The impression of Tianjin is always looming

It seems to be very low key although people know its name but don't remember or know "its character"

Only when you come to Tianjin Pancake Fruit Tianjin Eye Crosstalk...

You will know that there are so many stories and things about Tianjin

Even though there are countless concessions, each building has become a piece of history

A museum hidden in a hotel: The Astor Hotel

Maybe you have stayed in a super 5-star luxury hotel, maybe you have been to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the British Museum in London

But a museum hidden in a hotel may not be visited by everyone

There is such a hotel in Tianjin, which has a museum with a long history in the basement

It seems that the hotel has become a living history and continues to this day

Speaking of Astor, in the eyes of Tianjin people, its glorious history makes Astor the oldest hotel in China

It has also become a famous historical hotel at home and abroad.

The corridors through the museum are filled with vintage furniture, carpets and lamps

At the same time, you will also see the earliest elevator in China.

Reminiscent of scenes from old American movies

The historical timeline of this hotel is very rich

Including Mr. Sun Yat-sen came to Tianjin and stayed here for 3 times

Hoover, the 31st President of the United States, lived with his wife

The last emperor Puyi and Empress Wanrong often visited this hotel when they lived in Tianjin

Therefore, the objects left by this hotel have the meaning of the museum

Tianjin Astor Hotel still wants to be associated with Li Hongzhang

It was built in 1863. The name "Lishunde" comes from the teaching of Mencius "Lishunyide"

At first, it was just a warehouse on the bank of the Haihe River, and under the auspices of Li Hongzhang, Governor of Zhili at that time,

The Astor Hotel has now become the most luxurious hotel in the Far East

The museum is located underground in the hotel, separate from the hotel but still connected

Covering an area of 700 square meters, the museum has a collection of nearly 3,000 exhibits, including 41 national cultural relics

China's first-generation telegraph, telephone, electric light, elevator, digital machine, running water and fire-fighting equipment can all be seen here

There is also a cheongsam rental and shooting project in the museum, which can fulfill your dream of the Republic of China~

In addition to the museum, the hotel also gives people a feeling of coming to Europe

If you have time, drinking a cup of afternoon tea here is also a good choice

Pretend to be abroad: Italian Style Street

If you feel that Italy is too far away and Europe is too strange

In Tianjin's Italian style street, you can also experience your curious exotic style

Walking in the Italian-style street Gothic architecture Baroque architecture Large square sculpture

European cuisine, Italian restaurant, French cafe, German beer next to each other

The surroundings seem to be permeated with this European-style atmosphere, which will give people an illusion of being in a foreign country

It is called Italian Style Street because it is the former Italian concession.

The square area enclosed by the four roads in Hebei District, Wujing Road, Hebei District Boai Road, Hebei District Shengli Road, and Hebei District Jianguo Road, is collectively called the Italian Style Area.

There are nearly 200 complete European buildings preserved here, each of which is a portrayal of history.

On the way to the Italian Style Street, you will come across the Liang Qichao Memorial Hall

The square in the Italian-style street is as big and open as the European square I have been to.

If it wasn’t for Tianjin’s characteristic ripe pear cake, I could really send a photo to tell my friends that I’m abroad~

European sculpture meets Costa coffee Slowly European style

The angel sculpture in the middle of Piazza Venezia will remind people of the days of traveling in Europe

The large sculpture in the square seems to be a guiding direction, so that people in this city will no longer get lost

The streets are full of western restaurants, but there are not many people because of winter

But I heard from my friends in Tianjin that in spring, summer and autumn, here is very lively.

Especially at night, Xinyi Street in the old Italian concession in Tianjin has become a city that never sleeps.

The sun is so good on this day, even though all the leaves are withered, under the orange-red building, it still shows the little beauty of winter

The Starbucks here is set up in the bungalow, so let’s drink the authentic star daddy from “foreign countries”~

A rare German-style castle: Yuan's mansion

When you have passed through the Italian-style area, you might as well go to the nearby Yuan's mansion to have a look

It is also a beautiful little bungalow or you are attracted even if you don’t know what’s inside

This small western-style building is the former residence of Yuan Shikai, the only remaining German-style small western-style building from the 16th to the 18th centuries in Tianjin.

