[Creation Camp 2019, parent-child recommended customized tour, fun in Inner Mongolia] Xilamuren grassland tour, or desert 1-day tour https://m.ctrip.com/webapp/vacations/pguider/sing_detail?productId=17723502&advisorId=12578&destCityId =156&autoawaken=close&popup=close&ctm_mes=va_pprsc01&isshare=1&shareAdvisorId=12578

      @ Never thought that the first time I went to Inner Mongolia, I would use the name of "Xunwei". The first reaction in my mind was to eat meat and drink heavily, because when I read poetry in my childhood, it was like "the sky is vast and wild, and the wind blows the grass and sees cattle and sheep". After being there, I can’t help but share with you that there are not only cattle and sheep in Inner Mongolia on the tip of the tongue.

Day1 Hohhot | Erdun

      On the first day of landing in Hohhot, I started adding clothes and changing snow boots. The north is indeed much colder than the south.

      The first stop: Dazhao, a Tibetan Buddhist temple, is one of the most well-preserved and most influential temples in Hohhot and even Inner Mongolia. Dazhao has three unique features: silver Buddha, dragon carvings and murals.

Buddhism is pure and indescribable. I just feel that I have been running around all these years, and it is a kind of comfort to stop at this moment. Xu Shi has been on the road. He has been alone for too long and lacks a sense of security. At this moment, he gets spiritual comfort.

Many people think that I am very happy every day, but in fact, only I know the hard work. Just like the quality of a scenic spot, it often does not depend on how many people visit, but how much you gain from it. Compared with the Potala Palace, it is quiet here, but it is full of incense. I like the feeling of the beam of light falling on the body from the top of the Buddhist hall, as if the Buddha's light shines and cleanses the soul.

       The first meal is traditional shabu. The name of the restaurant is Erdun, which means "Baby" in Chinese. In the past, it was often said that Japanese food should be natural in color, delicious in taste, diverse in shape, and excellent in utensils. Unexpectedly, the traditional shabu-shabu here is not inferior. The pot of this hot pot alone amazes everyone. The yurt-shaped shell made of cloisonne is both beautiful and thoughtful. The bulging part in the middle is to protect it from being burned. The sauce on the side is full of color and fragrance, just like a work of art,

      The dishes of mutton and beef are also very elegant. The key is to use a clear soup bottom to preserve the original flavor of the ingredients, which is different from the hot Sichuan Chongqing hot pot. Surprisingly, even though the clear soup did not taste like mutton, it was only after asking that it was due to the exquisite ingredients. The rich vegetation and unpolluted natural environment of Xilin Gol Grassland have created two kinds of delicious mutton. These sheep eat more than 400 kinds of medicinal plants such as shallots, alfalfa, etc., and drink deep groundwater comparable to mineral water. They are stocked and mature naturally, so the Ujumqin sheep and Sunite sheep in the Xilin Gol Grassland have become Erdun's inevitable choice. Slaughtering and processing can only start after July-November every year, which has never changed since ancient times.

    The side dishes are quite northern, and the portions are enough to fill you up. The most surprising thing is their secret yogurt, which comes in two flavors. Personally, I prefer the sweet-scented osmanthus and lotus seeds in the picture 4 above with the fragrance of flowers, which are very fragrant and smooth in the dry weather in the north.

An Anda entertains us here. Anda is used by the Mongolians to refer to those who are not related by blood, who are life-and-death friends formed by oath. Now it is usually used to express affection like brothers. I like eating like this. I can listen to local people telling stories. Many times the travel is too hasty and I don’t have much time to get in touch. I can learn a lot of interesting things from them.

Day2 Hohhot | Maixiang Village

The Shaomai in Maixiang Village is well-known far and wide. The original writing of the word "Shaomai" is based on the writing method of the Ming Dynasty. Now it is also called siu mai, siu mai. The reason why I made a special trip to eat Siaomei is because it and the traditional dishes of Inner Mongolia, such as steamed mutton, grilled meat strips and barbecue, are selected and preserved from tens of thousands of dishes in the development of Maixiang Village in the past 80 years. It is the best of the dishes.

We were amazed when the table was filled with hot tea and milk tea. It is said that only love and food can not be let down. It was so rich early in the morning, and I really felt a burst of happiness.

