I was sitting in my room, flipping through your photos, and it reminded me of Dali again

The sun is always so bright, the sky is so blue, the evergreen Cangshan
I love the blue Erhai Lake, scattered with white sails, my heart beats slowly with the wind
Under the golden sunset, in the green jelly grass, your smile is so warm
—— "Warmth" Xu Wei

The fifth time I came to Dali, I realized that Dali is far more than Dali

After coming to Dali for the fifth time, I was thinking why I always missed it before.

In my impression, when I mention my great ideals, I only think of the small place around the Erhai Lake. In the past, my obsession with coming to Dali was to see the clouds and clouds at the Erhai Lake, but I missed the places like Shaxi and Weishan, which are far away from the Erhai Lake. "Utopia", I didn't turn my footsteps to the north or south until I played all over the Erhai Lake, plus my favorite Xizhou and the iconic Dali ancient city, these four ancient cities and towns are the treasures of Dali and the world is worth it!

When I was young, Dali, Yunnan was a dream for many people. I had already fallen into a dream, and I didn't want to wake up, so I listened to folk songs to accompany me.

"One Dali Ancient City" - Find a city by the Erhai Sea

"If you can't find someone you like, why not find a city by the Erhai Sea."
When I first heard this sentence, I was heartbroken.

This is the fifth time I have come to the ancient city of Dali, and the feeling has not changed. I still feel very comfortable here, maybe because of the bright sunshine of Dali, maybe because of the light wind and clouds of Dali.

Although it is a relatively popular scenic spot, the literary and artistic atmosphere here is unique to the ancient city. Within the high walls on all sides, you can go shopping in a daze, enjoy flowers and wine, or just stop somewhere and listen to music.

You are no longer a passing visitor.

Those handicraft shops, food stalls, bars or humble shops scattered in the corners of the ancient city are all a sight to behold.

At the foot of Cangshan Mountain, facing Erhai Lake, spring flowers bloom.

It doesn't take long for you to find the cherry blossoms blooming beside the street. Walking on the uneven stone slabs, your heart will become lighter.

If you are not satisfied with life, why not go all the way west to Dali.

Millennium Ancient Building | Wuhua Building

When you mention the ancient city of Dali, what is the first building that comes to your mind?

As long as you walk on the main street of the ancient city, you can see this conspicuous attic. It is the landmark building of the ancient city of Dali and even Dali~

The buildings in the ancient city of Dali are all green tile roofs, which look very simple.

In the center of the ancient city that has experienced more than 1,200 years of vicissitudes, a grand and exquisite building surrounded by four pavilions and clear streams is the famous Wuhua Building in the history of Nanzhao and Dali.

It is located in the middle section of Fuxing Road and is one of the landmark buildings in the ancient city of Dali. It is beautiful and magnificent.

In ancient times, Wuhua Building was a place for official gatherings and banquets for distinguished guests. It was five floors high and could accommodate ten thousand people standing.

However, in history, Wuhua Building was burned several times and rebuilt several times, going through thousands of years of vicissitudes. The current Wuhua Building was rebuilt in 1998. It is a four-story building with a height of more than 20 meters. The lower floor is a pedestal, and the upper three floors are buildings.

Wuhua Building is one of the more magnificent buildings in the ancient city. You can climb up the building to overlook Cangshan Mountain and the ancient city.

Especially at night when the lights are on, the Wuhua Building is very beautiful.

When Bai Architecture Meets Jesus | Catholic Church

I believe that 90% of people who have been to the ancient city of Dali do not know that there is a church hidden in the ancient city, and it is also the most worthwhile religious building in the ancient city.

When the Bai people's houses met Jesus, the ancient city of Dali seemed to have a layer of mystery.

Hidden in the alleys of Renmin Road is the most distinctive building in the ancient city of Dali - the Catholic Church.

If you are tired of the people coming and going in the ancient city, why not go with me to this rare and quiet place, which stands quietly in the crisscross streets of the ancient city.

If it weren't for the words "Catholic Church" on it, you wouldn't even know there was a Catholic Church here.

It is not the traditional European-style Catholic church you imagined. Although it was a masterpiece of European missionaries in the 20th century, it coincided with the opportunity of "Sinicization" and the missionaries built it into a "Chinese style", to be precise, it is the Bai nationality. style.

