I have seen too many mountains and rivers during my travels in the past few years, and I am a little tired of aesthetics. I especially want to see different scenery, such as the desert. I accidentally saw Ningxia, and checked the air ticket from Harbin for only 300 yuan one-way. It’s such a cheap price that I’m sorry for the holiday if I don’t go out to play, so I booked the ticket decisively and stubbornly.

Departure from Harbin to Yinchuan at 19:25 on the evening of June 4, get off the plane at 22:30 and take the airport bus line 1 to the terminal at the Westport Aviation Hotel. The whole journey takes 30 minutes and costs 20 yuan. Next to this hotel is the famous South Gate Tower - a pocket version of Tiananmen Square, which also has a small square, which is very funny.

The street scene at night looks a bit dilapidated, and there are some vendors selling grilled squid, kebabs and the like. After the grilling here, a lot of chili noodles will be sprinkled, which is super spicy. There are many young people with faces of ethnic minorities gathered around. To be honest, it would be a bit scary if a girl came here alone to travel at night.

I took a taxi to the hotel I booked near Crescent Square. The driver's accent was quite heavy, and I had to listen attentively to understand it. I always felt that the accent here was a bit like Shaanxi dialect. In order to avoid the crowds during the small and long holidays, we put Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City on the first day, and Shapotou on the second day. During the official holiday from June 7th to 9th, we camped in the desert up.

6.5 Ningxia Museum

Visit the Ningxia Museum in Jinfeng District at 9:00 in the morning. It is free. I came here mainly to see the rock paintings of Helan Mountain. Although the rock paintings of Helan Mountain are very famous, I can’t see the paintings on the mountain clearly with my short-sighted eyes, so I still come to the museum to see them up close. Yes, but it is a pity that I can't buy Helan Mountain Stone's refrigerator magnets anymore.

On the first floor of the museum is the petroglyph exhibition, the most famous of which is the "Sun God". A product of celestial worship.

Compared with the "Sun God" petroglyphs in other countries, they are surprisingly similar.

Abstract art goat, animal

The writing of the Xixia Dangxiang clan looks super complicated. It was created by the minister Yeli Renrong in the first year of Daqing before Li Yuanhao, Emperor Jingzong of Xixia officially proclaimed himself emperor. It was completed in three years, with a total of more than 5,000 characters. The shape is square, the strokes are complicated, and the structure imitates Chinese characters, but it also has its own characteristics.

It is particularly appropriate to describe Xixia characters in one sentence: from a distance, they are all characters, but from a close view, they are not characters.

The Xixia dictionaries "Wenhai" and "Yintong" unearthed in Heishuicheng, Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia have the most complete collection of characters. At the same time, there is also a dictionary "Fan Han He Shi Zhang Zhong Zhu" edited by Gu Le Maocai of the Dangxiang tribe. The Chinese and Xixia scripts were compiled in a way of matching sounds and meanings, and included many Dangxiang words, which became the key to unlocking the language and writing of Xixia for later generations.

Li and Ding's Xixia characters are too complicated

Great Summer Search, located on the second floor of the museum

Xixia is a state power established with the Dangxiang clan as the main body. In 1038 AD, Li Yuanhao, the leader of the Dangxiang, established the country and proclaimed himself emperor. The territory of Xixia includes present-day Ningxia, most of Gansu, northern Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia. Xixia is located on the Silk Road of cultural exchange between China and the West, forming a multiculturalism mainly influenced by Han culture in the Central Plains. On the other hand, it also shows Strong national characteristics. When Xixia fell, cultural relics and classics were destroyed, and the historical and cultural features of Xixia gradually blurred and were forgotten by later generations.

The Nine Frontier Towns of the Ming Dynasty were nine important military towns established successively along the Great Wall defense line on the northern border during the Hongzhi period of the Ming Dynasty. Among them, most of the remains of the Great Wall in Ningxia Town were buried in quicksand, and only the stone-built city walls in the Helan Mountain section remained intermittently. .

The gilded bronze bull, the treasure of the town hall, was unearthed in 1977 in the funeral tomb No. 101 of the Xixia Mausoleum District, reflecting the superb level of Xixia bronze casting technology.

