Taiwan 6 days free travel for two
(Taipei-Kaohsiung-Kenting-Taipei 2019.4.29-5.5)
Preparation
First, before you decide to go to Taiwan, go to the immigration hall of Zhengzhou with your wife half a month in advance to apply for the "Taiwan Travel Permit". Waiting for the courier to receive it. It's that simple... (Three days! Received the pass in only three days, which is unimaginable compared to before, and the efficiency is amazing!)
Second, contact a travel agency friend to help us book air tickets and hotels. My friend helped us apply for the "Taiwan Entry and Exit Permit of the Republic of China". This permit is required to enter Taiwan. It is different from the "Taiwan Travel Permit" issued by the mainland, but both are indispensable. are extremely important! The "Taiwan Free Travel Entry Permit" will give feedback in about three days, and then it will be OK to print it yourself. Remember that it must be printed in color.
Later, I found that I can handle it by myself on the powerful ZF treasure.
Documents provided for the "Taiwan Free Travel Entry Permit":
(1) A two-inch color personal photo with a white background;
(2) A copy of the front and back of the ID card
(3) A copy of the household registration booklet (first page, household home page, personal page, change page)
(4) The front page and endorsement page of the mainland residents' travel permit to Taiwan (color scanned copy);
(5) Bank deposit certificate (not less than 50,000 yuan, the date of account opening is one month ago)/gold card (the name is pinyin on the card)/income certificate (more than 130,000 yuan) (choose one of the three)
(6) The emergency contact person's ID card and household registration book (preferably a direct relative with the same household registration book, and the best marriage certificate for husband and wife)
Third, determine the travel and return time, reconfirm the air ticket, approximate itinerary, and hotel information, and carry the "Taiwan Travel Permit" and the printed "Taiwan Free Travel Entry Permit" with you (these two certificates are indispensable). I exchanged NTD 10,000 through a travel agency or at a bank (TWD 10,000÷4.5=RMB 2222)
☆Tips on the exchange rate: about 4.5 (RMB 1 = NT$4.5), about NT$20,000 for the whole journey is basically enough!
Fourth, the question of importance, everyone must ask how much money is appropriate to bring? Hee hee, there is no need to worry about it at all. Carry a small amount of Taiwan dollar cash (for taking taxis and eating in small restaurants), credit cards UnionPay and Visa are all OK (it’s up to you... Airport duty-free shops and Japanese pharmacies are easy to visit), ZF Bao, W The letter is also fully usable (there are big red envelopes you can get!) It doesn't feel like you are in China. . . . There is simply no sense of incongruity! ! The motherland is strong! Happy people!
That way you'll be ready to go anytime, hahaha
Fifth, the finale issue, as for the mobile phone network. Before going to Taiwan, you can dial 10086 (if you are a mobile phone) to buy a Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan package, 148 yuan for 7 days of unlimited play, and if you have an urgent matter in China, you can get it done in minutes. Or apply for a mobile phone card of a local communication company after arriving in Taiwan. (There are many Taiwanese communication companies at the airport, you can choose as you like) Combined with the itinerary in Taiwan, choose a package for a few days.
I bought a phone card with unlimited traffic + 15 minutes of talk time for 5 days. Can be contacted at any time, and can meet the strong psychological needs of all kinds of circles at any time...
You can download the "Taiwan High Speed Rail APP" and "Google Maps APP" on your mobile phone in advance, which is very necessary and convenient. If you want to know what delicious and fun places are near your location, then our commonly used ordering app "MT" or "DZDP" is also easy to use and is a must-have product.
Sixth, let me explain our itinerary to you. We start from Zhengzhou. After entering Taiwan, we go from Taipei→Kaohsiung→Kenting (the southernmost tip)→Taichung→Taipei. We go all the way south and then north just to have enough fun. Shopping in Taipei, boarding the plane home.
Well, after understanding the above situation, make full preparations, dear everyone, you can set off at any time, go go go
Day 1 Zhengzhou City→Taipei Taoyuan Airport→Kaohsiung City (Liuliding Art at Formosa Station, Eslite Bookstore, Wenheng Night Market)
Excited! So excited! It took about two and a half hours to arrive in Taiwan from Zhengzhou by plane, and the plane landed at Taipei Taoyuan Airport. We don't have a lot of luggage and the boxes are not big, so we carry it with us, which saves a lot of waiting time for luggage check-in.
Apply for a phone card at NT$250 for 5 days, including unlimited data + 15 minutes of calls (you can convert it by ÷4.5), and the beautiful waiter will help you change the card. It is also necessary to bring a mobile phone to change the SIM card, Xiaochacha, after all, there will be no beautiful women to help you when you change it back. . .
