June 13, the seventh day of the itinerary. Today I will be active in Kashgar all day, and I will go to the airport to return to Urumqi at 4:00 pm.

Depart at 10 am to the famous scenic spot Kashgar Old Town. Kashgar Old Town is located in the center of Kashgar, with an area of 4.25 square kilometers and about 126,800 residents. Historically, it was the site of the capital of the Karahan Dynasty, and it has a history of more than 800 years. The streets and alleys in the old city are crisscrossed, the layout is flexible and changeable, and the winding paths lead to secluded places. Most of the dwellings are of civil, brick and wood structure, and many traditional dwellings have a history of hundreds of years. It is the only maze-like city block in China featuring Islamic culture. Since 2009, the state has carried out intensive transformation of the old city three times, investing nearly 1 billion yuan to reinforce and transform traditional dwellings and increase tourist facilities. The old city of Kashgar is now a national 5A-level scenic spot.

When we arrived in the old city, it happened to be the opening ceremony once a day. Many tourists had gathered at the gate of the city. The local aunts and uncles spontaneously danced cheerful Uyghur dances, attracting some tourists to join in the dance.

At 10:30, the city opening ceremony officially began. The Uyghur hostess appeared with a microphone in hand. After giving a short welcome speech, a group of Uyghur girls in red and yellow costumes, flowered hats and long braids, They lined up in two teams and gracefully walked out of the city gate, dancing to the sound of beautiful Uyghur music. I saw that they were all handsome and beautiful, and all of them danced gracefully, sometimes spinning, sometimes twisting their necks, showing elegance in their gestures and gestures. The graceful dance was so pleasing to the eye, and won applause and applause from the tourists. Then young men dressed up as ancient officials and soldiers performed. The officials announced the rules for entering the city, and the soldiers lined up on both sides of the city gate. At this point, the opening ceremony was over, and tourists rushed forward one after another to take photos with the actors.

We walked into the ancient city under the leadership of Master Kong, and what caught our eyes was row upon row of residential buildings, mostly two to three-story flat-roofed small buildings, all of which were earthy yellow in color, and the doors and windows had a strong Islamic color.

The ground floors of houses on both sides of the street are shops selling local products and tourist souvenirs. Some shops even play musical instruments at the door to attract customers. An old Uyghur man danced at the door of the shop. In line with it, tourists stepped forward to dance with it.

Most of the alleys are pure residential buildings, and the alleys on the earth and stone pavement, the wider ones can walk on a donkey cart, and the narrower ones are difficult for two people to walk side by side; the long alleys are more than 600 meters, and the short ones are 50 meters to the end. The streets and alleys turn east to west, south to north, and twists and turns. It seems that the road is at an end, but there is another alley.

According to Master Kong, the floor tiles paved in the alleys are very particular. The octagonal floor tiles indicate that the alley can be passed, while the floor tiles of other shapes are dead ends. We wandered in the alleys of the old city, and sometimes opened the doors of the houses to invite Uyghur aunts or children to take pictures; sometimes we took pictures beside the flowers in the flower beds;

Stay in the old city until 12 o'clock before getting on the bus to visit the Kashgar Hetian Jade Exhibition Hall, and then have lunch at the nearby food street.

Go to the Id Kah Mosque at 2 p.m., located on the west side of the Id Kah Square in Kashgar. It was built in 1442 and covers a total area of 16,800 square meters. It is not only the largest mosque in Xinjiang, but also the largest mosque in the country. One of the largest mosques. This is an ancient Islamic architectural complex with strong ethnic characteristics and religious overtones. It sits west and faces east, and is composed of temple gate towers, courtyards, scripture halls and worship halls.

Master Kong told us that the parking lot of Id Kah Square was closed for some reason, and the vehicles must be parked in the nearby open parking lot, and suggested that we just go to the square to take pictures without visiting inside, because it will be the Muslim Eid al-Fitr in two days . We walked about 1 kilometer from the parking lot to Id Kah Plaza. We saw that the security measures in the square were relatively strict, and there were police officers patrolling electric balance vehicles from time to time. From a distance, you can see the famous yellow temple gate tower of the Id Kah Mosque. The towers built of yellow bricks are jointed with white plaster. The lines are clear and eye-catching. In the middle is the sky blue temple gate. There are yellow short walls on both sides of the gate. The length of the short walls is asymmetrical, the left side is long and the right side is short. On the outside of the wall, there is a brick column with a height of 12.5 meters. The bottom of the column is thick and the top is thin, and the top is the Bunker Building.

