Nowadays, many cities have newly built antique towns called "new-style ancient towns". There are also many in Yunnan, such as the Yi people's ancient town in Chuxiong.
During the Spring Festival this year, we traveled by car from Nanning to Mengzi. According to the strategy we made in advance, there seems to be no ancient town here, but there is a "Nisu Town", which is clearly marked on the map, and I think it is worth visiting.
After we played in Changqiaohai National Wetland Park, we drove to "Nisu Town" according to the map, but we clearly saw that this town was opposite the lake, but the road along the lakeside of Changqiaohai was too bad, so we drove After a few kilometers, I really couldn't go, so I turned back. Go back to the main road and go back to the small town of Nisu between the "two seas" (Changqiao Sea and Datun Sea).
The small town of Nisu is actually less than 10 kilometers away from the city center, so it is better to come directly. Nisu Town is a tourist area with the theme of ethnic minority customs and characteristic buildings, which is built by the local area with the opportunity of "beautiful homeland" construction.
We walked into the town from under the archway. The town is quiet and peaceful, very clean, and the environment is good. The unified architectural planning does not lose its unique ethnic style. There was no historical ancient town in this place, because the original villagers 98 % is the Yi nationality, which is one of the largest settlements of the Nisu branch of the Yi nationality in Mengzi. Therefore, the local area uses this culture as the background and the local Yi architectural culture as a platform to build such an ancient town to highlight the local characteristic culture. So this is a small town of the Yi nationality, and it is a centralized display center for inheriting and carrying forward the folk customs and culture of the Nisu branch of the Yi nationality.
Most of the houses in the town are small buildings with two to three floors, and each family is a single family. It is so comfortable to live here. There are also restaurants, shops, bars, cafes, teahouse areas, and residential inn areas. For some reason, there are no tourists and residents here on the third day of the Lunar New Year. It is too far away from the Yi people's ancient town, where there are dense crowds, and there are all kinds of small stalls and shops. However, the small town of Nisu is so quiet, it is very suitable for living.
