foreword

Recently, there is a popular reality show called "We Are Real Friends". I watched two episodes during my busy schedule. It mainly talked about what Xu Xiyuan, Xu Xiwei, Liu Hanya, and Fan Xiaoxuan had seen and heard while traveling in foreign countries. There is also playfulness between sisters. When I watch it, I will always be infected by their friendship, so I immediately told my girlfriends, let’s take a trip too, it doesn’t need to go far, it doesn’t take many days, so Hong Kong became our first choice.

Hit it off! The happiest thing is that your proposal is always so easy to get a response.

So the three of them discussed where to go in Hong Kong, what clothes to wear, what items to bring, and what to buy when the time came. In the endless days of chatting, we finally started our journey smoothly. At the beginning of the travel notes, let’s review a set of pictures first.

At the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station, we contracted the entire night view of Victoria Harbour, and started our trip to Hong Kong with infinite admiration.

Encountering the tranquility in the busy city on Riyuexing Street, this place is definitely a niche place that just wants to hide.

In Tung Chung, we took the crystal cable car of Ngong Ping 360, soared in the sky, and watched the scenery of the sea and Lantau Island

Under our feet are the sea of stars, the journey, the journey.

Walk around together at Ngong Ping Market and take pictures of all kinds of funny girlfriends

Meet the pink sea-crossing corridor of super girl in Tai O

In the Sulu Cafe, enjoy a period of afternoon tea while looking at the criss-crossing people on the water.

Meet a group of cute and warm cats in the cat experience hall

Get lost in the "mountain city landscape" in Central

Travel through time and space in a retro grocery store and go back to Hong Kong in the 70s-80s.

And the most exciting part of the whole journey is of course being with you, because of you, the journey becomes more fun, because of you, the scenery along the way is more beautiful and colorful, because of you, even the food tastes better Also looks tastier.

All the joy is because of you.

About the itinerary

DAY1 Guangzhou - West Kowloon, Hong Kong - Night View of Sky Corridor

DAY2 Tung Chung - Ngong Ping - Tai O - Mong Kok

DAY3 Goldfish Street—Fa Yuen Street—Tai Kwun—select 18—Rampage Central—Sun Moon Star Street

Hong Kong night

If you arrive in Hong Kong from West Kowloon Station by high-speed rail, please be sure not to go to the next destination immediately. Because West Kowloon Station itself is a very worthwhile stop - not a scenic spot.

I guarantee that you will be shocked by its magnificence and attracted by its architectural lines, whether you see it for the first time or see you again.

Hong Kong is a place where every inch of land is expensive. Compared with those residential areas like honeycombs and the MTR stations in public areas, the area of high-speed rail stations is still very spacious.

The West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station is one of the largest underground railway stations in the world. The official data is: the total construction area is 430,000 square meters, and the total floor area is 110,000 square meters. For a person who does not have much concept of numbers, Only by seeing it with your own eyes can you feel its magnificence and shock. Walking in it is like being in the vast interstellar space, empty and lonely.

Follow the instructions in the station and you can walk all the way to the sky green belt outside the station, where you can enjoy the appearance of the entire building of West Kowloon Station, the smooth arc design itself is the embodiment of art; you can also walk all the way along the sky corridor on the top of the station Go up, closer to the sky, and watch the bustling Victoria Harbour.

The design of the Sky Corridor is really special. It is located on the roof of the West Kowloon Station building, because the appearance of the entire building is a curved line extending upwards, just like a corridor in the sky. All the way to the highest point is the sightseeing platform.

Strolling all the way up, you can clearly see the rows of buildings on the opposite bank, and the bright lights are on at night, giving you the sense of sight of thousands of lights.

Naturally, the higher the view, the better. There is no sweltering heat during the day at night. It is as comfortable as walking. Occasionally, a few residents run past us. There are really few people sightseeing like us.

The design of the corridor is very layered. You can take pictures from various angles from top to bottom, from bottom to top, so that more figures on the journey can be frozen for eternity.

On the last section of the road leading to the sightseeing platform, it really feels like a heavenly road~

During the walk, you can see unknown plants planted on both sides of the stairs, swaying in the breeze in the night.

When I climbed to the top, I looked back and saw that Juanjuan was surrounded by a sea of lights, so I stopped her and took a photo for her. Because of the handheld night scene, I have done my best for the clarity.

It takes about 10 minutes to climb to the high place, but the scenery is very different. Facing it is the famous Victoria Harbour, a must-see night view in Hong Kong. Compared with the hustle and bustle of Victoria Peak, there are really few people here and it is too comfortable, and the whole night is contracted by us. May I ask, is there anything more luxurious than this during the journey? !