Different from the Italian style, this is a small western-style building with a German-style appearance, a red steep-slope roof, and a bell-shaped lighting pavilion.

Because Yuan Shikai started his political career in Tianjin

Therefore, Yuan Shikai built a large number of mansions in Tianjin, and many traces of Yuan Shikai can be found in Tianjin.

There are no other words to describe the entire mansion other than luxury

This is also different from the Chinese decoration style of other ancient mansions.

If it is not Yuan Shikai, I think many people will mistakenly think that they have entered the palace of an ancient European.

It is no wonder that Tianjin was a combination of major concessions, and it was also the first time in modern China that it received the impact of Western culture.

This building is a European classical three-story building, which is the evolution of the medieval "Roman style".

Integrating the architectural techniques of the Germanic nation, a bell-shaped lighting pavilion is built in the middle of the red steep roof ridge.

It was built in imitation of the dome of the "Santa Maria Cathedral" in the early Italian Renaissance.

And the shape adds a reverse curve to the Italian architecture, forming the unique style of German architecture.

The combination of square columns and columns in the porch is quite rare in Tianjin architecture.

On the second floor on the east side of the main building, there is a Byzantine-style small pointed dome and the tower against each other, which is a German national architectural style.

There is also a back garden in the courtyard, with rockery, verandas, fishing pavilions, flower cellars, etc. in the garden.

Ancient Museum: Confucian Temple Museum

In Tianjin, you will find that the buildings here are surrounded by various European houses

Maybe this is the story left by the concession

Maybe you will feel aesthetic fatigue from the appearance of these European buildings

Walk into the Confucian Temple Museum and return to the ancient mysterious palace hall

The Confucian Temple Museum has a long and far-reaching existence

Walking into the Confucian Temple, you will find that the buildings here are indeed very old, and even some small paint peeling off

But this does not affect the historical story it shows, but has a unique beauty

I think this may be one of the oldest museums in Tianjin

It was first built in the first year of Ming Zhengtong (1436). In 1986, Tianjin Confucian Temple Preservation Office was established. In 1991, it was renamed Tianjin Confucian Temple Museum.

Although the entire Confucian Temple does not occupy a particularly large area, it is the largest and best-preserved architectural complex of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Tianjin.

If you feel that the Forbidden City is too crowded, why not come here to take a group of palace blockbusters

In the Confucian Temple, many red signs are hung, behind which are written everyone's expectations for life

The sunshine in Tianjin at this time is particularly good, shining on the red wall, as if for a moment I feel that I have returned to the Ming and Qing Dynasties

Tianjin is a very magical place

In a corner of the Confucian Temple, there is a temporary exhibition hall, which currently displays some decorations and furnishings during the Chinese New Year.

Paper-cut window decorations, blessing stickers, snacks, etc. With the rapid development of society, it is rare to see such a complete set of Chinese New Year decorations in people's homes.

I think this is the significance of this exhibition hall, let us always remember its most original Chinese New Year atmosphere before

Theater Museum: Guangdong Guild Hall

You may think that the Guangdong Guild Hall has little to do with Guangdong.

Because this is also the most complete Qing Dynasty guild hall building in Tianjin.

The origin of this name is because Guangdong merchants formed a merchant fleet and came to Tianjin to do business.

It was still in the late Qing Dynasty, more than 100 years have passed since now

Now as Tianjin Theater Museum

The Guangdong Guild Hall is not very big. Interestingly, the location from the entrance is not the front

The real main entrance is at the rear of the building and also at the exit

Entering the hall, it is mainly composed of the foyer, the main room, the auxiliary room, the corridor and the theater building.

In Tianjin, I went to a lot of teahouses and theaters that talk about cross talk, and the decoration in the Guangdong Guild Hall is the most luxurious.

In a corner of the guild hall, the business counter at that time is still preserved

This kind of scene is somewhat reminiscent of the picture in the costume drama

All kinds of dolls are placed around the inside and outside of the hall

This is the symbol of the theater, hence the name of the museum

Since I come here during the day, it is basically for display, and no one comes here.

