In 34 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, four or five new unlocks have been made this year. Now that the Gap is here, the surplus food can still support the last long trip of this year, and it can't be too far away. I was rubbing the map inch by inch, wondering where to go next, when Wang Dasang asked me to go to Guizhou. Then Guizhou.

There is a proverb in Guizhou that "there is no three feet flat". In Guizhou's 180,000 square kilometers of land, there is not a single piece of flat land. If you look down from the plane, you can see lush green mountains as far as you can see. Even Guiyang, the provincial capital, has several mountains such as Qianling Mountain, and the road in the urban area is also difficult to climb up and down. If you drive across the states by yourself, you will find that you are always on the viaduct, and there are always mountains on both sides. If you take the high-speed rail, you will find that 90% of the time is spent in tunnels, and your mobile phone has no signal at all.

This is Guizhou, where there are mountains and mountains everywhere. The huge folds and drop of the Hengduan Mountains make Guizhou a paradise for waterfalls. Huangguoshu Waterfall and Chishui Waterfall have long been known to everyone.

The mountains here are different from other places. The extensive karst landforms have created a spectacular landscape of peak forests, large and small underground rivers, underground caves, and karst cave landscapes are hidden under it. Looking at Asia and even the world, it is the top geological landscape.

The sky is not sunny for three days, and the ground is not flat for three feet. Before the establishment of modern transportation, communication between villages and towns in Guizhou was very difficult, and many places were isolated from the outside world for a long time. It is precisely because of this long-term isolation that the 18 ethnic minorities here have preserved relatively independent and complete ethnic customs. Nearly 40% of the residents in Guizhou are ethnic minorities, nearly half of the Miao people, more than half of the Dong people, and almost all of the Buyi and Gelao people are in Guizhou.

Due to the geographical isolation from the world, Guizhou has preserved a large number of historical sites of Tunbao in the Ming Dynasty, as well as the exquisite ancient handicrafts such as embroidery, weaving, lacquer making, printing and dyeing. The endangered traditional techniques still live in Guizhou, colorful and gorgeous.

7 days is only enough to explore a corner of the complex and rich Guizhou. However, due to the mentality of playing more than one for the first time, this trip forcibly included karst forests, caves, waterfalls, canyons, Buyi villages and the first Dong village. Qiandongnan Prefecture extended an isolated branch.

travel itinerary map

The journey was very hard. After the trip, I already regretted setting such a scattered route. I should concentrate on taking the Qianxinan route~~

Travel itinerary

Day1: Hefei - Guiyang

Day2: Guiyang-Xingyi Wanfeng Forest

Day3: Wanfenglin - Malinghe Grand Canyon

Day4: Wanfenglin - Anshun Dragon Palace

Day5: Anshun Huangguoshu - Zhaoxing Dong Village

Day6: Zhaoxing Dong Village - Guiyang

Day7: Guizhou Provincial Museum

Day8: Guiyang - Hefei

Day1: Hefei - Guiyang

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, due to the repeated epidemics, the popularity of tourism has dropped, so you can find cheap air tickets. Hefei-Guiyang round trip is 835 yuan.

I didn't have any schedule that day, so I hurried on my way without rush, and then it was - to eat.

The sour soup fish hot pot that night. Hot and sour flavor, the fish is freshly selected and killed, and there are many local vegetable snacks. I don’t know their names, but they are very refreshing and delicious.

Special snacks: Ciba, tofu balls, fried potatoes

The main taste of Guizhou is hot and sour. The sourness is mostly fermented with tomato and rice soup, plus local spices. The spiciness in Guizhou is not as strong and exciting as that in Chongqing. After eating it, it feels warm in your stomach, nice~

Fish in sour soup is actually the signature dish in Qiandongnan, and Kaili is the most authentic. In southeast Guizhou where the Dong people live in settlements, there are also well-known beef flats, sheep flats, and rabbit flats. It is said that they have a bitter taste, but unfortunately they are not too afraid to try them yet. Also afraid to try v is the special pig brother (yes, it is the "little brother" in your mind). However, the local special crispy pork and pickled fish are still very good.

Dong village crispy pork

Rice Spicy Fish

When fried vegetables

Most of our itinerary this time is in southwestern Guizhou, where there are many Buyi people. The taste of the dishes is not much different from that in Guiyang, and it may be more refreshing. There are rice flower fish, blanched beef, fish in sour soup and so on~

Bean rice hot pot. Bean rice is the kidney beans in the soup. It tastes lighter than the fish in sour soup, but it is still delicious.

