Langde Shangzhai is located in the northwest of Leishan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is the hometown of ancient Chinese folk art and the hometown of Miao history and culture. The village still retains the former residence of Yang Daliu, a general of the Anti-Qing Rebel Army. The 2008 Olympic torch passed through here. The village is surrounded by mountains and the green water is secluded. It is an authentic Miao village surrounded by mountains and rivers with beautiful mountains and clear waters.

There are many distinctive Miao villages in southeast Guizhou, and we couldn’t go to all of them, so we listened to the advice of the locals and chose one of them—Langde Shangzhai.

Choose Langde to go to the village and live up to this trip.

Langde Shangzhai is a place I can’t forget during my trip to Guizhou. The mountains and rivers there, the local customs, the Miao people’s contented lifestyle and attitude towards life are still deeply in my memory. It is a place that people dream about, and it is a place that makes me long for the opportunity to go to it once with my family who have never been there.

Langde Shangzhai Ancient Building Complex is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guizhou Province. All the buildings in the village still retain the traditional wooden structure. The villagers maintain the traditional living customs of the Miao family and refuse commercial development. Therefore, the rare original ecology is still preserved there.

In the late afternoon of the second day in Qianhu Miao Village, take a bus from Qianhu Miao Village to Leishan, wind and circle a section of the mountain road, drive for a while, get off at the intersection of Langde Xiazhai, and go all the way Walking along the mountain road, facing the setting sun, we walked into this ancient, quiet and simple village - Langde Shangzhai.

(Langde Miao Village is divided into Shangzhai and Xiazhai. Get off at the intersection of Xiazhai and walk in the direction of Shangzhai. You can enter Shangzhai in about 15-20 minutes.)

The setting sun shone, and we approached Miao Township in the warm setting sun. What is the scenery in Miao Township, where do you live, what kind of people you meet, everything is still unknown. Just like ordinary locals, walk in along the country road, ready to go to a place with people, probably that is the village.

I saw the Miaoxiang aunt walking towards the outside of the stockade with food on her back.

The rice seedlings are dyed a layer of gold by the setting sun in the field, and the stilted buildings are scattered among the mountains. The jasper-like river flows quietly around the green mountains, flowing with peace and tranquility. The light and shadow drift apart, separating the boundaries of distinct layers of color, but all the colors present the prosperity and vitality of summer.

It is a strange feeling for a northern child walking among the mountains, striding into a village far away from his hometown and of a different ethnicity from himself in the evening. There was a bright light in his eyes. The setting sun in the mountains of Miao Township sprinkled light all over his body without hesitation, welcoming his arrival.

Finally came to the village.

Long Wind and Rain Bridge (also known as Yuqing Bridge)

We stayed at the Miaojiale Inn.

The owner of the inn, Ms. Wenxinzhi, is a hard-working, capable and forthright Miao sister, as can be seen from the honorary banner hanging on the wooden wall. The eldest sister's cattle once won the bullfighting championship in the county. The eldest sister often took out the rice wine brewed by herself to drink with the men in the other house where we lived. They all drink so well! I have always exaggerated that the eldest sister's house wine is delicious and strong enough, and the bacon cooked by the eldest sister is delicious and delicious. It's just that big men like them can't drink alcohol at all, they can't drink big sister, and big sister doesn't try to persuade her. Ha ha.

We went up and down freely in the stilted building of my eldest sister's house. The third floor was the guest room, the second floor was her living room, and the first floor and even downstairs were the kitchen and storage room. In my free time, I chat with my eldest sister or her man, or sit on the side of the "beauty side" facing the beautiful scenery of water and mountains to enjoy the cool air and watch the scenery.

Sitting on the side of the beauty, facing the green mountains and green waters in the north, in the evening, buffaloes are often drinking in the water, and there are children playing in the water or riding on the back of the cattle. The golden rice fields, the endless green fields, the ancient wind and rain bridge - that kind of evening, that kind of picture, then and now, belong to another world of mine.

In the evening, I took headboy and sneaked into the stockade in the dark to watch people chase big geese. You can't see your fingers in the stockade at night, and there must be no street lights. I also don't remember why I had such a big addiction or curiosity, leading my children to go out in the dark. It must be the sense of trust and intimacy that Zhaizi gave me, and the feeling of freedom...

I came back very late, and I still haven't eaten anything in my stomach. I clearly remember that it was past 10 o'clock in the evening, and the eldest sister now cooked instant noodles for us, and we ate them comfortably (sitting on a small bench). She had just returned from drinking at the neighbor's!

The next day, I went to the village to walk around, turn around and visit during the day.

The ancient and primitive Langde Shangzhai has many intangible cultural heritages. The buildings in the village are all made of wooden structures, and the people in the village still maintain the traditional Miao lifestyle.

The mountains and rivers are pastoral and the scenery is beautiful.

This big goose seems to be a bully in the village...

After watching the wind and rain on the Fengyu Bridge, I came to Langdezui Miao Township.

In the afternoon, I suddenly heard that we are catching up with the annual "Bullfighting Festival", which is really good luck! Unintentionally inserting willows and willows into shades. The original itinerary was to leave that night or the next day. How could we miss the Bullfighting Festival in Leishan County? This is a big festival for the Kaili Miao people! Of course we have to open our eyes. Join in the fun!

That - it's really a sea of people...
