On the eve of New Year's Day, Yu Fan spent ten days in Xinjiang. The itinerary included Urumqi, Changji, Korla, Bohu and other places. It is the throat of the ancient Silk Road and one of the birthplaces of Western culture. It is also an important transportation hub, material distribution center and important political, economic and cultural center in Xinjiang.
Korla is located on the Kongque River Delta, which is known as the "Bayingoleng Golden Triangle". The climate here is mild, the soil is fertile, the products are rich, and the light, heat, water and soil resources are very rich. Yes, it first appeared in Korla more than ten years ago in the winter of 2006. After the arrival of this group of angelic swans, it brought great surprises to the citizens of Korla. They can be seen at close range and on a regular basis without traveling far. Enjoy the view of the swans.
It is said that at the beginning, there were not many swans coming, only about a hundred, and then more and more came every year. After more than ten years of continuous increase, the number has reached nearly a thousand now. It has become a beautiful landscape in Licheng in winter.
The place where we saw the swan is called the Dujuan River, which is a tributary of the Kongque River, the mother river of Korla, and the source of the Kongque River is the important destination of our trip - Bosten Lake. The Kongque River is 785 kilometers long and flows Passing through Korla and Yuli counties, it winds towards the Lop Nur desert. It is more than 300 kilometers long in Korla city. The Dujuan River with swans is part of the Kongque River.

Why do so many swans fly to Licheng? Local friends said that the three beauties of Korla attracted the swans. Which three beauties? The first is the beauty of ecology, creating a good living environment for swans; the second is the beauty of human spirit, treating and caring for swans; the third is the beauty of the environment here. The environment in Korla has been getting better and better in recent years. He said that swans can fly to Korla for winter in groups, which is an affirmation of Korla's ecology and nature's recognition of Korla's environment.
At the same time, the citizens of Korla also maintain a very friendly attitude towards these elf-like swans. Everyone loves them very much, and they only watch them from a distance, but they never drive them away, let alone catch them. Even the Garden Supervision Brigade of the Korla Landscaping Administration has set up a swan squadron. Over the years, seven swan squadron inspectors have carried out inspections regardless of wind and snow, checking the habitat and living conditions of wild birds, and are responsible for counting the number of overwintering geese, throwing Feeding, caring and rescue work.
Overwintering geese have become a bright business card for Korla’s opening to the outside world, external publicity, and urban development.
