Foreword:

In November 2014, I accompanied my parents to participate in an eight-day gourmet tour around the island in Taiwan. It felt good, and I praised the service awareness and level of the Taiwanese people! So when I made a 2016 travel plan, I decided to accompany Mrs. Wu and Eason on a free trip to Taiwan. . Most group tours go around the island counterclockwise. If you travel independently, considering the typhoon in July, I decided to go around the island clockwise. I first visited the east coast that may encounter a typhoon. It turned out that the decision was correct.

Early preparation:

Handle passports, Taiwan entry permits (Ctrip agency), air tickets and hotel reservations, EasyCard purchases, Taipei National Palace Museum parent-child tours and Chinese tour reservations, overnight reservations for aquariums, Hualien-Kenting section chartered cars and carpool partner recruitment.

DAY01 Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall + Taipei 101

HO1309 01JUL Pudong-Taoyuan morning flight

This time, I chose Juneyao Airlines, a domestic airline company, and ordered Eason's children's meal in advance, which is an interesting pig's head bean paste bun.

After arriving in Taoyuan, enter the customs normally, buy a phone card, and send it to San Want Hotel by special car. After CHECK-IN, I went out and took the MRT to the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. The Easy Card purchased in advance can be used directly. Under the porch of the memorial hall, there are always teenagers practicing hip-hop, and everyone enjoys this process very much. Think about the pitifully little time for outdoor activities of domestic children. .

In the corridor in front of the memorial hall, it is good to take commemorative photos of the background of 101. The laughter and the sound of shutters are non-stop. .

Coincidentally, I ran into Director Lv (James) who visited Taiwan two years ago. He was still handsome, and I couldn't help but sigh: the world is so small.

The picture below shows Director Lu two years ago, I like his professionalism!

The Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall is not far from 101, so we took a walk slowly, passing by the exhibition center and went in to have a look. Sure enough, wherever there are Chinese, there are cram schools. .

Mrs. Wu likes Jimmy's cartoons more, and there is a "Moon Bus" theme exhibition near 101, and she played together before boarding 101.

It was cloudy that day, and the view from the tourist floor was mediocre. I wrote postcards to my friends and family, and Eason threw them into the highest mailbox in the world.

After getting off the tower, I rushed directly to Shangyin Aquatic Products, and settled the first dinner in the "Litun District", perfect!

Before returning to the hotel, I went to the Eslite Bookstore (Dunnan 24H). //The store closed on May 31, 2020 due to the expiration of the lease, which is indeed a loss for the people of Taipei. .

As Wu Qingyou's daughter said, "Many people and things only know their influence on you after years of precipitation after they pass away." .

DAY02 Taipei National Palace Museum + Science Museum + Tamsui Causeway

I made an appointment in advance on the website of the National Palace Museum in Taipei for the weekend parent-child tour at 10:30 am and the Chinese timed tour at 14:30 pm (the parent-child tour has a limited number of people, try to make an appointment as early as possible). There are dedicated staff who explain to children, which needs to be praised. Another: Because of frequent earthquakes, the exhibits have been reinforced.

There are too many treasures in the Forbidden City, so I went to the Science and Technology Museum not far away (the service desk provides taxi service), and found that the facilities in the Taiwan Science Museum are relatively old, and there is a gap between them and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Only one square-wheeled bike has impressions.

On the way to Danshui, I saw the damaged post box affected by the earthquake a while ago.

After the end of the Tamsui MRT, I changed to a bus and arrived at the pier. After dinner, I went around the Lover Bridge, sitting on the long embankment, blowing the sea breeze and drinking beer, feeling very comfortable!

DAY03 city tour + go to Hualien

After sleeping until I woke up naturally, I checked out and went to Huashan 1914 Cultural and Creative Park for a stroll. After taking the Taiwan Railway (Ziqiang) to Hualien, the proprietress of Yayun Famous Hotel picked us up at the station. //One more thing, Taiwan's high-speed rail only operates on the West Bank Taipei-Kaohsiung Zuoying section, and the rest are ordinary Taiwan Railways, so the price is cheap and the speed is naturally not fast.

In the evening, I went to the Ziqiang Night Market in Hualien. There were performances by aborigines, and they were all good at dancing.

The young lady from Tianjin who carpooled with us also stayed in the same homestay, and made an appointment to visit Hualien and the Hualien-Kenting section together. The following link is the Kua B&B link: clean, warm and including breakfast. The boss works part-time as a chartered car driver, so the hotel + chartered car can be settled in one stop.

DAY04 Whale Watching + Hualien Day Tour

I went out to participate in the "Whale World" whale watching at 5 o'clock in the morning. I definitely couldn't see the whales, but I saw quite a lot of dolphins. .

A child who is seasick on the same boat, with an innocent face. .

After the whale watching, the driver, Brother Dadong, began to lead our two families on a one-day tour of "Qingshui Cliff-Taroko-Qixingtan" in a chartered car, a nine-seater commercial vehicle, and the two families had sex one by one.

Qingshui Cliff:

Taroko:

The two children who were strangers at first became warm after a while. .

Mixed in the local team to take pictures haha

The two papas are patting each other. .

It was still early after the tour of Taroko. Dadong kindly took us to a stream where only locals were there to play in the water. Everyone was very HIGH.

