Travel BGM
In the past 2019, I have more travel memories.
The streets of the city, the clean island, the magical nature, the mouth-watering food...these memories are the gifts given to me by travel.
In my opinion, every memory has its own BGM.
So even after a long time, when the familiar melody sounds, I will instantly think of it, and think of every moment that touched my heartstrings.
This is an annual travel memory, as well as a private playlist, for everyone and for me in 2019.
Sydney "The Overlander"
On the plane to Australia, I ushered in my 2019.
It's summer at the start of a new year, and it's a pretty amazing experience. For a week, although I walked around Sydney every day, it made me very satisfied.
The iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge are everyday sights on this journey. And from day to night, shooting them from various angles has become one of the joys of this trip.
Take a boat to the nearby islands every day, or go to the beach to bask in the sun. Summer in Australia is full of enthusiasm and vitality, and the air is filled with freedom.
Before I went to Sydney, I had a hard time imagining that I was still interested in going to the zoo. But Taronga Zoo is so worth a visit, it is definitely a realistic version of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".
For example, I was lucky to see koalas who did not doze off, and all kinds of cute little guys.
In Australia, you can not only see animals in the zoo, but even places like the Royal Botanic Gardens have beautiful parrots flying around. Unexpectedly, it turns out that parrots are the flower pickers.
But my favorite place is the crowded Circular Quay.
This is a large transit station in Sydney, and it is also a talent show scene, where various street performers show their talents.
And most of them are singers.
I have heard too many good voices on the street, and the one that impressed me the most is the old man below. He hugged the guitar and played a catchy melody. The cheerfulness and lightness of country music instantly attracted me. After listening to it for five minutes, I couldn't help but take out the coins in my pocket to express my appreciation.
Later, relying on the few words I understood, I actually found this song. The song is called "The Overlander" (overlander can be translated as an immigrant or a foreigner). This song was born in the 1860s. At that time, it was the boom of immigration in Australia, so it was also the golden age of rapid development here. What the whole song describes is also the daily life of ordinary immigrants.
There is a very interesting lyrics in it that impressed me "As I pass along the roads, The children raise my dander, Crying: Mother dear, Taking in the clothes, Here comes the overlander", (When I pass along the roads, those children Make me angry, they cry "Mom, pack up your clothes, immigrants are coming") This song is full of an immigrant's banter about various realities, but with a zest for life and infinite vision for the future.
for tonight we drink the health of every overlander! No matter what the reality is, every immigrant who has devoted his youth to this land deserves to be respected.
A version of this song I found on YouTube was very close to what I heard live.
Guizhou "Blind Man"
In March, I went to Guizhou and started the first real self-driving trip in my life.
I grew up in Sichuan, so Guizhou has never been far to me. And it seems that the more this is the case, the less the urge to leave immediately. Fortunately, this year I finally went to several places that I have been familiar with since I was a child but have never been to.
Speaking of Guizhou, the first thing that comes to mind is "Roadside Picnic". The mountains are rolling and the air is humid. Reality and dreams are intertwined, farewell and welcome. There is an indescribable sadness in the poetic expression. Perhaps this is a kind of temperament that Guizhou itself has.
Later, I watched "The Unknown Man", and the episode "Blind Man" in it was very consistent with this temperament. Yao Shisan sang a kind of parting sorrow in Guizhou dialect, and the sorrow of ordinary people seems to have a kind of lonely despair.
Guizhou in March, although it has come to spring, most of the time still has the gloom of winter. In fact, this is the norm in Guizhou. More than two-thirds of the weather throughout the year is cloudy and rainy. It is the most vivid portrayal here. But it is precisely this uncertain Guizhou that has a special charm.
Qingdao "Spring"
During my trip to Guizhou, I went to Anshun to see cherry blossoms, but regrettably passed the best season. I thought I could only give up thinking about cherry blossoms, but I didn't expect to harvest a more brilliant spring.
In April, the grass has already grown in the south and the warblers are flying, while the spring in the north has just arrived. The bleakness of winter has faded away, and everything has become bright and gentle. And I realized that the spring in Qingdao is so strong.
During the few days when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, I wandered in parks, alleys and campuses, enjoying this rare spring, and never tired of it.
I like the state of mind sung by Jiang Xin's "Spring". There are always all kinds of sorrows and joys in life, so take it lightly and welcome the eternal spring.
Shikoku "Paprika"
Shikoku is the unexpected starting point of my trip to Japan.
This small place, which even the Japanese themselves have rarely been to, is my "gentle town".
Five years later, the old place revisited. It is as comfortable and peaceful as ever, and even gave me an urge to move here.
During the journey, we often hear a cheerful melody, which feels familiar but we don't know the source.
Until the nth time I heard it in a video store, my classmate Pengpeng finally found this song—"パプリカ" written and composed by Kenshi Yonezu.
Because it is the support song for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on NHK TV, it can be heard everywhere. Coincidentally, Kenshi Yonezu is actually from Tokushima, and because of the help of kind-hearted people in Tokushima, I am full of different feelings for this place, Aiwujiwu, and this melody makes me feel very cordial.
Tokyo "The End of the World"
I was also surprised that I have been to Tokyo for three consecutive years.
