Lijiang is a city that cannot stop its hustle and bustle, surrounded by the sound of the tide. The different accents of tourists from all over the world, the shouts of selling things, the noise from the bar, and the sound of melting snow on the snowy mountains in the distance... When you hear all these, you will have a feeling that you You may think that these voices are memories of previous lives that remain in your brain.


There is a secret viewing platform in the ancient city of Lijiang, which is actually not a secret, but there are fewer tourists. The first time I came here was brought me by the owner of an inn I stayed in for 15 years. He said that the ancient city of Lijiang has changed, but this viewing platform has not changed much. The dirt road is also paved with bluestone slabs, which looks much neater, but it is less smokey than before.

I have been to Lijiang several times, and I really don't have much interest in the ancient city anymore. I just want to find a small shop to soak up the sun, drink tea, and chat with friends. Compared with the traces left by the tourists who come and go and tourism development, for Songzanlin Monastery, I am more willing to listen to the "Tibetan Buddhism" in the mouth of the tour guide.


In the past few years, I have visited many Tibetan Buddhist temples one after another, but this is the first time for me to visit a Tibetan Buddhist temple in the Tibetan area of ​​Yunnan. Songzanlin Temple is still quite famous in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, but now it has a strong commercial atmosphere, and it is almost impossible to see groups of lamas wearing red robes. of the main hall.


Arriving at the gate of the temple by sightseeing car, I saw the dry Ramyangcuo Lake at a glance, and I was a little disappointed in an instant: "There is no water!"

A section of stone steps before going to the main hall, here seems to have a feeling of returning to the plateau.

In fact, the best shooting spot is on the mountain opposite Songzanlin Temple, but my time is limited, so I had to give up.

The appearance of the temples in the Diqing Tibetan area is not very different from the temples in Tibet, but the feeling is completely different. This feeling can only be felt but cannot be described.

It is forbidden to take pictures in the hall, so there are no photos. It is very different from the Buddha statues and decorations in the mainland temples. In addition, the Buddha statues in almost every hall are arranged in a circle, and you can walk quietly clockwise. If you have faith, you can donate butter lamps to pray for blessings. This model is the same as that in the mainland.

My favorite is the hall in the middle. Open the curtain and walk in. There is no Buddha statue inside. There is a staircase on the left and right sides. According to the clockwise principle, we go up from the stairs on the left, climb to the third floor, and pass through the curved. The aisle came out of a door, and the line of sight instantly became clear. It turned out that this place could overlook the scenery.

The sunshine behind the dark clouds illuminates the openness of the distant mountains, and the Songzanlin Temple under the light and shadow is more beautiful and solemn. Flocks of crows circled and screamed on the roof, becoming a unique landscape of Songzanlin Monastery.

Today's Songzanlin Temple seems to be a must-see attraction, and the temple also holds philosophy classes.

The lamas of the temple now live in the newly built new building behind the temple, and the original monk's house has long been turned into a place for tourists to visit. In addition to the two main halls in the front row, there are several secluded Kangshen in the back. Most of the tourists are concentrated in the front, but few people come to the back ones. The apprehension at the beginning turned into great satisfaction at the moment, and the expectations gradually rose.