In the empty and quiet hall, there is an extra ancient charm

Take a closer look at the stage of the theater building. It is 10 meters deep and 11 meters wide.

The top is a spiral algae well made of mortise and tenon joints with fine wood components. It is exquisitely carved, which is very rare in similar buildings.

North, south, east and west: Drum Tower Street

In the last few days of the end of the year, take a walk around the Drum Tower Street in Tianjin

In winter, the crowds are bustling, hiding in the clouds and mist, the Drum Tower is starting to shy

Crossing the streets from east to west, north, south, red paper-cut, clay figurines, antiques, candied haws, twisted flowers on 18th Street

Every store on every street exudes a little taste of the New Year

Speaking of Drum Towers, there are Drum Towers left in many cities in China

The Drum Tower in Tianjin was established in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (that is, in 1404 A.D.)

At that time, Tianjin set up guards and built a city. This "Acropolis" was nothing more than an earthen wall.

In the past 90 years, the brick city was built, and finally the four gate towers of the east, west, north, south, and four corner towers were built.

Name it the Drum Tower, but it is actually the Bell Tower. The stories of Tianjin spread from here. This is also the birthplace of Tianjin.

The 4 streets in all directions of Gulou Street are worth a walk, not too long

Most are selling antiques and local knick-knacks

Zhang, the most famous sculpture of clay figurines in Tianjin, is vividly displayed with loveliness and vitality

It is now listed as an intangible cultural heritage

In addition to some small toys and special sculptures, there are also candied haws, maltose, and small twists that I ate when I was a child. You can find them here

I heard Tianjin people say that the best twists come from Eighteenth Street, but now more and more twists are named

So if you want to eat the most authentic twist, you still have to go to Eighteenth Street. Speaking of this, my friends in Tianjin recalled the memories of eating twist when they were young.

Because Goubuli Baozi, you can also buy cute ornaments in the shape of buns and twists here.

Eating Melon Seeds and Watching Crosstalk: Yuansheng Tea House

There is rap in foreign countries, while China has folk art, rap and cross talk

If you come to Tianjin, you might as well find a teahouse to listen to a short piece of content

After watching countless cross talks at the Spring Festival Gala and Lantern Festival, when you come to the scene

You will have different opinions on cross talk

There are quite a few teahouses on Gulou Street with crosstalks. The more famous ones are Yuansheng Teahouse and Fule Gulou Teahouse.

Both of these are included in the Tianjin Pass. If time is limited, you can choose one of them.

Of course, if you have plenty of time, it’s good to listen to it in two nights.

Crosstalk starts at 7:30pm

Cross talk actors will decide whether to start today's performance according to the number of people present

More than 5-6 people will perform, so basically it will not be canceled

When watching cross talk, I found that many of them are locals. They said they come to listen every day.

It can be seen that Tianjin people have a deep affection for cross talk

Just entered the teahouse, the furnishings and decoration style here are very similar to the Guangdong Guild Hall

Revealing the antique atmosphere, this is also my favorite place of Chinese culture

The stage of cross talk is not big, but it still has charm

Speaking of cross talk, there are three birthplaces of cross talk in China: Beijing Tianqiao, Tianjin Quanyechang and Nanjing Confucius Temple

The performance forms include stand-up comic talk, counterpart cross talk, and group cross talk.

The crosstalk performances in Yuansheng Tea House are group after group, with two people, different actors, two people, single people, etc.

The basic duration will be between 2-3 hours You can order a tea and melon seeds Enjoy this "live broadcast" version of cross talk

Ceramic Art: Porcelain Houses

The first time I saw the porcelain houses in Tianjin reminded me of the works of the Spanish artist Gaudí

Although they seem to have some similarities, they are not connected

The porcelain house is a combination of historical relics and artistic sculptures. It is priceless and unique in the world.

People gave him a title: Porcelain Meilou Qi

As far as the popularity of Porcelain House is concerned, it can be said to be the top 3 in Tianjin.

This "porcelain house" is a French-style building decorated with many antiques in Chifeng Road, Tianjin. It was designed by Zhang Lianzhi, the owner of the porcelain house.