Carrying luggage and following the instructions all the way to go through the immigration process, you need to show your pass and Taiwan entry permit at the same time, and collect your profile picture and fingerprints at the same time. Never bring meat products, never bring meat products, never bring meat products! ! ! Otherwise, a fine of up to NT$1 million will be imposed. Therefore, if there are meat products, it is recommended. . . . eat it! The most environmentally friendly solution I can think of.
After entering the country, you can apply for a MRT card, which is equivalent to a bus card in the mainland. Taiwan's "MRT" is our "subway", but it is said in a different way. You can go to any 7-11. The card has many different patterns and you can choose freely. You can buy 100 cards, and you can charge as much as you like. It is recommended to charge 400 cards and it will be OK. You can buy it by subway, bus, or 7-11 Everything can be used, and recharging is also very convenient.
It took more than 2 hours to take the subway from Taoyuan Airport to Taoyuan High Speed Rail Station, and transfer to the high speed rail all the way south to Kaohsiung Zuoying Station.
From Zuoying Station, take the subway to "Sanduo Shopping District Station" and you will be near the hotel where we stayed. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Hanxuan International Hotel. When passing through "Formula Island Station", I got off the bus and visited the very distinctive glazed dome hall, which is dreamy and gorgeous.
Eleven hours have passed since I left home at 4:30 in the morning and rushed to the airport to take the earliest flight to the moment I walked out of the Sanduo shopping district subway station.
But when you see the clean streets and smell the humid air, the tiredness of the journey is instantly gone. Blue sky, white clouds, bright sunshine, bustling businesses, neat vehicles, humble people, locomotives passing by from time to time, everything around is what you imagined Taiwan should be like.
At about 5:00 p.m., I stopped and sorted out at the hotel, and I couldn't wait to start the real trip to Taiwan.
The two walked arm in arm in the evening streets of Kaohsiung, feeling the beauty of Taiwan begins with a flowery branch. This is a small shop called Yihua Sailfish Heilun, run by a family, with only 5 or 6 tables, but there is an endless stream of diners. There was an old man in his sixties or seventies who seemed to be a regular customer. When the boss brought a bowl of hot fish soup, he sat opposite him, untied his apron, lit a cigarette, and chatted in local dialect. . So natural and habitual. There is a plaque on the wall that reads "If you don't have anything in your heart, don't ask for it outside", and the "Taiwan Times" used a full 3 pages to report on this store.
(You have to ask what is the flower branch? Is it? Before I came to Taiwan, I didn’t know what it was. Later, I realized that it is what we call cuttlefish. The flower branch is a very popular ingredient in Taiwan. It is used to make Stewed dishes, soups, flower stick balls, and salt and pepper flower sticks are all very delicious.)
Eslite Bookstore is a comprehensive bookstore in Taiwan, and it is said to be the only profitable physical bookstore in the world. Sitting under the bookshelf at the Eslite Bookstore on the 12th floor of the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi shopping mall, I read a book, changing my mood of a little impatience due to traveling all the way.
Wenheng Night Market is a place frequented by locals, and many locomotives stop to pack and take away. You can search for "Kaohsiung Main Street Night Market", it is said that the food there is more delicious! Licorice Guava, Aiyu Lemon, Taiwanese local dishes, flower branch noodles, fish maw porridge, dry fried eel, light taste. The fruit shop on the way back to the hotel is full of all kinds of tropical fruits and Taiwanese special fruits. I brought a box of pineapple, which is juicy and sweet. It is the best pineapple I have ever eaten, bar none!
Day 2 Kaohsiung City (Pier-2 Art Zone)→Kenting (Haisheng Museum, Beach, Locomotive, Houbi Night Market)
Originally, today's plan was to go to Kenting after breakfast, but because I arrived late yesterday and wanted to appreciate Taiwan's cultural and creative features, I slightly changed the itinerary.
After coming out of the hotel, transfer from Sanduo Shopping District Station to Yanchengpu Station via Formosa Formosa Station to experience the cultural and creative atmosphere of Taiwan.
Charm--The Pier-2 Art Zone
Taiwan already has a very artistic atmosphere, and you can feel the atmosphere of art in public spaces such as airports and stations. The Pier-2 Art District, similar to Beijing 798 and Guangzhou Red Brick Factory, has various art exhibitions and works of artists. Don’t miss it if you like it.
Yanchengpu Station--Beautiful Island--Zuoying High Speed Rail Station opened the seaside tour of this trip to Taiwan. There is a special bus from Zuoying to Kenting, and you can also carpool there. The cost is basically the same.
It is NT$400, but the bus will stop at several stops, and carpooling will be much faster.
There was a marine life hall in the itinerary of Kenting. When I learned that I would pass there, I got off the bus temporarily. Tickets were 450 per person. I left my luggage at the information desk and walked into the marine life hall with the sea breeze.
