We originally planned to go to the famous Tantuo Temple, which is about 35 kilometers away. Chatting with my girlfriends on the road felt that the time passed quickly, but halfway through the drive, the navigation showed that the road to Tantuo Temple was congested slowly, probably because it was famous and there were too many tourists. I immediately searched for nearby attractions in the car, and found the "Jietai Temple" with smooth roads, so I changed routes as I wished. Women in the new era are so willful.

Jietai Temple is located on Ma'anshan in Mentougou District, Beijing. It was first built in the fifth year of Tang Wude (622), and the temple is famous for having the largest Buddhist altar in the country.
Jietai Temple, which has always been famous for its "Jietan, Qisong, and ancient caves", has both the towering temples in the north and the graceful gardens in the south. According to legend, in the TV series "The Legend of Zhen Huan", the plot of Zhen Huan's practice in Ganlu Temple was filmed here.

The temple sits west to east and is built on the mountain. Most of the scenic spots in the courtyard are arranged on the central axis. There is no doubt that the altar is the center of the whole temple.
The Daxiong Hall is located behind the Tianwang Hall, on a platform nearly two meters high, very magnificent. There is a horizontal plaque at the entrance, on which the words "Lianjie Fragrant Forest" were inscribed by Qing Emperor Qianlong himself.

Although this kind of building is often seen in temples, the second floor of the bell and drum in Jietai Temple has a special style among the blue sky and ancient trees. The temple surrounded by red walls is very brilliant~ Every inch of the scenery is soaked in the traces of history and time, and it is still vivid in front of you.
In addition to the famous Jietai Temple, all kinds of ancient trees and exotic pines are also worth watching, which can be called the second highlight of Jietai Temple. I like this photo taken before leaving the most. I can see it from the viewing platform with a wide view.