This church with a distinctive Bai ethnic style is called Shengsantang. The Chinese-style corners are raised high, like a pair of spread wings. Under the flying eaves are exquisite stone carvings and colorful paintings, which are very beautiful.

The vermilion columns and red gates are standard Chinese red, and the layers of bucket arches above the door can be called living fossils of ancient Chinese architecture. The couplets on the door include both Catholic and antithetical traditional Chinese couplets, which blend Chinese and Western cultures and complement each other.

This is the place where the French should come most, because their ancestors brought Catholicism into Yunnan more than a hundred years ago, and it was the French who created the Holy Trinity Church, which combines Chinese and Western styles.

More than a hundred years later, French tourists are admiring in front of this Chinese-style Catholic church. Dali's diverse and inclusive culture seems to have not changed, just like this wonderful church.

Warm a city with a bookstore | Dafang Bookstore

This is a bookstore I stumbled across while strolling through the ancient city after dinner. I didn’t know there was such a big bookstore in the ancient city before I came here.

When I went in, I found that the inside was very spacious, and it looked like a small bookstore from the outside.

Dafang Bookstore was formerly known as Zhonghua Bookstore, which was built in 1993 and officially established in 2014. "Dafang" comes from "Zhuangzi Qiushui" "I always laugh at Dafang's family", originally referring to a person who understands the truth, and later refers to a well-informed or knowledgeable insider.

There are many exquisite small objects and small stationery inside, and the decoration is very warm, and it feels warm when you walk in here.

I like to enjoy the slow time in Dali, I like the warmth of coffee in my hand, and I like the quietness of being alone.

The central area of the bookstore is the most beautiful, especially the stairs from the first floor to the second floor. You must check in here. Several iconic characters on the second floor, "Here is Dali", make people feel the enthusiasm from Dali.

The scent of books in the language of trees and flowers, I am waiting for you in Dali, Dafang is waiting for you in Dali.

Meet the Academy in the depths of the alley | Wutong Academy

In addition to the Dafang bookstore, there is another very small and quiet bookstore hidden in the ancient city, which is very low-key.

There is a signboard erected on the side of the road, and you can reach it by walking 20 to 30 meters into the alley at the corner.

This alley is very quiet, few tourists will go here, and it feels a little like Xizhou.

Walking in the door, there is a small courtyard inside. There is a drink shop on the first floor. I took a glass of lemon and went to the study. When I went, I was surprised to find that there was no one inside. The whole house seemed to be contracted by me.

There are poetic windows, wooden desks, bright lights, and the atmosphere is quite good.

Even if you stop here halfway, it's good to chat while drinking a drink. The most important thing is that there are few people, so you can enjoy the quiet here alone.

I only know the wind, the flowers, the snow and the moon, but I don’t know the name of the literature | Confucian Temple

In the ancient city of Dali, walk along Fuxing Road, the main road, and you will see a building with flying eaves and brackets, which is the Dali Confucian Temple.

Although the Confucian Temple is located in the bustling location of the ancient city, there are not many tourists. It is a good place to get quiet, especially in the morning, where it is very clean and cool, and you can enjoy a moment of tranquility.

Dali Confucian Temple sits west to east, and the overall central axis is symmetrical. It is a progressive layout of courtyards and terraces. The architectural style is mainly antique wooden structures, reflecting the architectural style of the Bai nationality in Dali.

Dali Confucian Temple is the temple of the first teacher with the dual identities of the prefecture and county in Dali in ancient times, and it is also the landmark building of the ancient city of Dali.

When you walk into the gate, you can see that this bridge is called the "Number One Scholar Bridge". It is said that in ancient times, only those who won the first prize in the exam can pass through this bridge, and others can only bypass it on both sides. The pool under the Zhuangyuan Bridge is called "Panchi". In ancient times, there was a saying to revitalize studies in front of the school.

The Confucian Temple is also called the Confucian Temple. What we see today is the restored one. The Chinese traditional culture based on it has a unique and rich connotation, which has had a profound impact on Dali. It is the historical witness of Dali's "literary name".

Strolling in every corner, it exudes an ancient fragrance.

There are many wishing cards in front of the main hall. Every year, many parents of students come here to make wishes for their children.

Walking in the Confucian Temple, sporadic passers-by, traces of the past are left on the quaint walls, silently telling the glory of the past.

It is both the handsome mansion and a miniature version of the Forbidden City | Dali Museum

99% of people don't know that the Dali City Museum is in the ancient city of Dali!

