The process of Yalun's self-driving trip on the Duku Highway can be described as a feast for the eyes! The scenery and experiences along the way have been shared in detail in the previous articles. On the 561-kilometer journey, the scenery of each section is very different. The mysterious Grand Canyon to be shared today is even more different from the previous environment!
As Xiangnan's footsteps got closer and closer to Kuqa County, the painting style in front of him became more and more strange. Two hours ago, I was still admiring the green mountains and green waters in the Longchi and Daxiaolongchi, and I drove into a red world in a blink of an eye! The temperature is also getting higher and higher.
Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon is located more than 60 kilometers north of Kuqa County, Xinjiang, surrounded by mountains at the southern foot of Tianshan Mountain. This shining pearl on the ancient Silk Road was discovered in 1999. Since then, many people have come here to appreciate the Thousand Buddha Caves and other mysterious caves with their own meanings.
The strange peaks and mountains that make up the canyon are composed of ochre-colored muddy sandstone, which is called "Kizilia" in the local Uighur language, which means red cliffs. Except for some grass on the roadside and a little green vegetation at the entrance of the scenic spot, there is almost no other greenery in this area. The field of vision is completely filled with crimson.
The mysterious Grand Canyon of the Tianshan Mountains combines the wonders of human canyons with the strengths of the wonders of the Tianshan Mountains. Only when you are on the scene can you believe that there are such scenery in the world. Especially when driving on the Duku Highway, when passing by the mountain, you can see various special lines.
During the day, the sun is scorching, and the large-scale red mountains remind me of the Flaming Mountains in Turpan, but this place is not just as simple as one or two mountains, but rolling, with overlapping peaks and steep cliffs. What's more intriguing is that it seems that the whole is red, while some mountains are "quietly changing color"!
Take a closer look, it turns out that these mountains are colorful! Still spliced? Like a rainbow cake. One layer is red, one layer is black, and one layer is yellow, overlapping each other, seemingly random and irregular, but in fact these huge red mountain groups were formed in the Mesozoic Era 140 million years ago. During the Cretaceous period, hundreds of millions of years of wind stripping and rain erosion, flood erosion, formed ridges and grooves stacked in an orderly manner, criss-crossing.
Not only that, the large landscape near the mysterious Grand Canyon of the Tianshan Mountains is different when viewed from a distance. From a close look, it looks like a person, like a dream, like a dream, lifelike, full of charm, but from a distance, it looks like a variety of shapes, such as triangular, jagged, and rectangular, which makes people feel uncanny and amazing!
What I like most when I come here is to stop and run close to these mountains on the side of the road, touch them with my hands, and see how the vicissitudes of life feel? Satisfy your curiosity. But the closer you get to the cave, the faster your heartbeat. I dare not approach the dark cave entrance, but I really want to explore it, which is very exciting.
On the side of the road, I can see a stone with three big red characters of "Tianshan Love". Although the road on the Duku Highway is on Tianshan Mountain, this seems to be the first time I have seen such a big stone on Tianshan Mountain. "Tianshan", if it wasn't for its reminder, I would have almost forgotten what kind of mountain it is. Maybe this is the so-called "it is not the real face of Lushan Mountain, but only because it is in this mountain"! This road trip to Duku is my favorite in Xinjiang, I love it so much!
