Beijing, the capital of China, is a sacred, majestic and magnificent city. This summer vacation, I brought my son who is less than 6 years old to this city that has been the capital of many dynasties and has a long history.

Transportation: There are high-speed trains going back and forth (going to Fuxing, returning to Harmony).

The urban area of Beijing is dominated by subways and buses. You can apply for a "one-card" card at the subway station, which saves you the time of queuing up to buy tickets every time you take the subway.

Accommodation: All accommodation in Beijing is booked at the Red Wall Hotel. The location of this hotel is great. It is next to the Forbidden City, and it is also close to the bus and subway. It is very convenient to travel. Gubei Water Town booked the Great Wall Starry Sky Tent Camp in Hangu Villa. (Of course, both the Red Wall Hotel and the Tent Camp need to make an appointment in advance, which is very popular)

Advance reservation: Capital Museum (hereinafter referred to as the first Expo), Forbidden City, Science and Technology Museum, Peking University, Military Museum

schedule:

16th: Chengdu - Beijing

17th: Visit the First Expo - Nanluoguxiang - Yandai Xiexiang

18th: Forbidden City

19th: Gubei Water Town (bubble party, listening to Peking Opera, watching acrobatics, drone show, light show)

20th: Return to Beijing after Gubei Water Town (making table lamps, climbing the Great Wall)

21st: China Science and Technology Museum - Night View of Bird's Nest and Water Cube

23rd: Military Museum - Tiananmen Square

24th: Jingshan Park - Shichahai Cruise

25th: Beijing - Chengdu

Many museums are closed on Mondays; so we arranged to go to Gubei Water Town on Monday and return on Tuesday. There will be a lot of people with children in the Science and Technology Museum (especially the Children's Museum) and the Military Museum, and there should be more people on weekends, so I arrange it during the week. Peking University and Tsinghua University need to pay attention to the opening hours of the schools in advance. We only visited Peking University this time.

The first thing to consider when traveling with children is physical strength, so basically there is a nap time every day (but this time is not necessarily after lunch, hahaha), so we are full of energy and vitality every day.

D1: Chengdu—Beijing takes the G90, departs at 3:00 pm, arrives in Beijing West after 7 hours and 50 minutes, takes a taxi to the hotel, checks in, and sleeps.

D2: I ate something casually at the hotel in the morning, set off around noon to the first expo, and then found a famous Beijing snack bar near the first expo—Huguosi Snacks. Here we drank Beijing's famous but unpalatable bean juice, and some things that didn't leave much impression after eating.

After eating, we went to line up to enter the museum. It is said that if you want to understand Beijing and its history as quickly as possible, it is absolutely right to come to the first expo. It records the past and present of Beijing, and records the customs and customs of Beijing.

After visiting the first expo, I went out to have a look, yo, there are many people queuing up at the entrance to prepare for the exhibition hall, and there are many teams. I am really glad that we came earlier. After looking at the time, we decided to take the bus back to the hotel to rest and go out later.

It was almost after 5 o'clock when I woke up, and I went out to Nanluoguxiang, where I ate various snacks and visited various small shops, but there were really many people, so I walked out of the alley along the crowd. Walking on the street, you will arrive at Yandai Xie Lane in a short while. There are also a lot of people here, and Shichahai is just across the alley. We took a cursory look here, then went out along Qianhai and took a car back to the hotel.

D3: To go to the Forbidden City today, the hotel we booked is not far from the Forbidden City, and it takes only 25 minutes to walk, which is a few hundred meters longer than taking the bus, and it takes about the same time, so we decided to walk there. Immediately when we arrived at the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City, we saw many people walking back. We thought they were tourists who had finished their tour. Later, we found out that the Forbidden City does not sell tickets on site. They must book online in advance. These people have neither made an appointment nor Those who are unwilling to buy tickets from the scalpers will only return without success.

Route of the Forbidden City: Meridian Gate - Jinshui Bridge - Hall of Supreme Harmony - Hall of Central Harmony - Hall of Preserving Harmony - Gate of Qianqing - Jiaotai Hall - Kunning Palace - Imperial Garden - via East Six Palaces - — Treasure Hall — Out of the Gate of Gods and Martial Arts

When I came out of Shenwumen to check the time, it was already past 1 pm, so I was so hungry. So I found a restaurant called "Dahai Bowl" on the APP with good reviews and only a few hundred meters away from us, so let's eat here. When I arrived, I found that it was actually next to our hotel, and once again found that the location of our hotel was very good. After eating, you can go back to the hotel and rest.

In the evening, I invited a friend to have dinner together. I originally planned to go to Xiao Diao Li Tang in Wangfujing, but I went to qualify before 6 o’clock. The store directly told us to stop qualifying, and all the numbers for today have been issued. We went to the Four Seasons Minfu ranking again, and we took the number, but we were told at least 1.5 hours later, it was too hot. It's not easy to eat a roast duck.