The building composed of several triangles on the opposite bank is the famous Bank of China Building. The overall shape is very unique, which is particularly conspicuous among many buildings. It was designed by I.M. Pei Architects. The whole building is a square plane, which is divided into 4 groups of triangles diagonally. The height of each group of triangles is different, implying rising steadily.

The highly designed building on the left side of the viewing platform is the West Kowloon Opera Center. The exterior wall is designed like a fluttering curtain. It is obviously a hard material but has such a smart effect. I have to say that the designer is amazing. .

After watching the night view, if you don’t want to take the repeated route on the return trip, you can take the elevator on the sightseeing platform and go down to the floor leading to the MTR station. There are two stations to choose from: Kowloon Station and Austin Station. Compared with the distance, Austin Station is closer.

In a corridor on the way to Austin Station, the extended curve looks like a space-time tunnel.

Lantau Island trip

For this trip to Hong Kong, I discussed with my girlfriends for a long time before departure, which attractions to go to, because time is limited, and I am very greedy to go everywhere, the three of you talk to each other, and finally reach a consensus , take this route that can involve multiple gameplays of "sea, land and air", and the playing time is one day. In terms of schedule, you can start in the morning, take the cable car in Tung Chung to Ngong Ping, first go to the market in Ngong Ping, pay homage to the Big Buddha, take the bus directly to Tai O, an outlying island in Ngong Ping in the afternoon, and take the bus from Tai O back to Tung Chung in the evening .

The whole journey was very fulfilling, not tiring, and took a lot of beautiful photos, which is really suitable for our girlfriends trip.

The starting point is Tung Chung. First, take the MTR Tung Chung Line and get off at Tung Chung Station. After exiting at Ngong Ping 360, walk for about 10 minutes to the entrance of the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. Take the elevator to the ticket office. You can buy it on-site or book online in advance. The package we purchased in advance includes a one-way cable car, Lantau Island bus coupons, Tai O boat tour and a 20 Hong Kong dollar Tai O consumption coupon.

There are two cable cars to choose from, one is the ordinary cable car and the other is the crystal cable car. In contrast, the Crystal Cable Car has a 360-degree sightseeing effect, so the first choice is of course the Crystal Cable Car.

As one of the top 10 best cable car experience points in the world, Ngong Ping 360 takes 25 minutes to complete, with two transfer points connecting three sections of different styles of scenery. At this time, we are really glad that we chose the crystal car compartment, so that on the cable car, the front, rear, left, right, and soles of the feet are all completely transparent glass, and the scenery is unobstructed.

Looking at Tung Chung with God's vision, you can see a forest of buildings in the distance between the mountains and the sea, perfectly integrated with nature, while there is an endless stream of vehicles driving on the bridge nearby.

Crossing Tung Chung Bay and arriving at the steering station on the airport island, you can see the Hong Kong International Airport, which is one of the largest airports in the world and the only civil aviation airport in Hong Kong.

After a while, we arrived at the second transfer point. From here, the cable car slowly moved towards Lantau Island. The mountain view and the sea view coexisted. The scenery was so good that people were overwhelmed.

When traveling with good girlfriends, it is always inevitable to take a bunch of beautiful photos. After pushing up the seats on both sides of the cable car, the view under the feet is even wider.

Because each car is swept once, we cleaned it before we entered the car, so the glass underneath is very clean and translucent. The three of us were so excited that we sat on the ground and had a great time. In the end, the whole person lay down directly, and it was really the first time in my life to lie down and go sightseeing in the cable car.

When the cable car reached the last section of the transfer point, the altitude was a little higher, and it happened to be foggy, so the visibility was reduced.

At this time, it is like a fairyland outside the window~ It is also like flying through the clouds and fog.

From a distance, I also saw the world's tallest outdoor bronze sitting Buddha - the Tiantan Buddha.

The 25-minute cable car is still unsatisfactory. When I got off the cable car and saw the check-in point of this sign, I took a photo with my best friend to commemorate it.

Ngong Ping Village

After getting off the cable car and continuing to walk forward, you can see Ngong Ping Market. There are many restaurants here, ranging from Chinese food to Western food to Japanese food, or Hong Kong-style food. In addition to food, there are also many entertainment projects such as 360VR experience hall, 360 motion theater, and walking with Buddha. If you want to buy, buy, buy, there are also many gift shops where you can shop.

On the way to the market, I will pass these blessing drums. Each drum has different blessing words written on it: success, wealth, health, good luck, wishful thinking, auspiciousness, happiness, and peace.

There is also a sculpture of a cute little rabbit under the drum, holding a carrot in his hand, and the expression of "pleasing" really shouldn't be too cute.

