Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the key attraction of our trip. Although the tickets are very expensive, it is the first time for everyone to visit Lijiang, so it is a pity not to go.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the sacred mountain in the hearts of Naxi people. Its main peak, Fanzi, is 5,596 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by clouds and mists all the year round. It is an unconquered virgin peak. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is composed of 12 snow peaks. The alpine snow landscape is located above 4000 meters above sea level. The snow mountain is rich in natural tourism resources. The scenic spots include Yushui Village, Glacier Park, Blue Moon Valley and other scenic spots. Every morning, there will be a large-scale live performance of "Impression·Lijiang" on the Blue Moon Valley Square in the Snow Mountain Ganhaizi Scenic Area.

After buying the tickets, continue along Yuquan Road for about 15 kilometers, and you will come to an entrance that looks like a toll booth. This is the entrance to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Scenic Area. All vehicles entering the scenic area need to queue up here for ticket inspection. Remember to bring the ancient maintenance fee receipt here, if you forget it, you have to buy it again or go back to pick it up.

Entering the scenic spot, start a section of rising road. The scenery along the way is still good. You can see the wonders of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the canyon on one side. Unfortunately, the road is narrow and there is no viewing platform, so it is impossible to stop and take pictures.

When the vehicle climbs up the hillside, it is a wide and flat prairie with a very good view and beautiful scenery. This is the Ganhaizi Scenic Area. Park the car in the Ganhaizi parking lot, take the scenic bus to the tourist service center, and prepare to queue up to take the bus to Glacier Park.

What I want to mention here is that when we arrived at the Ganhaizi Visitor Center, we consulted the front desk staff, explaining that we are the cable car at ten o'clock, where do we need to take the car? The staff pointed to the ticket gate on the side, and told us flatly that it was there, and asked us to come back to check the tickets at ten o'clock. At this time, it was still ten minutes before ten o'clock, and we were naively waiting at the gate, but the staff didn't even remind us to queue up. By the time we realized it, the queue at the ticket gate was already long! Just one sentence, it can be seen how weak the staff's service awareness is!

"Glacier Park"

However, the scenery on the cableway is still good. At the beginning, it is a barren mountain like Gobi, and then there are dots of white snow on the mountain, and the top of the mountain is full of white. The temperature on the top of the mountain is very low, and the wind is very strong. I brought a jacket, but the lower body was very thin. Fortunately, there was a scarf to block the wind, otherwise I would really freeze to death. There are long down jackets for rent at the place where the cableway is taken, but in fact, it is not necessary to wear enough clothes, it depends on the individual situation. But no matter what season you go, keep warm! !

After arriving at an altitude of 4506 meters, you will enter the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Glacier Park from the upper station of the cableway. You must walk along the wooden plank road, and you will climb the mountain step by step for the rest of the journey. Due to the high altitude, the action should not be too intense. The scenery on the snow-capped mountains is really beautiful. You can enjoy the forest of seracs and modern glaciers on the side of the plank road. It feels like you are standing on the clouds, but the air is really thin. It is not so strenuous to go up the stairs, but every step on the snow-capped mountains consumes energy. A lot of energy. Under normal circumstances, after walking about ten steps, you need to stop or sit down to inhale oxygen, drink saliva, eat some chocolate, and relieve yourself. Of course, I've also seen a lot of strong people who didn't even turn on the oxygen cylinder, but most people still need to rest.

The down jacket worn in advance at the foot of the mountain will feel hot and heavy during the climb, and many people will take it off. In fact, as long as there is no snow on the snow mountain or even the sun is out, it will not be cold even if you wear a skirt. In fact, there is a free oxygen inhalation room in the tourist service center of the upper cableway. If tourists suddenly suffer a high reaction on the mountain, they can perform simple first aid here, but the gate is usually closed.

Blue Moon Valley

After taking the "nude photo", turn back from here, take the big cableway down the mountain, and then take the bus directly to the Blue Moon Valley. If you have enough time, you can continue to visit Maoniuping and Yunshanping and other scenic spots. But Maoniuping and Yunshanping are both on the mountainside, with a relatively wide view, and they are also places to take panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, but they also need to take the cableway. Personally, I think it is enough to go shopping in Blue Moon Valley, and there is no need to waste money.

The ice and snow of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain melted into a river passing through a valley at the foot of the Snow Mountain, because the moon reflected in the blue lake against the blue sky, and because of the blue moon in "The Lost Horizon" written by the British writer James Hilton. The valley is similar to this. Hence the name "Blue Moon Valley".

The river in the Blue Moon Valley was blocked by mountains during its flow, forming four large water surfaces, known as "Yuye" Lake, "Jingtan" Lake, "Blue Moon" Lake and "Tingtao" Lake.

People who have been to Jiuzhaigou must think that it is the most beautiful water scene in the world. But when I came to Blue Moon Valley, I found that the water here is so similar to the water in Jiuzhaigou. The vegetation around the lake is luxuriant, and the snow peaks are in the background. The water of the lake is transparent blue, and in the almost frozen azure blue, a little green is dotted in it. Looking around in the center of the lake, white clouds float across the mountains and reflect on the lake, like a dreamy shadow, suspected to be a fairyland.

We were all attracted by the charming scenery of Blue Moon Valley, and we almost forgot the time. We must know that everyone has not eaten at noon, and we have to rush back to Shuhe Ancient Town to watch the sunset. So I hurriedly left Blue Moon Valley, took a bus and returned to Ganhaizi parking lot, ended the trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and drove back to Shuhe Ancient Town.