At 11:40 noon, take a bus to the Zhenbeibao Film and Television City at the Ningxia tourist attraction through train station opposite the railway station, and the drive takes 40 minutes.

This through train has a WeChat public account, and you can book tickets directly in it, which is very convenient.

6.5 Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City

Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City was founded by writer Zhang Xianliang on September 21, 1993. It is one of the top ten film and television bases in China. Films such as "A Chinese Journey to the West", "New Dragon Inn", "Red Sorghum" were all filmed here.

Fridge magnets in classic scenes, very cheap, 10 yuan each

Tickets are 80 yuan, which can be purchased directly on Ctrip, and student tickets are 40 yuan, which can be entered by scanning the QR code and student ID card.

It would take half a day to a day to walk through all the streets of Mingcheng, Qingcheng and Laoyinchuan. The two of us arrived at the scenic spot around 12:30 noon and returned at 4 pm. We only played for 3 and a half hours. Qingcheng and Laoyinchuan Yinchuan is a street that is walked once, and the time is a bit rushed.

The classic scene in "Red Sorghum" is also the most beautiful shot - the Moon Gate. Although the blue sky and white clouds are very suitable for taking pictures today, if it is under the sunset, it should be accompanied by the tune of "Sister, go forward boldly, don't look back". , definitely looks more desolate and magnificent.

Behind the moon gate is the exhibition room of 99 spirits, where a total of 99 spirits are hand-painted, and their origin, characteristics, and natural preferences are added next to each spirit, all of which were created by Zhang Gongfu, son of Zhang Xianliang.

The introduction at the entrance is a ghost culture exhibition. It feels a bit scary when you walk in, but the paintings are actually quite cute, such as the big-headed ghost, which looks like a potato.

This tavern seems to be the scene in "A Chinese Journey to the West"

Pretending to be able to rub corn kernels

This dog scared me when I turned around, the shape is too spicy

The filming location of "Assassin's Mausoleum" has a Douban score of 3.8. How did Chen Daoming think of accepting this drama?

This scene was set up by director Teng Wenji when he came here to film "The Ballad of the Yellow River" in 1989. In 1994, director Liu Zhenwei chose this scene again to film "A Chinese Journey to the West", and it became the main scene where Zhizunbao and the bandits discussed.

In the lower left corner, Ding Daqiang is working hard to take pictures of me, haha

The effect is not bad

Longmen Inn, do you think of gold inlaid jade?

I don’t know if this interior scene is still the real shooting scene

Next to the Longmen Inn is the Bull Demon King's Marriage Office, and there is a clothing rental booth next to it. It costs 20 yuan for 20 minutes, which is not too expensive.

The boss combed the headdress and matched it with a sword, but without the bell jewelry on Zixia's hand, she started the crazy photo mode.

The boss said that Daqiang should also rent clothes from Zhizunbao. He said that Zhizunbao and Zixia had a bad ending, so forget it and draw your sword.

The classic scene of "A Chinese Journey to the West", Tang Seng's torture platform, "Humans and goblins are born of mothers, different people are fucked by people, and demons are fucked by demons", "Be careful! It's thundering! It's raining to collect clothes Ah!" The rambunctious Tang Seng tortured the two little monsters until they committed suicide.

There are also camel riding projects here, but I always feel that it is a bit out of place. Camels should still be matched with the desert.

"Moon Gate" in the distance

There are mainly 3 scenes to see in Qingcheng, and they are all very important scenes in Journey to the West.

Masked wall, Zixia got into Zhizunbao's stomach and asked him if he loved his wife deeply, and at the same time left a tear in Zhizunbao's heart. The masks on the wall are no longer those of the past.

Pansi Cave, it looks a bit fake, it’s like a haunted house inside, it’s too timid to pull me in, hey

There is also a museum in Qingcheng, which houses a lot of film props and costumes.