After passing the blessing drum, there is a gourmet shop. Hejilong Nostalgic Snacks sells snacks such as cakes. It is a time-honored brand with more than half a century; Sushi and so on; AOK Hong Kong-style tea restaurant is obviously a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant, while Ngong Ping Restaurant focuses on Chaozhou cuisine.

In addition to meals, there are also a variety of desserts and snacks, such as Man Kee Dessert, Da Dolce Gelato Italiano selling ice cream, etc.~

Then pass by the 360 Motion Cinema, which is the legendary 5D cinema. Different movies are shown in different periods. If you want to experience a different sensory effect, you can buy a ticket to enter~

We chose to keep going.

When passing by a shop selling beckoning cats, I saw a large beckoning cat at the door, so Tingting and Tingting stepped forward to learn how to meow and meow together~

The stall opposite the Lucky Cat sells gadgets filled with insects, flowers and shells as decorations.

There are also snack bars opened by locals, such as curry fish balls, Shanshui tofu flowers, etc.~

There are also some colorful kites next to the small shop, which has also become a landscape in our eyes.

Then walk to Ngong Ping Square, from here you can lead to the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.

Baolian Temple is an ancient temple with a history of a hundred years. As soon as you walk in, you will see many faithful men and women who come to pay homage~ The incense is very prosperous; The tranquility of the land.

In front of the Daxiong Palace, there is a row of lush blue hydrangeas, and the blooming petals enthusiastically surround the entire courtyard, which is very pleasing to the eye.

Diagonally opposite Po Lin Monastery is the Tian Tan Buddha, which is an important landmark in Hong Kong and one of the filming locations for the movie "Infernal Affairs 3".

This majestic and magnificent Buddha, which was built by Po Lin Temple and completed in 12 years, symbolizes the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong, the prosperity of the country, the peace of the people, and the peace of the world. It is currently the highest outdoor bronze sitting Buddha in the world. Visitors can climb up the stairs to the highest point Pay homage to the Buddha.

There are also a lot of foreign tourists who come here admiringly. Looking at such a magnificent Buddha statue, everyone will inevitably take out their mobile phones to take a group photo.

After visiting the Big Buddha, we headed to Tai O. The bus stop to Tai O is diagonally opposite the 360 Motion Cinema.

Our package ticket includes a bus to Tai O, just go to the exchange office to redeem it.

fishing village trip

Walking through the mountain roads for 15 minutes, you can reach Tai O.

After getting off the bus, everyone else walked towards the shacks in the fishing village or the main street. We didn't follow the flow because we saw this pink corridor to the left of the bus stop. For those of us who are full of girlish hearts, this place is very attractive.

So the three of them rushed over immediately, and this place was not captured by tourists at all, except for one who was fishing, one who was walking, and one who was sitting on a stool listening to music, there were only the three of us. I have to sigh again, we have contracted another piece of scenery.

The faint pink stretches between the green mountains and the blue coast, and this pink color is more prominent, just like the scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's animations, full of dreams in fairy tales.

Take a walk along the pink corridor, turn a corner and you will arrive at this long straight corridor. At the end of the corridor is the green hills, and there are several families underneath. They are like shadows in the green, and it looks like a secluded mountain forest. This place is like a paradise, backed by the green hills and facing the sea.

We walked slowly along such a pleasant environment, and it is the best time to relax or let go.

Following Juanjuan, I can’t help but play while walking, and Tingting is behind us to help us record the funny moments

It also records the bits and pieces of our play together. Many times I feel that no matter how beautiful the scenery is, we have to share it with the right person, so the scenery seems to become more exciting, and the happy emotions between each other will be infected with each other. The whole journey It's even more joyous.

Meeting the mountains, meeting the sea, and meeting the pink corridor, this is the first impression of Tai O. The overall journey of Tai O has just begun, and I am full of infinite expectations.

Comment on the hut 5 points/3 travel notes mentioned

Tai O Fishing Village, the most characteristic and symbolic is the shack. As the oldest fishing village in Hong Kong, it still retains a simple and strong atmosphere. Those "high-footed" houses built near the sea are of different sizes and scattered in height. Beautiful forms a unique style of people on the water.

Many people say that this is the water Venice of Hong Kong. Looking at it this way, does it really feel that way?

There is a boat moored at the door of every household, and the villagers who live by the water have naturally made their living by fishing in the past. The mellow and still preserved original ecological lifestyle here makes people see the past years of Hong Kong at once. Time flies, the development of the outside world has changed with each passing day, and the residents of Tai O have their own rhythm of life. Rest at sunset, neither rush nor slow nor anxious.

The hut has a history of more than 200 years. At the beginning, fishermen who used boats as their homes were unable to get used to life on land, so they used

The timber built houses one by one, so that the fishermen could live and work in peace and contentment, and the way of living in huts has continued to this day.