Don’t look at these are just blue and white porcelains. In fact, they are all cultural relics and antiques.

Every blue and white porcelain has its own story

If you carefully taste the porcelain of the porcelain house, what should you say?

It used a total of more than 4,000 pieces of ancient porcelain, more than 400 pieces of white marble stone carvings, more than 700 million pieces of ancient porcelain, more than 13,000 ancient porcelain plates and bowls, more than 300 porcelain cat pillows, and more than 300 pieces of white marble Tang and Song Dynasties. Stone lions, more than 300 stone statues of past dynasties, more than 20 tons of crystal stones and agates

The more than 700 million pieces of porcelain inlaid on the porcelain house cover various historical periods.

Including the celadon porcelain of the Jin Dynasty, the Sancai porcelain of the Tang Dynasty, the Jun porcelain and Longquan porcelain of the Song Dynasty, the blue and white porcelain of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and the colorful porcelain of the Qing Dynasty, etc.

Almost all types of official kilns and folk kilns can be found on the wall.

And all of them are poured with cement and fixed with marble glue to become a part of the building.

World Fashion Gathering Center: Five Avenues

When I first arrived in Tianjin, the western-style houses and retro buildings made me feel like I was back in Shanghai.

And walking on the Five Avenues in Tianjin is like falling into a foreign country.

The name Fifth Avenue unconsciously reminds people of Fifth Avenue in New York

It is fashionable and avant-garde, and the Five Avenues in Tianjin also have such a boldness.

If you want to talk about Five Avenues, you must clock in the iconic landmark clock of Five Avenues

Fifth Avenue is an area, and it is located at the junction of Fifth Avenue and the outside world

Interestingly, when I came to the Landmark Clock, a very retro carriage came slowly, very well matched

On the Minyuan Square on Fifth Avenue, there is an extremely wide arc-shaped corridor

It seems like a big square that can only be seen in big European cities

The arched door is surrounded by a ring, in the halls of European palaces

On the outer circle of the square, there are also snow entertainment projects. Northerners’ winter always reminds people of entertainment that many southern children can’t think of.

Inside the Visitor Center on Five Avenues, upstairs is the Five Avenues Museum

It is a small private museum that reopened in May 2014. It currently displays traces of historical life a hundred years ago.

There are a total of nine exhibition halls in the museum, nearly a thousand pieces of cultural relics from the Five Avenues,

It roughly restores the life scenes of the people living here at the beginning of the last century.

There are teak carved long platforms shipped from the mainland of England;

There are fireplaces and antique wall clocks hidden by a warlord family;

There are centuries-old European-style furniture with unique styles and full of foreign flavors.

Every object here is all left over from that time

A museum showroom formed by collecting bit by bit over the past few years

It also shows that the living standard of Tianjin people at that time was very high and luxurious.

Old clothes from the late Qing Dynasty and western clothes were very common at that time

co-exist on the street

There are many simulated scenes in the museum

For example, the old pharmacy, the barber shop, and the decoration style of the houses of the aristocrats.

All were moved to the museum

You can also see "Keshilin" in the museum. It is the earliest western restaurant in Tianjin and even in China.

At that time, a lot of chocolates were sold, which became a major feature.

There is also a Prince Qing's Mansion in Five Avenues

Prince Qing's Mansion was built in 1922. It is the former residence of Zaizhen, the eldest son of Prince Qing, great-great-grandson of Emperor Qianlong, and Prince Qingzhen in Tianjin.

Qingwang Mansion can be said to be a representative building combining Chinese and Western styles. The gate and interior decoration are European style.

The park behind still retains the style of ancient royal gardens

Prince Qing's Mansion is located on Cambridge Road in the British Concession of Tianjin at that time.

No. 55, Chongqing Road, Heping District, is a historical building with key protection in Tianjin.

The internal exhibition hall tells the past and present of Prince Qing's Mansion. The magnificent and elegant garden is the venue for the wedding banquet of the newcomers.

The noble and luxurious main building combines Chinese and Western styles.

