2. [Traffic] How to get to Mutianyu Great Wall?

After deciding on the destination, it depends on how to get there, bus, self-driving, chartered car, direct line, and now I checked on the Internet and recommended several transportation methods for everyone

Option 1: Preferred "Mountain Line". (personal recommendation)

The Mutianyu Line is a direct bus line for the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. It is currently the most popular and well-received bus through train for tourists. We just took the special line to go. After comparing it online, we finally chose Mulin for several reasons.

1: [Express] The Mutianyu Great Wall scenic spot is directly connected to the Mutianyu Great Wall in one stop, and the whole journey is high-speed.

2: [Saving money] No need to take the shuttle bus, save 15 yuan/person. At the foot of the Great Wall, we don’t need to change to a shuttle bus. We can still take the original bus to the ticket gate on the mountain. No need to wait in line for the bus, so comfortable! Especially in the peak season and summer vacation, the Zodiac Line is so comfortable!

3: [Worry-free] The on-board staff of the special line can quickly buy tickets on the bus, and we get the tickets as soon as we get off the bus, and there is no need to queue up! ! ! ! And they will patiently answer questions and tell you where the scenery can't be missed, NICE!!! And they have bilingual tour guides in Chinese and English, super professional.

4: [Multi-choice] There is a morning/afternoon bus on the Mulan Line. If you are tired from playing the day before, you can choose the noon bus to leave. We are still ok, and the morning bus will leave~

There are two stops for the morning bus on the Mu Line, Lama Temple and Shaoyaoju. We got on the bus at Lama Temple~

Tips: How to book a ticket for the special line?

I used to be the customer service staff of the Mu Line contacted by WeChat. The whole network can be used, or you can pay attention to the official account of the special line.

Option 2: Dongzhimen Bus 916 Express

Take the 916 bus express from Dongzhimen, and the terminal is Huairou North Street. About 1 hour. Not everyone has a seat on the bus. Then you can take the H23 bus branch to the Mutianyu Great Wall, but it often runs every 30 minutes, and the waiting time is too long. Therefore, many people take a black car to go to the Mutianyu Great Wall scenic spot, and a small car costs about 50 yuan.

Although bus No. 916 runs every day, the main disadvantage is that it does not go directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall. It needs to change trains halfway, which is troublesome and time-consuming. Moreover, the driving environment of black cars is not very good, so it is not recommended.

Option 3: Chartered car to drive by yourself

The advantage of chartering a car is that the time is relatively free, and you can go when you want. It can be reached by navigating the Mutianyu Great Wall. There are two underground parking lots in the scenic area. 20 yuan each time (unlimited time on the day)

But there are also problems, such as fares, fuel costs, high-speed, parking fees, and effort, including going to the Mutianyu Great Wall scenic spot, you also need to queue up to buy tickets and take the official shuttle bus. It is not very cost-effective to calculate, but this also depends on personal circumstances and needs.

3. [Tickets] Find out about the tickets for the Mutianyu Great Wall

There are three types of tickets for the Mutianyu Great Wall. They are scenic spot tickets, ferry tickets, and cable car tickets.

"Tickets"

Adult tickets: 45 yuan for tickets with postcards, 40 yuan for ordinary tickets

Children's tickets: Children under 1.2 meters are free, and children over 1.2 meters are half priced at 20 yuan.

Student tickets: students from primary and secondary schools to college students, with a student ID card half price 20 yuan.

Tickets for the elderly: 20 yuan for the elderly over the age of 60 to move with their ID card. People over 60 years old with Beijing household registration are free of charge.

"Shuttle ticket"

The scenic spot stipulates that all tourists need to buy the scenic spot shuttle bus, walk to the ferry station, and wait in line to get on the bus. The round-trip fare is 15 yuan. It is about 2.5 kilometers from the ferry station to the mountain. Catch up with holidays and peak seasons, the waiting time is about 1 hour. We took the special line of Mu, so we didn't need to take the shuttle bus, but took the original bus directly up the mountain. No queues.

"Cable Car Tickets"

There are two cable car companies on the Mutianyu Great Wall, one is responsible for the "Twin Cities of Box Cable Cars" and the management of the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area. Another business, "Two-way cableway slideway" is operated by a third-party company. The cable car fares of the two companies are the same, and you can choose by yourself.