Here, you can clearly see the shed built on the wooden pillars erected on the water. When the sea tide is high, it looks like a house floating on the sea. When the tide is low, you can see the high wooden frame exposed outside. It looks crumbling, but it is actually extremely strong, and I have never heard of the collapse of the shed, so there is no need to worry about safety issues.

In addition to living in their own homes, some of the current shacks have been converted into gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Like this shack with red lanterns hanging high, it should be a gourmet restaurant near the water. In such a quiet and quiet place In the fishing village, enjoying a simple and delicious meal full of fishing village style, it is also very enjoyable to think about it.

There are two ways to watch the sheds. One is to walk between the streets of the village, which is a relatively close view; the other is to take a local yacht and drive in the river to get a full view of the sheds. Take a closer look. And of course we have tried both ways, far view, close view, are highly recommended. Moreover, the way of viewing by yacht will also take tourists to the center of the sea to watch Chinese white dolphins. We are also very lucky to see this. This point will be written in detail later.

Comment on Dolphin Watching

Near the blue Tai Chung Bridge in the village, there are many locals soliciting customers on yachts. In addition to Cantonese and Mandarin, they can also solicit customers in English. It can be seen that the small fishing village is becoming more and more international.

And their soliciting mantra is, take a boat, you can watch dolphins. I asked them, must they see it? They said that the tide is high today, and the chances of seeing it are very high. In this regard, I am deeply disapproving, and only regard them as a routine of soliciting customers. How can it be so easy to see!

However, our package ticket includes a yacht ticket, and you can exchange it for a yacht ticket at a small stall next to it. Of course, you still have to experience it. Each yacht can accommodate about 10 people, and the people will set off when they are almost full. It's not a weekend, and there are neither too many nor too many people. When we arrived, the staff said, add us and we can go.

So I changed my ticket immediately and set off to the sea.

First of all, the yacht will drive in along the river, so that everyone can see the whole picture of the shed. After going around the hut, and when all the photos we were supposed to take were taken, the man in charge turned around and drove to the depths of the sea.

As we get deeper into the middle of the sea, the huts get farther and farther away from us, and the scenery in front of us is getting wider and wider~ The sea breeze blows on the face, with indescribable comfort and indescribable freedom It feels like galloping on the boundless sea, with no restraints, no obstacles, only the heroism between heaven and earth.

Those lighthouses floating on the sea or standing on the ground point out the direction for the ships going out to sea, and our direction at this moment is to set off to the dolphins. I was also torn in my heart, feeling that it was impossible to see it, but looking forward to seeing it very much, like an awkward child, pulling on both sides.

When passing by a reef, I saw an unknown tree covered with white flowers, which was extremely gorgeous. The waves beat against the rocks gently, and the edges and corners were smoothed over time.

There are also some egrets perched on the rocks, where they stay quietly, maybe they are perching, or they may be waiting for an opportunity to fish.

Immediately afterwards, the famous Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge appeared before our eyes. This is a century-old project that took 30 years to complete. It spans Lingdingyang, starting from Lantau Island in Hong Kong, passing through Tai O, crossing the Pearl River Estuary, and finally dividing into a Y shape, connecting Zhuhai at one end and Macau at the other end.

At this time, a plane just flew by, and it seemed so lonely in the vast sea. Looking at the sea always has infinite emotion, and my heart has never stopped looking forward to dolphins. It’s just that they have already arrived at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge area, so it’s probably useless if they don’t appear again. At this moment, the helmsman behind me pointed in the direction of the distance, which meant that the dolphins had appeared.

So I immediately stared at the sea without moving, and with the sound of a whoosh, the dolphin jumped out, saying that it was a white dolphin, but what I saw in front of me was pink, and it jumped back into the sea in just a moment, so the camera was too late catch. The exclamations around him also continued, wow, look, dolphins. I saw pink dolphins 5 times before and after, and I really feel super happy.

The encounter with the pink dolphin in Tai O Fishing Village came to an end, and we returned to the main street of the shack with a satisfied heart.

village street

After watching the dolphins, we went ashore and planned to explore the criss-crossing alleys in the village. These alleys not only retain the style of the fishing village, but also add some new ideas and new elements, which are very worth visiting. The main places to visit are Yong'an Street, Taiping Street, Market Street, Jiqing Street, etc. Some snack bars are basically concentrated on these streets.

At the entrance of the main street, I saw this stool by the sea, and there are many colorful cartoons painted on the dam behind it, which is very childlike. On the wall opposite the stool, there is a mural of a pirate captain.

As soon as the three of us saw the paintings on the walls, we said let's cosplay. Juanjuan brought an umbrella and treated it as a knife in the painting, and I laughed so hard that I lost the strength to press the shutter.

