There is an area in our country called Kham Tibetan Area, roughly in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture (part), Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, Changdu of Tibet, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan, Qinghai Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and other areas.
The Khamba Style Line that self-drivers often take is the self-driving route that connects these places, because the Khamba area has steep icebergs and snow ridges, rushing torrents, clear blue plateau lakes, and green grasslands full of cattle and sheep. So it has unique scenery in the world.
In addition to the scenery, the humanities there also attract the attention of the world. The tough and rough Kham men, the graceful Tibetan girls, and the colorful ethnic customs are all refreshing, open-minded and fascinated.
This line starts from Shangri-La in Diqing, Yunnan, passes through Sichuan, Qinghai, Tibet, and finally arrives in Qamdo, Tibet. Every place along the way, no matter the size of the place, is unique and can be called a classic. Here are a few lesser-known places to recommend, except for people who have been here by car, there are really very few people who know it.
1. There is Nixi Village 37 kilometers away from Shangri-La County. Although this village is small, it is very famous for its black pottery, and its firing skills belong to the national intangible cultural heritage. Here I was fortunate to see this kind of pottery making skills that has been passed down for more than two thousand years. Nixi Heitao is like a Tibetan man, unrestrained and forthright. Food cooked with it also has an authentic earthy taste that modern cookers cannot provide.
2. On the self-driving road from Derong County to Ganzi Prefecture, I passed a place called Zhengdou Village to rest. It belongs to Zhengdou Township, Xiangcheng County, Ganzi Prefecture. This is a small Tibetan village, mainly animal husbandry, traditional Tibetan houses . According to the local team leader, this village is relatively wealthy, and some girls get married, and the dowry can reach millions. I regret not marrying a wife in this village.
3. There is a Longla Temple in Laima Township, 36 kilometers west of Ganzi County, Sichuan. At the invitation of Kublai Khan, Bhaspa brought Master Ga Anidamba, Pazhu Dharma King Katu Danba Jiangcuo and Da St. Tanga, founded on the way to pay homage to Kublai Khan, has a history of more than 720 years.
4. There is Zari Yongkang Mountain near Longla Temple. On the mountain, prayer flags are flying, cypress trees are dense, shrubs are lush, and rocks of different shapes can be seen everywhere. There are various magical patterns on the rocks. On the rocks opposite the holy mountain, there are caves where eminent monks practiced in the past dynasties, and there are many traces of eminent monks practicing meditation in the caves. According to legend, Master Tsongkhapa and Master Padmasambhava have practiced here. In my opinion, it is just an ordinary hillside with such a tall background.
5. Mantou Mountain in Yakaba Village, six kilometers away from Ganzi County, is 3,450 meters above sea level. Here you can enjoy the network water system of the Yalong River, the Zhuodala Snow Mountain (4,798 meters) from a distance, and the whole view of Ganzi County. In the golden autumn season, you can also enjoy the golden world of Ganzi here and feel the different style.
6. There is a Bori Bridge in Xinlong County, Ganzi Prefecture. It was built at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. It is the longest-preserved, best-preserved and largest-span outrigger wood-stone bridge. In 1936, the Long March of the Red Army passed this bridge. Also known as the Red Army Bridge. It is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.
7. On the road from Daocheng to Litang, you will see a large area of huge gravel on the side of the road, which is spectacular. This is the Haizishan National Geopark, with an average altitude of 4,500 meters. It is the largest ancient ice body relic on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau , known as the "Daocheng Ancient Ice Cap". "Passing Through Your World" was filmed here.
8. There is a Baita Park in Litang, which is unique in the world. This unique White Pagoda Park is located in Litang County, Ganzi, Sichuan. According to legend, it was built by Songtsan Gampo to celebrate victory and promote Buddhism after conquering the Mu Dynasty. Because it is wrapped in white cloth, and there are precious religious relics, luminous pearls, fire dragon pearls and other rare treasures in the tower, it is named "White Pagoda", and the local people are used to calling it White Pagoda.
9. In Litang County, there is a Litang Temple, also known as Changqingqing Keer Temple, which is located on the north hillside of the county seat. Originally a temple of the Black Sect, it was changed to the Yellow Sect and consecrated for it when the third Dalai Lama passed by during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. There are various types of gold-plated bronze statues of Sakyamuni in the temple, Buddhist classics, saddles used by the third Dalai Lama, murals from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and other precious cultural relics.
There are many other places on the Kangba Style Line, if you haven't been there, it's really unheard of. If you like to drive by yourself, you can experience this route, every place will make you linger and forget for a lifetime.
