Introduction to scenic area
Yamdrok Yongcuo: Yamdrok Yongcuo is also called Yanghu Lake, together with Namtso and Mapang Yongcuo, the three holy lakes in Tibet. It is the largest inland lake at the northern foot of the Himalayas. There is a beautiful local legend that Yamdrok Yongcuo Lake is a fairy who descended to earth, and the adjacent Gangbala Mountain on the north side is a loving couple.
Karola Glacier: Karola Glacier is backed by the southern slope of Naiqin Kangsang Snow Mountain, one of the four sacred mountains in Tibet, next to the S307 provincial road. The upper part of the glacier is an ice cap with a gentle slope, and the lower part is two ice tongues in the form of hanging glaciers. The entire glacier covers an area of 9.4 square kilometers.
Gaji Zhuorong Ecotourism Experience Base: Gaji Zhuorong Ecotourism Experience Base is located in Mayu Village, Gyangze County, at the foot of the main peak of Naiqin Kangsang Mountain (7191 meters). Naiqin Kangsang Mountain is located in the eastern section of Lagui Gangri Mountains, surrounded by more than 10 main peaks above 6,000 meters, and it is also one of the four major snow mountains in central Tibet.