This place was discovered by accident when passing by. The site of the museum was formerly the location of Admiral Yamen in Yunnan, Commander-in-Chief Du Wenxiu's Mansion, the headquarters of the Seventh Detachment Headquarters in Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou, and the office of the Western Yunnan Working Committee in the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, Dali is not directly written on the lintel. City Museum.

Even if it is not peak season and weekends, there are many people who come to the museum. The well-arranged houses and rich vegetation are like walking into a large courtyard.

Relying on the advantages of the core of the ancient city, the Dali City Museum, while maintaining the original architectural features of the Qing Dynasty, integrates a wealth of exhibitions and ancient gardens into one, like a miniature version of the Forbidden City.

The museum covers precious cultural relics from the Neolithic Age to modern times in the Dali area. There are nearly 10,000 pieces of remains. "Historical Evolution Exhibition" and "Du Wenxiu Uprising Photo Exhibition" six fixed exhibition halls, together with the expanded exhibition area of the forest of steles, make it a unique physical database for the study of Dali's history and culture.

The vermilion walls in the museum make people feel very simple, also known as "Forbidden City Red", especially when the sun shines in, the shadows of the trees dance, full of poetry.

It is different from the solemnity of other museums, and has a garden-style design, which can be said to be very characteristic of Dali.

Dali Ancient City Cuisine

Every time I come to Dali, I can't help but go to the ancient city to search for delicious food, and I specially sorted it out for everyone!

① Recommended snacks

The milk fan is a fan-shaped dairy product mainly produced in Dali, and it is also a specialty of Dali. It is a thin slice with less water, milky white and milky yellow, roughly like a water chestnut-shaped bamboo fan, with claws at both ends.

It can be eaten raw, fried, grilled, or cold. In the Eighteen Monsters of Yunnan, it is said: "Fried and eaten with milk", which is actually a milk fan. The picture is a roasted milk fan bought on the street~

Yunlong roll noodles is a famous snack in Dali Yunlong. I bought it on Fuxing Road. The roll noodles are glutinous and super Q-bomb. Ten yuan a piece is not expensive. ~

Yangbi Roll Noodles is a special snack of Dali Yangbi. The appearance is somewhat similar to rice rolls. It is made of high-quality rice.

Flower cake is the most representative delicacy in Yunnan. It is a kind of shortbread made with edible roses unique to Yunnan. Many people will buy flower cakes to take back when they travel to Yunnan. My mother likes it very much.

②Restaurant recommendation

I only recommend one of my favorite gourmet restaurants in the ancient city. It is an ancient style restaurant. You can eat a lot of Yunnan specialties here. I think it is very good regardless of the environment or the taste. It has already been used for the second time!

It is in a small alley next to Renmin Road. When I returned to the ancient city after playing for a day and the lights were on, I passed by and found this small shop.

The restaurant is very old-fashioned. The facade decorated with cherry blossoms, the recipes are closely played, the wooden pavilions, the paper lanterns, the zither, the gongs and drums.

There are two floors in this house. It feels small on the outside. When you enter, you find that the inside is very large and very spacious. There is a big wine tank at the door on the first floor, and you can smell the aroma of wine when you enter the door.

Unexpectedly, the dishes in this restaurant are as amazing as the environment of the restaurant, and the fairy air is floating~

The shape of the emerald rouge snowflake fish is perfect, its signature, the portion is very large, the fish is tender and smooth, it looks very appetizing, and there are pebbles in it~

Dali Baikuai spicy chicken is not as heavy as Sichuan and Chongqing, but the spiciness is moderate, suitable for everyone's taste.

A must-order for the wind, flowers, snow and moon! ! ! This name is too Yunnan. Of course, when you come to Dali, you have to have a few drinks at night. This is its home-made wine. There are two flavors, one is peach blossom wine, and the other is plum wine. It is just right to drink until you are slightly drunk

Blow up the special Pao Ruda, order it and you’re done. Friends love it so much, come to me if it’s not delicious?

When we left, the family gave each of us a homemade hand-painted map of the ancient city of Dali. I like it very much. I still keep this map.

"II·Xizhou Ancient Town" - I like Xizhou

I like Fang Qi's praise of Xizhou:
"How can I tell you, what is Dali
Use the sound of wind blowing wheat waves in Xizhou to explain...
Can you see it? "

When it comes to Dali, apart from the Erhai Lake, the first thing I think of is not the ancient city of Dali, but the ancient town of Xizhou.