Prince Qing's Mansion looks like a two-storey building with an inner courtyard, but in fact it also has a basement design.

Through the lobby, the outer eaves of the two floors are equipped with open colonnades, and the building shape is simple and clear.

There is a shared hall indoors, which is atmospheric and open, adapting to the Westernized life at that time.

The water-brushed stone wall and the traditional Chinese glazed railing complement each other,

The traditional Chinese flowers and birds carved by Belgian craftsmanship on the door and window glass are lifelike.

Prince Qing's Mansion is a typical example of a combination of Chinese and Western architecture in the leased area of Tianjin in the 1920s.

Carefully savor every detail in Prince Qing’s Mansion, look up, there is a very eye-catching crystal lamp in every room

It fully presents the characteristics of the times in Tianjin in the 1930s when Chinese and Western blended together and the comfortable and elegant British life of people living in Five Avenues.

Residence of the Last Emperor: Zhang Yuan / Jing Yuan

The emperor Puyi in the late Qing Dynasty once lived in it, although the Qing Dynasty seems to be far away from us

But after walking into Zhangyuan, you will find that Tianjin has preserved many objects left over from that time.

Zhang Yuan is a luxurious house built by Zhang Biao, the ruler of the two lakes in the Qing Dynasty, in 1915. Many celebrities have lived here, such as Sun Yat-sen, Emperor Puyi, etc.

In 1925, the last Puyi of the Qing Dynasty fled from Beijing to Tianjin and lived in Zhang Yuan.

In order to serve Puyi, Zhang Biao specially made European-style furniture from the British Huiluo Company.

The Western-style architecture inside the house amazed Puyi who had just left the palace.

Puyi hung a plaque on the gate of Zhangyuan "Qing Palace in Tianjin Office" to gather old people, young people, and various social forces in order to restore it.

After Zhang Biao's death, Pu Yi moved out of Zhang Yuan. Only half of the incomplete stone tablet engraved with "Xuantong Emperor of the Former Qing Dynasty (Palace)" remains.

The interior decoration style has been completely designed in accordance with the European style

The beautiful glass windows remind people of the beautiful churches in Europe

Walk around every room, you will find bedrooms, offices, etc. left by celebrities who lived here

And you can also see many old antiques that are rarely seen in China today

Such as sewing machines, old-fashioned desk lamps, pulsator telephones, etc.

Mr. Sun Yat-sen once lived here, and another room was reserved for him, and the Chinese tunic suit he left behind was placed.

If you have already arrived at Zhangyuan, you might as well walk a few blocks and go to Jingyuan to have a look

Compared with Zhangyuan, there are slightly more people visiting Jingyuan because there are more objects left by Puyi, the last emperor of the late Qing Dynasty.

After entering at the entrance, you can see the Q-version sculpture of the emperor Puyi and his wife in the late Qing Dynasty, which combines ancient and modern times.

Jingyuan was originally called Qianyuan, and later changed its name to Jingyuan because of "watching changes and waiting for opportunities".

Compared with other mansions, the European room type of Jingyuan will have some Chinese elements integrated into it.

After all, Puyi came from the late Qing Dynasty, and still retains some traditional Chinese elements in it.

The main building of Jingyuan has the characteristics of Japanese wooden architecture and the style of Spanish architecture.

The structure and material selection of the door have typical Japanese characteristics, which are simple, natural and simple, but its gentle slope roof, the use of tiles and interior details have obvious Spanish medieval architectural style.

In Puyi's bedroom, the scene at that time was completely restored and preserved

A Chinese-style wooden bed with a large European-style bed curtain and a quilt covered by it still stay in the Qing Dynasty

There's a pair of leather shoes underneath, I think we'll all be curious what an ancient emperor looked like wearing leather shoes

Climb to the top: Tianjin TV Tower

Tianjin is very big, modernization and foreign-style houses in the concession complement each other

And when you climb to the top of Tianjin TV Tower, you can see the whole picture of Tianjin city.

It stands tall on the land of Tianjin and emits a charming light at night

It is a kind of belief of Tianjin people, no matter where you go, you can see it

Tianjin TV Tower, referred to as Tianta for short, is one of the ten scenic spots in Jinmen.