When it was my turn to pose for a photo, Juanjuan said, "Your expression should be a bit more aggressive, a bit murderous to look like a pirate." So I immediately darkened my face and started my performance, putting on a fierce expression like who would dare to provoke me. Hahaha.

After walking into the alley, the first thing I saw was this shop selling super-large cuttlefish. Looking at the cuttlefish on the cutting board, we were really shocked, it was bigger than a human face.

The boss is also very enthusiastic. Seeing us curiously watching and taking pictures, he immediately put a big one into our hands and asked us to carry it to take pictures. It is really heavy and heavy. If you buy a small portion of 55 Hong Kong dollars, we bought a portion to try it out, the taste is very crisp.

In addition to the big cuttlefish, there are also big fish eggs, which are also their specialty. There are two flavors, spicy and non-spicy, and a piece costs 7 Hong Kong dollars.

We bought two spicy ones and two non-spicy ones, and tried the taste of each. The taste of the big fish balls is better than that of ordinary small fish balls.

After eating, we walked across Tai Chung Bridge to Market Street and Kat Hing Street.

In the market street, there are many shops on both sides, selling all kinds of seafood specialties. You can also see that almost every store sells fish maw. First, it is known as "sea ginseng", and the sea area of Tai O is rich in yellow gum, which naturally becomes the main specialty sold to tourists in the village.

As for the price and grade, how to choose this still needs a lot of research.

In addition to isinglass, there are also some local homemade seafood such as dried salted fish, shrimp paste, fish meal, etc. As soon as you walk, you can smell the fishy smell of the sea in the air, which is also the breath of life in the fishing village.

There is also a small pendant in the shape of a puffer fish, which looks very cute

When I saw Zhang Caiji's store, I hurriedly wanted to buy a shrimp and pork cake to try, but it was not open because it was not a weekend.

With regret, I can only try it next time.

When I came to the vicinity of Guandi Temple, there was a small square. The surrounding houses were all in light blue tones, and there were vivid and Q cartoons painted on it. Only then did I realize that it was an advertising signboard of a small shop. .

Looking at a stool in front, everyone sat up and took a photo of their visit here.

I remember that although the gate is tightly closed, the retro green of the facade is also very beautiful, plus the red Coca-Cola basket, it has some pictures in the Hong Kong movies I watched when I was a child.

Tokyo Shido, the decoration at the entrance is also unique

There is also a row of dwarves hiding among the flowers and plants, and behind the dwarfs is Snow White.

Yong'an Street is a street opposite Jiqing Street, separated by the river. It is also a street lined with shops on both sides.

While shopping, I ran into students who just finished school. Their blue school uniforms were full of vigor, and they seemed to fit inexplicably with the tone of the entire fishing village.

Strolling in the alleys, you can fully feel the atmosphere here, and let the soul of the long-lived city rest.

Occasionally, I can see a few locals returning from fishing. They carry a bucket full of fish and walk towards home.

There are always fishing villages in the small alleys. Walking in them, I always forget that I am in Hong Kong at this time. Because here has completely subverted my understanding of Hong Kong, it is no longer high-rise buildings, no longer cars and horses, here is only quiet and comfortable, even if the occasional tourists are bustling, it will not change the style of this small fishing village itself.

Tai O Non Mauritius

When strolling in the alleys of the fishing village, you can run into one or two cats every few steps. Later, I discovered this cat experience hall, called Taiao Feimaoli. Different from other cat cafes I have seen, the cats here are not expensive breeds, they are all stray cats. The owner took them in and took good care of them. They are really caring.

Whether it is in the store or nearby, there are many cat elements, as well as wall paintings, the colors are bright and the mood is a little bit excited.

There are multiple packages to choose from in the cat cafe. You can choose to stay for half an hour, or one hour, or two hours, all with different prices. Each price also includes snacks and drinks, so it's really a bargain.

The cat is not afraid of people. It walks leisurely on the colorful railings, and sometimes just sits quietly, watching people come and go. When I interact with it, it looks at me.

Does this one look lovely?

There are also some cats lying on the ground, looking calm and relaxed.

The naughty one ran to the roof and looked into the distance.

Tired of watching, just lie on the roof and enjoy a good time that belongs to it.

This one is hiding under the flower pot, looking thoughtful and thoughtful.

Is this just looking back?

This one squinted his eyes slightly, with a lazy expression.

You found this little cutie under the basin, do you think we can't see you if you hide here?

Su Lu

Not far from the cat experience hall, there is a very distinctive coffee shop called SOLO, which is called Sulu in Chinese. I heard that the boss is a coffee master who has won many awards, probably because he likes the peaceful life in Tai O, so he opened this coffee shop here.

