In the slightly cold air, I suddenly thought of the place called Xingmeng that I just left. It must still be sunny and thriving, just like the Mongolians living there.

Xingmeng Township, Tonghai County, Yunnan Province is the only Mongolian-inhabited village in Yunnan. It is called "the yurt falling on the laterite plateau". The unique national culture has been formed through the integration and communication of different cultures, and the language, clothing, singing and dancing, food, festivals, etiquette, customs, religion, etc. have unique charm.

This is a nation that came on horseback. From nomadism to war, its descendants experienced military reclamation, border expansion, net fishing, farming and other changes in the southwest corner. They survived and multiplied, washed and suffered, struggled and evolved. Today, it is not only a miracle. So simple - this is a Nirvana nation.

Naadam is originally a form of gathering unique to Mongolian ethnic areas that integrates ethnic sports competitions, cultural performances, commodity trading, and sightseeing. However, in Xingmeng Township, Naadam has a different flavor.

At the grand opening ceremony, there were unique ethnic song and dance performances, Mongolian costume performances, wrestling performances... all the programs that have the charm of the northern Mongolian people without losing the life style of the Xingmeng people are dizzying.

It's the festival, and people wear sweet smiles on their faces and put on colorful festive costumes. The three-day event kicked off after the Sansheng Festival. The Xingmeng people, who are good at singing and dancing, celebrated the harvest and praised the good life through a series of colorful activities.

Dragon dances, shrimp lanterns, colorful boats, phoenix lanterns, folk songs and dances, Xingmeng people walk around the streets, singing and dancing happily; People were hooked; night fell, the bonfire was lit, everyone held hands, danced cheerfully, stretched out their wonderful voices, and carnivaled together.

Women in beautiful national costumes, guests and friends coming from all directions, wrestling, dragon dance, shrimp lanterns, colorful boats, phoenix lanterns, folk songs and dances, bonfire parties, tug of war, folk songs, food, "three cups" of wine...

As the music played, a group of girls in costumes held up a bundle of chopsticks tied with red silk and shook lightly, making happy and joyful sounds. They jumped into the venue, youthful, childish but wonderful dance steps whirled, and the unique chopsticks dance began.

The wine cup dance was created by Xingmeng Mongolian women. I saw the two wine cups playing lightly between their fingers, making a pleasant sound and beating the rhythm nicely. In line with this beat, they danced lightly in costumes, conveying their inner joy with cheerful dance steps.

The Mongolian people from all groups in the township dressed in festive costumes and celebrated their three-year Naadam festival with joy through cultural and art performances.

The three Mongolian ancestors, Genghis Khan, Meng Ge and Kublai Khan, are at the forefront of the performance team. Followed by colorful boats, yangko, dragon lanterns, lions, elephants and other cute and witty performances, the entire Xingmeng Township presents a scene of singing and singing in peace and prosperity, and celebrating the festival with joy.

Among the ground performances, the most eye-catching thing is the dragon dance. The two "lively" "girl dragons" and "daughter-in-law dragons" dance in the sound of gongs and drums, firecrackers and cheers, sometimes ups and downs, sometimes rolling, sometimes jumping ...... The two dragons got their names because the dancers were a Mongolian handsome girl and pretty daughter-in-law respectively. Although the dragon dancers are all female compatriots, they are not inferior to the performances of male compatriots at all.

According to Mongolian rules, a song must be sung before each toast. Three glasses of wine and three songs must be drunk and sung. "To the 'Three Cups' of wine, I wish you happiness." The irresistible enthusiasm, after drinking the "Three Cups" of wine, the face is already hot, but the heart is warm.

Every village in Xingmeng Township has group meals together, and each family pays for rice and money. Tourists from other places can go to any village for dinner for 10 yuan to buy a ticket. People in every village are very united, and everyone feels that this is their own family's business and there is no shame in it.

Their longing for the prairie, their nostalgia for the prairie, and their sustenance for Inner Mongolia, what they insist on is the homesickness that they have not discarded for hundreds of years. The Xingmeng Mongolians like "Father's Grassland and Mother's River" very much. I know that when they sing this song, they turn and turn a thousand times, and their hearts are broken.
