The warm and detailed life is the greatest significance of this trip to Burqin. In the yard of Chonghuer Red Leaf Forest B&B, feel the fun of picking, experience the pastoral life, let the time slip away quietly, and feel the beauty of a different kind of travel!
With the increasing number of tourists in Burqin County, which has the reputation of "Fairy Tale Town", it has also sparked the development of homestays in small villages around Burqin County. Under the strong recommendation of my friend, I started a trip that I could go on and off, and the destination this time was Chonghuer Town.
Chonghur is a Kazakh language, which means "basin". Chonghuer Town is located in the northwest of Burqin County, 70 kilometers away from the county seat, bordering Altay in the east, Woyimoke Township in the south, Habahe County in the west, and the famous Kanas Scenic Area at the northernmost end. The altitude is 670 meters, and it belongs to the middle temperature basin climate. The town is high in the north and low in the south, with Burqin River as the axis, and agricultural and pastoral villages on the east and west sides. It is a big town that is dominated by agriculture and combines agriculture and animal husbandry.
Chonghuer Town is surrounded by mountains of different heights, and the central terrain is a low-lying basin. The Burqin River flows through the middle of this basin, and there are birches, silver poplars, willows and other forests covering one third of this basin. Looking from a height, the basin looks like a large natural garden.
Regarding this small town of Chonghuer in the northwest of Burqin County, enthusiastic local residents told me that it still has such a legend:
A long time ago, Chonghuer Township was originally a plain, and the Burqin River had a strong and urgent flow in Chonghuer. I don't know when a monster named Halong came to the river. Halong asks the villagers for horses, cows, sheep and various grains as sacrifices every year. A little unsatisfactory, Halong was furious, suddenly flash floods, mud and rocks rolled, floods destroyed houses and land, and swept away livestock and trees. The villagers were deeply affected by it, and they fled and moved out one after another.
Later, a sorceress named Kongtu Khan came here. Seeing that Halong was making troubles and harming the people, she was furious and turned her crutch into a sharp sword, and fought against Halong monster for seven to forty-nine days. Win or lose. The sky fell apart in the straight battle, and the sky was dark. The Chonghuer Basin was formed by the subsidence of the ground at that time, and the strange rock slope rose from the ground. It is said that the cracks on the rocks were split by the sword energy of the female wizard at that time. Later, both sides were exhausted and had to give up for the time being. The female wizard Kong Tuhan dreamed at night that the gods revealed that Halong was originally a mouse in the fairy river in the sky, but now it is stealing from the world to make troubles. If you want to defeat Halong, you only need to cut off the source of Halong's energy - the black spring. . After the witch woke up, she immediately searched for the black spring according to the revelation of the gods, and finally found the black spring five days later. The witch used her magic power to change the color of the spring water and add poison to it. Then the witch challenged Haron again, and finally killed the monster Halong after three days of fighting.
Since then, the river has been calm and the villagers have returned to their homes one after another, living a happy life again.
Such stories and legends full of magic and mystery have deepened my expectations for a trip to the small town of Chonghuer.
Due to the geographical location, beauty and richness of Burqin County, since the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, when China and Russia had regular flights, there are particularly many Russians who came to Burqin to do business, settle down, and even marry. However, many Russians chose to settle down in Kizilha Yingdi, west of Chonghur, opened up wasteland to grow food, vegetables, melons and fruits, built houses and settled down, forming villages, which were later called "Russian villages".
Therefore, the Chonghuer people were the first to accept Russian culture, especially promoting the popularization of farming, animal hide processing and coarse grain processing technologies. They are widely integrated into and active in all social strata and fields, exerting a subtle influence on the economy, politics and culture of Burqin County, leaving an indelible mark.
In 2016, Chonghuer Town established the Red Leaf Forest B&B Home Visiting Association. The association is located in Hezilehaying Village, Chonghuer Town. It is a leisure and sightseeing characteristic village integrating catering, accommodation, tourism and vegetable picking experience. Most of the houses in the village are based on Kazakh log cabins and original buildings, which are repaired and rebuilt. In summer, there are green lawns, vegetable gardens and seasonal vegetables in the small courtyard, stars at night, and pastures and horses. It is warm and romantic. Stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city here, enjoy the tranquility and tenderness of the paradise, experience the daily life of Kazakh herdsmen, and taste Kazakh delicacies.
I heard that Chonghuer Hongyelin B&B is a whole village, so I chose a day trip here out of curiosity. Randomly came to a homestay. The owner, Token Imash, has a unique farmyard. However, because of the wrong season, there are no flowers blooming in the yard, but the seasonal fruits and vegetables are still mouth-watering. This time, I also experienced a Picking for fun.
The 90-square-meter yurt in the garden of the homestay is full of ethnic characteristics. The yurt is covered with exquisite tapestry, and the walls are hung with exquisite hand-embroidered items.
"Wow! Such a rich food." A travel partner from Sichuan next to him was stunned to see so many delicacies. For me who likes photography, the most important thing is to let my camera "taste" the food first, so I took pictures of more than ten kinds of pastries, dairy products, jams, dried fruits and other snacks on the long table one by one. all over.
Take off your shoes, get on the kang, sit cross-legged in front of the herdsman's long table, drink a bowl of fragrant butter milk tea, taste the villagers' homemade baoersak, sanzi, oil fruit, and various jams, cheese, Dim sum, simply dizzying. I counted them on purpose. These pre-dinner snacks include yogurt lumps, bulsacks, ghee, raisins, red dates, thalmi, bear jam, strawberry jam, etc., a total of 17 kinds. The hospitable homestay host also served yogurt and milk tea to every guest. "I especially like to eat their bear fruit jam, which is sweet and sour." A travel partner from Hunan also put the bear fruit jam Put it into yogurt and create a pink milkshake, which is interesting and flavorful.