For example, the armor of Supreme Treasure

Here comes the most classic scene - the back garden

There was once a sincere love in front of me, I didn't cherish it, and I regretted it when I lost it. There is nothing more painful than this in the world. If God can give me another chance, I will say three words to that girl: I love you. If I have to add a time limit to this love, I hope it is... 10,000 years

Back then, this line was so popular all over the country, my mother even copied this line in her phone book, haha

This embroidery building seems to have the interaction of throwing hydrangeas every day

The classic Westward Journey City Gate Tower is no longer allowed for tourists to go up, so they can only wait and see from a distance.

At 4:00 p.m., take the through train back to the urban railway station, take the K885 train to Zhongwei City, and play in Shapotou tomorrow.

6.6 Shapotou

At 10:30 in the morning, go out and take a taxi to Zhongwei Bus Terminal, and take the No. 2 bus directly to Shapotou in the parking lot, 5 yuan/person. This bus is an ordinary minibus that travels from the urban area to the suburbs. The condition of the bus is relatively poor. It passes through many villages and crop fields, and it takes an hour to reach Shapotou.

The big ticket is booked on Ctrip, 75 yuan for adults and 40 yuan for students. It is very convenient to scan the code directly to enter the park. Play items purchased at the official flagship store of TB Shapotou: 1. Speedboat + sheepskin raft, 120 yuan/person; 2. Yellow River zipline + cable car + sand boarding, 120 yuan/person. Since we have desert camping in the follow-up trip, we can Enjoy playing with sand and riding camels, so I gave up the desert project in Shapotou. There are many kinds of combination tickets, which can be purchased according to your own needs.

Judging from the items we bought, the normal order of play should be to play the combination of the Yellow River Zipline first, then play the speedboat, and finally play the sheepskin raft, because the sheepskin raft belongs to drifting down the current to the gate exit. I played the speedboat and sheepskin raft first, and bought the battery ticket at the gate to return to the starting point, hey.

The speedboat project is quite general, in fact, you don't have to play it at all.

Sheepskin rafts are an ancient means of transportation for residents along the Yellow River. There is a jingle about making sheepskin rafts: kill a sheep, peel off a piece of skin, cover all the hair, brush a layer of oil, expose it to the sun for a month, and blow it on. In one breath, tied into a row, it can sail foreign warships, drifting him for decades, carefree like a fairy.

The sheepskin raft was taken by 4 tourists and 1 boatman. The other two people in our group were a father with a little girl about 10 years old. The father weighed nearly 200. He and Daqiang weighed down the raft. Tilting straight, the boatman yelled: "It's too heavy, too heavy, and the three of us can't overwhelm you two."

The bridge deck of this bridge is made of 3D glass, and it is also the first 3D glass bridge in my country, with a total length of 210 meters, a width of 2.6 meters, and a vertical height of 10 meters from the river surface, across the Yellow River.

Since the sheepskin raft goes down the current, there is no way to row up the upstream, so the speedboat will pull the sheepskin raft and the boatman back to the starting point upstream, saving time and effort, haha.

After returning to the starting point by the battery car, I saw a table for a game competition. Participation is free. Groups of 3 people compete at the same time. There are 2 events in total. The first is to throw shuttlecocks into the bucket to see who throws the most. It is to use chopsticks to pick up the glass balls in the water basin, and see who can pick up more. Daqiang won the first project, and I won the second project. I got 14 glass balls, and they both got 10. In the end, I got a plush toy of a camel, and they each got a pair of sand slopes. Head view of playing cards.

Since the Yellow River zip line and sand boarding need to go up to the top of the desert first, the cable car can choose to go up and down twice. It doesn't have to go up and down, just talk to the ticket checking staff.

This cable car almost scared me to pee, there were too many suspensions, I didn't dare to look behind me, and after halfway through, I dared to take a few photos trembling, for fear that I would fall.

The Yellow River Zipline, also known as Feihuang Tengda, wears safety protective equipment, holds the handles on it with both hands straight, sits back with the buttocks, and crosses the legs. This posture must be maintained throughout the whole process, especially the hands must not be let go. In addition, there is a weight requirement for this project, which must not be less than 35kg, men must not exceed 90kg, and women must not exceed 80kg, neither underweight nor overweight.

