Today is only 44 days until the countdown to the opening of the "24th Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022". As the Beijing Winter Olympics is approaching, it reminds me of the first time I came into contact with a large ski resort at the Beidahu Ice and Snow World in Jilin. In fact, sightseeing ski resort is another good tourist item in Jilin Province in winter besides watching the magic of rime along the Songhua River in Jilin. It was February 12, 2005. The reporter participated in the "Ice and Snow Special Train Tour Group" tour. After watching the rime wonders, we took a bus and went on to the suburbs across the Linjiangmen Bridge in Jilin. Jilin Beidahu Ski Resort was founded in 1994. It is located in Yongji County, 56 kilometers away from Jilin City, at 126 degrees east longitude and 43 degrees north latitude. It has successfully held the snow events of the 8th and 9th National Winter Games. The snow events of the 6th Asian Winter Games in 2010 were also held here.
Beidahu Ski Resort is one of the first batch of 4A-level scenic spots in my country, covering an area of 17.5 square kilometers. There are 9 peaks in the area with an altitude of more than 1,200 meters. The main peak, Nanlou Mountain, is 1,404.8 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Jilin. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the ski resort has low wind in winter, moderate temperature, deep snow cover and good snow quality.
This is a paradise for skiers. Beidahu Ski Resort and Yabuli Ski Resort are two famous ski resorts in Northeast China. In the reporter's opinion, Beidahu Ski Resort is top-notch in terms of its natural location and hardware facilities. Beidahu Ski Resort has a variety of routes, cross-connected ski trails, obvious undulating terrain, and a clear and open view, which is especially suitable for beginners and professional skiers.
There are 5 ski ropeways in Beidahu, with a total length of 6040 meters. The equipment is imported from the American Seatec Company. It has a high automatic safety factor. It leads directly to the top of the mountain and is connected to the ski trail. It is also equipped with a 300 automatic towing ropeway to meet the needs of ski tourists of different levels; a ski club is equipped with imported ski equipment, sleds, and snowmobiles for tourists to use.
Due to limited time, the reporter took the cableway up the mountain to take pictures of the landscape of the Beidahu Snow Resort. From the foot of the mountain to the first exit and then transfer to the cableway to continue climbing, the cumulative driving time is about 40 minutes. Overlooking from the cable car, you can have a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery of the Beidahu Ski Resort. In the endless white snow sea, there are colorful stars flowing. If you look at it with a telescope, I believe that any color point at any focal distance will be a healthy skier.
A heavily armed skier who took the cable car with the reporter did not expect to be a girl when he spoke. She told the reporter that they came here from Beijing to ski specially. Asked why he came all the way here for skiing. The girl only has one word "cool"! When the reporter reached the top of the second cableway, he found that it was already 1229 meters above sea level. It was cold and windy on the mountain, and the snow was knee-deep. The climate is unusually cold. However, the scenery is also very spectacular. Snow-capped mountains and stretches of pine vegetation complement each other, forming a beautiful natural scenery.
