【Stay in Hotel Indigo Moonlight City and feel the beauty of design】

The impression of a city is nothing more than its hotels, because after all, this is the way you have the closest contact with this place. From touch to smell, from sight to taste, sensory and spiritual sensations will be more realistic experience.

After landing in Lijiang, drive to Shangri-La, which people dream of. After the opening of the expressway, you can see the scenery for three hours. This trip to Shangri-La chose Hotel Indigo Moonlight City, which has just been completed, and everything is brand new as if it were a gift for tourists.

When we arrived, the weather was chilly. As soon as we got off the bus, the hotel concierge came to help with the luggage. When we stepped into the hotel lobby, we instantly felt as if we had entered a warm, spacious and bright courtyard.

Hotel Indigo Diqing Moonlight City incorporates the blue, red, green, yellow, and white elements of Tibetan five-color culture. The Tibetan-style design on the top is full of strong ethnic characteristics, and the exterior is dominated by white, which may be related to Moonlight City.

It was 6:30 p.m. when we arrived at the hotel. The lobby was not very dark. It turns out that the ceiling of the lobby is made of glass, and the outdoor sunlight shines down without hindrance. I heard from the lady that the sunlight during the day and the moonlight at night will directly shine in. .

Under the ceiling of the lobby, there is a prayer wheel lighting decoration, and the pure white cover is engraved with scriptures, which is very artistic.

The layout of the lobby is clear, with the front desk and the concierge desk occupying two sides, and the artwork Nakajima in the middle, where Tibetan ornaments, ceramics and modern golden lacquer complement each other.

Although the lobby bar is separated from the lobby by a corridor, it presents a design that is more open and full of vitality. The hollow roof design allows you to be in close contact with the sunlight; when night falls, the moonlight will also shine in; the colorful glass floor made of yellow, white, and red immediately attracted my attention, and its inspiration also comes from the Tibetan five-color culture .
With dozens of pots of green plants suspended in the air and the decoration of the surrounding green plants, there is a feeling of entering the forest. I suddenly feel that this is not like a plateau at an altitude of 3300, and even breathing becomes smoother.

Hotel Indigo is located at the commanding heights of the ancient city of Dukezong. Standing anywhere in the hotel, you can overlook the entire ancient city of Dukezong. This angle, this view, is absolutely unique to Shangri-La.

In fact, if you turn around, you will find that you can take beautiful photos everywhere in the hotel, which will amaze your circle of friends. The design sense is really superb.

The hotel's 99 guest rooms are built on the hillside. Because of the site selection, almost all the rooms overlook the ancient city of Dukezong.

This time I stayed in a deluxe king room with a view. When I entered the room, I fell in love with the layout of the room at first sight. The 2-meter bed faces the spacious and bright floor-to-ceiling windows. There is a JBL Bluetooth speaker at the head of the bed, which can connect Play some nice music on your phone.

The direction of the bed faces the ancient city of Duzongke, and the design style is also full of Tibetan aesthetics. There is a large balcony outside, and the view from the balcony is even better. You can overlook the entire ancient city, and the huge prayer wheel in Guishan Park is right in front of you.

The bedside abstract painting of Tibetan five-color culture is the highlight, showing the strong cultural atmosphere of Tibet and the long history of the ancient tea-horse road all the time.

I was shocked by the welcome fruit and snacks. It can be seen that this is the intention of Hotel Indigo. The tea set and 6 bottles of pure water on the table may be because the place is too dry, and the water in the room is also particularly abundant, which also highlights the thoughtfulness of Hotel Indigo.

The gray color of the bathroom design is the main color, supplemented by the bright yellow marble countertop design, which is eye-catching. The bathing supplies are in large bottles of environmentally friendly packaging in Shanghai Beach, and the toilet and washbasin are all Duravit brands. The humanized design style gives people a feeling of home.

The hotel also has deluxe landscape twin rooms, deluxe suites, etc. to choose from, to meet the needs of different people. The tatami mats in the rooms are covered with Tibetan-style rugs facing the huge glass windows, and the entire ancient city of Duzongke has become its background. From a distance, it looks like a painting.

The all-day dining restaurant has huge floor-to-ceiling glass curtains, and you can directly see the ancient city of Dukezong.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are here. There are also a lot of Tibetan elements in the restaurant, such as partitions in the shape of butter tea tubes, yak-shaped stools, Tibetan mastiff handicraft decorations, Tibetan-style carved wooden cabinets, Mani stone ceramic artworks, auspicious knots, etc., all of which are faintly fragrant. The epitome of Barra!

There are Chinese food, Western food, and plateau specialties to satisfy the stomachs of different preferences.
The practice of the pastry yak beef ribs is a combination of Chinese and Western. It is inspired by the Wellington steak in Western food. The selected local yak rib meat in Yunnan is marinated with local spices, and then wrapped with a layer of puff pastry and baked.

The freshness of the yak meat is matched with the crispness of the meringue, which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Once you take a bite, you will fall in love with it immediately.

The crispy beef strips, which look like sesame candies, are actually beef strips. They are made from fine yak meat cut into shreds and wrapped in sesame seeds. They are crispy and delicious, and can be eaten as snacks.

If you like soup, you must try this dish of matsutake Tibetan fragrant lion head. The local specialty Tibetan pig pork belly is hand-cut into small pieces to make lion heads, and the special matsutake from Shangri-La is added inside. It tastes delicious, soft, fat but not greasy, and rich in nutrition!

Now when you come to Dukezong ancient city, you can also have authentic afternoon tea! In front of the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, facing the charming scenery of the ancient city, invite your girlfriends and friends to enjoy an afternoon tea set and spend the whole afternoon in the aroma of coffee.

