When traveling, a coffee shop is a place to slow down. Whether you are tired or raining, all you need is a small table and a cup of coffee. This is not only a reason to waste time, but also an excuse to observe passers-by in other countries. There is a small cafe in my community, I like the feeling of sitting in it, watching the people coming and going, and taking pictures of the cats in the cafe. Every time the kitten jumped onto the bar and took pictures of it, it reminded me of the day when I was hiding from the rain in Taiwan and stumbled into a cat cafe by mistake.

At that time, we were traveling around the island of Taiwan, and unfortunately encountered a typhoon. When we arrived in Taichung City, we couldn't go to the countryside to see the scenery, so we wandered aimlessly in the urban area. When I walked to the Science Museum in the West District of Taichung City, it was raining again. I wanted to hide in the nearby "McDangdang" for a fast food and a cup of coffee, but I wanted to find a place with local characteristics in Taiwan. I searched it with a map and found it. There is a "Gulu cat coffee" not far away, so I decided to go in and have a look.

The interior decoration of the store is very simple. The counter on the first floor is full of coffee beans, pastries, and cat ornaments. It is a young petty bourgeoisie. The young female clerk asked us what we would like to drink. Looking at the water bill, the price is not cheap, so I hesitated, but saw the local newspaper clippings on the wall, and there was a news about his three-dimensional cat latte art, so I wanted to try the Paula cat coffee in the town store.

At the entrance of the steps on the first floor, there is a small door half the height of a person, in order to stop the cat from running away. Going up to the third floor, there are two rows of sofas in the middle room. The back of the sofa is a cat bow, and the cushion on the sofa is also in the shape of a cat. The books on the bookshelf are all related to cats, about raising cats, identifying cat breeds, cat care, and more. I entered a cat-themed cafe.

Next to the cat cushion on the sofa, there is a brown cat sleeping. Its chubby face is pressed against the red sofa, like a sleeping baby, which makes people unable to bear to wake it up. Taking a look at the room, the color tone and layout are more like a place for young people to date, which is not my favorite tone, but if you come here, you can take it easy, not to mention there are cute cats to take photos, stroll around waiting for coffee and lunch sets.

There are several rooms in the cafe, almost all of which are cats. The decoration of the rooms highlights the theme of cats. Even at the stairs, there are cartoon cat dolls, which makes people feel that cats are everywhere. There are several local Taiwanese Young people, holding coffee, surrounded by cats, are also petting cats.

Some cats are very well-behaved, allowing people to take pictures and pet them, seemingly enjoying themselves. This one is like a "crazy man", seeing people alive and kicking, likes to play with people, staring big eyes, can melt your heart, but I don't know why, I always feel a faint melancholy. It is trapped in a prison, unable to wander around freely, is it lonely or sad?

Many cats always keep their eyes closed. No matter how you tease them, even stroking their fleshy cheeks and stroking their whiskers, they just ignore you and doze off. A cat is a very spiritual animal. It is likely that the person who "loves" it will be too exhausted, or it will be hurt by an ignorant person taking a photo with a flash, leaving a psychological shadow, and silently resisting in an uncooperative way?

Others simply went to sleep, as if not looking for me. A cat with unusual patterns, like another breed, I wanted to take a picture of it from the front, but it just ignored people. On the small plank bed, he curled his body directly, bent like a shrimp, like a brat who had been beaten, sobbing while covering his face.

Some cats are very active and never rest for a while, so there is no chance for people to take pictures. A cat seemed to be in a gym, shaking on a toy for a while, straightening its body for a while, lying on the "fitness equipment" with its two front paws, and doing a few waist-pressing movements. Still those quiet kittens are the best to take pictures, staring at a place without blinking, as if they are "little Madou" for people to take pictures of.

