On the National Highway 317 Sichuan-Tibet North Line, there is such a high mountain:
The people of Dege described it like this: "Climb up the Queer Mountain, and beat the sky with a whip."
The Tibetan language of Queer Mountain is Zhuola Mountain, which means "the pass where the eagle can't fly". The air here is extremely thin, with a low temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius all year round, and the temperature can even drop to minus 40 degrees Celsius in winter.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Queer Mountain is a majestic pass on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Queer Mountain is located in the northern part of the Shaluli Mountains, with a maximum altitude of 6,168 meters. It is a typical glacier landform, and the snow does not melt all year round. Cross Xinluhai, go west along National Highway 317, and the winding road leads you into Queer Mountain. I saw the surrounding mountains are dangerous, jagged, ups and downs, and there is almost no vegetation on the mountains. The peaks are covered with snow all year round and inserted into the blue sky. The mountains are mostly greenish-brown rocks, blindly domineering and intimidating.
The main peak of Queer Mountain has two ridges in the northwest and northeast. On the northwest ridge, 3 kilometers away from the main peak, is Queer Mountain Peak, with an altitude of 6119 meters. It stands side by side with the main peak above the sea of clouds.
The mountain pass is 5050 meters above sea level, and there are stele pavilions standing tall. Standing here, the prayer flags are dancing vigorously, although it is cool and cold, you can feel the taste of "the world". Climbing high and looking far away, fascinated by the Cangshan Mountains, comprehending the magic of nature and even the preciousness of life, the thoughts are flying. Not far from the west slope of the pass is the famous "Queershan Wudaoban" against the streams and grasslands in the mountains, like the dress of this majestic snow mountain, charming and lovely.
Birds crossing the Queer Mountain is a test and rise to life, a symbol of the fierce struggle of human beings, and the silent figure shows us to conquer.
Since September 24 and 25, 1988, 10 members of the joint mountaineering team composed of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Kobe University in Japan have climbed Queer Mountain for the first time along the north slope in two groups. Queer Mountain has become a popular place for mountaineering enthusiasts at home and abroad. From the millennium to the present, in July and August every year, many teams will come to the foot of Queer Mountain to start the climbing journey of conquest.
Reminder: Mountaineering is an extreme sport, which must be organized by a professional organization and approved by the local sports department before it can be implemented.

The editor's "Crack in the Wall" recommended attractions:
Continue to drive westward from Queer Mountain for about 63km, and you will see Dege County, which extends around the center of Dege Sutra Printing Institute.
More than 260 years ago, on the hillside next to the chieftain's official village in Dege, after nearly 30 years and four generations of chieftains' elaborate carvings, this building covers an area of 5,450 square meters.
Today, this magnificent and simple building still maintains the appearance when it was completed more than 260 years ago. The reddish-brown clay built a thick high wall, which complements the black wall cap. The building is high and low, and the layout is unique and orderly. The craftsmen back then must have never imagined that the building they worked so hard to complete has become a monument of Tibetan history and cultural heritage.
In the Queershan Hotel in the city, it is hidden beside a secluded path, giving you the warmest enjoyment in winter. (For more details, remember to continue to pay attention to the editor's follow-up post)
