Travel Note 1 introduces the departure from Shenzhen ----- Kunming -- Stone Forest -- Lijiang ----- Shangri-La ----- Dali, the situation along the journey in this section of Northwest Yunnan.

Travel note 2 introduces the itinerary: Dali --- Ruili --- one-day tour of Muse City, Myanmar --- Tengchong.

Started the itinerary into southwestern Yunnan, the climate changed from winter (to Lijiang and Shangri-La in February, because the temperature is still relatively low in the high-altitude area at the junction of the three provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet, so you need to bring more clothes) to spring (Tengchong) and summer (Ruili). The change of the journey brings the change of the seasons, and we add or remove clothes in the change of seasons.

The Yunnan train line, one is from Kunming to Lijiang; the other is from Kunming to the Sino-Vietnamese border in Hekou. The transportation between cities mainly depends on airplanes and buses (there are few direct flights between cities with airports, and many need to transfer from Kunming, which is very expensive. .).

The eighth day (February 23) Dali - Ruili (sixth stop)

Most of the day is spent in a luxury bus

The original plan was to go to Tengchong first and then to Ruili. Considering that Tengchong is convenient to go to Xishuangbanna by plane, I don't want to go back, so I decided to go to Ruili first and then go to Tengchong.

1. Itinerary: At 8.30 am on the 23rd, we took the luxury bus to Ruili from Dali Express Bus Station (171 yuan/person) and arrived at Ruili at 3:30 pm. People are on the road, and the world is unpredictable. The bus was stopped by the high-speed traffic police before approaching a tunnel in Baoshan City. Because there was a big cargo in front of us, we were waiting for two full hours. By the time Ruili was almost 6 p.m. up.

2. Matters needing attention: Dali-Ruili is now an expressway, with a journey of more than 400 kilometers and a time of more than 7 hours. The expressway in Yunnan is not like the expressway in the mainland, with many steep mountains and hills, many ups and downs, and many curves. It may be due to economic reasons that more bridges and tunnels were not used to straighten the road, so the distance is not too far, but the time is relatively long. Special attention should be paid to safety when driving a private car.

Day 9 (February 24) Ruili

Ruili City is a small border town bordering China and Myanmar by land, but it is the largest inland port in Southwest China, and it is also a jewelry distribution center.

1. Main scenic spots to visit: Jiegao Port; Forest of Lone Trees; Yaosha Dai Village, etc.

2. Transportation and tickets:

Dushu Chenglin Scenic Area: Tickets are 18 yuan per person, you can take the bus from Ruili to Wanding and get off at the gate of Dushu Chenglin Scenic Area.
Shared bicycle green travel in the morning: We went to the Dushuchenglin scenic spot after breakfast early in the morning (12 kilometers from the hotel to the scenic spot, 50 yuan for a one-way chartered car, 100 yuan for a round trip). It takes more than 2 hours to arrive at the scenic spot, and it feels very good to ride a bike and enjoy it all the way.

In fact, it is just an ordinary scenic spot, and half an hour is enough to see it. On the return journey, after inquiring about returning to Ruili, you can wait for the passing bus from Wanding to Ruili (10 yuan per person) at the roadside of the gate of the scenic spot. In this way, we returned to the hotel smoothly.

In the afternoon, take the No. 6 bus to the Dai village of Huaisha. The road conditions are not good and there are small buses. Since I was not familiar with the place of life, I asked where to get off on the bus, and a guy from the Dai nationality told me when to get off. It may be a side door, and I entered the stockade without encountering a charge.

It should be said that Huaisha Dai Village is relatively small and basically retains its original appearance, more authentic, and not many people (incomparable with the Dai Garden in Xishuangbanna), but it is very simple. There are self-produced fruits and dried fruits sold in the village. Homegrown fruit.

Since we are scheduled to go to Myanmar tomorrow, there will be no separate arrangements for Jiegao Port.

Day 10 (February 25) Burmese border city: Muse City one-day tour (seventh stop)

Muse City in Myanmar belongs to the Kokang region in northern Myanmar (it is said to have belonged to China in the past). Due to the war, outbound travel was suspended for a while, and it reopened in October 2018. Individual travel is more troublesome.