In a group of three, I was in the middle. When I first slid out, it was too exciting. The speed was very fast. I really felt like I was flying. I couldn’t help shouting several times. When I slid to the middle, I had already adapted to this speed. Start enjoying this exciting process. Near the end, the two men on the left and right of me slid in by themselves, and I relied on the staff to shake my steel rope a few times before I slid in, and my weight was still a bit light.

This project is also very cost-effective. It is a round trip, which is equivalent to playing twice. The first time is to slide from the top of the desert to the other side of the Yellow River, and the second time to come back is to slide to the foot of the desert where you just started. After playing, I can only use four words to describe it: the meaning is still unfinished.

At the end of the one-way trip, you can go up to the high platform and play bungee jumping.

After resting for a while, take the cable car to the top to play sand boarding.

The flower sticks planted in the ant forest actually look like this.

Wangwei Observation Deck "Lonely smoke in the desert, the sun sets in the long river"

After walking in the desert for a short while, my feet were burned in just a few minutes, and I was a little scared about going to camp in the desert tomorrow.

There are poles on both sides of the sandboarding board that can control the speed and left and right. Although the sand slope looks relatively high and steep, but because you can control the speed by yourself, it is fine when you actually slide.

Sandboarding can only be played once, and the excitement is not very high, which is much inferior to the Yellow River Zipline.

In addition to the sandboarding area, there is a large free desert area next to it for everyone to play. I wanted to wear sun protection clothing and a hat to play for a while, but it was too hot and the ultraviolet rays were super strong, so I gave up.

Styling in the shade

At 4:30 in the afternoon, I still took the No. 2 bus back to the urban area, and took a taxi to the Yanchi Stewed Lamb Restaurant. Yanchi Tan sheep is a specialty of Ningxia. The meat is tender, tasteless, and the fat is evenly distributed.

The two of us ordered hand-caught lamb, shallots, peeled skin, and eight-treasure tea. I don’t know if the mutton is real Yanchi Tan sheep. Anyway, it’s delicious. The scallions don’t have a scallion taste, and the taste is a bit like leeks. , Babao tea is sweet and delicious.

6.7 Zhongwei Gaomiao

Sleep until you wake up naturally in the morning, and after a leisurely breakfast, go to the Zhongwei Gaomiao opposite the hotel. There is a Baoan Temple in front of the Gaomiao. Daqiang looked at the plaque and said, this temple is interesting, and all the security guards work here. Uh, he seems a little silly.

Gaomiao is a temple that combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. There are not only Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but also Jade Emperor, Our Lady, Wenchang and Guan Gong. The Gaomiao was first built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403-1424) and has a history of more than 600 years. After many reconstructions, it was almost destroyed at that time, and what we see now are basically rebuilt later.

Gaomiao wins with its height. On the high platform of only more than 4,000 square meters, there are more than 260 overlapping pavilions. The whole building complex is divided into two parts, the front is low and the back is high, stacked in layers, shaped like a phoenix spreading its wings. The front yard is the Baoan Temple and its mountain gate, the upper part is the Daxiong Hall and the middle building of the Nantian Gate, and the uppermost floor is the Wuyue Temple, the Yuhuang Pavilion, and the Notre Dame Palace. There are wooden ladders leading to the middle building. The two wings of the main body are the accompanying halls such as the Bell and Drum Tower, the Wen Tower and the Wu Tower.

The most famous scenic spot in the Gaomiao is this "hell". It is one of the four ancient hells in China. The first one is the eighteen-story hell of Baishan Temple in the middle of Shanxi Province. This is the only eighteen-story hell in China. The prototype of hell; the second is the Shuanglin Temple Hell in Pingyao County, Shanxi Province; the third is the Jinge Temple Hell in Wutai County, Shanxi Province; the fourth is the Gaomiao Hell in Zhongwei.

You can hear the eerie music in ghost movies at the entrance of the underground palace. The underground palace is built in an environment similar to an air-raid shelter. It is very cold and the shelf is very low. After entering, it is full of depression. As soon as you enter, there is a long white corridor with "Huangquan Road" written on it, and various warning words are painted on both sides. The first time I went in, I came out before I finished walking "Huangquan Road". There was no one around, just me Myself, it’s too scary. After coming out, I felt unwilling for a long time. How could I come out without reading it, and went in with a group of Cantonese old men and old ladies. This time, a group of people were chattering beside me. Not so scary anymore.