Every time I come to Dali, I will never miss Xizhou, and I feel that I will never get tired of it. It is not as lively as the ancient city of Dali, and it is more of a subtle and introverted beauty.

Xizhou yellow wall wheat field, the years are quiet and good | Xilin Garden

The yellow wall of Xilinyuan is really lovely. Every time I pass by, I will take a few photos. Under the old gray tiles, the stretching outer wall is painted orange-yellow, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds and endless rice fields, just like a natural one. An ink Danqing painting.

It is very interesting to change the poses here. If you take a group photo with several people, it is very interesting to pose funny poses together~

It is also good to record a small video here. Many photographers who come to Dali to shoot videos will also choose to take pictures here.

This is Xizhou in spring. There are rapeseed flowers outside the wall, and rice fields in autumn.

Meet You Around the Corner | Round Corner Building

The corner building can be said to be a must-see place in Xizhou, and it is also a landmark building in Xizhou. It is located at No. 119, Shiping Street, Xizhou Ancient Town, Dali. It was originally the old house of Yang Ruxuan, a villager in Beicun Village, Xizhou City. Among the residential buildings in Xizhou Ancient Town, it is a historical building with the most unique structure and shape.

The location of the corner building facing the street on both sides, the concept of the foreign businessman's house, the design of combining Chinese and Western styles, and the choice of a circular appearance have inadvertently left a miraculous building for Xizhou Ancient Town, which has shaped the tourism of Xizhou Ancient Town today. A very popular online celebrity check-in point.

If you want to take pictures, it is recommended to go before ten o'clock in the morning. There are no tourists. It was noon when I went, and the queue for taking pictures has already begun~

Blue and white romance, come here for a daze | Lanxu tie-dye shop

I have been to Xizhou several times before I come here to check in. I highly recommend this tie-dye shop in the ancient town of Xizhou. Many people will come to Xizhou just to come to this place.

It is in an inconspicuous alley in Xizhou, just go to the right hand side at the end.

You can visit here for free without extra charge. The owner of the store is very nice and welcomes everyone to sit and sit.

Here you can learn tie-dye, have a drink, or just take pictures and sit around, but it's OK!

The tie-dye shop has two floors, with a small yard and a small balcony, an experience area based on blue tie-dye on the first floor, and a small field overlooking Xizhou on the second floor.

Glass windows, circular arches, and small rooftops are all good spots for taking pictures. I suggest that if you want to go, go in the morning, and there will be more people in the afternoon.

Hayao Miyazaki's Wheat Fields Really Existed | Keli Zhuang

Have you ever seen the shape of the wind and heard the sound of the wind blowing the wheat waves?

The comic-like scene of the wind blowing the wheat waves really exists in Xizhou! ! !

This wheat field is located on the roadside of "Ke Li Zhuang" near the ancient town of Xizhou. Navigate to "Ke Li Zhuang" and walk along the Dali Line. It is just beside the road~

There is a charge for taking pictures here, but it is not expensive at 10 yuan/person. There is no time limit and you can take pictures until you are tired!

The girl next to me is very cute in her outfits. When you come here to take pictures, remember to bring some props, otherwise you will not be able to take a few pictures like me, such as easels, kites, butterfly nets and so on.

If you are here to take pictures of wheat fields, it is best to go before April. The feeling of wheat swaying in the wind will only feel dreamy if you see it with your own eyes~

But first of all, it is stated that this piece of wheat was originally upside down, and it is very good to shoot lying down in the wheat field, but it is still recommended that you try not to step on the wheat.

If you make a mistake, then next spring, make an appointment to come here~

Xizhou Cuisine

There are basically Dali ancient cities in Xizhou. In addition to roasted milk fans, bait blocks, etc., the most worth mentioning is Xizhou Baba!

The taste is sweet and salty. Both upper and lower layers of charcoal fire are used when making. The upper layer of charcoal fire is strong fire, and the lower layer of charcoal fire is slow fire. Brush lard on the finished dough and bake it in a pan. Brush the oil several times during the baking process and bake until fragrant. crisp.

"China on the Bite of the Tongue" once came to Xizhou to shoot, and you must try Xizhou Baba when you come to Xizhou~

In the past, Xizhou Baba was very cheap, but with the development of tourism, the price has also risen.

