Pekutso should be a niche attraction on the Tibet tourism line. Since there are no iconic landscapes around, the Lhasa Nyingchi Line, the Lhasa Na Curve, the Lhasa Everest Line, and the Ngari South-North Line did not take it. Pekutso is located in Shigatse City At the junction of Jilong County and Nyalam County, only the way to Jilong can pass through this lake. In fact, Peiku Co is the largest inland lake in the Mount Everest Reserve, covering an area of 300 square kilometers, surrounded by mountains on three sides, and surrounded by open wetland grasslands. It is said that there are wild horses, Tibetan wild donkeys, Tibetan antelopes, cranes, yellow ducks, Gray Duck etc. The important thing is that you can see the reflection of Shishapangma's snow-capped mountains.

When you come out of Gangga and follow National Highway 219 to the junction of Nyalam County and Jilong County, there is a small road that turns right and goes north. The navigation should be an unnamed road, passing through a wetland grassland, and you can see the golden autumn grassland.

Drive the car to the middle to play with the Tibetans. The herdsmen are plucking grass and preparing fodder for overwintering livestock. They like to chat with you when they are tired. The substandard Mandarin is very interesting.

Then walk along the mountain road on the shore of the lake for a while to the northeast of the lake. From the map, Pekucuo looks like a gourd. It is not sure how far this road can go. The lake is around for a week. Anyway, there are very few tourists on the road. The big lake is quiet and the lakeside scenery is beautiful.

This location faces the Himalayas, the Shishapangma Snow Mountain is the closest, and the grassland, lakes, and snow-capped mountains come into one picture, which should be the most beautiful angle of Pekutso. I heard that there are fish in the lake.

The lake water changes from blue to green, like a plateau mirror. When there is no wind, you can see the reflection of Mount Shishapangma. Compared with Namtso, Manasarovar, Selin Co, and Yamdrok Lake, Pekutso is not very famous. Fortunately, with the reflection of Xishapangma Peak and the sound of the Yarlung Zangbo River on the north side of the lake, there is a place for people to enjoy. People are moved and reasons to stop.

Some small late-maturing highland barley fields on the shore of the lake, herdsmen harvest and rest, and sit with them on the shore to look at the colorful lake and Xishapangma Snow Mountain. Perhaps this is the most beautiful autumn harvest on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Returning to National Highway 219, there is another small road, which passes through the closer lake shore and walks against the snow-capped mountains. It is getting closer and closer, like crossing the wilderness. Although the road is rugged, it is very challenging.

You can also see the lake from different angles along the way.

National Highway 219 passes between Xishapangma Peak and Pekutso. Although there are shops and toilets on the viewing platform, it is far away from the lake. The snow-capped mountains are opposite to the lake. You can’t see the snow-capped mountains when you look at the lake. You can't see the lake, let alone the reflection of the snow-capped mountains.