The room on the second floor is relatively bright, and there are no cats. A super big cartoon cat doll is placed in the center, which becomes a "horse riding" toy for children. It may be arranged for those who don't like cats or are allergic to cats. There is a circle of tables similar to bar counters, with glass windows facing outwards, allowing you to see the scenery outside. If you don’t want to pet cats, you can order a cup of coffee with three-dimensional cats, just to taste the coffee and appreciate the three-dimensional latte art.

Petting cats is very healing. It is easy to forget troubles and time. The coffee and set meals were served sooner than expected. When I heard that there are many customers, I may have to wait for 40 minutes. I ordered two servings of pasta for fast food. I ate seafood pasta. The pasta was covered with sea prawns, sixties and salad dressing, and topped with a cauliflower. The presentation was exquisite. The method and taste of the seafood pasta are more Western-style, and it still tastes a bit sweet like Taiwanese food.

Ordered two cups of coffee with three-dimensional cat latte art, one is a single cat, the kitten holding a red heart is lying on the coffee cup, the other is a double cat, it is two kittens hugging each other, as if soaking in a coffee cup Like a bath. Different types of coffee have different prices, and the more cats there are, the more expensive the coffee will be. The most expensive is the latte art coffee with three three-dimensional cats. At that time, it cost NT$240, equivalent to RMB 50 or 60. money. The moment the clerk served the coffee, I was still amazed. The three-dimensional garland makes the cat come alive, the cup shakes lightly, and the cat will shake on the coffee.

When I took the camera to freeze this cartoon picture, the details of the three-dimensional latte art cat on the coffee cup appeared vividly on the screen. Creamy white milk foam is made from fresh milk, and it is shaped into a cat shape. Cocoa powder and matcha powder are used to draw patterns such as eyes, mouth, cat paws, cat ears and tail on the milk foam. I have seen many exquisite two-dimensional latte art on coffee, but this is the first time I have seen three-dimensional latte art. No wonder people have to wait for a long time.

There are 50 kinds of coffee in the store, but the most eye-catching ones are "Geisha Coffee" and "Civet Cat Coffee". Geisha coffee is recognized as one of the best coffee beans. It is native to the "Gesha" forest in Ethiopia. "Coffee" is pronounced the same as the Japanese geisha "Geisha", so it is commonly known as "Geisha coffee".

Civet cat coffee is what we often call "cat poop coffee". When traveling to Java Island, Indonesia, I heard that civet cats in the local botanical garden like to eat coffee cherries, and then pull out the coffee beans because they have passed through the cat's stomach. The coffee beans are slightly fermented, and the ground coffee has a unique taste. Because I was thinking about the three-dimensional latte art cat coffee, I didn't order these two high-end coffees.

When I paid the bill and left, I saw a girl wearing a cat ear headdress at the counter. I said I wanted to take a photo, and she readily agreed. When I walked to the gate, I asked me to take a photo. I didn't have time to compare it with the photo in the newspaper. I wasn't sure if it was the boss himself. According to the newspaper, the owner of the store is a girl who likes to keep cats, and later opened a cat-themed coffee shop, named after her cat "Gulu".

When I was leaving, I only photographed a white fold-eared cat. Could it be the cat store manager named "Gulu"? It's just that there were too many people, it ran fast, and it didn't take a good shot. Gulu Cat Cafe also has cat-shaped Totoro cakes, cat paw cakes and some small cakes. On the cake made of vanilla whipped cream, cat claws are made of chocolate, and pictures of "Gulu" are printed on edible paper. . The production is really ingenious, but we have to continue on our way to the "Lukang Town" sung in Luo Dayou's song, so there is no customization.

During the journey, I have seen countless characteristic coffee shops, the coffee house on the Dagu Glacier, Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, the street cafe in Turin, the coffee on the floating platform of the Great Barrier Reef, the coffee bar in Goreme Cave Hotel, and the coffee bar on the top of Kinosaki Mountain. Coffee house, Hard Rock Coffee in Saipan... For some reason, this small coffee shop makes people linger. The cute kitten in the sofa seems to be posing for me, and it seems to be out of sight. ,what are you thinking about?