Eye gouging prisons, iron grinding prisons, tongue pulling prisons, etc. in the underground palace are combined with voice control and light control methods, and some of them are dynamic. The touch is really great, especially when you see the palace of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Especially emotional. In addition, don't visit the underground palace by yourself. The layout here is a bit like a maze. It's easy to get out without paying attention. It's not good to scare yourself.

Ding Daqiang didn't dare to go in the whole time, and said that I didn't have a sense of awe and dared to look at everything, hum, despise him.

It feels great to see the sun again after coming out of "Hell". After Gaomiao comes out, there is a big park with a good environment. It may be because it is in the city center, and many local residents take their children to play here.

Hey the little pigeons, and end the Gaomiao trip in a happy mood.

6.7-8 Desert camping

After checking out at 2:00 p.m., we left our luggage at the hotel and waited for the leader of the desert camp to pick us up. We booked a two-day and one-night desert camping group in advance, 580 yuan per person, including camel riding, desert surfing, sand boarding and other items. For dinner, there is a large plate of chicken, barbecue, and unlimited beer. At night, camping in the desert to watch the stars is super romantic.

Tengger Desert belongs to Inner Mongolia, Alxa Left Banner. It is very close from Zhongwei. We first took a commercial vehicle with the team leader to the transfer station of Tengger Desert for 40 minutes, and then took a surf car to enter the desert.

This surf car is super exciting. Climb to the top of the desert and then dive down. The height and steepness of many sand dunes make people feel that the car is about to overturn. I opened my eyes once during the whole process, and I was so scared that I collapsed and screamed all the way. The team leader also said this It's nothing, but when we leave the desert the next day, there will be a passionate 18-bend surfing, which is really exciting.

a lonely tree in the desert

There are actually quite a lot of vegetation in this desert, almost all of which are green along the way into the desert.

Our camp is in a depression in the desert, and there is a big water pool in the middle. The team leader said it was dug out manually, which is amazing.

You can also go boating here, the water is very clear.

Look at the door of our camp house, there is a thick layer of sand hanging on it, it's all crusted.

I bought a lot of items for this desert trip, first of all, shoe covers, which are necessary to prevent sand from getting into the shoes; and face towels, which must be brought when sandboarding, otherwise, the head and face will be covered when it slides down Sand; sun protection clothing, sunglasses, hats; and plastic wrap. Those who bring a camera must wrap the camera well. The wind here blows the sand. If the camera gets into the sand, it cannot be repaired and it cannot be cleaned at all. .

These items are included in the free activities, including unlimited sandboarding, you can play casually, these are included in the tour fee, no need to spend money.

You can drive your ATV/Kart by yourself or let the boss take you. Daqiang drives a go-kart by himself. I don’t have the guts to drive this. Honestly ask the boss to take you.

The sky in the desert is so beautiful. It was a little rainy when we set off from Zhongwei in the afternoon. The team leader said that it might be cloudy and windy in the desert today. I didn’t expect it to be sunny after we arrived, which was a pleasant surprise.

Camel riding is the project I am most looking forward to on this trip. These big guys are ugly and cute, but they can't get too close, they are easy to be spit on, just like alpacas.

The camel's hair is very rough to the touch, and a small wooden stick is inserted horizontally in their nose, and the whole camel team is connected by a rope.

I was the first one in the camel team, the view was super good, and the team leader led the team with my camel. The camel stood up too high, and I was a little scared. The photos I took on the way were all taken blindly with one hand. I didn’t dare to let go of both hands. I was really afraid of falling.

Footprints left by previous camel caravans

The black dots on the sand along the way are all camel poop, so much.

I took this photo with the courage to turn around and take it, I'm so glad I didn't fall.

Ding Daqiang was at the back of the camel team, smiling happily. Originally, each of us should have a photo of riding a camel, but this time the staff forgot to take a photo for us, what a pity.

When disembarking camels, you have to listen to the leader one by one. The camel kneels on its front legs first, and the people have to lean back hard to avoid falling forward.