D4: Pack up your things, check out, and go to Gubei Water Town. Ever since I knew about Gubei Water Town, I have been planted like crazy, and today is finally here. From the hotel to the No. 1 parking lot in Gubei Water Town, we drove for about 2 hours. Take the shuttle bus from the No. 1 parking lot to the entrance of Gubei Water Town Scenic Area, check in at the visitor center and buy tickets to enter the scenic area, and then take the shuttle bus to the hotel where you are staying. If it is a hotel booked in the scenic area, all shuttle buses in the scenic area can be used for free.

After putting the things in the tent, I went to the small town to eat something casually. When I came to Riyue Island Square, I happened to see the staff preparing for the "Summer of Bubbles" (event time 14:00-15:00), and immediately the children around gathered in this bubble-only world.

At 15:00, there was also a show on the old stage of Riyue Island Square, so we ended the summer of bubbles more than 10 minutes earlier. Dad took his son to clean up the bubbles. I found a place to rest in the theater seating area. , waiting for the upcoming program here. Here we watched the Peking Opera "Mother-in-law Tattoo", enjoyed folk acrobatics and juggling performances, and listened to cross talk.

When you come to Gubei Water Town, don’t miss the wonderful programs at night, such as the UAV Kongming Lantern Show, the Great Wall Music and Water Dance Show, and the night tour of the Great Wall with a small horse lantern. Due to the temporary maintenance of the cableway for the night tour of the Great Wall, our night tour The tour of the Great Wall has to be cancelled, but for the other two "shows", we still decided to go back to the tent to rest and recharge our batteries.

When we woke up, it was almost 6 o'clock, and we leisurely came to Sun Moon Square again. At this time, the square was much more lively than in the afternoon, and it felt like everyone had gathered here. A lot of people surrounded the corner of the square, and there was a band performing there. Next to it is the beer night market. We took a number to have something to eat, and secondly, to enjoy the drone Kongming lantern show here, and this is the number one perfect experience that must not be missed. Here the waiter only calls the number three times, and after the number is passed, it has to be re-arranged, so my father took his son to wait here, and I went to Qiaotou to shop for bridge cakes and tofu corners. After buying it back, the beer night market also began to arrange seats. The time was just right, and the position in the row was also good. It was in the middle, which was suitable for enjoying the drone Kongming lantern show that will be held later.

We’re full, we’ve had enough to drink, and we’ve seen the Kongming Lantern Show by drone, so it’s time for us to make a transition, hahaha.

The stars are shining in the sky, and the lights in the town are brilliant. We came to the Wangjing Tower, where there is a majestic Great Wall Music Water Dance Show, where we can feel the collision of music and lights, the blending of water and fire, and appreciate the beauty of water in music and light and shadow. magic.

Climb to the church on the top of the mountain, which is the best place to watch the panoramic view of Gubei Water Town.

After this lap, I didn't want to walk anymore. Fortunately, there was a scenic spot shuttle bus that took us directly to the hotel. I have to praise the service of the scenic spot.

After returning to the tent, I took a closer look at the environment here. The tent is placed on both sides of the stream, among the trees on the lawn, and is soaked in the aroma of Gesang flowers. Here, you can watch the clouds, watch the stars, listen to the wind, and blend with nature to your heart’s content. One.

D5: Woke up early in the morning, walked out of the tent, breathed the fresh air, and felt the breath of nature. The waiter brought the breakfast in a basket. After breakfast, we packed our bags and were ready to check out. We checked out the storage service at the front desk, and we could pick up our bags directly in the parking lot, which was super convenient.

The sky was lightly raining, and the Gubei Water Town in the rain was extraordinarily fresh and comfortable. After shopping for a while, we decided to find a place to do handwork, Yongshun Dyeing Workshop, where we can experience plant printing and dyeing and make fabrics by ourselves. In the kite workshop, you can experience making kites by yourself and feel the charm of Chinese culture in traditional crafts. In the lantern shop, you can learn to make small lanterns and feel the magic of color and light and shadow. After visiting these three shops, the son finally chose to make a table lamp in the lantern shop, so there was "Wukong and Bajie team up to climb the Simatai Great Wall".

It was noon after finishing the table lamps. After lunch, we still decided to climb the Great Wall in Gubei Water Town as originally planned. Although we didn’t take a night tour of the Great Wall with a small lantern, we can also go up to see the Great Wall during the day.

"If you don't reach the Great Wall, you are not a hero." Some things have to be experienced by yourself. I checked the information on the Internet. The Great Wall of China is the largest in the world. The Great Wall of Simatai can be called the largest of the Great Wall of China. This is the only section of the original Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty that has not been modified in my country. It means that it is built on the ridge of the knife and axe, which is extremely thrilling; "Dense" refers to the distance between the watchtowers. The nearest distance between the two watchtowers is tens of meters, the farthest is no more than 300 meters, and the average distance is only 140 meters; " "Odd" refers to the steep, majestic and majestic mountains of the Simatai Great Wall, and there is Yuanyang Lake (formed by the intersection of cold springs and hot springs) at the foot of the mountain, with rippling blue waves, forming a beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains; Advancing can be attacked, retreating and defending; "full" refers to the unique and diverse architectural styles of the city towers and enemy towers. It was identified as the "primitive Great Wall" by UNESCO, and the British Times once translated the Simatai Great Wall as "the first of the 25 scenic spots in the world that cannot be missed".