We stepped into the gate of the temple, which is also an arched structure. There is a table inside the door where the staff sells tickets, and there is a door next to it that leads to the courtyard behind.

On the way from the Id Kah Mosque to the Grand Bazaar, we saw the Kashgar Old City Outer Park on the Tuman Road, with ponds, wooden bridges, sculptures, and green spaces. It was very beautiful, and we all asked to stay here, so Master Kong will The car was parked in the parking lot of the old city scenic spot, and we walked to the park to take pictures. It took more than an hour to go from the gate of the old city to the north to the waterside promenade, with the old city as the background.

Then walk to Kashgar Grand Bazaar, Bazaar, which means market in Uighur. Kashgar was an important city on the ancient Silk Road and one of the main commodity distribution centers at that time. The Kashgar Grand Bazaar has a history of more than 2,000 years and was known as "the largest bazaar in Asia" back then. The full name of the Kashgar Grand Bazaar is the Central and Western Asia International Trade Market. It is located on the east bank of the Tuman River in the northeast corner of Kashgar, also known as the East Gate Grand Bazaar. With 21 specialized markets, it is the largest international trade market in Northwest China. There are many people in the Grand Bazaar, and the commodities are small daily commodities, which are not attractive to us, so we simply turn around and return to the parking lot.

Board the train at 4:00 p.m. and go to Kashgar Airport, take China Southern Airlines flight CZ6806 at 18:10 to Urumqi, arrive at 8:00 p.m., and stay at Grand Mercure Hualing. After checking in, everyone gathered in the lobby bar again, ordered tea, drank tea and chatted until the waiters got off work before going back to the room to rest.

June 14, the eighth day of the itinerary. Today is the last day of the itinerary. The nine group members will leave in three batches. Among them, the true hero and Zheng Jun will go to the airport at noon to take the plane to leave Xinjiang at around 1 p.m., and Shi Jun and other 4 people will go to the airport at 4 p.m. Rest in Urumqi for a day, and the trip to northern Xinjiang will start on the 15th. The plane will leave Xinjiang at about 7:00, and the three people including the fisherman in Shuhai will continue to stay in Urumqi to start the trip to northern Xinjiang. Everyone slept in and met at the restaurant at 8 o'clock. Shi Jun, Zhou Jun and Shuhai Fisherman decided to use their free time in the morning to visit the scenic spots in downtown Urumqi. So everyone bid farewell.

The 3 people who went to visit the city at 9:00 am took a taxi from the hotel to the city center, and first went to the Barkol Mosque. The photos of the scenic spot on Ctrip showed a Chinese-style building with cornices and brackets, but the reality was quite different. It was a square building. There is a circular dome in the center of the top of the building, and there are cylindrical watchtowers with onion-shaped tops at the four corners. The onion dome is inlaid with green glass, which is quite distinctive.

Going back to the International Grand Bazaar, the exotic buildings are still so dazzling, but the khaki figure of the Erdaoqiao Mosque feels that it is not so harmonious with the whole.

