Tengchong has always been a place of heart and mind. It is located in Yunnan, but it is not as lively as Lijiang and Dali. It is like a woman hidden in a boudoir, delicate and soft, retaining the original tranquility here.

Every autumn and winter is the most beautiful season here. The leaves begin to turn yellow gradually, and the large ginkgo leaves are yellow and eye-catching. The weather is slightly chilly, which is suitable for soaking in natural warmth and warming up the body. The ancient city of Heshun in Shihe Minshun, the majestic and beautiful volcanic landforms, and the special gourmet meal in Yunnan may have become the source of motivation for me to come to Tengchong.

Take a plane from Shanghai, transit through Kunming, and arrive at Tengchong after 8 hours. Although the time on the way is a bit long, but because of this, Tengchong was not overwhelmed by the crowd ~ a good place is always worth taking time to look forward to.

Heshun Ancient Town, don't miss the morning and evening here

Different from the small bridges and flowing water families in the ancient town of Jiangnan, the style of the ancient town of Heshun is very different from that of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Whether it is architecture, water system, history and culture, the differences are very large. Heshun is a small town in Tengchong County. It was originally inconspicuous, but since Dad went to shoot here, it has also brought this ancient town into the eyes of more people.

The name Heshun means Shihe Minshun. Because Tengchong is located in the unique geographical location of the southwest gateway of China, it became the birthplace of the earliest transnational trade in Yunnan.

Enter the ancient town of Heshun, straight streets and winding alleys, green stones, small bridges and flowing water, warm houses and quiet courtyards. Compared with most ancient towns in China, this place is more leisurely and peaceful, and the commercial atmosphere is not so strong. A small river passes through the ancient town, making the town a bit soft and lingering.

In the early morning, the golden sun is slowly shining, and the villagers in the ancient town have already started their morning exercises under the thousand-year-old tree. Strolling in the ancient town gives people a refreshing feeling.

In the ancient town, there are still historical buildings such as Ai Siqi's former residence, Cun's ancestral hall, Wanlouzi, Heshun Library, etc., which are worth savoring the cultural atmosphere here slowly.

Ai Siqi's former residence is a courtyard of masonry, catalpa and wood, combining Chinese and Western styles. There are balustrades, carved lattice fans, and small western-style balconies, which look simple and elegant.

Entering the former residence of Ai Siqi, you can first see the statue of Ai Siqi in the middle of the courtyard. There is also a plaque of "Ai Siqi Memorial Hall" hanging on the gate of the former residence, and Ai Siqi's life story is displayed on the west building and the hall. .

The entire building is exquisitely crafted, simple and elegant, and there is a stone circular arch in the front hall of the main house, which is also one of the highlights of this building.

In the ancient city of Heshun, another attraction is the Heshun Library here.

Heshun Library is one of the largest rural libraries in China. It was established in 1924 with funds raised by overseas Chinese. The building is in the traditional Chinese style, with a front garden, beautiful and elegant. The middle library of Heshun Library has a collection of more than 70,000 books, more than 10,000 ancient books and rare books, including Hu Shi, Xiong Qinglai, Liao Chengzhi, Li Shizeng and many other cultural masters inscription.

In the ancient city of Heshun, you can stroll around at will, enjoy tea and chat, and feel comfortable and comfortable. Inadvertently, you will feel that time passes so fast, which makes many people want to stay in the ancient town.

The morning and evening of the ancient town are the most beautiful time. The ancient city of Heshun at night is particularly quiet, with a bright moon hanging high in the sky, ancient trees and lake water against each other, forming a beautiful and harmonious natural picture.

The business district in the ancient town was closed very early, and the simplicity and tranquility were restored to this small town. The thousand-year-old trees in the ancient town, against the backdrop of the moonlight, have a different flavor.

There are many options for accommodation in the ancient town, most of which are homestays. We chose a Yunnan-style country homestay. There is also a hot spring in the house, which can wash away the fatigue of the journey.

Practical information:

Heshun Ancient Town is a place where it is recommended to play slowly. Only by slowing down can you experience the fun brought by the plants, trees, tiles, trees, lakes and scenery in the ancient town. So it is recommended to arrange 2-3 days.

Tickets are 80 yuan per person (including Heshun Library, Yuanlong Pavilion, Ai Siqi’s Former Residence, Wenchang Palace, Wanlouzi Folk House Museum, Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum, Heshun Alley); if there are no scenic spots, the ancient town is free.

Listen to the 93-year-old veteran telling the story of the Anti-Japanese War

Leaving Heshun Ancient Town, the next stop is the Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum

The Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum is located in the urban area of Tengchong, Yunnan. It is the first non-governmental funded construction, private collection, and anti-Japanese war-themed museum in China. Duan Shengkui is the founder of the museum. He founded the Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum in 2005. It used to be the former site of the 20th Group Army Command of the Expeditionary Army. Most of the exhibits in the museum were funded by Duan Shengkui himself. Purchased from China, India, Myanmar and other places.