In addition, I would like to recommend a few shops that I think are good, Guzidi Garden Restaurant, Ah Ma Ying Pea Flour, Jijisi Cafe, you will definitely like it~

"Three. Ancient City of Weishan Mountain" - the ancient capital of Nanzhao with fireworks on earth

Because of the existence of the ancient city of Dali, this ancient city of Weishan, which is located hundreds of miles away, has become a lost place and a rare pure land of daze in Yunnan.

Time has faded away the prosperity of the ancient city, but it has retained the original appearance that is rare in the world.

When I set foot in this ancient city with a history of more than 600 years, I will regret that I have come to Yunnan many times and discovered this small treasure town so late. No contest temperament, I am afraid that more and more tourists will become the ancient city of Dali in the future, losing its original taste.

When I took a video and posted it on the Internet, some people said don’t recommend it and there will be no place to be in a daze. Sometimes this kind of psychology is quite contradictory, but even if I don’t share it, other people will share it, and I can’t protect it. It won’t be commercialized, why not let me show its most beautiful appearance in my mind, and let the world know that the current Yunnan can still be the former Yunnan.

Except for the fireworks in the world and the vast mountains and rivers, there is nothing else.

Singing birds and fragrant flowers in Mengyang | Mengyang Park

The first stop in Weishan is Mengyang Park. In fact, this is not in our plan. It was only later that I learned that this place is called Mengyang Park.

Because the parking lot is next to Mengyang Park, so I came here by mistake. (You don’t need to look at the map when you come to Weishan, just wander around, maybe there will be surprises)

This is the favorite place for locals to come to. They like to call Mengyang Park the "Big Park". Well the only park in the area.

It is not a scenic spot, but it is full of life. Women watering flowers, elderly people exercising, children running... In addition to the pleasant climate and the fragrance of birds and flowers, it is the first time that the atmosphere of the park can be so good.

When you come here, you will find that the trees here are full of birdcages. There are a lot of bird breeders in the ancient city of Weishan. Walking the birds in the morning is something they must do every day. It is as common as we have to eat every day. This has been integrated into the Their lives.

There is never a shortage of bird calls here, and you can really be woken up by them in the mornings here. 】

Weishan Library is also in Mengyang Park, and the environment of the park should be an ideal place for reading.

Mengyang Park has a history of nearly a hundred years. In the park, there are well-preserved ancient buildings such as Yanta Square, Chongsheng Temple, Zunjing Pavilion, Minglun Hall, etc., as well as many famous and ancient trees. The park, which is also its charm.

You will see the red-walled building in the park. It is the "Nanzhao Chess Academy", which was originally the "Qinqi Club". , There are many chess masters hidden in Weishan.

The Chess Academy still preserves the historical structure well, and the environment is quiet. When there are no chess games or competitions, it is also a tea house with prosperous business.

Famous and ancient trees, pavilions, ponds and promenades, green plants and flowers, you will forget your troubles and enjoy the moment of tranquility, making tea, and soaking in the park.

The majestic ancient capital of Nanzhao | Nanzhao Museum

When you come to the ancient city of Weishan, you must visit the Nanzhao Museum! If you want to uncover the mysterious ancient country of Nanzhao, you might as well start here, which is very suitable as the first stop of Weishan travel.

Nanzhao Museum is located in Baoguo Street, the ancient city of Weishan. It was completed in 2015 and opened the next year. It is an art palace integrating modern museum display and ancient building display.

The first building you see when you enter the gate is the preface hall of the museum. Just like a book has a preface, the preface hall highly summarizes the content of the exhibition and explains the historical background of the exhibition, which is equivalent to an overview of the entire exhibition hall.

The "Nanzhao Picture Biography" painted on the dome-shaped ceiling on the top of the preface hall is very eye-catching. It records the detailed history of Nanzhao and is also the earliest painting art work preserved in Yunnan.

On the ground in the hall, there are more than 100 years of history of Nanzhao from its founding to its disappearance.

There are many cultural relics exhibition halls next to the preface hall, swords, pottery pots, jewelry, etc., are all relics of the civilization of the early Weishan people. Although the collections are not many, they are the essence of Nanzhao culture.

Regarding the history of Nanzhao, there are many answers hidden here.

During the Tang Dynasty, there were many small countries along the Erhai Lake in Yunnan, and they did not serve each other.