When I was at the door, I saw a pen and ink for writing calligraphy in a corner inside. I think the boss is also a gentle and elegant person.

The bookshelves at the entrance are full of rows of books, and there are many small activities related to Tai O.

All kinds of interesting and creative souvenirs~

After entering through the door, you can walk through the house and walk to the open-air balcony facing the water. Here, you can feel the life of Xiaozi in the shed.

We ordered a few drinks and some staple food, facing the beautiful scenery of the people on the water, enjoying this moment of leisure.

In the afternoon, let it flow slowly~

At this time, a cup of frozen salted lemon seven is the best match for summer.

This is our afternoon tea time, and it is also the time for our girlfriends to get together.

In normal work and life, we are basically busy with each other, and it is rare to meet and travel together, so we all cherish the present time even more.

Of course, the comfort here is not only felt by us. The diners at the next table were also enjoying themselves. They ordered a large glass of beer, added a plate of snacks, and slowly flipped through the books in the store.

At the end of the checkout, the boss also gave us two postcards. It was a small gesture, but it was very heart-warming, which left us with such a good impression that we never forget this place even more.

Before leaving, I took a lot of small details in the store, because I really like the atmosphere here, it is a kind of comfort that permeates the air, as long as there is the same frequency, you can feel it.

If you ask me what is the best time, then I will definitely say that the time that can be used to waste is the best time. There is no certain thing to do, time is at will, no anxiety, no pressure, just do what you like, maybe these things are useless and have no purpose, such as being in a daze.

When I was leaving, I passed by the entrance of the Tokyo Shiduo store, and found that there was a small road leading to the shore, so I looked forward and found this pier called Tokyo. It is very retro, and the style of the fishing village in the past is still the same.

art trip

Located in the heart of Central, Tai Kwun is currently the largest heritage conservation project in Hong Kong. There are a total of 16 historical buildings, including three statutory monuments: the former Central Police Station, the Central Magistrates' Office and Victoria Prison. It can be said that Tai Kwun has witnessed the history of Hong Kong for more than 170 years.

Walking into Tai Kwun, you can see buildings with a long history, learn about the history of justice and law enforcement in this place, and wander in the space full of artistic atmosphere and see various exhibitions.

The inside is very spacious, and many buildings are connected together, like a maze.

Except for the newly built Jockey Club Cube and Jockey Club Art Square, the others are all buildings with historical heritage, so the goal is also very clear. I like to watch art exhibitions and performances, so pay more attention to the Jockey Club Cube and Jockey Club Art Square. I like to understand architecture The historic site is to visit other buildings except these two buildings.

Of course, if you have enough time, you can visit all of them, which will take about half a day.

First of all, we came to the barracks building.

Built between 1862 and 1864, the building is one of the oldest buildings in the complex. The building has a total of four floors, but not all of them are open. Some of the open areas are equipped with historical story spaces, visitor centers, shops and restaurants.

We entered a door at random, and just happened to see this bookstore, which mostly sold books about art.

The historical space is an exhibition hall, which displays the history, development trends, related events, etc. of Tai Kwun, allowing visitors to fully understand the history of Tai Kwun.

The Jockey Club Cube is a new building, also designed by Herzog & de Meuron, which provides a unique multi-purpose venue for film screenings, conferences, seminars and educational activities. This new building is connected to the D warehouse and the E warehouse, and you can visit it along the way.

It can be seen that the entire space is composed of simple lines, and the sense of fashion is vividly interpreted.

When you walk into the building, you will be immediately attracted by these irregular but very peculiar stairs.

The adjacent E warehouse building was built in 1915. The E warehouse is connected to the art hall and has a ticket office, reception lobby, lounge and backstage facilities.

In front of the Prison Square, the white building is Building D

In a corner of the prison square, a lot of stools are placed

Jockey Club Art Square, there will be exhibitions to watch from time to time, and there is also a spiral staircase that is super suitable for taking pictures. When we came, the previous exhibition had just ended, and the next exhibition was being arranged, so we didn't have to go in.

Do you want to look to the left or to the right of the wall behind the Tai Kwun? I choose to look forward.

SELECT 18

Select 18 is a retro grocery store a few minutes walk from Tai Kwun. Because I like vintage flea markets, I came here to take a look. When we arrived, the door was closed tightly. We looked at the objects inside with a little disappointment lying on the glass door, muttering that this one looks very historical, and that one too. At this moment, the owner suddenly came from the inside and opened the door. I was surprised and delighted to see that he was still a foreigner.

After opening the door, we were allowed to visit by ourselves, and we overheard the owner talking on the phone, and he was actually speaking fluent Cantonese.

After entering the store, I was immediately surrounded by these large and small objects, so dazzling that I couldn't see them all.