Just like the summary of a certain magazine - "Tokyo is Japan", yes, this is the most Japanese place, and it is also a place that can satisfy all imaginations about the city. It is colorful and pure, which fascinates me.
The memory of Tokyo comes from "Slam Dunk", a masterpiece that still makes my heart surge when I think of it. It let me know that not far from Tokyo, there is a Kanagawa Prefecture, where there are a group of basketball teenagers chasing their dreams.
The song "World が 结るまでは" (Until the end of the world) at the end of the film is mixed with too many emotions, hesitation, loneliness, and infinite longing for the future.
Maybe that’s how Tokyo feels.
There are countless movies and songs about Tokyo, and they all paint a picture of the city in my mind. Fortunately, I finally went to experience it for myself, the lonely and dazzling light of Tokyo Tower, the comfortable and comfortable slow time in Kamakura, the beautiful and clear outline of Mount Fuji...
On the train from the urban area to Narita Airport, I suddenly thought of "Hengdao Sennosuke", and the scene of that clear boy who came to Tokyo to study alone appeared in my mind. It's a whole new world full of endless possibilities.
Youth can never go back, I hope you go away for half your life, and you will still be a teenager when you come back.
Thank you, Tokyo!

Bangkok "Little Lover"
My favorite Thai movie is "Little Lover". It captures the endless beauty and regrets of childhood. It is definitely the kind of movie that can make people smile knowingly no matter how many times they watch it, but it also makes people sad.
Not only is the movie good-looking, but every original soundtrack in it is worth recommending to everyone.
During the few days of wandering around Bangkok this time, there were some little things everywhere.
This time is the most unforgettable summer memory of this year.
Philippines "Seasick Dream"
The most suitable thing to listen to on the beach in summer is Jack Johnson's songs.
Lazy, fresh, full of the breath of the sea.
I went to Palawan in September last year, and I couldn't forget the strange and clear water.
During this trip to the Philippines, I not only saw a more perfect cone than Mt. Fuji, but also became more certain that the sea made me "poisoned", like a seasick dream. It is an inextricable enjoyment.
Western Sichuan "Kangding Love Song"
In the autumn of this year, I left it for Chuanxi.
The illusory trip in autumn, not far away, gave me infinite freedom of mind.
Just like the well-known "Kangding Love Song", this is a land that can make people feel happy, and it is worth exploring repeatedly.
Hainan "Less than Hainan Island"
Coconut control I finally went to Hainan Island.
All hearsay is not as good as a personal experience. Qingbuliang, Coconut Chicken, Hainan Noodles, I was surprised to fall in love with the food here, and besides that, this is also a very interesting place.
Malaysian singer Huang Mingzhi's ancestral home is Hainan. He has a song called "Not to Hainan Island". Although there is no evidence for the car, this song can express my mood very well.
Southern Xinjiang "Why Are Flowers So Red"
The trip to southern Xinjiang that just ended in mid-December is the end of this year's trip.
The magnificent scenery along the way is dizzying and exciting.
The BGM in the car was one after the other, Pu Shu, Xu Wei, Zheng Jun, Li Jian, Oda Kazha... It seemed like a long concert for more than ten days.
I have known since I was a child that there is a movie called "Guest on the Iceberg", and the song "Why Are Flowers So Red" always hums a few lines. This trip to Southern Xinjiang is full of this song in my mind. Later, I made up the movie again. Even if I look at it now, it is a very special movie, and the songs in it are even more immersive.
"Why Are Flowers So Red", "Remembering Comrades", and "Snow Lotus on the Iceberg" contain the beauty of southern Xinjiang and the indelible longing.
Believe me, this place will definitely make you unable to extricate yourself, this is every traveler's paradise.
Leshan "Thinking"
George Bernard Shaw said that no love is more pious than the love of food.
As a foodie, I absolutely agree with this statement. At the end of the year, I made a special trip to Leshan for the important thing of "eating".
This is an extremely delicious city, and the temptation of food is all over the streets and alleys. During the 24 hours in Leshan, there was a sense of relaxation that was instantly healed.
This is the "late night canteen" in my heart, a paradise that fills me with happiness whenever I think of it.
Chengdu "South"
Before I left Chengdu, I listened to Dada's "South" and imagined what the north would look like in my mind.
Six years after I left Chengdu, when I listened to "Southern" again, I remembered the old days, and burst into tears inadvertently.
The ancients said, "Don't enter Sichuan when you are young", because this comfortable place can kill your fighting spirit, and in my opinion, it is also terrible to leave Sichuan when you are young, because you will miss this place crazily, but it seems that you will never go back. .
Now, as a passer-by, the days in Chengdu are passing by in a hurry, but I miss it very much.
BGM of life
The same song, listening to different ages will have different feelings. Sometimes, I will suddenly get high while listening to the song, and sometimes, I will suddenly cry while listening to the song. The road of life is also ups and downs, there are always joys and sorrows.
A few days ago, I was chatting with a good friend who I have known for many years. She encountered some troubles recently. I comforted her to look forward no matter what, and everything will pass.
Traveling, listening to music, reading... Do something you like, everyone always needs to find a way to get "peace" in the heart, which in my opinion is a state more worth pursuing than happiness.
The BGM of life is written by myself.
Thank you for my 2019, and thank you for your company and encouragement this year, I love you all!