We are doing a group tour. The hotel's travel agency handles a one-day trip to Myanmar. We were told that 350 yuan per person is all-inclusive (document and photo, etc.), and we can apply for a pass one day in advance (no passport is required for a one-day tour).

1. Procedures and charges:

At noon on the 24th, the hotel attendant heard that we wanted to go on a one-day trip to Myanmar, and said that there is an acquaintance who can do it for a fee of 330 yuan per person, and also gave away 2 tickets for Yizhai and the two countries. Based on this, we negotiated with the hotel travel agency for 330 yuan/person, and we will go through the procedures for the day trip tomorrow with the travel agency (one hour is enough).

2. Itinerary:

The main content of the one-day tour on the 25th: visit Muse cityscape and border trade market in the morning; sleeping Buddha; Gaoshan Temple; /person), return home.

The travel agency of our hotel is responsible for our pick-up and drop-off to Jiegao Port, which is opposite to Muse City in Myanmar. It is relatively simple for the staff of my travel agency to hand over us to the other party's travel agency at the port (the port is not big). The tour guide in Muse City, Myanmar, took us to the minibus to start a day trip. The city appearance of Muse City feels a bit like our villages and towns in the 1970s. It is still relatively poor and backward, and there are many temples in Buddhist countries.

Myanmar, an ancient country, is worth finding time to travel alone. Traveling across the border is just looking at the flowers on horseback and looking forward to opportunities.

The eleventh day (February 26) Tengchong (Ruili----Tengchong, the eighth stop) -----Heshun Ancient Town

1. Heshun Ancient Town:

The largest hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan, it is relatively old-fashioned and not as commercialized as Lijiang, and its scale is larger than Shuhe Ancient Town. There are Liu's and Cun's ancestral halls, the former residence of Li Gengen, the acting prime minister of the Republic of China, the Ai Siqi Memorial Hall, and the Heshun Library (the largest township library in China), etc.

2. Schedule:

On the 26th, take a bus from Ruili to Tengchong Bus Station at noon, and transfer to Heshun Ancient Town.

3. Tickets for transportation and accommodation

The distance from Ruili to Tengchong is more than 220 kilometers. There is a long-distance bus at the passenger station every 40 minutes, which takes about 3 hours.

Heshun Ancient Town: There is bus No. 6 in the city leading to the gate of Heshun Ancient Town (about 6 kilometers), and the ticket for the scenic spot is 55 yuan.

Heshun Ancient Town: B&B 159 yuan/night.

4. Tour arrangements:

Heshun Ancient Town:

On the 26th, we departed from Ruili Bus Station at 9:00 a.m. and arrived at Tengchong Bus Station at 12 noon. The owner of the homestay in Heshun Ancient Town sent a car to pick us up at the store (Heshun Ancient Town is about 6 kilometers away from the bus station, and the pick-up fee is 30 yuan. If you stay 3 Late pickup is free). The driver who picked us up drove in a rapeseed field on the side of the gate of Heshun Ancient Town and went directly to the B&B (so there was no ticket fee).

In the afternoon, according to Boss Zheng of the B&B store, we started to wander around the ancient town and walked in the alleys of Heshun Ancient Town. We felt that the life was quiet, the folk customs were simple, and the traditional culture and architecture were still preserved. , It's just that the weather is not beautiful, it has been raining, the ancient town is unexpectedly quiet at night, the temperature drops a lot, and the cold air hits the upper body in the guest room. The next day I changed my mind and decided to live in Tengchong City.

3. Tour arrangements:

Go to Atami in the morning:

Rehai Hot Spring Scenic Area is located in the embrace of mountains on the outskirts of Tengchong, and it takes about 40 minutes to get there by the No. 3 tourist bus. Tourist trails in Hot Sea Scenic Area are designed as a closed circular route without going back. There are dozens of hot springs along the way, some of which are as high as 90 degrees. Finally, there is the hot sea hot pot (about 6 meters in diameter), a popular scenic spot in the scenic spot. We bought raw eggs outside the scenic area and cooked them in the hot spring (5 yuan for a string of 4). It takes 2 hours to enjoy Atami. Of course, it is also very good for interested friends to soak in the hot springs.