There are old-fashioned typewriters, vinyl discs, posters, cameras, accessories, bags, lighting, glasses, and some unnamed items, some of which can be used or can only be used for decoration. It is said that most of the things here are Some of the old items from Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s are collected by the owner from abroad.

What's interesting is that very old and witty Cantonese songs are always playing in the store, and I can't help but think of some scenes in the 72 tenants. The items here are like those of that era.

I can't help but sigh, this place is simply a treasure chest. There are so many small things in a small shop, people who like Taobao should not miss it anyway.

After shopping in the store for about half an hour, I didn't find anything I liked, so I continued to walk outside.

In the streets near Daguan, there are many uphill and downhill landforms. Walking among them, there is a feeling of returning to the mountain city of Chongqing. In addition to the special landform, there is another special feature that there are many murals, graffiti, and some artists who set up stalls on the street to paint. It is really a neighborhood full of artistic atmosphere.

I like to run wild in such streets, and I feel that I can always encounter some small surprises invisibly. These little surprises are different from those given by scenic spots, because they permeate into life, in the streets and alleys, as if they were born with it, and blend with the surrounding environment.

So if you ask me which streets are here, it is really difficult for me to answer you, because these roads are purely based on what I like, and I also passed by the graffiti wall of the famous Graham Street in Central.

The colorful houses, the paintings on them, and the passing pedestrians are all the scenery in front of you

When the artist who was painting on the street saw us looking at him, he beckoned us to come over. Talk to us, ask where we are from, do you like Hong Kong, do you like his paintings? Then he said that he came from Italy and had been in Hong Kong for a month, mainly selling paintings for a living. His painting style is still very distinctive, 100 Hong Kong dollars a piece, as to whether it is worth it, this is a matter of opinion, art itself is priceless.

Passing by a restaurant, there are exotic paintings on the walls, which look very beautiful.

The graffiti wall on Graham Street in Central is a must-see place for many people who come to Hong Kong to play. It is rare that no one is taking pictures

In the landform that keeps going uphill, I found that there is an escalator on the other side. The escalator is an escalator connecting Central to Mid-Levels, so it is also called Mid-Levels Escalator. In the Hong Kong film "Chongqing Forest", Tony Leung, who plays the policeman, takes the escalator to work, and the heroine Faye Wong peeps at him from the apartment window. This scene is classic. Scenes.

Sun Moon Star Street

Sun Moon Star Street is composed of three streets: Sun Street, Moon Street and Star Street.

It is said that the name of Sun Moon Star Street originated more than 100 years ago. This was the location of the first power plant in Hong Kong—Wanchai Power Plant. Street, so it is called Sun Moon Star Street.

This area is very quiet, so quiet that we come to take pictures as tourists, it seems so abrupt. But every corner and scene here is worth savoring, it is very comfortable, and it is completely two worlds from the bustling streets outside.

This building on Moon Street is full of Piet Mondrian's painting style. It is really hard to imagine that it is actually a garbage disposal station. It is so beautiful.

Ted’s Lookout is a steampunk style western restaurant, very popular with crooked nuts, it’s also very pleasant to sit here or have a drink.

Then we continued to walk into the street and found this rainbow staircase~

Although the stairs are not long, they are colorful like jumping colors, which makes people feel good at first glance.

Market trip

I wanted to go to Huayuan Street just because of an accidental idea. When I was browsing the strategy in the B&B, I saw what fun nearby, and then I saw Huayuan Street, so let’s go.

We followed the navigation all the way from the bus station on Lianyun Street. We took pictures while walking, and there were no specific attractions, so we walked more leisurely.

Then it happened to be the weekend, and along the way, many Filipino maids gathered in the corner

When they saw us looking at them, some raised their heads and greeted us~

When I walked all the way to Fa Yuen Street, I found that the flow of people here will be relatively large. It really is a shopping place with high quality and low price, so there are many people who come to shop.

The products sold are mainly women's, including hats, clothes, shoes and so on. I didn't ask about the price, but some of the prices are indeed very cheap.

Goldfish Street in Hong Kong, as the name suggests, is a street that sells goldfish. The most peculiar thing is that many different types of goldfish are packed in transparent bags, or one, or several, and then hung up for sale in bags, and the prices are also marked on them.

It is inevitable that you will not be attracted by these beautiful little fish when you pass by. Whether you want to buy it or just look at it, you will turn around these goldfish.

These two bags are written with "parrot" species, one yellow and one red kiss through the bags, like lovers, when Juanjuan saw it, he immediately said, look, even the fish are torturing dogs. Hahaha

The whole street is about a few hundred meters long, but there are many stalls selling fish, big and small. Whether you buy it or not, it's good to walk around.