     Here is a close-up, the thin skin is shining, and it is fragrant and hot when it is taken out of the steamer. Some people also say that because the siu mai in Guihua City has neat and clear folds on the sides and tips, which resemble white flowers, the people of Inner Mongolia call the siu mai "slightly beautiful". Siaomei has a unique production process, excellent selection of materials, fine and thin skin, moderate fat and thin mutton stuffing, and complete condiments such as scallions and ginger.

      Shaomei in the western part of Inner Mongolia is still traditionally filled with mutton and green onions and fresh ginger. A little beautiful out of the cage, full of fresh fragrance. Looking at its shape, one can only see that the skin is as thin as a cicada's wing, crystal clear and transparent. When lifted with chopsticks, it hangs like a thin sac and is placed on a plate like a small pancake. It tastes fragrant but not greasy. It can be described as Chinese food, beautiful in shape and rich in flavor. Maixiang village has a rich variety of Xiaomei, including mutton, beef, vegetarian, etc., and you can choose fat or thin.

Day2 Hasuhai | Deceitful Horse Feast

      If I didn't go to Hasuhai, the yurts are just the impression left in my mind in Inner Mongolia, and I feel that this trip is full of unreality. I never expected that I would be here, not only seeing the yurt with my own eyes, but also having the opportunity to live in it.

Such a luxurious yurt is completely beyond my imagination. Perhaps this is the charm of travel, to go out to discover the real world. I like the winter with radiators, and I prefer bathtubs with floor-to-ceiling windows that can bask in the sun.

     But what is really exciting is the deceitful horse feast here. Cheat horse, in Mongolian, refers to the whole animal that has lost its hair. It means that after the cattle and sheep are slaughtered, the hair is removed with hot water, the internal organs are removed, and the table is roasted or boiled. The deceitful horse feast is a unique Mongolian celebration feast for the whole cow or whole sheep. See roasted whole lamb, this is a must.

The feast of cheating horses began in the Yuan Dynasty. This simple folk custom of eating whole cows and sheep was developed into a luxurious palace banquet by the Holy Lord Nuoyan. It was lost for a time, but now people have restored the Roasted Whole Cow Stealing Horse Feast through a large amount of materials such as "Mongolian Recipes" and "Mongolian Customs Records", and conducted experiments.

     The grandchildren's clothes worn by those who go to the banquet are made by craftsmen every year, awarded by the emperor, and changed every day, with the same color. The dishes are mainly sheep, and a lot of wine is used. Therefore, when attending the banquet, everyone will change into yellow clothes uniformly. There is a performer in the middle so the costumes are different.

There will be singing and dancing performances during the Zhama banquet, and Mongolian girls will toast with antelope horn cups at every interval. Quite enthusiastic, this wine is also a genuine liquor, after a few rounds of drinking it is overwhelming.

     Recipes for cheating horse banquets include dim sum: Mongolian Sanzi, Butter Crisp, Urimo, Chagan Hu Rida, Daigo, Milk Tiao, Fried Rice, White Oil, Butter. Fresh by hand: four fresh fruits (peach, rock sugar plum, grape, small apple), four vegetarian dishes of hometown love, cold food platter of hometown love, roasted whole lamb, five animal soup, steamed willow lamb, etc. I just want to say one thing, you must eat fast or you will be taken away when the next dish arrives... So as a qualified foodie, you must not only be able to hold back the strength of alcohol, but also drink quickly Otherwise, you can only watch the food come and go without leaving a piece of meat.

Day3 Ordos | Nine City Palace

       Children who are good at geography know that Inner Mongolia has a large span, so in addition to Mongolian cuisine, northern Shaanxi cuisine can also be eaten in the cuisine. For me, a southerner, this was a surprise. The first time I saw cave dwellings, I always thought they were only made on TV about the Anti-Japanese War. Didn't expect it to be real.

The experience of Jiucheng Palace is very good. You can go to the Kang when you enter the door, which is called warmth. I kind of admire the little partner who designed the route, it’s amazing,

      All kinds of dishes that I have never heard of: Red Grilled Meatballs, Grilled Pork, Northern Shaanxi Potato Chacha, Northern Shaanxi Stewed Lamb... I couldn't help but move my chopsticks. The thing that wins my heart the most is the yellow rice bun, which is even better than donuts.

