The secret realm of the snowy fairy mountain is long, and no one steps on the fog to embrace the vastness. It is snowy all the year round, and the jade flows through the ancient town. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the sacred mountain in the hearts of Naxi people. Its main peak, Fanzi, is 5,596 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by clouds and mists all the year round. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is composed of 12 snow-capped peaks. The alpine snow-covered scenery is located at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. It is a national 5A-level scenic spot and is famous for its danger, wonder, beauty and beauty. Every morning, there will be a large-scale live performance of "Impression? Lijiang" on the Blue Moon Valley Square in the Snow Mountain Ganhaizi Scenic Area. There is a miraculous story among the Naxi people: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain are twin brothers who depend on each other for their lives and spend their days panning for gold in the Jinsha River. One day, a vicious demon king suddenly came from the north. He occupied the Jinsha River and forbade people from panning for gold. Brothers Yulong and Haba were furious and swung their swords to fight against the devil. Brother Haba was exhausted and unfortunately had his head cut off by the devil. Brother Yulong fought against the devil for three days and three nights. The devil drove away. From then on, Brother Haba became the headless Haba Snow Mountain. In order to prevent the evil from invading again, Brother Yulong held up the thirteen swords day and night, which later turned into thirteen snow peaks. And his fighting sweat turned into black water and white water. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is often regarded as an external symbol of the Naxi people, and this legendary Jade Dragon hero has become a symbol of the inner spirit of the Naxi people. "Sanduo", the patron saint of the Naxi people, is the incarnation of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

After descending from here, you can visit the Blue Moon Valley, which was formerly known as the "White Water River". On sunny days, the color of the water is blue, and the valley is crescent-shaped. From a distance, it looks like a blue moon inlaid at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, so it is called Blue Moon Valley. The name Baishui River is because the mud at the bottom of the lake is white, and the water will turn white when it rains, so it is also called Baishui River. The river in the Blue Moon Valley was blocked by mountains during its flow, forming four large water surfaces, known as "Yuye" Lake, "Jingtan" Lake, "Blue Moon" Lake and "Tingtao" Lake. Near the Blue Moon Valley is Yunshanping, also known as the Valley of Sacrifice for Love. It is said that after a Naxi man and woman fall in love, if their family members object, they will both go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to die in love. Legend has it that the place they went to after they died in love was like a paradise. They rode tigers when they traveled, and they ate and dressed in fine clothes. In the history of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the largest number of love sacrifices was 12 couples. They found a place full of rhododendrons on the mountain, had fun together for three days and three nights, and then hung themselves on a tree.

Blue Moon Valley

After coming down from the snow mountain, I plan to try the most distinctive salmon in Lijiang with a few donkey friends in the inn. It’s the first time to eat fresh salmon raw. It’s not like the frozen food in the supermarket. It’s delicious. Taste of Lijiang.

After finishing the trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, I went to Shuhe Ancient Town after recuperating in the inn. Shuhe Ancient Town is about 7-8 kilometers away from Dayan Ancient City. Shuhe, called "Shaowu" in Naxi language, is one of the earliest settlements of Naxi ancestors in Lijiang Bazi. The specimen is a model of market town construction formed by opening to the outside world and caravan activities. The ancient town was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It is also known as Longquan Village. This ancient village faces east and west. The back mountain of the ancient town is the remnant of the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Tourists are all fascinated by the beauty here

The scenery is overwhelmed and shocked. The Dashiqiao and Dajue Palace in the town are still well preserved. The murals in Dajue Palace vividly depict the figures in Buddhism. It used to be a gathering place for leather goods in Lijiang. There is also a Longquan Temple built in the Qing Dynasty in the ancient town, which enshrines Sun Bin, the ancestor of leather craftsmen.
