After visiting the Loulan Museum, we started to eat. Fried dough sticks, tofu brain, side dishes.

Then we started our seventh day of itinerary.

On the seventh day, we will take the 218 National Highway. Go straight to Korla.

In Ruoqiang County, the sky was still a bit blue, but not long after leaving the county, the sky immediately changed to gray.

It is the first time for us to walk this road. The road condition is good and there are very few vehicles.

But the speed limit, coupled with bad weather, our speed has been controlled below 60 yards.

National Highway 218 wanders through the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert, where Populus euphratica stands.

Nearly 800 miles from Ruoqiang County to Yuli County,

Along the way, there are deserts, Populus euphratica, Tahe River, red willows, reeds and wetlands.

The Tarim River winds along the road, which is the source of vitality of Populus euphratica in the desert.

It's a pity that we didn't see the river.

But when approaching the 33rd regiment field, a wetland suddenly appeared, with reeds growing and sparkling water.

Just off the road, right on the edge of the desert.

We stopped and stopped. The wind was so strong that we couldn't stand firmly. It felt like we could blow people away at any time.

I walked to the edge of the water and took a handful of water. The water was not very cold. After I tasted it, it was very salty.

After entering the boundary of Yuli County, the red willows on both sides of the road are in full bloom.

It is a pity that there are no viewing areas along this beautiful road, only temporary stops.

The seventh day itinerary: Ruoqiang - National Highway 218 - Mission 33 (lunch) - Yuli County - Yanqi County (dinner, accommodation)

Leaving Ruoqiang County.

On the edge of the roadside desert, the water is like a lake.

my footprints.

Such a beautiful scenery, but unfortunately the weather is too bad to take good photos.

Reeds in the water.

The scenery along the way.

On the bed of the Tarim River, there are many Populus euphratica.

Red willows by the road.

When we arrived at the 33rd regiment, we ate braised noodles here.

Drive through Korla.

Yanqi has arrived.

After finding a hotel for a short rest, we took a taxi to Yanqi Night Market.

There are a lot of people, and I feel that there are all kinds of meals, and the price is not expensive.

Our staple food: haggis, barbecue, noodle lungs, naan, beer.

Cheers to friendship, travel, and literature!