I have to say that we were very lucky. The rain stopped as soon as we bought the tickets to the Great Wall.

D6: Today is to go to the science and technology museum that has been booked in advance. The science and technology museum is divided into children's science paradise and the main exhibition hall. Children's Science Park is only limited to children aged 2-8. If there are no children of this age in the company, it is still impossible to book the Children's Science Park. There are morning sessions and afternoon sessions. We booked the morning session. The venue will be cleared at 12:30 noon, and there is no time limit for the main exhibition hall. There are restaurants in the museum, both buffet and light meals, and you can eat on the first floor after playing.

In the science and technology museum, you can play all day until the museum closes at 5 pm.

After coming out of the Science and Technology Museum, we decided to have dinner nearby, because it is very close to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, so we can take a look at the night view here.

Today my son played all day, and when he returned to the hotel, he took a shower and went to bed immediately. It was really a second sleep.

D7: Peking University is scheduled for the morning. We entered the school gate from the east gate of Peking University before 11:00, bought a map, and followed the map markings. We traveled around the Weiming Lake and passed the Peking University library (listening to the school’s students. The library has been renovated for a long time, so I can only see the library that was besieged), had lunch in the school cafeteria at noon, rested in the coffee shop, took the time to let the children sleep for a while, and finally left through the west gate.

From the west gate of Peking University, there is a bus stop 20 meters to the left, which can go directly to the Summer Palace.

When you arrive at the Summer Palace, you can also buy tickets on the mobile phone official account, and you can directly swipe the QR code at the ticket gate to enter, without cumbersome procedures such as ticket exchange.

Still adhering to the principle of not turning back, our route: East Palace Gate, Paiyun Temple, Foxiang Temple, Nanhu Island, Marble Boat, North Palace Gate, Suzhou Street is closed at 5 o'clock, and there is no tour. Considering that it is too hot for the cruise during the day, I promised my son to take him on the cruise at night, go out of the North Palace Gate to the right, and take the subway to Shichahai.

D8: Military museum, there are quite a lot of equipment inside, fighter jets, reconnaissance planes, tanks, gunboats, rifles, sniper rifles... Here you can also learn about the military history of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, ancient and modern Chinese military history, and world military history. Maybe it's the characteristics of boys. My son is so fascinated by this place, his eyes are always shining, and he looks at every exhibit here carefully, so that we will come out at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

When we got out of the museum, we found a restaurant not far from the Military Museum for dinner. It was called Luyuexuan Sheep Scorpion. It tasted good. While we were eating, we kept listening to the boss answering the reservation call, but they all told us that we would not accept reservations for the day, which shows the business nice.

After eating at 3:30 in the afternoon, I decided to take the bus to Tiananmen Square to watch the flag-lowering ceremony at 7:00. Why watch the flag-lowering ceremony instead of the flag-raising ceremony? There are two main points: 1. To see the flag raising, you need to leave for Tiananmen Square at 3:00 in the morning, and you really can’t get up. 2. It is said that the flag-raising ceremony on the 1st of each month is the most spectacular battle, and the rest of the time is similar to the flag-lowering ceremony.

At 4:00 p.m., the security check entered Tiananmen Square. At this time, there were not many people around the national flag. We found a better place to wait. If we thought we were going to go shopping, we would be wrong because If you want to come later, you can only see the head.

D9: Today is the last day in Beijing, and we have to take the train back to Chengdu early tomorrow morning. So today we focus on leisure and go to Jingshan Park near the hotel. Tickets for Jingshan Park can also be swiped with "one card", which is convenient. After entering the park gate, walk along the right hand direction, and you will arrive at the place where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself in a while. You can go up the mountain from here. You can take a panoramic view of the Forbidden City at the highest peak. You can go down the mountain along the direction without turning back. Walk 500 meters on the right hand side of Jingshan Park to Beihai Park, but we didn't go there, but found a Beijing restaurant, and went back to the hotel for a lunch break after lunch.

After waking up, we were ready to go shopping. We went to Fuhuazhai. It seems that our current boyfriend Li Xian also checked in here. This restaurant was founded by the descendants of the royal chefs of the Qing Dynasty. The pastries are exquisite, and they don’t taste as rough as the northern pastries. It’s a few streets away from a certain Xiangcun. The luck is also good, the ranking is the dragon couch that the children like most, sitting on the dragon couch and tasting the palace cakes, it's beautiful.

In the evening we bought some snacks near Shichahai, and then took the cruise ship, eating various snacks while rowing to end the day's trip.

D10: Beijing - Chengdu