Walking into the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum, the first feeling is shock. In the main hall of the exhibition hall, the three walls are covered with 1,300 steel helmets of soldiers who participated in the War of Resistance at that time, and in the center is a statue of the soldiers and civilians of the War of Resistance.

On the day of the visit, there happened to be a veteran who had participated in the Anti-Japanese War in western Yunnan. He stood in the center of the exhibition hall and told the history of the Anti-Japanese War to the tourists. The veteran of the Anti-Japanese War, surnamed Lu, is 93 years old now, but he is still tall and straight, and he speaks sonorously and powerfully, with a strong military demeanor.

The entire museum is divided into five parts: broken mountains and rivers, tragic expedition, years of occupation, swords sweeping the beacon smoke, and the sun and the moon. There are more than 6,000 cultural relics and more than 1,000 photos in the museum, many of which have very high historical value.

Among them, the various Japanese massacres of Chinese soldiers and civilians, photos, objects and descriptions displayed in the museum make people feel sad.

The heroic deeds of the Chinese Expeditionary Force against the invaders under difficult conditions are also inspiring.

Through these old photos, documentaries, historical facts, oil paintings, comic strips, etc., together with the collection of cultural relics, the history of the Anti-Japanese War in Yunnan and Burma more than 60 years ago is reproduced.

Outside the Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum is the National War Cemetery. The National War Cemetery covers an area of more than 80 mu. It was completed on July 7, 1945. It is the earliest and largest cemetery for anti-Japanese martyrs of the national army in the country.

Walking through the entire Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Museum and the National Cemetery will make every flesh-and-blood Chinese feel emotional, feeling the hardships during the Anti-Japanese War, as well as the bravery of the anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians, and at the same time, the hard-won good life now. This history cannot be forgotten.

Tickets for the Yunnan-Burma Anti-Japanese War Museum and National Cemetery are included in the ticket for Heshun Ancient Town

Atami, the water here will steam

When you come to Tengchong in autumn and winter, the hot springs here must be the most attractive. The hot spring resources in Tengchong are rich in resources and distributed throughout Tengchong.

Compared with some other artificial hot springs, the hot springs in Tengchong are unique natural hot springs endowed by nature. Different from the hot springs in other regions, the hot springs here are in the mountains, among which the Hot Sea Scenic Area is the most famous.

Entering the hot sea area, it is like stepping into the clouds and mist. The lush forests on both sides of the plank road in the scenic area, hot springs gushing out from the rocks, and the hot steam with a faint sulfur smell permeates the entire valley, as if entering a fairyland. There are various springs all over the Rehai Scenic Area, and each of them has a nice and interesting name, such as Pregnancy Well, Pearl Spring, Beauty Pool, etc. Each spring has its own name and story.

The entire hot sea area is in a valley surrounded by mountains, and hot springs flow down along the streams in the valley. Along the scenic trail, climb up the steps. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the highest point of the scenic spot, the hot sea is boiling.

There is a kind of high temperature resistant algae in the big rolling pot, which is blue, so the whole big rolling pot also shows a light blue color, like a pearl. Because the big boiling pot is a basin-shaped boiling water pool with a diameter of more than 3 meters and a depth of about 1.5 meters, it is like a big pot and has boiling water at 97°C all year round, so the name of the big rolling pot is worthy of its name.

Standing next to the big boiling pot, a strong smell of sulfur comes to your face, which belongs to the smell of natural hot springs. The melting warmth rises in the boiling pot, which is suitable for this autumn and winter.

Next to the big rolling pot, there is a small hole. Put the steamer basket filled with ingredients such as eggs, quail eggs, potatoes, peanuts, etc. on the small hole, and use the steam from the big rolling pot to cook the food in less than half an hour. At the foot of the mountain, there are strings of eggs made of hemp rope for sale, and there are also boiled eggs for sale next to the boiling pot. You can try this kind of specialties.

Now that you have come to Atami, you must go to the hot spring to take a dip. The temperature of the springs in the scenic area is very high, so don’t touch it casually. There are hot spring hotels in the Atami area, and there are many in Tengchong. There are various types of hot springs to choose from.

Practical information: Tickets for Hot Sea Scenic Area are 60 yuan for adults, excluding the cost of soaking in hot springs~

Take a hot air balloon ride and see a live volcano

Speaking of Tengchong, you will definitely think of volcanoes. Tengchong is the most typical young active volcanic geothermal area in my country and one of the four major volcanic groups in my country. So if you see a mountain in Tengchong, it may be a dormant active volcano.

To see volcanoes, you can choose Volcanic Geothermal National Geopark. In addition to museums and active volcanoes, you can also try new things by the way, take a hot air balloon, and feel the fun of flying into the sky.