Adult cable car tickets: 100 yuan for one-way cable car, 120 yuan for two-way cable car

Children's cable car tickets: free for children under 1.2 meters, 60 yuan for children under 1.4 meters.

Small TIPS:

1. The scenic spot stipulates that people over 1.4 meters are considered adults.

2. These two cable car tickets are not universal. The box cable car can go to No. 14 watchtower, and the cable car to No. 8 watchtower. All tourists must take the cable car on the same road.

3. The cable car is a tool to take us up the Great Wall. It takes 2.5 hours for ordinary people to climb from No. 14 watchtower to the top of No. 20 watchtower. (This time the meat test hahaha)

4. [TIPS] How to climb Mutianyu?

When we arrive at Mutianyu, everything is ready, so where do we start? What is the most comfortable way to walk, and how can you not miss the beautiful scenery? In fact, there is no unified answer to this question. A thousand people have a thousand ways, but there will always be a way that is most suitable for the moment.

Climbing the city on foot does require more physical strength, and the access to the enemy towers is limited. In order to save physical strength and spend more time on the Great Wall, the cable car is a good choice.

1. Take the gondola to Beacon Tower 14 (about 6 minutes). Suitable for all seasons, suitable for the elderly, children, everyone.

2. Take the cableway to the platform in the middle of Beacon Tower No. 5-6 (about 5 minutes). Not suitable for the elderly, children, or special weather.

3. If you choose to walk on foot, the nearest to Dengchengkou is Beacon Tower No. 6. (about 1 hour, it varies from person to person).

No matter which way you get to the Great Wall, where to go, how to go, you can refer to the strategy, but this is not important, enjoy the feeling of climbing the Great Wall, enjoy the pride of being a Chinese, enjoy the vast distance and the love around you~

5. [TIPS] How long is the right time to climb the Mutianyu Great Wall? What should I bring?

It is most suitable to climb the Great Wall for 2-3 hours. If you don’t climb the mountain often, it’s usually about 2 hours for those who take the elderly and children to go down the mountain. For those who often climb the mountain for exercise, it will take about 3 hours.

Items to bring. Comfortable travel shoes, comfortable clothes, snacks to store energy, mineral water

Summer: sunscreen, sunhat, sweat towel

Change clothes according to the season, and climb the Great Wall easily and comfortably.

6. [Itinerary] If you don't reach the Great Wall, you are not a hero. Our trip to the Great Wall

The morning bus we chose was to gather at Lama Temple Subway Station at 6:30. Feel the subway at this point

There is a team leader signing in when you leave the subway station. Then we got on the bus and set off~ About 1.5 hours, we arrived at the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area.

It was still drizzling when we arrived, but the sky was cloudy and foggy at this time, which was great!

The scenic spot stipulates that you need to walk about 200 meters from the foot of the Great Wall to take the bus up the mountain. There are many restaurants along the way, such as Burger King and so on. I will write about some restaurants around the Mutianyu Great Wall later.

We are sitting on the mountain on the special line, not far from the ticket gate, and there will be a landscape of "China Dream Stone City" on the way. Later, I checked that this is the activity base of "Chinese Kistler Collectors".

Because we arrived early, we didn’t have to queue at the ticket gate, so we went in quickly. The ticket gate was for reshoots, and we forgot when we entered.

A few of us took the gondola to the Great Wall. After all, we came to climb the Great Wall, not to climb the mountain. This cable car just takes us to the Great Wall, and we still have to climb the Great Wall by ourselves.

The gondola is like this, a cable car can accommodate 6 people. This cable car is incredible, I have to boast. There is the cable car that former British Prime Minister Major and former US President Clinton took, and we have met it! Compared with other ways of climbing the city, the cable car is effortless and the location is more suitable. So it's a good deal. Maybe you can also meet a "presidential car" oh~

Taking the cable car that former British Prime Minister Major took, we arrived at No. 14 enemy building in a few minutes. The words "loyal to Chairman Mao" can be seen at a glance. The most classic route of the Mutianyu Great Wall is from No. 14 watchtower to No. 20 watchtower. It is also our route this time.

Faced with the graffiti behavior of many tourists visiting here, the Mutianyu Great Wall has adopted a special solution, creating a graffiti wall specially for tourists. This is the only Great Wall that officially allows graffiti among many sections in Beijing and even the whole country. !

