In the first four episodes of "Driving the Car on the Fifth Ring Road", I went to fun and exciting sports venues. Every day ends in sweat and exhaustion.

In this issue, we will wear beautiful skirts and be an elegant literary girl.

Today, we are going to a good place that combines appearance and connotation - Beijing Red Brick Contemporary Art Museum. Go and accept the influence of art well.

Appearance articles:

Although the Red Brick Art Museum was officially opened to the public in 2014, its reputation is not small. I believe this is definitely related to its unique architectural style. After all, art galleries must be beautiful enough.

The entire art gallery uses red bricks as the basic elements, together with blue bricks, green plants, small bridges, and flowing water, to create a beautiful contemporary landscape courtyard.

The current Red Brick Art Museum can definitely be included in the check-in place of the imperial capital. In addition to those who came to see the exhibition, many people also came here to take pictures. I think this is also very good, anyway, the art museum is to improve everyone's aesthetics.

The sunken atrium at the entrance is regularly replaced with art installations. On the day we went, there were two towering birdcages, the appearance of which imitated the Shanghai World Financial Center and Beijing International Trade Center Phase III.

The outdoor courtyard of the Red Brick Art Museum is like a maze, simple and natural, beautiful and dreamy.

There are narrow and secluded secret passages;

There are ponds with black swans;

There are criss-cross stone steps;

There is also a circular arched corridor that seems to be able to travel through time and space...

Everywhere is the birthplace of a blockbuster.

Connotation articles:

After talking about the beautiful appearance, of course, the art exhibition in the venue cannot be ignored. There are permanent collections of works in the Red Brick Art Museum, as well as art exhibitions that change from time to time.

What we visited this time was the "Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands" that had just been launched. Works, see the picture below:

In the exhibition hall, there are three huge multi-layered round wheel-shaped art installations, each layer has many hands, each holding or holding different objects. This object covers ancient and modern China and foreign countries, from feather dusters to mice, from magic tools to garlic. As for what the author, Mr. Huang Yongping, wants to express, I believe you can understand it only after you appreciate it yourself.

Like most people, I have no research on contemporary art and am a layman. I have always felt that being able to resonate with artists or works of art is a kind of fate. So, don't force it if you don't understand it.

I would suggest that you get an introduction before visiting the exhibition. Find out what the artist wants to express, maybe you can enter his world.

There were some works in the exhibition area that made me feel depressed, so I hurriedly skipped them.

There are also some that I really like, such as "Sound Galaxy". Composed of 27 polyhedrons, mirrors, stainless steel and halogen lamps are used to create an intricate world of light and shadow. What you see from every angle is a different "sound galaxy".

For example, Resonators of Tomorrow. Before that, I didn't know that a piece of colored filter glass could create such a solid color effect. Of course, the author Olafur Eliasson may not have intended to express this. But it doesn't matter, every visitor has the right to have a different opinion, right?

Another example is "Yellow Sun". Half of the "sun" hangs under the mirror ceiling, forming a complete circle with the reflection. All of them lose their color when they come in, becoming a drab yellow-gray. If you don't mind, lie on the floor and look at yourself in the ceiling mirror. Looking at yourself from another angle may inspire different understandings.

There are many exhibits in the Red Brick Art Museum. If you want to visit them in detail, it may take a whole day.

In the quiet and hot summer, it is better to take a journey of self-cultivation and find the works of art that are destined for you.
