Route: Hami - Turpan - Urumqi - Kuitun - Dushanzi - Qiaoerma - Bayinbulak - Kuqa - Korla - Turpan - Shanshan - Hami
Travel method: rent a car and drive by yourself; number of people: 2 people; per capita cost: 4500, number of days: 8 days
Day1
In the morning, take the bullet train D2701 from Lanzhou West to Hami, pass by Menyuan, and see the endless rapeseed fields, but do not stop. If you take D2703, there is Menyuan Station.
Arrive at Hami Station at 5:00 pm, rent a car at Hami, pick up the car after leaving the station and have dinner (the dinner time in Xinjiang seems to be after 9:00 pm, due to the time difference), and then go to Turpan on the Beijing New Expressway. The whole journey takes more than 380 roads and takes 4 hours more than an hour.
Notice:
1. When renting a car in Xinjiang, some companies have a mileage limit of 350 kilometers per day. Please pay attention to understand before renting a car, so as not to affect your mood.
2. The speed limit in Xinjiang is very strict. Normally, the speed limit is 120 on high-speed roads, 80 or 60 on road construction sections, 60 on national highways, and 40 on urban roads. There are many speed tests and photos on the road. Pay attention to speed and avoid unnecessary points and fines.
3. There is a 2-hour time difference between Xinjiang and the mainland, and it usually doesn’t get dark until 10 pm.
4. To refuel at a gas station in Xinjiang, you need to swipe your ID card to enter after the security check, so you must bring your ID card.
5. The temperature in different regions of Xinjiang is different. Some places are extremely hot, such as Turpan, and some places need to wear cotton coats at night, so it is necessary to prepare a cotton coat or thicker clothes.
The first meal after entering Xinjiang was already past 6 p.m., and there was no one in the restaurant. After asking the boss, I found out that the dinner here was after 9 p.m., due to jet lag.
It was already past 11 o'clock in the evening when we arrived in Turpan. Although the sun had already set, the temperature was still high and the air was hot, so we quickly found a hotel to check in.
Day2
We didn't stay too long in Turpan. After eating steamed buns, we continued on our way. We passed through Dabancheng and Urumqi. Our goal was to reach Kuitun, which is the location of Dushanzi at the northern end of the Duku Highway. When we were about to arrive in Urumqi, the road signs on the road reminded us that there is a Dabancheng Salt Lake here. Since it is not far from the expressway, we went straight there.
Notice:
The area of Dabancheng Salt Lake is small. It is the location of a salt factory. The raw material for making salt in the salt factory comes from the salt lake. There is a fee to enter the salt lake. The fee is 150 per car and 60 per person. You need to take a shuttle bus. 30 per person, so it is better to drive into the comparative value. Tickets can be bought at the ticket office at the entrance, or directly to the security guard. (Actually, the tickets are collected by the salt factory. Originally, there was no need for tickets. When more people came, the salt factory began to charge.)
After leaving Salt Lake and reconnecting to Lianhuo Expressway, Urumqi, the provincial capital, is not far away.
In fact, it is an international small commodity exhibition market, a pedestrian street. Bazaar means market in Uighur.
In the evening, we arrived at Kuitun, a beautiful Corps city. Facing the lightning rain, the setting sun and the colorful clouds, we arrived here at 8 o'clock.
After the lightning lasted for 2 hours, the wind finally ushered in. After we checked into the hotel, it was pitch black and the entire street was cut off. But I had a good night's sleep.
Day3
Today I officially crossed Duku, about 14 kilometers southward from Kuitun, and arrived at the starting point of Duku Highway - Dushanzi District. We had breakfast in Dushanzi, and the big brother who sold breakfast told us the people who entered Duku every day these days There are many, it is best to enter early. If you enter after 11 am, there may be traffic jams. Fortunately, we did not come out too late.
Duku Highway, also known as National Highway 217, is a traffic artery running through the north and south of Tianshan Mountains. Because it passes through the Tianshan Mountains, its scenery presents the characteristics of a desolate Gobi at both ends and a fairyland on earth in the middle.