Go south to Shengli Road and find the Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Office in Urumqi. Unfortunately, the memorial hall is under maintenance and will not be open to tourists until late September. So I took a taxi to the Museum of the Autonomous Region.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum is located at No. 132, Northwest Road, Urumqi City. It was completed and opened in September 2005. It has a construction area of 17,300 square meters, one basement floor and two floors above ground. The main body is 18.5 meters high, and the glass dome is 29.5 meters high. The plane basically has a "one"-shaped plane symmetrical layout, with the style of the Western Regions and the local characteristics of Xinjiang. The name of the museum was inscribed by Chairman Zhu De, an older generation of revolutionaries, when he inspected Xinjiang in 1959. Visitors can enter the museum with their ID cards. The area of the museum is indeed small, probably only one-tenth of that of the Shandong Provincial Museum. The museum has 4 exhibition halls, 3 of which are open to the public, namely "Recovering the Glory of the Western Regions Yesterday - Exhibition of Ancient Historical Relics in Xinjiang", "Exhibition of Immortality and Shocking the World - Exhibition of Ancient Mummies in Xinjiang", and "Exhibition of Xinjiang Ethnic Customs". Visit and browse, for which audio guides are also rented. First of all, visit "Recovering the Glory of the Western Regions-Xinjiang Ancient Historical Relics Exhibition". The exhibition area is 1,500 square meters and more than 700 historical relics. Cultural relics, combined with sand tables, photos, charts, models, restored figures, drawings, rubbings, historical documents, interactive devices, multimedia touch screens, sound, light, and electric modern means, systematically demonstrate the historical development process and Historical overview of the developmental stages of primitive society, slave society, and feudal society in Xinjiang. This exhibition covers the longest history, from prehistoric to modern times, and exhibits the most abundant cultural relics with high historical value. Among them, the Han Dynasty silk fabric "Five Stars Out of the East to Benefit China" is the treasure of the town hall. This was discovered in an ancient tomb at the Niya site in Minfeng County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, by members of the China-Japan Niya site academic expedition team in October 1995. The Shu brocade armguard is rectangular with rounded corners, 18.5 cm long and 12.5 cm wide. Of the white silk belts, three of them were broken, and eight Chinese scripts were woven on the cotton: "Five stars come out of the east and benefit China". It has been identified as a national first-class cultural relic, the first batch of cultural relics banned from going abroad (outside) in China, and is known as one of the greatest discoveries of Chinese archeology in the 20th century. It's really amazing that there was a prophecy as early as more than a thousand years ago. Is it a coincidence or God's will? The original tapestry has been well preserved, and only photographs are on display.

"Eternal Immortality Shocks the World—Exhibition of Ancient Mummy in Xinjiang" is on the second floor, with an exhibition area of about 700 square meters. More than a dozen ancient corpses are exhibited, and a large number of fine burial cultural relics are displayed as an auxiliary display. Photos, pictures, multimedia touch screens, etc. Various forms of rich display content. The exhibition is divided into the residents of Loulan in Lop Nur, Xiaohe - the cemetery where thousands of coffins are buried, campers wearing masks of the amount of money, Zakunluke's painted masks, the relationship between the couple, the owner of the underground palace in Astana, and the Altay Stone Man There are 7 units including the sarcophagus tomb. From the Loulan beauty in the Tiebanhe cemetery in Lop Nur 3,800 years ago to the male corpse of Tomb No. 15 in Yingpan, to the mummy of Zhang Xiong, the former general of the left guard, servant, and general of the palace in the Tang Dynasty, covering thousands of years of Xinjiang mummy from prehistory to the Tang Dynasty The history is astonishing. The exhibition area of "Xinjiang Ethnic Customs Exhibition" is 1,500 square meters. It mainly displays Uyghur, Kazakh, Hui, Kirgiz, Mongolia, Xibe, Tajik, Uzbek, and Daur through display design methods such as wax figures and restoration of ethnic life scenes. The folk customs of 12 nationalities including Manchu, Tatar and Russian.

Return to Hualing Accor Grand Mercure Hotel at 12:00 noon. We will walk together to have lunch at Happy Nava Music Restaurant, which is ranked No. 1 on Dianping.com, and walk about 2 kilometers under the scorching sun at noon. , but after tasting the Xinjiang cuisine made by the restaurant, I think it is worth it. The Xinjiang cuisine served by this restaurant is very authentic, especially the grilled lamb chops, which are definitely charred on the outside and crispy on the inside, which melts in the mouth, making it hard to stop. No wonder there is a queue during lunchtime. After dinner, return to the lobby of Grand Mercure Hualing to rest. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, the pick-up vehicles arrived one after another, and everyone bid farewell to each other and left. The eight-day trip to southern Xinjiang finally came to a successful conclusion.