The ultraviolet rays here are super strong, so you must wear a hat and a rope, otherwise the hat will fly when a gust of wind comes.

The distance between the sky and the desert seems close at hand, and you can touch the clouds as soon as you reach out.

Then came the sandboarding project, and Ding Daqiang, a person with fear of heights, was staring at the bottom again.

The sand skiing here is a bit like the ski circle in Northeast China, where you slide down with tires, unlike Shapotou, where you ride on a plastic board.

Because the speed of this slide is uncontrollable, it feels more exciting than that of Shapotou who can control the brakes by himself. Although there is no limit to the number of sandboarding, but every time I have to climb up the ladder next to it, and the ladder is almost buried in the sand, it is very strenuous to climb, I have no strength after playing twice.

Look at how embarrassing I am when I come down

After finishing the project, we went back to the camp to eat big plate chicken. There were only 6 people in our team, and the other two were a mother and daughter from Jilin and a student couple from Hubei. The couple arrived here in the morning. The desert We walked ten kilometers on foot, and I admire it. We were both exhausted just climbing to the top of the sandy slope. If we hiked, we would definitely be useless the next day.

Look at how hard it is for Daqiang to crawl, pouted his buttocks and grinned, haha

From time to time, surfing cars pass by, accompanied by: ah———

Photoshoot in the desert

The weather in the desert changed very quickly. In the afternoon, the sky was still clear, and the wind started to blow after 7 o'clock, and the sky was full of sand.

Soon the sky will be scary

Taking a random shot in the desert is like a big movie

Let’s take a look at Ding Daqiang’s classic four-shot series again.

Ha ha

jump up

Baji

In order to watch the sunset, the two of us climbed a very high sandy slope, and it was so steep that we had to use our hands and feet to climb up.

It's all worth it after climbing up

The sun is hidden in the thick clouds, waiting for the sunset

At almost eight o'clock, finally, the sun peeked out from the clouds

The blue sky that appeared in an instant quickly turned golden yellow

Sit here quietly watching the sunset, forget the unpleasant things in life, even if only for a moment

In just over ten minutes, the sun had completely set, and the desert was plunged into darkness.

Back at the campsite, we continued to barbecue and drink beer. There was originally a bonfire party, but the bonfire was lit several times without success.

A skewer chef from Harbin, haha

The mobile phone signal in our camp is very weak, and the telecommunications can still be received a little bit. There is basically no mobile service, and we have to climb a very high sandy slope to receive the signal, so we are isolated from the world all night.

The bonfire party failed, so the team leader took us to play Tiehua, which is a kind of steel wool firework, which is made of steel wool tied by iron chains. It is very dazzling when it is clicked and then thrown in circles.

Especially when shooting with the light painting mode of Huawei mobile phones, the effect is amazing, it is simply dreamy, it is really beautiful and explosive.

We used this powerful shooting function to write "LOVE" with the flashlight of the mobile phone. We each wrote two letters, and we couldn't make a mistake during the period. It was a perfect success the second time.

There are so many stars in the desert that it is unreal. The team leader said that the Milky Way can be seen when you look up here in July and August, and it will be several times more beautiful than it is now. It's a pity that our shooting equipment can't take pictures of the starry sky, so we can only keep this beauty in our memory.

I thought it would be very comfortable to lie in the desert, but I didn’t expect that it would be hard to lie down, just like sleeping on a hard bed all night, and there were only sleeping bags in the tent, no pillows, and I didn’t fall asleep until 2:30 in the morning after tossing and turning.

In addition, there is no running water here, and you can only simply wipe it for washing. Even when you go to the toilet, you have to solve it on the spot and then bury it, which is very primitive.

I was woken up by the loud voices outside at 5 o'clock in the morning. Everyone got up to watch the sunrise. We were so tired that neither of us got up to watch. Yesterday's sunset was actually perfect.

After a night of wind blowing, the sand slopes have become like this, and they are hard shells when stepped on.

tenacious little green plant

Today's weather is also super good, blue sky, white clouds, big desert, breakfast is bread + freshly boiled milk tea, return by desert surfing car around 10:30 noon, Passion 18 bends came, dived more than ten steep slopes in a row, scared everyone My voice is almost hoarse, which is very exciting.

