Route recommendation:
Great transportation: Just arrive at Anshun. Now Anshun has opened a high-speed rail station and an airport, and the transportation is extremely convenient. If there is no direct flight, you can find Guiyang as a transfer.
Small transportation: more than 40 kilometers away from Anshun city, about half an hour's drive from the high-speed rail station. I personally suggest that if the distance is close, you can take a bus or taxi. If the distance is far away, it is recommended to drive by yourself!
Schedule: 1 day to enjoy Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area
Scenic route planning: visit Huangguoshu core scenic spot in the morning -- eat at the restaurant in the scenic spot at noon -- visit Tianxing Bridge scenic spot in the afternoon -- and finally Doupotang scenic spot
When it comes to Guizhou tourism, most people will blurt out Huangguoshu Waterfall. It attracts tourists from all over the country and even the world with labels such as grand momentum, strong sound and amazing width. However, in addition to these external factors, tourists also have a special emotion for Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is the plot of "Journey to the West". Among the TV versions of the four major classics, the 86 version of Journey to the West is definitely a classic among classics. It not only performs well, but also maintains many unsurpassable records, such as the most replays. Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of the filming locations of TV dramas back then, has naturally become a popular place for viewers to follow. So how many scenes did the Journey to the West crew take in Huangguoshu Waterfall? What are they? Can you still see the original? With these questions in mind, we started our trip to Huangguoshu Waterfall today.
First of all, I will introduce you to the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. It is located in Anshun, Guizhou, and consists of three major sections, namely the core scenic spot of Huangguoshu Waterfall, Tianxing Bridge scenic spot and Doupotang scenic spot. Today we are mainly making a fuss about the core scenic spot of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Huangguoshu Waterfall itself has a great background. As early as the Ming Dynasty, Xu Xiake, a famous Chinese traveler, was shocked by its majestic momentum when he entered Yunnan through Huangguoshu Waterfall. He also wrote an article praising it, among which "there are many times as tall, but never so wide and big" is regarded as a true portrayal of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Those taller than it are not as big, and those bigger than it are not as tall. This is why Huangguoshu Waterfall is unique.
As a local pillar industry, Huangguoshu Scenic Spot is an old domestic 5A-level scenic spot, and it has put a lot of effort into the maintenance of the scenery and the equipment of the surrounding facilities. It is reported that the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Spot has recently launched several high-tech measures in order to alleviate the phenomenon of the decline in the quality of tours caused by the huge number of tourists. Among them, the time-sharing appointment, the device of swiping face to enter the park is a special "net celebrity". It is reported that the scenic spot pre-sells tickets one day in advance, and tourists can make an appointment to enter the park, and then buy them online. On the second day, you can directly enter the park with your face. Of course, if the machine does not recognize you, there is no need to panic. The staff will point out from the side and ask you to take out your ID card to re-enter your appearance, and then you can directly scan your face at other access control places. The advantage of this is that it saves manpower and no longer needs manual ticket checking. Second, it saves time. The speed of manual ticket checking is not as fast as that of machine scanning. The third is safer, because the face recognition system of the scenic spot is connected to the public security system. If you have a criminal record or a dangerous person, when you scan your face, the information will directly enter the public security system. Not only will you not be able to enter the scenic spot, but you will have nowhere to hide under the watchful eyes of the police! These three functions are the core functions of entering the park by swiping the face this time. They are particularly advanced and make the experience of tourists even more high-quality!
The core scenic spot of Huangguoshu Waterfall:
Compared with the praises of the ancients, we are now fortunate to experience it personally, and the feeling of Huangguoshu Waterfall is more intuitive. First of all, before seeing its shape, first hear its sound. The closer you get, the faster the sound becomes, and the louder the sound becomes. When the figure was slowly seen, the sound resounded throughout the universe. Because of the turbulent water flow and high temperature, the water vapor generated is lifted up and spread far away. Looking down at the Huangguoshu Waterfall from a high altitude, different perspectives bring different impacts. Between the mountain streams, there is a rush of thousands of miles. Its force is strong enough to swallow the sky and the earth, and its sound is so strong that it can shake the sky.
Walk along the waterfall and enter the "Water Curtain Cave" from behind the waterfall, and your clothes will all get wet. This is the most authentic feeling of the power of the waterfall, so close! Entering the cave, the temperature drops sharply, and what tourists like to do most in the cave is to look behind the waterfall through the holes in the cave. Looking at the world through the water curtain is like looking at flowers through fog, sometimes clear and sometimes blurred. Huangguoshu Waterfall is a scenic spot that can be most directly related to the scene of the TV series. The scene where Monkey King took root in Huaguoshan and flew in and out of Shuilian Cave was filmed at Huangguoshu Waterfall. Although the scene in the Water Curtain Cave is not here, the scene of Sun Monkey flying in and out is very familiar to fans of Journey to the West, and it is an absolute classic! So people look at the water curtain through the hole, but also feel some of the real feelings of Monkey King in the water curtain cave!