All kinds of marine life and ecological species in Taiwan's waters are displayed here. What is shocking is the lovely beluga whale, whose distant and clear cry welcomes us.
There is a special line 101 from the Haisheng Museum to Kenting Main Street, and you can get about 50 cars by swiping the Easy Card. The platform has a timetable, which is very convenient. We live in Lili Shanlin Hotel on the bustling Kenting Street. It is very close to the night market, shopping, and the beach.
It is said that the name of Kenting is from the Qing Dynasty. A group of strong men came from the mainland to cultivate the southernmost place in Taiwan, and this place was called "Kenting" by later generations. Kenting is a bay with beautiful scenery and many scenic spots. It is definitely not realistic to walk, and it is not cost-effective to take a taxi. There are several car rental companies that can be considered. There are battery cars and motorcycles, 600 units in 24 hours, plus 50 NT dollars of oil, which is enough for 24 hours to play.
Ride to the back wall of "Hui Ge Sashimi", and have an exciting raw sea urchin. The sea urchin is still moving. Hui Ge personally taught us how to eat it. An old restaurant, Hui Ge is very nice and talkative, and the dishes are not expensive and affordable.
The fried fresh milk, QQ custard, home-brewed beer, various seafood skewers at the Kenting Street Night Market, and the small ethnic shops on the street are very worth visiting.
It was a matter of time again, and I couldn't go to the beach in time to watch the sunset. I learned from the car rental brother TAKA that Guanshan in Kenting is one of the three most beautiful sunsets in the world. If you come to Kenting next time, you must experience it. . .
Day 3 Kenting (Maobitou, the beach in the rainstorm)→Taipei (Liaoning Night Market)
If you haven't seen the sunset, then watch the sunrise.
Unexpectedly, it started to rain at 4 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast at the hotel, I drove a motorcycle and looked at the looming sea view to Maobitou. A tidal flat halfway attracted us, with mimosa everywhere, and many acacia trees with bean clips.
Maobitou is a good place to climb up and watch the sea. It is named after a reef that looks like a lying kitten on the seashore. Tickets are 60 sets/person, and there are two viewing platforms where you can see different scenery. Although it is a scenic spot, it is different from the mainland. The things here are very cheap. I brought local clothes for my family and ate fruits until I was full! Lucuma, custard fruit, lotus mist and unknown fruits are so sweet, super sweet. This is the fruit with the most varieties and the best taste that I ate during this trip to Taiwan.
After going through the bay and fishing village to Baishawan Beach, the water and the sky meet and stretch as far as the eye can see. The white sand and blue sea are very beautiful.
We experienced heavy rain on the beach, dark clouds overwhelmed the top, and the sky, sea, and sand were clearly layered, which was another taste. My whole body was soaked, so I rushed to the umbrella to shelter from the rain, and when the rain stopped, I bought a poncho and went back to the hotel.
Chasing the rain all the way, you can imagine how comfortable it is to experience the heavy rain on the seaside road and riding a motorcycle. Fortunately, I had a helmet, otherwise the raindrops would definitely swell my head.
Back to Kenting Main Street to return the motorcycle, book a car from Kenting to Kaohsiung, and go back to the hotel to change clothes. I ate my last meal in Kenting at the famous online celebrity shop "Dayu Canteen".
From Kenting to Kaohsiung, transfer to the high-speed rail, arrived in Taipei at 7:00 pm, and checked into the Taipei Capital Hotel.
The Liaoning night market is very close to the hotel, just walk across a few streets.
The 60-year-old Pan’s old-fashioned beef noodles must be tried. Taiwan’s beef noodle culture is very powerful. Different parts of the beef are marinated in different ways. The soup of beef noodles can also be divided into soup and clear soup. A bowl of ordinary beef noodles can definitely taste different layers.
You should also try the lotus seeds and taro. Friends who like all kinds of desserts are blessed.
Day 4 Taipei (National Palace Museum, Shilin Official Residence, Shilin Night Market)
It was raining today and we didn't go to Taichung to visit Sun Moon Lake according to the itinerary. We slept late and didn't start until 9 o'clock. Take a taxi to the National Palace Museum in Taipei, rent an interpreter, and listen carefully to the stories of the treasures. Walk all the way and look all the way, savoring the exquisiteness of the treasures carefully. I heard that this day is the first day of Grasshopper Jade Cabbage's return from the tour, and we are quite lucky.
Most of the exhibition halls on the second floor are works by Mr. Zhang Daqian, including landscapes, rain insects, and figures. In addition to the paintings created or copied by Mr. Zhang Daqian, the antique paintings can be faked from the color, materials, lines, paper, and mounting.