Notice:
1. The total length of the Duku Highway is about 530 kilometers, and it takes about 13-14 hours to drive. Because the mountain is high and the road is dangerous, the speed limit, and the time for parking and taking pictures, it is best to finish it in at least two days. If there are many scenic spots, you can divide it Finished in three days.
2. There are only service facilities at Qiaoerma, Nalati intersection and Bayinbulak for the whole journey, where you can stop for meals or stay. Gas stations are only available in Qiaoerma and Bayinbuluk towns. Both 92 and 95 oil are available. Take this Pay attention to the amount of oil. Also prepare some food.
We didn't go to the Dushanzi Grand Canyon at the starting point. If you have enough time, you can take a look.
It was already past 7 pm when we arrived at the Bayinbula Visitor Center. We were told that the ticket sales would end at 5 pm. We were late, and the 9 and 18 bends upstream were missed this time. We did not enter the scenic spot, but parked on the side of the road to take pictures, and further ahead is the town of Bayinbulak. The living service facilities are relatively complete, and there is also a tourist center. However, there are too many people coming at this time, and the price of the hotel has increased accordingly. There was a yurt on the side of the road, but we gave up and slept in the car tonight.
Day4
We got into the car at dawn and were ready to continue our journey. We wanted to refuel at the gas station in the town, but the gas station was closed at night. When we arrived, there was already a long queue of cars waiting for refueling. We resolutely gave up refueling and continued on our way. Row.
The beauty of Bayinbulak is particularly delicate after the rain last night, the grass is full of water, and the horses next to it are eating breakfast leisurely.
At this point, the winding mountain road down the mountain is basically finished, and the road begins to meander along the river valley
Dalongchi is formed by the natural flow and accumulation of rivers after the snow on the plateau has melted. The water area of Dalongchi is very large, but the Xiaolongchi below is much smaller and can only be regarded as a pool at best.
Xiaolongchi was too small to take any photos. We continued down the mountain road, and the mountains in the distance turned into barren mountains again.
Continue along the road for 40 kilometers, and you will find the Kuqa Grand Canyon, which has another name, the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon. (There is also the Tianshan Grand Canyon, but not here)
The Grand Canyon is 3 kilometers long, and it was really amazing when we entered it. We walked halfway and returned, and the ray of sky inside did not go. Leave the Grand Canyon and continue to drive along the river. When you see such a Yadan landform, it means that you have finished walking the Duku Highway, but you missed the sign at the end of the Duku Highway and did not take a photo.
After passing through the Yadan landform area, we arrived at the intersection of Tuhe Expressway and Duku Highway. We did not stop at Kuqa. After refueling, we went directly to Korla, 300 miles away.
Notice:
The total length of the Duku Highway is about 530. We filled up the gas in Kuitun and drove to Kuqa. We didn’t go to refuel in the middle, but if we go to other scenic spots in the middle, it is best to refuel in Qiaoerma or Bayinbulak.
Korla City, the second largest city in Xinjiang (the first is Urumqi), is the capital of Bayingoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture. The barbecue here is Mongolian-style barbecue, which tastes great. We rested in Korla for one night, took a good bath and slept well. On this day, I ran nearly 600 kilometers from Bayinbuke to Korla.
Day 5
After sleeping in Korla and waking up naturally, we continued our journey along the Tuhe Expressway to Turpan. The road condition was good all the way. We arrived at Turpan at noon. Because Turpan was too hot, we didn't stay in Turpan for too long, and we mainly stayed in Shanshan for the next few days.
Shanshan County is about 90 kilometers away from Turpan, which is not far away, but the climate of the territory is still very different. Turpan is very hot during the day and night, but Shanshan is surprisingly cool at night, and the temperature is very pleasant.
Shanshan delicacies:
On the last day, I bought some raisins for my family and went to the market.
In the next few days, we have been doing sand therapy in Shanshan. On the 28th, we drove 4 hours from Shanshan to Hami at 5:00 a.m., changed cars and flew back to Beijing.