In the core scenic area, you can’t miss the classic shooting angle of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The Guizhou tourism posters you see and the posters about the Huangguoshu Waterfall basically have photos taken from this angle. This location is next to the observation deck. But it is best not to shoot the waterfall head-on, otherwise it will appear that the primary and secondary are unclear. It is best to be on the side, with mountains as the backing, reefs as the foreground, and uneven water beaches as the foil, so the effect will be better. Of course, the number of tourists here is also huge, so pay attention to safety when taking pictures!
There is also the location of Gaolaozhuang, a scene that can still be seen today. This is the filming location of Zhu Bajie carrying his wife on his back. At present, it is open to pick up passengers, and you can experience the scenes in Journey to the West. Moreover, the environment of this building complex is very good, with rockery and artificial ponds in front. These elements make tourists return to the TV series, fascinated!
Pansi Cave was also filmed here, and the entrance of the cave can still be seen now. This scene is currently in a semi-abandoned state, and can only be seen from a distance from the cable bridge. Although many tourists can't recall the specific scenes in the TV series from the exterior, they can still find a little memory under the guidance of the tour guide.
Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area:
This is one of the sub-scenic spots of Huangguoshu Scenic Area. There are two things that impress me the most here. One is Tianxing Cave, which is a natural cave. The other is the Water Stone Forest.
Tianxing Cave is named after the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area, and its area is small. From the entrance to the exit, if you don't stop, you can walk in a quarter of an hour to 20 minutes. The biggest feature of Tianxing Cave, I think, should be the beginning section. Because many karst caves have been modified in the later stage, they all appear to be particularly tall and spacious, and the sense of space is also particularly good. But the section at the beginning of Tianxing Cave is very narrow. Sometimes even only one person can pass through. Such a pure natural passage allows tourists to experience the original beauty better. The grotesque scenes in the cave and the ticking sound of water droplets make people feel as if they have traveled through time. Karst caves are a gift of nature, at least tens of thousands or even hundreds of millions of years of evolution, to have the current scene. It is not an exaggeration to say that caves are the annual rings of the earth.
Stone Forest on Water is another classic scene in Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area. Its characteristic is that in the turbulent water flow, dark stones are prominent, and the number is extremely large and irregular. They are like stone forests on land in the water, forming a stone array. Although it is not as towering as it is on land, the rocks that spring up like mushrooms in the water have a special flavor. The water slaps against the stones, splashes, and then quickly disappears and merges into the water. Coupled with the surrounding vegetation embellishment, it is like a dream!
Steep Pond Scenic Area:
This is the last of the three main scenic spots in Huangguoshu Scenic Area. But the popularity here is not inferior to the core area, just because this was once the location of the most classic scene in Journey to the West. Remember the scene of the four masters and apprentices walking on the waterfall at the beginning of the ending song? This point is also the best preserved point in the scenic spot. You can easily see how the scene is framed here. It will play a very good guiding role for everyone to quickly restore the scenes in the TV series!
Although the area of the Doupo Pond is small, it takes less than half an hour to complete the overall tour. But because of Journey to the West, he became a must-check in Huangguoshu Scenic Area. It can be seen that a well-known film and television drama has a huge role in promoting a place. Although after more than 30 years, the actors in the play are gradually aging, but the 86 version of Journey to the West is destined to become a classic. At the same time, these elements that make TV dramas are also worth remembering.
eat in the scenic spot
Because of the itinerary, it is impossible to eat outside the scenic spot at noon, so we simply dine in the scenic spot. This restaurant is called - Wisteria Court. The dishes are not bad, the type is partial to farm dishes. The taste is not bad, how to put it, there is no problem for filling the stomach, but it may be difficult to pursue some high quality. But having said that, why eat in a scenic spot restaurant if you want to pursue quality?
Accommodation recommendation:
I recommend two hotels here, one is Bolian Hotel and the other is Huangguoshu Hotel. These two hotels have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the prices are also quite different. So the judges choose according to their needs.
1: Bolian Hotel: The supporting facilities are very luxurious and the service is very good. The surrounding environment is absolutely first-class, and it is equipped with hot springs and other equipment, which can meet the needs of residents for self-cultivation. The hotel's meals are also more diverse, including Western food and Chinese food. Housing conditions include standard rooms, suites and other styles to meet different travel modes. But the price is on the expensive side, which is more suitable for families traveling.
2: Huangguoshu Hotel: The supporting facilities are relatively simple, similar to guest houses. But this hotel has a good location, and several of the rooms can directly see the Huangguoshu Waterfall. So if you want a good view and you can see the scenic waterfall at a glance, then this hotel is your first choice!
Summary: There is more than enough time to visit Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Spot in one day, but it is indeed a bit hard physically. I walked more than 30,000 steps that day, and my steps were a little heavy at the end. So I suggest that everyone, don't be in a hurry, play leisurely. Relaxing yourself and feeling nature is the essence of travel!