At about 12:30, I returned to Zhongwei Hotel to pick up my luggage. I ate some dry noodles nearby.

At 14:34 in the afternoon, I took K886 back to Yinchuan. I was sleepy on the train and slept for several times. Arriving in Yinchuan at 16:47, Ding Daqiang insisted on going to Wanda to shop at Uniqlo. He walked around and didn’t buy anything. He had dinner on the third floor. There were siu mai, seafood porridge, sweet and sour pork, and cumin mutton. None of them were delicious. Yes, it tastes weird.

The DQ Blizzard I bought later was really delicious, with a lot of ingredients, including a lot of almonds and chocolate. Arriving at the hotel booked at Crescent Plaza at around 7:00 pm, the first thing I did was to take a shower. I spent the past two days in the desert with sand in my mouth. I couldn’t help feeling that it’s better to go back to modern life.

6.9 Tombs of Xixia Kings ~ Nanguan Mosque

After checking out in the morning, go to the Crescent Square downstairs and take the 8:00 scenic spot through train to the Xixia King's Tomb. Since the museum of the Xixia King's Tomb has been closed since December 2018, the ticket price is now half price of 34 yuan, but the battery car is still 20 yuan.

I heard from the on-board guide that a new museum with a larger scale was built 3 kilometers away from the current scenic spot because of the application for world cultural heritage, and it is expected to open at the end of June this year.

After entering the scenic spot, there are two Xixia characters on the left and right sides of the gate, which means: Dabai Gaoguo.

It is recommended that everyone watch a 10-episode documentary "Mysterious Xixia" before coming. This documentary tells the development process of Xixia from its rise to its demise, and fully demonstrates the political, economic, military, cultural, religious and other aspects of the Xixia Dynasty. Brilliant achievements and the latest results of Xixia research.

Since the Xixia Royal Mausoleum Scenic Area covers an area of more than 58 square kilometers, there are 9 emperor tombs and more than 200 burial tombs of princes and lords, so most of the tombs need to be visited by sightseeing bus. It takes about 10 minutes. The car guide will introduce each mausoleum separately.

Towering Helan Mountain

After the car tour, the guide of the scenic spot will lead everyone to the Art Museum of Xixia History and History, and tell the history of Xixia through scenes in the form of statues.

Xixia (1038-1227), the party leader Li Yuanhao founded the country and proclaimed himself emperor, the country was named Daxia, and the capital was Xingqingfu (now Yinchuan City, Ningxia). In its heyday, its territory included all of Ningxia, most of Gansu, northern Shaanxi, eastern Qinghai, and western Inner Mongolia. It was a regime established by party members in northwestern China in Chinese history. side by side. After ten emperors, he enjoyed the country for 189 years.

After the rise of Mongolia, Genghis Khan had to cut off the Jinxia alliance in order to attack the enemy country, the Jin Dynasty. Therefore, he always regarded Xixia as a thorn in his side and used it as a training ground, constantly sending troops to harass and train troops.

In the first year of Baoyi (1226), Genghis Khan divided his troops from east to west and attacked Xixia on the grounds that Xia Xianzong had not fulfilled the contract. This was the battle of Mongolia to destroy Xixia. In the second year of Baoyi (1227), Emperor Xia Late surrendered to Mongolia after being besieged in Zhongxing Mansion for half a year, and Western Xia died.

However, Genghis Khan died of illness on the way to conquer Xixia. After the Mongolian army captured the Zhongxing Mansion and carried out a massacre, the palace and cemetery were burned. After Chahan persuaded him to stop, but the Xixia people were almost massacred. It is also because of this that after the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty, no history was written for Xixia, so there is no history of Xixia in China's "Twenty-Four Histories".

This wooden movable type printing experience hall is very fun. You can choose your own combination of words, or you can choose pictures and patterns, and match them as you like.

After coming out of the movable type printing hall, we met an archery booth. We usually go to the archery booth to play. Daqiang insisted on trying this to see how it is different from what we usually play.