Among these many small countries, the Mengxuan Zhao, Yuexi Zhao, Langqiong Zhao, Binyu Zhao, Shi Lang Zhao, and Mengshe Zhao are the most powerful, and they are called the "Six Zhaos" in history. Among them, Mengxi Zhao is located in the area from the northern part of today's Weishan County to Yangbi County, Binyi Zhao is located in the area of now Dengchuan County, Langqiong Zhao is located in the area of now Eryuan County, and Shi Langzhao is located in the area of Qingsuo Township in Eryuan. The imperial edict is located in the present-day Binchuan area, and the Mengshe imperial edict is located in the present-day Weishan County area.

Although these six small countries are governed independently, the Mengshe Zhao is undoubtedly the most powerful among them. Because it is located at the southernmost point of the Six Zhao, it is also called "Nanzhao".

With the support of the Tang Dynasty, King Piluoge of Nanzhao unified the six imperial edicts, moved his capital to Taihe City, and started the real Nanzhao Kingdom. ,

Compared with the collections displayed in the museum, the architectural beauty of the museum is more fascinating, retaining the imprint of the past.

Dengjue Temple, Sun Palace, Lingong Temple, Zhaozhong Temple, and the Twin Pagodas of Dengjue Temple are important components of the Nanzhao Museum. The construction of the Sun Palace is the most magnificent, simple and heavy.

The Taiyang Palace was built in the 16th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1418). It was built for the magistrate of Menghua and the monks. It was repaired in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is an important physical example of structural architecture and has extremely high cultural relic value.

There are two doors on both sides of the inside:

Baishou picture partition door:
There are six partition doors (two are missing), each door is 54 cm wide and 245 cm high. The grids of the first five doors are all themed with eighteen seal-cut "shou" characters, and the last one is composed of ten "shou" characters and the production year "Yihai Mid-Autumn Festival Shanghuan Jidan", finally forming a complete hall. The skirt board of the partition door of "Hundred Shoutu" is decorated with auspicious carving patterns such as "Magpie Climbing Plum Blossom", "Phoenix Wearing Peony" and "Cormorant Lotus".
The partition door of this hall reflects the foresight and reality of the master's philosophy of health preservation. "Bai Shou Tu" is displayed in the form of a partition door in the form of seal cutting and carving, which is very rare, forming a landscape that promotes the excellent traditional seal cutting art and promotes the essence of ancient Chinese health preservation culture theory. It is a hall that combines elegance and seal cutting art. , an ingenious traditional cultural seal cutting art treasure.

The partition door of Minglun Hall:
This is a complete and exquisite woodcarving masterpiece of the Ming Dynasty, with six leaves in total, each 294 centimeters high and 70 centimeters wide, divided into five carving sections from top to bottom. In the main picture, the four leaves on both sides are engraved with the scenery of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter respectively, and the two in the middle are engraved with landscapes and castle temple towers; the lower three sills are all engraved with flower patterns. The carving technique is a combination of relief and openwork, with brilliant colors, distinct layers and well-proportioned arrangements, towering mountains and majestic waterfalls, meandering rivers and mountain village houses shaded by green trees, clouds and mist, small bridges and flowing water, Flowers bloom in four seasons, and the scenery of the four seasons is vividly evolved, filled with the atmosphere of peace and vitality.

The twin towers of Dengjue Temple are located directly south of the Sun Palace. I think they are super beautiful. The golden sunlight makes the twin towers more mysterious and majestic. The wind chimes hanging on the towers are full of Zen sounds, which is very enjoyable.

After all the vicissitudes, Wanren Palace Wall | Confucian Temple

The ancient city of Dali has the Confucian Temple in the ancient city of Dali, and the ancient city of Weishan also has the Confucian Temple in the ancient city of Weishan.

Weishan Confucian Temple is separated by a wall from Mengyang Park in the ancient city. There are Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Yantafang, Chongsheng Temple, Minglun Hall, Zunjing Pavilion, etc. inside. It is not only a place where ancient officials made pilgrimage to Confucius, but also a place where scholars in the imperial examination era obtained fame and fame.

There is a Lantern Street and Paper Umbrella Street on the street directly outside the Confucian Temple, which looks very beautiful under the sunlight, as if welcoming visitors to the Confucian Temple.