Frying pan, that is, local barbecue. What surprised me the most was the accompanying soup, which was placed in a small pot on top of the frying pan. It was sour, refreshing and delicious.

Dry pot blanched beef. The beef in Guizhou is very fresh and very tough. Once you eat it, you will know that it was a hardworking and healthy cow~

If you go to Qiannan, that is, in the direction of Libo Xiaoqikong, Tianyan and other Internet celebrity check-in points, you can eat authentic Dushansan sour-shrimp sour, stinky sour, and mouse sour. Three-acid is an aggravated version based on hot and sour taste, and its signature feature is smell. Shrimp acid is a base material fermented from fish and shrimp, and stinky acid is fermented from plants, not to mention mouse acid. Among them, the smell of shrimp acid is the lightest, and it is also the most acceptable to outsiders. We have no plan for Qiannan in this trip, but Guiyang, as the provincial capital, naturally has everything that one expects to eat from all over the place~

Shrimp and Sour Beef

On the last day of this trip, we ate shrimp and sour beef in Guiyang. It is indeed stinky, but for a snail noodle lover, the smell is basically drizzle. And there is a special umami taste in the stinky appearance that makes people want to stop, it is very suitable!

Other Guizhou Cuisine

You can't even eat dinner, and snacks are everywhere in the streets and alleys. Wrapped rolls, silk dolls, tofu balls, crispy buns, Chongchong cakes, glutinous rice, ice powder ice cream, mutton powder... We don't have time to eat a big meal, so we can only taste a little while on the road. Table comfort. But from the limited snack experience, it is still very good! Can glutinous rice be so delicious? ! Even the ice powder is so rich~

If you don’t come to Guizhou, you don’t know that there are so many delicious foods in Guizhou! The happiness index of eating in this line of food even surpassed the trip to Chengdu, Chongqing a few years ago, and the per capita price is much cheaper than the Sichuan-Chongqing feast. It is simply a paradise for patients with heavy tastes!

Day2: Guiyang-Xingyi Wanfeng Forest

There are many mountains and forests in the south, and I am no stranger to mountain scenery. However, as Xu Xiake said, "there are so many mountains in the world, only here are the peaks forming forests." It is interesting that the mountains in Wanfenglin are isolated from each other.

The so-called karst forest refers to a long, long time ago, here was just a highland. Due to the special composition of the rock, it is easy to be eroded by flowing water. With the blessing of time, the original highlands are carved into mountains and forests by flowing water. It is not a fold squeezed by the crust, but a persistence cut by flowing water. One day, they will all return to nothingness.

In the peak forest, you can take a sightseeing car tour, or ride or hike. Every angle is a scene.

Due to the karst landform, the soil here is loose and breathable, which is very suitable for the growth of succulents. Succulent gardens can be seen everywhere in the scenic area, as well as succulent potted plants grown by the residents of the village.

There are many unknown plants that look like tropical plants in the village. Does anyone know them?

There are three Buyi villages in Wanfenglin Scenic Area, namely Upper, Middle and Lower Nahui Villages. Most of the houses are in the modern new rural style. Thanks to the development of local tourism, many homestays with more design sense have been built, which look like a picture scroll in the middle of the green peak forest.

We live in a homestay with a beautiful yard

Occasionally see a traditional Buyi house

rice harvest season

In the center of Xianahui Village, there is a thousand-year-old banyan tree king, whom the villagers love and respect. The bridge where the banyan tree is located has also become a small market in the village, and it seems that there is a market every morning.

There are many banana trees planted in the village, with clusters of fruit hanging on them. This was the first time I saw a banana tree, and I felt like I was in the tropics in Guizhou, southwest China.

What a landscape! Tao Yuanming "picked chrysanthemums and went southeast, leisurely to see Nanshan." Maybe it is more suitable for this place?

Day3: Wanfenglin - Malinghe Grand Canyon

In the morning, visit the Malinghe Grand Canyon, which is located on the edge of Xingyi City. There are endless waterfalls in the canyon, and the green water is lingering.

Malinghe Grand Canyon

Unlike the canyon waterfalls I have seen, the weeds on the cliffs of the Maling River are covered with a thick layer of mud under the water of the waterfall.

I thought it was the sediment accumulated after the grass was watered and rotten. Wang Dasang thought it was soil, and we quarreled for a long time. Does anyone know what the hell this is?