My grades are so-so, Daqiang basically missed a few shots, haha

Around 12:00, we walked to Mausoleum No. 3, which is currently the most well-preserved tomb. Although it is written about Yuan Hao’s tomb, the staff said that this is only the speculation of historians, and it is not completely certain. It is said that No. 1 and No. 2 tombs are the tombs of Yuan Hao's father and grandfather, but it is also just speculation.

The Xixia Mausoleum is backed by Helan Mountain and faces the direction of the Yellow River. Except for Mausoleum No. 3, which deviates by 150 degrees, the rest face south and are vertically rectangular.

The emperors and nobles of all dynasties hoped that the mausoleum would be grand and magnificent, but also hoped that it would not be excavated by robbers. The tall seals became an important barrier to prevent the excavation. The emperors of Xixia did not seem to be worried about this. Except that the entrance of the tomb passage was directly set in the hall of sacrifice, there was a fish spine sealing soil protruding from the ground between the hall of dedication and the mausoleum platform of the Xixia emperor's mausoleum, and the passage of the tomb was buried under the sealing soil , the super robber cave in front of the mausoleum is impressively visible.

The Mausoleum Pagoda was originally a circular pagoda with dense eaves, and its outer wooden structure supports a seven-level pagoda. The current shape of the loess mound is due to the damage of the original outer wooden structure and the wind and sun for more than 1,000 years, leaving only the interior. The rammed earth structure, and the height is only 21 meters left.

The pagoda-style mausoleum fully reflects the religious belief of Xixia who believes in Buddhism.

After visiting No. 3 Mausoleum, you can ride a bicycle to visit No. 1 and No. 2 Mausoleums, but the weather is too hot today, and people are about to collapse under the sun. At 12:30, we returned to the gate of the scenic spot by car.

It was still a long time before our return bus at 2:00 p.m., so Daqiang went to the visitor center to chat with the guides in the house. At first, he chatted with him alone, and then two or three people came out to chat with him , I was really convinced, he said that he wanted to ask some questions to pass those lecturers, but he didn’t expect them to answer all of them, haha

Let's finally take a photo with Xixia Wenwen

After returning to the urban area in the afternoon, we continued to walk on the beef noodles, looking at the large pieces of beef, and then thinking about the beef in the beef noodles in Harbin. There is a gap.

At around 16:30, I went back to the hotel to pick up my luggage and went to the airport bus stop of the Westport Aviation Hotel. I wanted to store my luggage at the Westport Hotel for a while so that we could go to the Nanguan Grand Mosque next to it, but this hotel does not allow storage For external luggage, the two of us can only go shopping with our luggage. Fortunately, the distance is close, and it takes only 5 minutes to walk there.

Tickets are 10 yuan, and you can only pay in cash. After entering the door, there is an exhibition hall with the names and distribution maps of major mosques across the country, including the Harbin Daowai Mosque and a model of Mecca.

The Nanguan Mosque was first built in the late Ming Dynasty and has a history of nearly 400 years. The rebuilt hall can accommodate more than 1,300 people for worship.

Islamic believers have five prayer times a day. According to the order in the picture, they are Bangbuda (morning prayer, the period from dawn to sunrise), and Bishi (sunshur, starting from one o'clock in the middle of the day to the shadow of the object) is longer than the object itself), Digail (Asr, the shadow of the object is longer than the object itself until sunset), Shamu (Twilight, from sunset to the sky is completely dark), Hufutan (Isha, it is dark until before dawn). Due to the difference of the sun throughout the year, the time of this week is also changing. In addition to these 5 prayers (which can be done at home), every Friday at around 12:50 p.m., Muslims have to pray collectively in the mosque, which is called "Jumah".

We just caught up with the worship of "Digail". First, a person wearing a white turban chanted outside the temple, and then entered the temple. Everyone lined up in a row facing the direction of the "Taba" in Mecca. . Only men are allowed to enter this hall, and female believers have another female temple to worship.

Visit for 1 hour, return to the boarding point and take the bus to the airport, take off at 20:30 and return to Harbin.

Ding Daqiang and I’s first trip to the desert has come to a successful conclusion. I believe we will go to Xinjiang, Taiwan, and every place in the world together in the near future.
