Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province is located in the south of Yunnan, connected to Kunming in the north, bordered on Vietnam in the south, and Wenshan in the east. There are three cities, ten counties, Yuanshan, Gejiu, and Mengzi City. Mengzi is the state capital of Honghe Prefecture, which occupies one-tenth of the land area of Yunnan Province. Honghe Prefecture is rich in mineral resources, and [Gejiu City] has the largest tin deposits in the world. "Red River" smoke has a certain reputation in China. [Yuanyang Terraced Fields Scenic Spot] is located in Yuanyang County, Honghe Prefecture. The terraced fields have a history of more than 1,300 years of hard work and rice cultivation. In 2010, the rice terrace system was officially listed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as a pilot project for the protection of globally important agricultural cultural heritage. On the way back to Kunming, I had lunch in Gejiu City. When I saw the road signs of Gejiu City from a distance, I immediately remembered the scene of my solo trip to Yuanyang Terraced Fields, and finally put it on hold in [Gejiu City].