Return to Wanfenglin in the evening. When Jiangnan is still in full swing in autumn, the temperature here is very comfortable. Walking in the village, there is a kind of quiet beauty in the years.

Day4: Wanfenglin - Anshun Dragon Palace

Wan Fenglin insisted on saying that there was something wrong with it, but the traffic was too inconvenient. If you come from Guiyang, you have to take a plane, otherwise you have to take a 5-hour bus. Fortunately, it only takes three to four hours from Wanfenglin to Huangguoshu/Anshun, and Renren is also there. However, there are too few shuttle buses. When we arrived at the station, it was just after 9 o'clock. The last bus had just left, and the next bus would be at 11 o'clock. I almost petrified on the spot.

Fortunately, the two women who have been in the society for many years are quite smart. I checked on the Internet and chose the route to Panzhou by car first, and then to Anshun by Panzhou high-speed rail. It was faster than the car that departed for Anshun at 11 o'clock, and finally arrived at two o'clock. Hotel in Anshun. Even the plan to have a big meal at noon had to be abandoned, and I ordered a takeaway and went straight to Dragon Palace.

Although, Dragon Palace is still worth it!

The Dragon Palace Tianchi at the entrance is officially said to have "the lowest natural radiation dose rate in the world". Once you enter the Dragon Palace, you really feel refreshed and comfortable.

Neither of us has ever seen such a large cave, and it is an underwater cave. We have to travel through the dark cave by boat, and our eyesight adapted to the darkness, so we began to look for strangely shaped stalagmites and stalactites.

Compared with the far-fetched stalactite shape, the fun of underwater cave exploration is more exciting. The boat is passing through the waterway, and we must always be careful of the stalagmites above our heads and the small insects on the cave walls. You can't see the bottom of the water under the boat, and you don't know if there are unknown creatures living in it. It's really a little exciting for cave exploration. In the afternoon, the peak flow of people has passed, and there are only two tourists in our small boat in the whole cave. Two tickets bought the aura of a private room, worth it~

There is also a dry cave "Tiger Cave" behind the water cave, and you can feel the cold wind at the entrance of the cave. As usual, there is no one inside, so I will book the venue again, which is great~

In addition to waterfalls and karst caves, there are also Guanyin Cave, Xuantang, Longzitian, etc. in the large Dragon Palace Scenic Area, which is enough to visit for a day.

After we came out of the cave, we started to turn back to the city. At six o'clock, I couldn't get a taxi, and there was no bus. In the end, we had to call a black car to go back to the city, and it cost twice as much as when we came here. It hurts~~

Today's traffic is really bad~~

Day5: Anshun Huangguoshu - Zhaoxing Dong Village

Today's highlight belongs to Asia's largest waterfall - Huangguoshu.

Although Huangguoshu has long been developed and known to all Chinese people, although it has been introduced in textbooks since childhood, there is no mystery at all, but actually standing in front of the Huangguoshu Waterfall is still exciting.

The ancients often compared water to Bailian, and Wang Anshi once said that "a thousand miles of Yangtze River is like practicing". I didn’t understand it before, but when I came to Huangguoshu, I realized why—it’s really too white, really like snow-white silk.

It is so white that it shines, and it is beautiful to take a photo casually.

The white is delicate and majestic. Standing on the viewing platform 100 meters away, you can hear the roar of the waterfall impacting from the section of more than 70 meters high and 100 meters wide, splashing water drops all over the valley, replenishing the skin of all the people in the valley with natural mineral springs water.

The big leaves on the side of the road are also condensed beads of moisturizing spray all over the face.

When we arrived at the Water Curtain Cave, the hydrating spray was directly upgraded to rain. Only the simple raincoat bought at the door can protect the vitals of the body and keep them dry.

There is a water curtain in the water curtain cave. The roar of the waterfall is louder, and the voice must be very loud.

The whole valley is rich in oxygen, cool and pleasant. Wang Dasang said that she could stay in a daze all day long. Well, I totally agree~

The next one is Doupotang Waterfalls. It is famous because it is the filming location of Tang Monk and his disciples crossing the river in the 87 edition of Journey to the West. In addition, the Shuilian Cave just now is not the location of the Shuilian Cave in Journey to the West.

The scenery is not as shocking as a big waterfall, but it has a sense of demure and graceful.

