflected in this living appliance with a strong sense of environmental protection. I like it.

ritual vessel

The major affairs of the country are only worship and Rong. Therefore, sacrifices are very important, and there are also very rich sacrificial objects.

This jade cong comes from the Neolithic Liangzhu culture period. The shape of the inner circle and the outer square represents the heaven and the earth, and the ancients believed that it could communicate with the heaven and the earth. The 19th floor jade cong is the tallest jade cong so far.

This vertical-eye bronze mask from Sanxingdui is very characteristic and highly appealing. It has protruding eyeballs, fan-shaped ears, and a long vertical handle on the bridge of the nose, which is very strange. As far as occupational diseases are concerned, I immediately thought of the possibility of hyperthyroidism, which was just a casual mention.

The National Museum is considered to represent the top level of cultural relics in the country, and regularly collects cultural relics, so the cultural relics in the collection must be high-quality goods. I didn't finish watching the ancient museum in one day, and I had no choice but to give up because I was exhausted.

Let me make some complaints. Although we are satisfied with spiritual food, the catering department is very disappointing. It feels like a small street shop, which is extremely disproportionate to the National Museum. Coffee, tea and other beverages can be served, and pastries to satisfy the hunger, but there are only some bagged snacks, and the place is cramped.

I went out to Wangfujing, found a small hot pot, but forgot the name, because I was tired and hungry, I buried my head in eating. I wanted to order staple food, but was told that there was no dim sum. This shop only serves food related to hot pot. Northerners do business. So honest. Thanks again to my girlfriend for choosing such a good hotel, and I returned to the hotel after a few steps after eating. I walked a total of 16,000 steps today, and one word is "tired". I went to bed early and prepared to go to the Forbidden City tomorrow.

D3 Forbidden City

Thinking of yesterday's hard work, today is really a little frightening. Early in the morning, breakfast was settled opposite the door. When I was going to the Forbidden City to queue up for the security check, I heard from the security guard that I could enter through the Donghua Gate, and there was no security check line there. We immediately turned back and walked towards Donghua Gate. Although there was a long way to go, there was no security check, so we went directly to Meridian Gate. Go in and go to the home furnishing hall first,

There are too many furniture in the emperor's house, which can only be arranged in multiple layers like a modern garage. Although it is exquisite, it seems that the sitting feeling is not too comfortable. It is true that the ancients paid attention to sitting upright, and it is absolutely impossible for Ge You to lie down.

Continue to walk in and come to the Hall of Supreme Harmony. There are Jialiang and sundials on the left and right in front of the hall, which represent the unity of weights and measures and time, and also symbolize the unity of imperial power. I didn't make an appointment for the Clock Museum and the Treasure Museum when I made the appointment, but I went there later.

Looking at this huge clock ornament, it has exquisite shape and complex structure. When the time is announced on time, all kinds of characters will move. My doubt is that the surface of the clock is so small. Is it for people to see? I don't need to look at the specific time if I want to come to the emperor. It really is poverty that limits my imagination. All kinds of clocks are beautiful, definitely much more beautiful than modern watches. Sure enough, money can transcend time and space.

The next treasure house made my heart beat even more.

The clivia of the emperor's family is made of emerald, evergreen, without watering or maintenance, it is domineering enough.

The celestial globe of the imperial family uses pearls to represent the coordinates of the constellations on it.

In ancient times, sheep were auspicious, so many sheep represent auspiciousness. This jade pot with beams has a sheep's head on the front. I have seen so many treasures, so that now I look at some of the current jade bracelets and jewelry, I always feel that I don’t like them. It seems that the vision can indeed be cultivated by looking at the objects.

This is the single-sided Nine-Dragon Wall in the Forbidden City, and the double-sided wall in Beihai Park. I think the ones in the Forbidden City should be more exquisite, but we ordinary people are naturally incapable of distinguishing them.

We mainly wandered in the east, and went to the famous Yanxi Palace. Because the two of us don't watch Gongdou drama, so apart from the name, we don't know why there are so many people in this place. In a dilapidated place, most of it was destroyed. Fortunately, I saw a Longquan porcelain exhibition, which is a hobby of my girlfriends. I stayed for more than an hour. There were not only Chinese exhibits, but also porcelain sent by the British Museum, Japan, Thailand, etc., which shows that Longquan porcelain is famous all over the world. When I left the Forbidden City, I breathed a sigh of relief, feeling more relaxed than yesterday, maybe because we didn't go all over the palaces, just strolled around, very casually. In the evening, we finished dinner at a snack bar and went back to the hotel contentedly.

D4 Tiananmen Square

I booked the high-speed rail ticket back to Shanghai this afternoon, and I still have time in the morning. My best friend decided to go to the National Expo again. I was going to Tiananmen Square, so we set off together after breakfast. After waiting in the security check line for a long time, we finally entered Tiananmen Square. Although there were fewer people than last week, it was still a bit more for me. Maybe there are too many people, so it doesn’t look like an empty square, and I couldn’t choose a good angle to take pictures, so I simply gave up and went to the Monument to the People’s Heroes and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall opposite. It finally made up for the regret that I have never been here in Beijing many times. Take time to go back to the hotel, and meet your girlfriends for lunch, barbecue and dumplings at the "Dawanju" opposite. Then go to the high-speed rail station and return to Shanghai.

Four days passed in the blink of an eye, and the weather, food, accommodation and transportation were all satisfactory, and each person spent about 2,500 yuan. In view of the richness of the National Expo exhibits and the satisfaction this time, I will consider coming again. Let's wait for another day to come to Beijing again.