Qixingtan:

It is not suitable for going into the sea, but suitable for staring at C Yang in a daze. .

Dinner ends with the famous Lai Sang Sushi House in Hualien. It is delicious and inexpensive, and the thick-cut sashimi is great!

DAY05 Hualien-Kenting + Luye Gaotai Hot Air Balloon Carnival

After having breakfast at the B&B early in the morning, Dadong took us all the way from Hualien to Kenting, because Luye Gaotai participated in the hot air balloon mooring activity on the way, and it was already very late when we arrived in Kenting, because the typhoon was coming, the company boss asked The driver drove the car back to Hualien overnight, thank you Dadong.

At noon, you will have a meal at Chishang, and you will experience the restaurant in the carriage

Luye High Terrace Hot Air Balloon Mooring Activities

The hot air balloon carnival is generally only held in the morning and evening in July and August, because free flight is easy to float to the sea (it did happen), so our tourists can participate in relatively safer tethered activities, that is, the basket is protected by ropes, and the hot air balloon will not drift far away Just experience the sensation of going up and down. It took about two hours from the time the balloon was inflated to the end of the experience.

DAY06 Kenting Day Tour + Oceanarium Overnight Experience

Due to the approach of typhoon Neburt, the weather was exceptionally good. I chartered a car to play in Kenting for a day. In the afternoon, I left the large luggage in the store when I passed Haiye B&B on the way to the aquarium for the night. The proprietress is NICE!

Longpan Park (also called Longpan Grassland) has an ATV experience!

After showing the overnight accommodation confirmation form to the staff at the aquarium, a special person will be responsible for the arrangement and explanation, including a dinner and breakfast the next day, and a shower in the evening. If you are looking for cost-effectiveness, you can go early on the first day and leave later on the second day, which means you can spend two days in the aquarium. Another: The price of overnight accommodation is the same. The submarine tunnel area is the most popular, the most lively at night, and naturally the most difficult to determine. You can choose the shipwreck area next to the tunnel area like us, and you can go to the tunnel area and the beluga area before going to bed. Everyone can choose according to their own preferences.

The young lady led everyone into the behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium. There are many knowledge points to test! Hahaha

DAY07 Aquarium Overnight stay the next day facing the typhoon

Our triple bunk (wreck area):

TIPS:

Eat breakfast faster, because everyone is eating breakfast, and the group guests in the morning have not yet entered the venue. There are basically no tourists in Dayangchi for a while, and there will be an illusion of booking the venue for a moment.

After watching the Ocean Pool Feeding Show specially arranged for overnight tourists, go to the tidal area outside the museum to continue the tour.

After the overnight stay, I took the Kenting shuttle bus to Haiye B&B for CHECK-IN, and encountered a rainbow when passing by 7-11!

Went to Huigo Sashimi for dinner, must be thick cut haha

Haiye B&B has an invincible sea view room with a small swimming pool on the balcony. The proprietress is a marathon enthusiast. The welcome fruit of the day is a whole red-core dragon fruit! The next day, due to the impact of the typhoon, it was unknown whether the shuttle bus from Kenting to Kaohsiung would be available. The proprietress specially prepared buns for us, and was moved by such small details!

DAY08 Face the typhoon head-on

Typhoon Neptune landed near Kenting at 3:00 in the morning, and the raindrops and strong winds hit the glass door of the balcony. It was indeed a bit scary. At that time, the sentence came to mind: If you come to Taiwan without encountering a typhoon, you are in vain! Ha ha

Because both the shuttle bus and the high-speed rail from Kenting to Kaohsiung were out of service, we had to notify Ctrip to cancel the hotel reservation in Taipei for one night. Around 8:00 in the morning, chartered drivers began to pick up guests to Kaohsiung. The proprietress managed to contact us with 3 vacancies. , We didn’t dare to delay. We quickly packed our luggage and got on the bus. We arrived in Kaohsiung in heavy wind and rain. On the way, we booked a homestay near Zuoying High Speed Rail Station for the night.

After putting down the luggage, I started to visit Kaohsiung. The whole city suspended work and school that day, and the MRT was adjusted to depart at intervals of 20 minutes. There are many hanging branches and sundries on the street. First, I went to the high-speed rail station to confirm that the high-speed rail was out of service and obtained the corresponding certificate. The staff informed that the high-speed rail may resume operation the next day, and that it is necessary to come early in the morning to rebook the ticket.

The Dome of Light at Formosa Boulevard Station of the MRT There are not many tourists on that day, so take photos casually

The Xiziwan taxi is waiting for passengers at the MRT entrance. It is very happy to see us and finally came to do business. .

The locals who still insist on fishing in typhoon days,

The same perspective two years ago: a leisurely and peaceful atmosphere

DAY09 Nibert's Finale

I went to the station early in the morning and changed the ticket for free until 08:55 to distribute the high-speed rail in Taipei. The embarrassment in Taiwan came to an end. back to Taipei!

Let me take it easy. .

I ran into a harp artist in the underground square of Taipei Main Station and bought two CDs, which have not been opened yet. .

Let's have a glass of 50 Lan to suppress the shock

Buy souvenirs in the afternoon, and the sun cakes in Tangcun are unforgettable. .