This is the scene when we came out of the No. 15 watchtower. On our way to the top, "Loyal to Chairman Mao" will always appear in our sight~Look at this man! ! ! ! Much less! ! ! The small raindrops seem to be beating the beat for us tourists who climb the Great Wall, and the clouds and mists rising from the distant mountains are even more beautiful!

This section of the Great Wall is relatively flat. The scenery is also beautiful, chat with friends, stop to have a look, and enjoy the journey of the Great Wall slowly. Let your body warm up.

Looking back at the enemy building No. 15, and carefully looking at its structure, it is still simple, strong and rigorous.

Then go forward and you will arrive at the filming location of If You Are the One II, where many couples and couples take photos together. "Life is short, and I am willing to make mistakes with you." A scene can be pulled back to the plot of the movie. I hope everyone can meet their true love and live together.

On the way from No. 15 to No. 16 enemy towers, there will be subsidence areas. One is for drainage and flood discharge, and the other is for soldiers to enter through the door below for rescue.

This is the No. 16 watchtower. From a distance, it is the No. 20 watchtower we are going to climb to the top. Come on, my friends!

Looking out from No. 16 watchtower. The Great Wall lies on the mountain like a giant dragon, and the words "loyal to Chairman Mao" in the distance are getting closer and clearer.

There are fewer tourists now. The air after the rain is extraordinarily fresh, breathing wholeheartedly, feeling the gift of nature, a group of people stride forward and keep going!

The outline of the mountains in the distance gradually became clear, and the misty mist, rippling with a touch of blue, also added a mystery.

Pass through No. 17 watchtower and look to the right, there are three watchtowers of No. 18, 19 and 20. The terrain of this section is slightly steep, plus the turn of the giant dragon wagging its tail, such a big zigzag art of the Great Wall, One can imagine the difficulties and hardships of the ancients when they built the Great Wall.

At this time, the autumn leaves on both sides of the city wall began to turn yellow, and the red and yellow added between the green tone and the ancient city wall is really the finishing touch. The slope of the road from 17th to 18th enemy building has begun to increase. After a while, the scenery must be even more beautiful.

There is this boundary marker in the No. 18 watchtower. The boundary tablet reads: Mutianyu is in the east, and Jiaerling is in the west. Jiaerling connects Mutianyu and Jiankou and is one of the 20 passes of the Huairou Great Wall.

Pass through No. 18 watchtower, and the one in front of you is No. 19 watchtower. You need to go down a few steps to enter the watchtower. See that the outer city wall is almost connected to the upper pile.

Looking out from the No. 19 watchtower, what you see is really happiness! At this time, the rain has basically stopped, and the light shining through the clouds and the blue in the distance are the best rewards for us!

Coming up from this staircase is the No. 19 enemy building. These are the stairs that were later repaired.

Looking from the No. 19 watchtower to the No. 20 watchtower, more than 400 steps are waiting for the tourists who come here to challenge. Well, let’s take a slow walk on the 19th, which is the steepest part of the whole process.

Looking back at the road and the mountains in the distance from the 19th, this feeling is really great! Take a break and move forward like the No. 20 enemy building! !

Seeing that we are about to reach the last few steps of the No. 20 enemy building, it is basically 80 degrees here, and it is very steep. We took the most advanced four-legged climb and successfully climbed up~~

climb to the top! ! ! ! The rain has stopped, everything is the best arrangement! It's like giving a reward to the person who climbs to the top! Ahead is the unopened Great Wall.

7. Supporting facilities of Mutianyu Great Wall

Tourist Service Center:

The newly built tourist service center at the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall is very large, integrating tourism services, Great Wall cultural display, tourism shopping, catering and other functions. The area of ​​the scenic spot will be expanded from the original 8 square kilometers to 24 square kilometers. There is also a cable car rest area on the mountain. The overall supporting facilities of the Mutianyu Great Wall meet the needs of tourists.

Parking problem:

In order to facilitate parking for tourists, the scenic spot has also built a new underground two-story parking lot, and the two large parking lots, underground and above ground, have 1,100 parking spaces. The parking fee is 20 yuan for a single trip. By car, the car is parked at the foot of the mountain, and tourists need to take a shuttle bus up the mountain.
