Nature gave birth to Huangguoshu, and also gave birth to Victoria Falls in Africa, Niagara Falls in North America, and Angel Falls in Venezuela. In terms of its scale, even if Huangguoshu dominates Asia, it is still bigger than the waterfalls in Africa and America. slightly inferior. But it is located in the karst area and has its own unique place, which is the famous "Shuilian Cave" both at home and abroad. This is also the place where tourists will definitely come to check in when they come to Huangguoshu. It is already crowded with people just after turning around the small road. It is not an exaggeration to describe it as shoulder to shoulder.

Following the flow of people, we finally found a recessed space, and we took out our raincoats and put them on. Because of the water curtain hole, Huangguoshu has become the only waterfall in the world that can be viewed and appreciated from six angles: up, down, left, right, front and back. The hole runs through the entire length of the waist, so this waterfall can not only be seen , can hear, and can touch from the hole.

In fact, Wu Chengen has never been to Huangguoshu. He wrote in the book: "It turns out that the Water Curtain Cave was originally a waterfall and flying springs. The cave doors are hung all over. It looks like a white curtain from a distance, but it is a vein of water from a close look. So it’s called Water Curtain Cave.” The Water Curtain Cave in the book is far less magnificent, if Wu Chengen had seen Huangguoshu with his own eyes, his description might be more vivid.

As for the mountain where the Water Curtain Cave is located, it is named Huaguo Mountain. To say that Monkey King passed through the curtain, the martial arts really need to be quite high-strength, after all, the water flow of this waterfall is not so fast!

The position of the first hole window is the lowest, only 40 meters away from the water surface of Rhinoceros Lake, but the hole window is very wide, more than ten meters wide, in the middle of the first section and the second section of the waterfall. Today's water volume is very large, and the two waterfalls form a water curtain. The outside of the cave window is full of water waterfalls, splashing jade and flying beads, and the momentum is majestic.

The waterfall falls in a hurry from above, and you chase each other and fall into the pool below. From the window hole, we saw a curtain made of water, dense and delicate. There was a booming sound next to their ears. If two people wanted to say a few words, they had to roar to let the other party hear them.

The second hole window is next to the first hole window, so it is relatively quiet, although the sound of the waterfall is actually quite loud. Here is called the Crystal Palace, 11 meters long, 9 meters high, and 3 meters wide. There are many stalactites on the top of the cave, which are marked with colorful lights. Although Shuilian Cave is also a karst cave, its most outstanding feature is not the beautiful stone mantle stalagmites, but the waterfalls that can be seen in the cave.

The third hole protrudes outward, like a balcony, 1 meter high and 3 meters long, surrounded by guardrails outside, and you can touch the waterfall with your hands, so it is also called "touching the waterfall".

A few aunts probably traveled together, and they were very dissatisfied with other tourists blocking their shots, and complained that tourists should not pass outside. Although it may be their long-cherished wish to take a photo with the waterfall, who among the Ruzhi tourists would not want to have a closer contact with the waterfall? Maybe they didn't even think that when other tourists blocked their shots, why didn't they block other people's shots of the Great Falls? Therefore, some tourists complained: "A scenic spot with such a large flow of tourists still wants to make a big movie that is empty and empty?" But fortunately, everyone can understand that the aunts deliberately dress up and want to take a photo with the waterfall. In my heart, I still try to get out of their camera as much as possible.

With the flow of people out of the water curtain cave, it is still amazing to see the waterfall from the outside. Perhaps the drop is not too high, but the width undoubtedly makes up for this deficiency. In addition, having just had the closest contact with the waterfall, the rumbling sound seemed to be beating on the heart like a drumbeat.

The reason for the formation of Huangguoshu is due to the erosion of water flow in the karst area. When the source-tracing erosion crack point reaches the upstream, the river water scours and dissolves along the karst fissures, and the pipeline gradually expands. At the hole, a sinkhole-style waterfall is formed. However, under the condition of intensified water scouring and collapse, the underground river caves became larger and larger, and clusters of shafts and skylights were developed along the dry valleys on the surface. After continuous expansion and collapse, the Huangguoshu Waterfall and the steep canyon downstream were formed as we see today. The canyon is a little far away, and what keeps us lingering is the miracle of nature in front of us.

The waterfall falls into the rhinoceros pool with great momentum, and gradually calms down in the downstream. The water meanders across the river bed, then passes through two waterfalls with a small drop, and flows down slowly.

Looking back at the waterfall from a little further away, it still makes people feel thrilling. The steam evaporated, forming a thin mist on the rhino pool.

There is a wooden bridge over the river, with two bronze drums at the head of the bridge, the diameter of which is higher than a person, like two dedicated guards lined up on both sides of the bridge.

Crossing the bridge leads to Rhino Pond. According to legend, there used to be a rhino coming out of the water and landing here, hence the name. According to legend, in ancient times, clouds of five colors rose on the lake, zhicao grew, and the rhinoceros traveled. Sun Kewang described in "Wangshui Pavilion" that he saw the scene of the god rhinoceros swimming in the tide with his own eyes. I don't know if it's because his imagination is too rich, or there are some books for reference. Later, there were some strange versions, which said that the pay officer once threw hundreds of thousands of pay silver into the rhinoceros pool at a critical moment, and when Wu Sangui was defeated, he threw the silver box into the pool. In short, it means that there are treasures in the rhino pool.

"Rainbow!" When we walked to the rhinoceros pool, we saw the disappearing rainbow again. What kind of god's luck is this? I blinked a bit, unable to believe my luck. It turned out that I was somewhat regretful about the "flash in the pan" of the rainbow. I didn't expect that God gave me such a big surprise when I came back from the water curtain cave!

"This luck is really no one..." I muttered to myself, looking at the gorgeous Rainbow Bridge greedily. It is said that rainbows often appear in Rhinoceros Lake, but it is estimated that there is little luck like ours having two rainbows this time, right? The first time seemed to be a welcome, and the second time seemed to be a farewell. Isn't this big waterfall too sentimental?

This time the rainbow lasted for at least ten minutes, which made us full. Speaking of this rainbow, it really adds a lot of color to the waterfall. Although the original waterfall is majestic and majestic, it is still monotonous in terms of color tone. The waterfall is white, and the surrounding lush forest is green. Although the color combination is quite beautiful, adding a rainbow immediately transforms the fresh and refined style into gorgeous and gorgeous.

There is a couplet on the waterfall viewing pavilion opposite the waterfall: "White water is like cotton, you don't need a bow to scatter flowers; "White water is like cotton", and "red clouds are like brocade". Although the red glow people say may refer to the sunset glow...

There are six waterfall viewing platforms in Huangguoshu. The second and third waterfall viewing platforms have the best viewing angles, and you can see the whole picture of the waterfall. Of course, no matter from which angle you look at the Great Falls, it is quite beautiful, and it can be described as a beauty of 360 degrees without dead ends.

Reluctantly leaving the waterfall, I looked up at the statue of Xu Xiake at the door. As a native of Jiangyin, I am quite proud that this great geographer of the Ming Dynasty can appear at the gate of the Great Waterfall.