The most unmissable thing in the volcano scenic spot is the hot air balloon here, but the hot air balloon is greatly affected by the weather, and the opening time of the hot air balloon project is also uncertain, so after entering the scenic spot, you first need to queue up to sit in the hot air balloon. Hot air balloons generally fly for 10 to 15 minutes, and you can overlook the volcanic landforms of the scenic spot from a high altitude

In the volcanic scenic area, there are also Xiaokong Mountain and the Volcano Museum to visit. Although Xiaokong Mountain is a dormant active volcano, it has been more than 7,000 years since the last eruption. Therefore, after climbing to the top of the mountain, it no longer has the appearance of volcanic lava as imagined. Instead, there is a giant round pit, and inside the round pit It is already lush and lush with vegetation.

Walking around the crater has different meanings. Walking clockwise means going smoothly, while walking counterclockwise means going upstream and the phoenix nirvana.

Ginkgo Village, you promise me a yellow late autumn

The Ginkgo Village in Tengchong has always been well-known. Every autumn, there will be an endless stream of people to visit here. I heard from the locals that the most beautiful season of the Ginkgo Village is in mid-November. At this time, it becomes a piece of golden yellow. When we went there, it was just early autumn, and only part of it was yellow, so it was not very spectacular, but even so, the trace of autumn yellow has already made people feel affectionate.

But the Ginkgo Village is still beautiful now. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the ginkgo trees in the village are gradually showing their golden color.

Walking into Ginkgo Village, it is lunch time, and you can just taste the unique delicacy of Ginkgo Village, Ginkgo Stewed Chicken Soup.

According to the locals, there is an ancient legend in Ginkgo Village. There used to be a big ginkgo tree in this village, which can only be surrounded by several adults. It is said that Liu Bei tied a horse to this tree during the Three Kingdoms period, so the villagers are very proud of it. There is also a ginkgo temple under the tree, so the tree is very big and the temple is in a unique location, so there is an endless stream of tourists and it is famous far and wide, so it is named Ginkgo Village.

The entire Ginkgo Village is different from other ancient towns, and the commercial atmosphere is not very strong. Walking in the village, the ginkgo trees everywhere are sometimes golden, which makes people feel comfortable.

The most suitable way to visit Ginkgo Village is to stay here for a few more days to experience the slow life here.

Lisu people on Yunfeng Mountain

Tengchong Yunfeng Mountain is a naturally formed mountain range, located in Diantan Town, northern Tengchong County, about 50 kilometers away from Tengchong County.

In Yunfeng Mountain, the green hills are rolling and rolling, and the middle peak is straight, leaning against the sky. But it is not easy to climb Yunfeng Mountain.

Entering from the scenic spot, you first need to take the cable car in the scenic spot, which takes about 20 minutes to reach the temple on the mountainside.

The next step is the more strenuous hiking. The steps of the trail here are relatively high. As you gradually climb up, each stone step will become higher and higher, which is very exhausting.

This is a veritable mountain climbing. Some stone steps need to be climbed with both hands and feet.
It takes about 45 minutes to climb from the halfway to the top of the mountain.

After arriving at the top of the mountain, the whole field of vision suddenly opened up. It is most appropriate to describe the feeling at this moment by seeing all the small mountains at a glance.

Today's dinner is arranged in a rural restaurant of the Lisu people. There is a strong Lisu ethnic style here, and the food is quite local.

After drinking and eating, they danced the Lisu dance around the fire and enjoyed the wonderful time brought by the journey.

The Dai people in Wuhe Township, passing through Gaoligong Mountain

Wuhe Township is located in the south of Tengchong City, close to the Gaoligong Mountain National Nature Reserve. Here is the living gathering place of the Dai people.

Entering the village coincides with the folk performances of the villagers. The old and the young in the village wore all kinds of ethnic costumes, singing and dancing, and the scene was very lively.

Everyone who enters the village can feel the unique enthusiasm of the Dai people. In the square of the village, the characteristic Dai folk performances began. Regardless of men, women, young or old, everyone was immersed in a joyous atmosphere.

After the performance, the villagers also gathered together to take a photo.

The folk performances in the village are wonderful, and the food here is also quite distinctive. Roast suckling pig, deep-fried grasshopper, and pineapple rice are all specialties here, and those who want to try new ones must not miss it.

In Wuhe Village, after eating and drinking, the next itinerary is the thrilling and exciting crossing of Gaoligong Mountain.

There are many hiking routes in Gaoligong Mountain, which is very suitable for tourists who like outdoor adventures. For this hike, considering physical factors, I chose a less difficult hiking route.

When hiking, the weather was not beautiful, and there was light rain, which brought some difficulties to the whole hiking trip. However, the beautiful scenery along the road can relieve the fatigue caused by hiking.

The whole hike takes about two hours, basically on flat roads, with occasional uphill and downhill, as long as you are more careful, most people can handle it.

At night, we came to the small local tent camp on Gaoligong Mountain. The whole camp is very special, all the buildings are suspended above the forest of Gaoligong Mountain, also to avoid disturbing the ecological environment of Gaoligong Mountain. Every room here is built with a special tent.

The facilities in the room are also quite complete. If you want to better appreciate the beautiful scenery of Gaoligong Mountain, this is definitely a good choice.