Mong Kok night view

In addition to being a good place for shopping and shopping, Mongkok is also a good place for taking portraits at night. There are billboards all over the street, row upon row, and at night, they are all lit up, which becomes a unique scene at night, so taking some night portraits has become one of the things I want to do on this trip, and I have a certain obsession.

Because I liked watching Hong Kong movies when I was young, I always felt that such streets are like some scenes in movies, and they have a very familiar feeling.

Whether it is a bus or a taxi, it has its own retro effect.

It is recommended that the best time is around 10 o'clock, because there are not many pedestrians on the street at this time, so you don't have to worry about people always entering the camera, and then the lights on the street are basically on, and they will be turned off one after another later in the evening. It will be much worse.

The following are samples to appreciate, hehehe.

Written at the end of the strategy

1. Preparation before departure

1. Hong Kong and Macau Exit-entry Permit, ensure that the endorsement is within a limited period, the G visa is for independent travel endorsement, and the L visa is for team endorsement. If you are a tourist with an L visa and want to travel freely, you can find a travel agency at the port (or find it in advance on a certain treasure) to pass the customs.

2. For Hong Kong dollar exchange, it is recommended to exchange a little pocket money, because you can directly swipe your UnionPay card to buy things, and settle directly according to the exchange rate of the day, so it is more cost-effective. Moreover, many stores in Hong Kong now have two payment methods, WeChat and Alipay. If you have not exchanged in advance, you can also take a UnionPay card at the local teller machine. According to the exchange rate of the day, a little handling fee will be added. If you do not withdraw much , is still very convenient.

3. Octopus is Hong Kong's transportation card. You can take the subway, bus, ferry, etc., and you can even go to 7-11 to buy things. It can be said to be very convenient. It is recommended to buy one.

4. For sockets, the voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts alternating current, and the frequency is 50 Hz. Sockets in Hong Kong are usually square or round three-pin sockets. It is recommended to bring a socket adapter. Some hotels will have it, but it is better to bring an extra one yourself.

5. For mobile phone card and Internet access, you can directly open the overseas data in Alipay, or buy a phone card.

6. Customs clearance ports, the most frequently heard ports are Luohu Port, Futian Port, Huanggang Port, Shenzhen Bay Port, Shekou Port, etc. We entered from Luohu, and originally wanted to leave from Luohu, but the latest time in Luohu is 12 o'clock in the evening. If you can’t make it in time, you can go to Huanggang Port. The crossing time is 24 hours. At No. 364 Portland Street, Mongkok, Prince Jinggang Hotel, and Yalan Street on the right side of Jindu Center, there are all-night through bus operations. , directly to Huanggang Port.

2. Accommodation

We stayed in a homestay this trip, which is very close to the Mong Kok MTR station. One bedroom and one living room. There is a bed in the room, and the sofa in the living room can also be used as a bed. The overall size is small, but it is quite good in Hong Kong. The price is about 500 a night.

3. About food

In Hong Kong, there are basically tea restaurants, and the restaurants that eat before and after are as follows:

A restaurant in Hong Kong, this one is eaten at random when you see it on the street. The price is quite satisfactory, and the price is about 60 Hong Kong dollars for a set meal.

Huaxing Ice Room, this one is for afternoon tea, in Xiyangcai South Street store. There were not too many people, so we ordered two drinks. Because it was too hot, we drank slowly, surfing the Internet while drinking, and then we were told by one of the managers. horrible.

Minhua Ice Hall is located in New Century Plaza. Because it is in a shopping mall, I think the price of this tea restaurant is still very affordable. The overall taste is also good. The most impressive thing is the egg tart.

Black tea ice room, after eating so many, this one feels the most satisfying, so I ate it twice. I recommend Iced Fire Pineapple Oil, Cheese Liuxin Toast, Fried Beef Satay, and recommended drinks such as milk tea and red stone ice are both good.

Jiajia Dessert, a dessert shop with long queues at night, photos of various celebrities who have eaten at the door, and I recognize Chow Yun-fat, the overall taste is good, and the price is relatively affordable.

Eighteen Paparazzi is also a restaurant where many celebrities eat. There are a bunch of photos with celebrities at the entrance of the store. As a person who does not follow stars, I looked around and only recognized one Joey Yung. The price is a bit expensive, I tried a few, the paparazzi powder is better, the others are average.

Then, the stocking milk tea in basically every store is good~ the milk tea basically runs through the whole itinerary.

end

Thank you for reading this long-winded travelogue. The three-day trip to Hong Kong ended in regret, and I immediately began to look forward to the next trip with my girlfriends. As for the itinerary in Hong Kong, if you need to ask me anything, you can add me on WeChat. I am Mo Wanyouyou. There are many stories on the journey that I want to share with you~