Take a break in the Zhishan Garden outside the Forbidden City. The fish garden, pavilions and pavilions, the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers are unique in this bustling city.
Shilin Mansion is the residence of Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling. The decoration style is one Chinese and one foreign complement each other. The two have their own bedrooms, study rooms and studios. The outdoor Chinese-style and European-style gardens are designed, and there is also a rose garden. It is said that Song Meiling likes roses very much. Chiang Kai-shek specially found hundreds of rose varieties to build a garden for her.
The most famous Shilin Night Market in Taiwan is here, just a 15-minute walk from the Shilin Mansion. Many online celebrity shops and online celebrity booths are here. Potato cheese, grilled octopus feet, oyster omelette, bitter gourd juice...you have to try it. I came across a Japanese-style muffin shop that just opened. It's super delicious. I highly recommend it!
Day 5 Tamsui (painted train, hot spring museum, Fuxing Park, Red Hair Fortress, Truth University, Little White House, Fisherman's Wharf, sunset watching at Shalun Beach, eating at Tamsui Old Street)
Tamsui District is located on the northwest coast of New Taipei City, Taiwan Province, on the north side of the estuary of the Tamsui River. Tamsui is the source of Taiwan's development, with Taiwan's history and the struggles of Taiwanese.
There are well-known Fisherman's Wharf, Lover's Bridge and Sharon Beach, which are great places to watch the sunset.
Take the Chengde Express in the hotel store to arrive at Beitou, first go to Xinbeitou to experience Taiwan's hot spring culture. There is a very creative painted train from Beitou to Xinbeitou, and there is a touch-screen cartoon promotional video introducing Xinbeitou in the car.
The Hot Spring Museum is next to Xinbeitou Station, a two-story civil building that records the development history of Xinbeitou hot spring culture.
There is a boat-shaped library next to it. There are three floors on the basement floor. You can relax and read a book. You can’t take pictures without permission. You can go to the service desk to apply and get permission.
On the other side of Xinbeitou Station, there is an open Fuxing Park with a nice and quiet environment. There is a free hot spring open to the public. If you have time or love hot springs very much, you can soak for a day and no one will care about you.
A few must-see places in Tamsui:
Red Hair City: On the hillside near the sea, there is such a red building among the green hills, green water, blue sky and white clouds, which is extraordinarily bright and conspicuous.
Truth University: It is just behind Hongmao City. When you come out from the back, you go straight into the inside of everyone. It is open. There were students coming in and out during our tour, it was a scene of a university campus.
Little White House: White buildings, exquisite gardens, and a small wooden building in the courtyard. You can take a nap, recharge your batteries and prepare to go to the beach to watch the sunset.
Red 26 is the most convenient bus to Fisherman's Wharf. You can walk around the bay, overlook the sea, and board the Lover's Bridge. If you like, you can wait here to watch the sunset.
And when we came to Shalun Beach, we stepped on the sand, rushed to the sea, picked up stones, and harassed sea melon seeds... When the sunset slowly approached the sea level, we left beautiful memories.
Tamsui Old Street is a must-visit place. Both sides of the street are full of specialty shops. Unlike most of the so-called specialty products or commodities that are the same in domestic attractions, this place is full of real local specialty products.
You can eat, shop, and play here, if you can afford it.
Day 6 Taipei (Pocket Museum)→Airport Duty Free Shop→Guilin
We are leaving Taiwan today, and there is still half a day left in the morning. We went to the well-known "Pocket Museum" which is very close to the hotel.
It is on the B1 floor of a building, almost all of which are works of world-class miniature masters, every image, every shape, every detail, so lifelike, you seem to be a giant observing everything about them and their lives, from every angle.
I boarded the return flight from Taipei Taoyuan Airport, and arrived at Guilin, the most beautiful place in the world, at 9:00 pm.
There is still rain, but it can't stop our foodies.
After arriving at the Hilton Hotel and settling down, we headed straight to a small local specialty restaurant. We had oysters, scallops, carapace and seafood casserole porridge, and tasted the taste of our hometown again. This meal was quite enjoyable.
Day 7 Guilin→Zhengzhou
I squeezed out time to check in on Elephant Trunk Hill, took pictures, and wandered around the Lijiang River on a bamboo raft, um, just wandering. Be sure to buy osmanthus tea, golden osmanthus and silver osmanthus.
Guilin Airport transited through Zhangjiajie, and the flight finally landed at Xinzheng International Airport at 5:30 pm.
If there are any deficiencies in this trip to Taiwan, it is that the itinerary should be more reasonable, the accommodation should not be so luxurious, and the time and money saved can be used to stay longer in the places you like. The most important point That is not playing enough, not playing enough, not playing enough.
I became a fan of Taiwan, not only the scenery but also people.