If I come back next time, I will definitely stay one night in the waterfall area. It's a pity that the itinerary is tight this time, and we will rush to the Dong village in the afternoon. But today's traffic is good, I even caught the last bus to Zhaoxing Dong Village when I came out of the train station, great!

Day6: Zhaoxing Dong Village - Guiyang

Yunnan and Guizhou have many plateaus, so it is generally much cooler than the outside world at the same latitude. In the past few days, I have been enjoying the coolness brought by the highlands, and I am happily immersed in the good water and beautiful scenery.

As a result, when I got off the train in Dongzhai, the heat wave outside the platform enveloped me, and I suddenly turned from autumn back to summer. His body was sticky, and he wanted to close the door immediately.

Even though the night view of the Dong village is very unique, the night is very beautiful.

Even the Drum Tower of the Dong nationality has superb architectural skills and is very distinctive.

Even though the song and dance performances of the Dong nationality are not bad, the girls of the Dong nationality sing very well.

Even pieces of stilted buildings are still pretty.

Even if the mountains are beautiful, the sky is beautiful, and the earth is also beautiful.

Even the food is delicious. But it's hot~

After ninety o'clock in the morning, my body started to feel sticky. It was so hot that I just wanted to stay in an air-conditioned room. Even if it takes ten minutes by car to see the terraced fields, I am not willing to go. In the end, we hurriedly set off early and returned to Guiyang.

Guiyang is still comfortable and chilly. I can do it again! Let's go cook! ,

You don't know that the stir-fried dishes in Guizhou restaurants can also be so delicious!

Don't underestimate this tomato rice skin, it is definitely the biggest surprise of this meal. The tomato is sour, and it is very delicious when mixed with the thin rice skin, and I don’t know what secret recipe was used, but I tasted the delicious aroma of grilled oysters, it is really amazing!

Distiller's lees fish, limited supply every day, very delicious.

Seasonal vegetables, super sweet and delicious.

Glutinous Rice Sausage

Tofu nao, the tofu taste is so strong, it's really good

This is the first time I ate such an exquisite mung bean soup. There is no mung bean skin at all, and it is sprinkled with osmanthus and crushed peanuts. I am so happy that it almost melts

Day7: Guizhou Provincial Museum

After eating and drinking enough at noon, I went to the museum in the afternoon.

Most of the provincial museums in my country are history museums, and because of the unified civilization, the museums are mostly displayed in the order of new and old stone tools, Xia, Shang and Zhou, Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms, Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Tang and Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. However, this is not the case with the Guizhou Museum.

The most dazzling heritage of Guizhou, in addition to rich fossil resources, is the colorful ethnic groups and folk customs. Therefore, around these two centers, the exhibition hall has set up exhibition halls with the theme of paleontology kingdom, the theme exhibition hall of ethnic Guizhou, and the theme exhibition hall of historical Guizhou.

A corner of Guizhou Museum

The ethnic Guizhou theme exhibition hall is definitely a star exhibition hall. The customs of various ethnic groups in Guizhou are introduced in detail, and the silver ornaments, hairstyles, costumes, bamboo weaving art, textile and printing and dyeing art of ethnic minorities are displayed, which is simply fascinating.

The library of Chinese Miao costumes and Chinese Miao silver jewelry collected and displayed in the museum ranks first in the country.

Ethnic Profiles

The introduction of the Han nationality reminded me of what the university teacher said about Guizhou preserving the customs and culture of the Ming Dynasty. At that time, a teacher of a major class said that if you want to see the ancient Chinese way of life, you must go to the ancient towns in Guizhou. The relatively isolated geography allows some areas of Guizhou to still retain the clothes and customs of the Ming Dynasty. In addition to Zhenyuan Ancient Town and Qingyan Ancient Town, which are already very popular today, there are several forts around Guiyang, and they generally preserve the appearance of hundreds of years ago.

It's a pity that I was very poor at that time and couldn't afford to travel to the distant Guizhou. Later, I got caught up in the whirlpool of society and forgot about it. It is indeed a pity that I didn't arrange this itinerary at all when I came to Guizhou this time.

Regret is the norm. As long as you think about it in your heart, the future is not far away, and we will meet each other in time.

Day8: Guiyang - Hefei

Goodbye, ancient town, Tunpu, Fanjing Mountain, fish in sour soup, beef with shrimp and sour beef, hot beef, glutinous rice, silk doll, wrapped rolls, hot pot with flat lamb...

For those who have met, those who have not met in time, we will meet again when we earn money from part-time jobs next time!