  Day4 Xiangsha Bay | Liansha Resort

    Can you imagine that there are buildings in this world that do not use bricks, tiles, sand, stones, cement, or steel bars? Liansha Resort in Xiangshawan is such a green building. Overlooking it from the air is a blooming lotus flower, and it is a place where people really relax based on Buddhist culture. Every day the employees here will chant scriptures in the morning,

    Sitting in this transparent glass restaurant in the middle of the desert and eating, I really feel that this life is enough. The world is so big, I am just a tiny grain of sand. But you can not be disturbed by the wind and sand, and you can enjoy the food from all over the cafeteria, and you will be contented.

But the most wonderful thing is the experience of riding a camel in the desert. I like their cute big eyes and their graceful gait walking on the sand. I love the camel I ride that likes to jump in line, it has been unwilling to let others go forward, it is so cute. I didn't expect that the pictures on TV would be such a wonderful feeling to practice in person. I would like to have a chance to come again in the summer.

Day5 Xilamuren Grassland | Herdsmen's House

The grass on the grassland in winter has turned yellow, and the strong wind is blowing colder and colder. The herdsmen on the Xilamuren Grassland drive their sheep. The yurts here do not have Hasuhai’s radiators, but they are warmed by the warm hospitality of the herdsmen’s family.

It is said that the Mongolian people are good at singing and dancing. During the banquet, the old lady hummed softly, her voice was as open as a grassland, which was melodious and charming. They don't speak Mandarin well, but we can see their simple and honest hearts.

    This is my favorite photo taken in Inner Mongolia, not one of them. The old lady is sixty or seventy years old, and she doesn't have a single gray hair on her head. She said she was embarrassed to laugh, because she didn't look good without teeth. But when entertaining us, the most genuine smile was captured in the camera by me. I don't know what it will be like when I get old, but I want to live as optimistic, cheerful, simple and happy as her,

Day5 Hohhot | Gerile Grandma Milk Tea

Gerile Grandma's seven-process milk tea was selected into CCTV's "Everyday Diet" column, but what really attracted me was its seven processes.

Brewing: Make green brick tea every day before the sun comes out;

 Boil: to boil the tea;

Yang: raise the tea leaves 81 times;

Cheng: Clarify the tea leaves from the tea juice;

Stir-fry: Fry the millet with butter until golden;

Compilation: Compile the ancestral formula of fried rice with tea leaves;

Burning: Boil the milk tea and add butter

Day6 Wulanchabu | Mengheng

     On the last day of our departure, we were driven by foodies and rushed from Hohhot to Mengheng in Ulanqab before dawn, just to taste the well-known sanded onion buns. Because it will be sold out by noon, it’s always a pity to come all the way and not try it.

      There is no need to ask about Meng Heng's word of mouth, the whole room of people queuing up to pick up food early in the morning is enough to show his strength. The richness of breakfast is beyond our imagination, and it is even more loved by me, a carnivore.

On the desert grassland in Ulanqab City, there is a plant called sand onion. Sand onion is actually wild onion. It has the shape of onion, the pungentness of onion, and the unique aroma that domestic onion does not have. All the guests who came to the Ulanqab Grassland, after tasting the yurt stuffed with shallots and mutton, all praised it for its delicious taste.

Finally, I have to eat Zhuo Zishan 丨 smoked chicken

   On the way back to Hohhot from Ulanqab, you will pass Zhuozi Mountain. The fellow foodies had already done their homework and entered the toll booth to buy at the smoked chicken shop not far away.

Zhuozishan smoked chicken is a traditional famous food in Zhuozi County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It has a history of nearly a hundred years of production and processing. It is one of the four famous chickens in the country. It is famous in all provinces in North China and inside and outside the Great Wall for its fat body, ruddy color, delicious taste, and tender meat. Haha, this is where our search for Inner Mongolia comes to a successful conclusion.

In the end, I want to say that life is short, and life is full of flavors. It's good to learn simple like the Mongolians and live a simple life. Thank you to my friends for taking care of me along the way.

There are countless special delicacies on the prairie of Inner Mongolia.