The Confucian Temple is large in scale, covering an area of about 10,000 square meters. Sitting north to south, there is a screen wall in front, and a marble plaque of "Wanren Palace Wall" is inlaid on it.

"Wanren palace wall" comes from "The Analects of Confucius? Zi Zhang": "The master's wall is as many as 10000 meters, and he can't enter through the door. He can't see the beauty of the ancestral temple. The wealth of hundreds of officials may be too few to get the door." Later generations built the "Wanren Palace Wall" in front of the Confucian Temple to symbolize Confucius' profound knowledge, lofty virtues, and profound thoughts, which are beyond the reach of others.

After bypassing the "Wanren Palace Wall", you can see this small arch bridge and small pool.

According to the ancient system, the study of the son of heaven is a round pool, called Piyong; the study of princes is a semicircle, called Panchi or Banbichi.

The Banchi bridge is also known as the "Number One Scholar Bridge". It is said that in ancient times, only those who won the number one scholar could pass through this bridge, and others could only bypass it on both sides.

Continue to walk towards the central axis of the Confucian Temple, and you can see this "Lingxing Gate".

It is an important sacrificial building in ancient times. It was first seen in historical records that Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty ordered to worship the spirit star. Later, on the occasion of offering sacrifices to heaven, the spirit star was sacrificed first. star. In the Song Dynasty, the Lingxing gate was built on the outer wall of the platform for offering sacrifices to heaven. Because it is shaped like a window lattice, "Ling" was changed to "Ling".

On the left of Lingxing Gate is Piyi Road, and on the right is Li Gate.

After Lingxing Gate is Dacheng Gate, also known as Yi Gate and Ji Gate. Yimen means that those who enter this gate should be neatly dressed and have a dignified appearance to show their respect for Confucius.

The halberd gate is used to show majesty, and at the same time, it can also show a higher standard, which is used to represent the gate of a noble home. "Dacheng" is Mencius' evaluation of Confucius.

It was very quiet inside, and there were no tourists when I went, making you want to sit on the steps and enjoy the long time.

Every plant and every tree, every brick and every tile, every gate and fence, every flower and every world.

Extending in all directions, high-rise buildings in the city | Xinggong Building

The Star Arch Building is a landmark building in the ancient city of Weishan. It is not one of my favorite buildings in the ancient city of Weishan, and it is also a must-see place! ! !

When I first saw it, I felt familiar, a bit like the "Wuhua Building" in the ancient city of Dali, but it has a more historical sense than it.

The Xinggong Building is located in the middle of the ancient city of Weishan. It was built in the 23rd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1390), rebuilt in the 50th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1711), and destroyed in the 7th year of Xianfeng (1857). Ma Guozhong rebuilt.

The star arch building is 11 meters high and consists of two parts: a wooden structure tower and a masonry structure base. The building is in the pavilion style, which is a combination of lifting beams and piercing buckets, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain. There are corridors around the bottom of the building, and brackets are decorated inside and outside.

You can see the panoramic view of Weishan Mountain when you climb up to the Star Arch Tower.

Four plaques hang on the four sides of the building, "Ruimi Huafeng", "Weixia Embracing the Crane", "Yuhuan Guapu" and "Cangying Panlong", facing the four streets. In the past, when the government issued any new decree, it would post a notice here to inform the people.

There is nothing but vast mountains and rivers and fireworks in the world.

Kuixiong Liuzhao, thousands of miles to the sky | Gongchen Tower

From the Xinggong Tower, you can see the Gongchen Tower not far away, which is very spectacular.

Gongchen Tower was originally the north gate tower of the Acropolis of Menghua. It was built in the 23rd year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1390).

Gongchen Tower is built on a brick city wall with a length of 47.1 meters, a width of 26.6 meters, and a height of 8.1 meters. You can see the lights of thousands of houses in the city from the pavilion.

Under the eaves of the south side of Gongchen Tower, a large plaque of "Kuixiong Liuzhao" was hung, which was written by Kang You, Tongzhi of Menghua, in the thirty-sixth year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1771);
Hanging under the eaves on the north side is a huge plaque of "Thousands of miles looking up to the sky", which was written by Huang Dahe, Tongzhi of Menghua in the 50th year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1785);
The calligraphy on the two plaques is majestic, thick and powerful, making Gongchen Tower and even the entire ancient city of Weishan more attractive.

