★Travel location: Huajiang Grand Canyon, Anshun, Guizhou
One of my main destinations this time is Guanling. There are quite a lot of shuttle buses from Huangguoshu to Guanling, and the distance between the two places is not too far. However, when we got out of the station and asked about the shuttle bus to the Huajiang Grand Canyon, the staff at the passenger station and the tourist distribution center said that there was no direct shuttle bus. Generally, tourists have two options to go to the Grand Canyon. If you are in a hurry, you can go directly from the passenger station. Take a taxi, if you are not in a hurry, you can take the shuttle bus to Huajiang Town and then take a taxi, or stop a passing car when you reach the town, and you can pass the intersection of the Grand Canyon.
Although we are not in a hurry, if we take the shuttle bus, we will have to stay in Huajiang Town for one night. It is said that the accommodation conditions in the town are not very good. Although it is not the tourist season, we still have to consider the risk of not being able to find a hotel. In order to be able to rush back to Guanling, we still had the luxury of taking a taxi. After getting in the car and inquiring with the driver, I found out that the Huajiang River is also very prosperous, and there is also the famous Huajiang dog meat. We were a little dumbfounded, and we wanted to stay in Huajiang for one night, but we left our luggage in Guanling...
"It doesn't matter, Guanling also has Huajiang dog meat, you can eat it." The driver smiled and comforted, "The hotel in Guanling needs to be newer, and the conditions are definitely not as good as those in Guanling."
The Huajiang Grand Canyon is located in the Beipan River Basin between Guanling County, Xingren County and Zhenfeng County. It is said to be the most famous tourist attraction in Guanling. There is no shuttle bus from the passenger station to the scenic spot, which is probably not so convenient. The traffic may make many tourists regret to give up. After all, apart from the Huajiang River, other tourist attractions in Guanling are really lackluster. Therefore, even though it is only about 30 kilometers away from Huangguoshu, where almost every tourist will come to check in, tourists still rarely choose to go to the Huajiang River. It can only be said that the Huajiang Grand Canyon is relatively relatively unremarkable.
The canyon is very long, claiming to be 80 kilometers long, and it is the longest canyon in China. There are probably too many "China's Most" in Guizhou, so the Huajiang Grand Canyon is not well-known. The width of the canyon is about three kilometers, with a total area of three hundred kilometers. The main peak is 1850 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is only 370 meters above sea level. Its characteristics are "majestic, grand, steep and mysterious". Of course, we can't understand the so-called mystery. It is estimated that the scientific exploration team can appreciate a thing or two.
The cliffs on both sides of the canyon are towering, and the peaks and ridges on the cliffs are endless. The blue-gray rocks are exposed outside, and the jagged rocks present various shapes. The Grand Canyon has not been artificially developed and repaired too much, and it still looks quite rough and primitive. Perhaps, it is precisely because the transportation is not so convenient that it maintains its original style, which is the charm of the Huajiang Grand Canyon.
Circling along the Panshan Highway into the mountain, you can see some villages, which are not too large in scale, like embellishments of lofty mountains. The land is not too big, but the crops seem to be growing quite gratifyingly. It seems that Guizhou people are still very hardworking. These lands were reclaimed between rock crevices, and some fields were quite far from the village. Maybe the local residents want to plant a field or something, and spend a lot of time on the road back and forth. It is because there are many rocks in the mountains here, and there are too few lands suitable for planting crops. Even if the road looks a bit far away, a piece of land must be cultivated. It will be much more convenient now that there is a highway, otherwise, I would have to cross mountains and ridges to go shopping once. For Guizhou people who are used to walking on mountain roads, this road is not too far away.
The bridge deck of the Beipanjiang Bridge is more than 400 meters high to the south of the Yangtze River. The bridge in Guizhou is very spectacular because it is very high and spans two hills, which is completely different from the small bridges in the south of the Yangtze River. It is said that in the list of the world's highest bridges, Guizhou has 51 bridges on the list, which shows how steep the terrain is. The driver said that this bridge is only one of the Beipanjiang Bridges, and there are actually seven bridges called Beipanjiang Bridge in the surrounding area, which shows the length of the river and the feelings of Guizhou people towards Beipanjiang. Just like the Yangtze River Bridge, whether it is Wuhan, Nanjing, or even Jiangyin, it is called the Yangtze River Bridge
Entering from the gate of the scenic spot, you can walk down the canyon along the trail on the edge of the cliff. The trail is relatively steep, and it is about two hundred meters down the road. There are two routes to get to the bottom of the valley, take a boat to visit the downstream direction, or walk to the upstream direction. The cruise ship can return in about an hour, but the boat will not sail until it is full. Today doesn't look like a boatload of people can be filled in a short period of time. We calculated the time and decisively gave up the plan of taking a boat tour.
I don't know if the so-called "Huajiang" refers to the Beipan River. In fact, from the edge of the canyon, you can also see the magnificent scene of the surging river going forward. Because of being washed by water, the rocks on the river bank lose their sharp edges and corners, and each piece looks smooth and delicate, as if it is a work of art that has been carefully cared for.
It is difficult to cool off the summer with lush forests and bamboos, and the Youjiang canyon in Guanling is long.
The scenery is beautiful, and the fragrance of grass and flowers on the ancient road.