Chocolate mousse, mango mousse, nut tart and other exquisite refreshments, which look exquisite and cute, eat dessert and drink afternoon tea, and take a beautiful photo to amaze your circle of friends.

Come to the lobby again in the evening, drink a glass of cocktail, don't mention how leisurely you are, return to the room after being slightly drunk, and spend a perfect night.

[Good places to visit around the hotel]

During the 72-hour trip, I chose three scenic spots to visit. If you also want to come to Shangri-La, I suggest that you stay at least two to three nights in Shangri-La. After all, you are going to Pudacuo and Songzanlin Monastery. These two must-see attractions can take up your whole day. It's time. The ancient city of Dukezong is also worth visiting, so it is another day. This time I went to a few places to give you Amway.

【Dukezong Ancient City】

The ancient city of Dukezong is an important town on the ancient tea-horse road for thousands of miles. It is the paradise described in the book, the moonlight city in the past Tibetans, and the ancient town of Shangri-La in everyone's mind today. It is an ancient city with a history of more than 1300 years.

The ancient city was built on the mountain, and the road surface is undulating. So far, there are still deep horseshoe marks on the stone road, which has witnessed the prosperity of the ancient tea-horse road.

As the hub of the Ancient Tea-Horse Road and an important caravan town at the junction of the three provinces, Dukezong Ancient City still preserves the largest and best-preserved Tibetan residential complex in the world.

Different from the gentleness and delicacy of the ancient cities of Lijiang and Dali, this place shows the unique roughness and tenacity of the Tibetan people everywhere. In addition, the prayer flags and pagodas flying under the blue sky and white clouds show a strong religious atmosphere.

Walking along the street, walking on the potholed stone road, the quaint wooden houses and earthen houses on the street are one after another, and the fine spots of light are sprinkled from the narrow street top, everything looks so leisurely and beautiful.

The quiet Moonlight Ancient City has lost many traces of reconstruction. Looking up, you can see the largest prayer wheel in the world, shining golden light in the evening clouds. Devout believers with folded hands have circled it three times.

In the depths of the alley, the hustle and bustle in front of the numerous shops has not yet cleared up, the moonlight and the lights are soft, and there is a kind of hazy beauty in the dimly lit place.
In Dukezong, we may just pass by in a hurry. If we want to truly understand this place, we can only feel it with our heart.

To feel this quiet and pure world, enjoy the sunshine on the plateau, endure the wind and cold in the snowy area, without dust pollution and noise disturbance.

【Songzanlin Temple—Feel the Power of Faith】

A trip is not only to see the scenery along the way, but also a spiritual and cultural baptism.

The most memorable part of this trip to Shangri-La is Songzanlin Temple. Temples may not be of interest to many people. For me, a non-sectarian and non-believers who believe in or not, temples will not be a focus of my journey, but Songzanlin Temple has changed I.

Kardan Songzanlin Monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province and the center of the Yellow Sect in the Sichuan-Yunnan area. It plays a pivotal role in the entire Tibetan area and is known as the "Little Potala Palace".

Looking at the Songzanlin Temple in the sun from a distance, it gives people a shock, a kind of faith, smoothes the restlessness and impetuousness in the heart, and gives people peace and strength.

Friends who like Tibetan culture can go to Shangri-La to see Songzanlin Temple, a mysterious Tibetan Buddhist temple, where you can feel the power of faith.

【Pudacuo Lake】

Pudacuo National Park is also one of the plans for this trip to Shangri-La. It is located in the center of the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage in Northwest Yunnan. It consists of the internationally important wetland Bitahai Nature Reserve and the "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural The Heritage Haba Area belongs to the Duhu Scenic Area and consists of two parts.

The park is mainly composed of Bitahai, Shudu Lake and Militang Subalpine Ranch. Due to time constraints, we only arranged for Shudu Lake and Alpine Ranch, and did not go to Bitahai.

"Pudacuo" in Tibetan means God's help to reach the other side of the lake by boat, full of beauty and poetry. Here the sky is blue, the water is blue, and the beauty is spotless, which makes people intoxicated.

The lake is a famous ranch in Shangri-La, where the water and grass are lush, cattle and sheep are cruising, eating grass leisurely, and basking in the sun for a while after eating, what a pleasant plateau sunbathing.

I like this place. It not only has a beautiful environment, but also people have a strong sense of protecting nature. There is not a single garbage on the plank road for more than one kilometer. I hope that other scenic spots can also maintain a harmonious relationship between man and nature like this place. beauty of.

【postscript】

I think the essence of self-driving is on the road. The beauty of the scenic spots is of course important, but the various experiences and scenery on the road are also a wealth of life.
You can start the Yunnan-Tibet line journey from Lijiang like me. All the way to the north, you can have a panoramic view of the magnificent landscapes such as Tiger Leaping Gorge and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and then stop at Shangri-La where Hotel Indigo Diqing Moonlight City is located. Have a perfect self-driving experience.

Tips:

transportation:
In terms of transportation, Diqing has Shangri-La Airport, which is one of the largest airports in Northwest Yunnan. Now Shangri-La has opened direct flights to Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Chongqing and Lhasa.
Shenzhen has direct flights to and from Shangri-La two days a week, and friends in Shenzhen can choose to take it.
In addition, the Lixiang Railway is under construction, and it will be more convenient after it opens to traffic in the future. The Lijiang-Shangri-La expressway is open to traffic, and it takes less than 3 hours to drive by car.
The average altitude of Shangri-La is 3300 meters. Some people may have a little altitude sickness. It is suggested that you can adapt to Lijiang for two days before coming to Shangri-La.
There are many scenic spots in Diqing, but they are relatively scattered and far apart, so it is most convenient to travel by car or charter a car.