With a total height of 415.2 meters, it is the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest tower in Asia.

"Tianta" integrates the functions of tourism, catering and entertainment, and radio and television transmission.

I didn’t know until I saw the introduction of Tianta that it was completed in 1991.

One can imagine how advanced the development speed of Tianjin is.

On the viewing platform of the Sky Tower, there are glass floor-to-ceiling windows on the outer side for watching the scenery

The inner side is actually a small exhibition hall

The earliest batch of "Oriental Brand" cameras in China are also displayed here

There are even vintage bicycle watches and more

On one side of the viewing platform, there is a collection of TV towers in the world and the height and ranking of Tianjin Tower are marked

As the Tianjin Tower built in 1991 is still at the middle and upper reaches, it can be seen that Tianjin has developed so rapidly.

Stand on the top of Tianjin and watch the fireworks in Tianjin

Underwater World: Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park

For everyone facing a whole piece of dark blue glass

And there are thousands of big and small fish dancing in it

Even without diving into the bottom of the sea, there is a feeling of being in the ocean world

This is the profound meaning of Ocean Park, which also exists in everyone's fantasy

And these can be realized in Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park

Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park is a chain of aquariums invested and constructed by Dalian Haichang Tourism Group. It is now an AAAA-level scenic spot

And Tianjin has added polar elements, so you can see more animals from the polar regions here

Such as arctic fox, polar bear, arctic wolf, and penguins from Antarctica, etc.

Many polar animals that are not kept in ordinary zoos

Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park is composed of nine exhibition areas: polar animal exhibition area, marine animal exhibition area, underwater world, anhydrous ocean, shark exhibition area, coral exhibition area, jellyfish exhibition area, popular science interactive exhibition area, and performance field.

Standing under the huge floor-to-ceiling glass of the underwater world and posting a panoramic photo should be a must-see item for everyone.

The Polar Ocean Park is more suitable for parent-child travel. It is very necessary to bring children to popularize science. Ocean knowledge is very necessary.

The little dolls in the memorial hall are also a shopping paradise for children

Seeing these Q-version toy dolls, even my big friend is moved by them

In the twelve constellations of the ocean, I found my own constellation and the corresponding marine life

The most important and unmissable thing in Ocean Park is the animal show

Each animal performance is divided into sessions, so it is recommended that you do your homework and arrange the items to watch

World Symbol: Tianjin Eye / Century Clock

The Eye of Tianjin and the Century Clock seem to represent the past and present of Tianjin

Unprecedented design and historical witness let us add two embellishments to the history of Tianjin landmarks

On the frozen Haihe River, some people are fishing, some are skating, and some are looking at the Tianjin Eye from a distance across the bridge.

Mouth silently: so beautiful

The special thing about Tianjin Eye is that it is the only Ferris wheel built on a bridge in the world.

Fully integrated with the bridge, the Ferris wheel operates independently, and has both sightseeing and transportation functions

Every city with a Ferris wheel is romantic, Tianjin is no exception

[Tips] Shooting strategy for Tianjin Eye: King Kong Bridge is the best location for shooting, just across the bridge from the Ferris wheel

In addition, the Lion Forest Bridge, which takes a step back, is also a good choice, so that you can take pictures of the Tianjin Eye and the arc-shaped King Kong Bridge

Century Clock is also of great significance to Tianjin

It is a large-scale iconic city sculpture building built in the square in front of Tianjin Station in Tianjin to welcome the new century

At 00:00 on January 1, 2001, a melodious bell rang in front of the Jiefang Bridge in the square in front of Tianjin Railway Station, ringing the bell to welcome the new century.

Around the century clock is a large traffic disc with a design similar to a triumphal arch

Take a closer look at the environment around the century clock. There is a hint of fusion beauty of western houses and modern buildings.

When the lights come on, the night in Tianjin is so charming. This is a city with a foreign style and ancient charm.

In Tianjin, I found a lot of memories about the period of the Republic of China, and these also made Tianjin a place with stories

In just 3 days, I first saw the gate of Tianjin and the beauty of Tianjin.