Gongchen Tower and Xinggong Tower dominate the north and south of the ancient city, and are the most dazzling "double stars" in Weishan.

Weishan Cuisine

"Play in Dali, eat in Weishan", this is absolutely true.

For example, I have featured a noodle in "Bite of the Tongue", and I recommend Zhu Ji Yinian and Su Laosanjia Yigu Noodles, which are basically eaten by locals, and they will not be sold after noon;
Guojiang bait is also very distinctive, but the locals like to eat raked meat bait, recommend Pharaoh Guojiang bait;
There is also a traditional Weishan old popsicle. You must also have one. Walking on the street eating popsicles while visiting the ancient city, that is a leisurely way.

In addition, there are roll noodles, grilled bait cubes, fried stinky tofu, etc., which are cheap and delicious. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is a low-key gourmet city.

"Four Shaxi Ancient Town" - this is the ideal life

This is a place that I have wanted to go many times but have been delayed for various reasons, and this time I did not miss it again.

The ideal of life is for an ideal life, and this paradise located in Dali and Lijiang can be realized. It is Shaxi, one of my favorite ancient towns at present.

There is no chance to return to Dali Lijiang 20 years ago, but now Shaxi still gives you a chance to cross.

Although the ancient town is small, it is small and exquisite. The "small bridge and flowing water family" in the south of the Yangtze River will have another feeling in this land in the southwest, simple and honest, authentic.

How can I describe the feeling it gave me, using "shock" to describe "tranquility"? Although it sounds weird, it is indeed that kind of feeling, isolated from the world, without any impurities.

There is the smell of earthen walls and soil in the air, and the sound of footsteps and horseshoes can be clearly heard, which makes people love and never forget.

If you have plenty of time to come to Yunnan, then you must go to this place!

?The hidden town of Shaxi, a paradise of idyllic beauty, came from the ancient tea-horse road | Yujin Bridge

In ancient times, Shaxi was an important station on the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, and passing through Shaxi must pass through this bridge, which is Yujin Bridge.

Yujin Bridge was originally an iron cable bridge. "Iron cable locks the river" is one of the four scenic spots in Shaxi. ) began to raise funds to build until the twenty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1935) was completed.

The word "Yujin" comes from the fifty-seventh year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1792). Shi Lifei wrote a couplet on the bridge; . "

From the "Introduction to the Construction of Yujin Bridge" written by Zhao Fan, a famous scholar of the Bai nationality, and Yang Yiqian, the commander of the Chu master's area, which exists at the head of the bridge, we can see that Yujin Bridge played an important role in the traffic position of the Ancient Tea Horse Road at that time.

There is a river outside the ancient town of Shaxi, called Heihui River. The width of this river is more than 20 meters, and the river flows around Shaxi.

In ancient times, the two sides of this river, also the two sides of Yujin Bridge, were the most ideal resting places for caravan passers-by. Many passers-by and pack horses watched the rising sun and moon here.

Yujin Bridge is also an ideal sketching place for art students and art practitioners, and people come here to paint every day.

With the decline of the ancient tea-horse road, this place was gradually forgotten, but because of being forgotten, it also better preserved the appearance of the tea-horse town back then.

The Gate Through Time | Nanzhai Gate

The Nanzhai Gate is the most distinctive gate in the ancient town of Shaxi in my opinion. The first time I saw it, it gave me the illusion that there would be another world hidden on the other side of it.

On this side of the door is a relatively open space, and looking in through the door is a deep alley, which makes people curious.

In the past, the ancient Beizhai Gate had been destroyed by wind, frost and war, leaving only Beiguzong Lane leading to Beizhai Gate, and Nanzhai Gate leading to various salt wells in the south of Shaxi.

Walking towards Nanzhaimen, the first thing you step into is a bluestone alley. This alley is Nanguzong Alley, which is antique and has many open shops.

Shaxi Food

For food, Shaxi is much less than Weishan, and local snacks are even less pitiful. You can try the sweet wine here.

The "Siyue Kitchen" next to the Nanzhai Gate is quite good and can be recommended. The most famous restaurant here is "Chujian Shaxi Private Kitchen", but many friends recommend it. As for the afternoon tea, I think it is more worthwhile, because it is suitable for During the dazed time in Shaxi, "Cosmic Bread", "Match Coffee", "Half Mountain Coffee", "Raven Cafe", and "Yezi's Shop" are all worth checking in~
