On April 6, 2019, we took HNA HU7111 Beijing-Kunming flight from Terminal 1 of Capital International Airport at 15:55 and arrived at Kunming Changshui Airport at 19:20. This started our trip to Yunnan.

This is my second time in Yunnan, and I decided to take a different route from the first time.

After getting off the plane, I still rented a car at the airport and rented a Buick Envision 1.5TSUV, which will accompany us through our beautiful self-driving trip for the past few days.

We stayed at Yunshang Four Seasons Hotel (Kunming Changshui Airport Branch) that night, and had our first meal of the trip at the Dali Yijia Restaurant next to the hotel.

Early the next morning, we drove straight to Dali, which will be the first stop of our trip. Dali left a very good impression on me last time, but only took a tour of the ancient city. Revisiting the old place will have a different feeling. Departing from Yunshang Four Seasons Hotel at 7 o'clock, after a 5-hour journey, I arrived at the homestay "Hua Shen Bie Yuan" in Dali at about 12 o'clock. This B&B is very emotional, very warm and comfortable. After lunch here, take a short rest, and prepare to drive around the Erhai Lake in the afternoon, see Erhai Lake up close, and Cangshan Mountain from a distance. Erhai Lake is located in the suburb of Dali, Yunnan Province, and is the second largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province. The scenery here is beautiful, the sky is high and the clouds are light. The wide and calm "sea" reflects everything around it, as if it is a bright mirror reflecting everything in Dali. The first stop is the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, the second stop is Shuanglang Ancient Town, the third stop is Nanzhao Customs Island, the fourth stop is to enjoy coffee and watch the sunset, and the fifth stop is Dali Ancient City. It was already late when we came back from Erhai Lake. We had dinner near where we lived, and then went to the ancient city to see the night view.

The fruits in the south are very novel. The ones that look like small tomatoes on the top are called goat milk fruits, and the ones that look like purple eggplants on the bottom are called purple coconuts.

Eat, drink and be merry - a pleasant day spent in laughter and laughter.

April 8

I woke up naturally in the morning, had breakfast at the hotel, and set foot on the way to Tengchong. On the way to Tengchong, about 20 kilometers away, we passed the Longjiang Bridge, which is the first super-long-span steel box girder suspension bridge in Yunnan Province. The steel box girder suspension bridge with the largest span in the mountainous area of Asia.
At noon, I had a light meal (bait silk) near the Baoshan service area, and stepped into Tengchong after one o'clock in the afternoon. Staying in the B&B "Blooming Blossoms" outside Heshun Ancient Town, you can feel the breath of nature and soil here.

There is not much time in the afternoon, so we decided to take advantage of the good weather to visit the Beihai Wetland. It is more than ten kilometers from the station to the scenic spot. The weather was a little cloudy, but when we got there, the weather suddenly cleared up. We watched the scenery, played on the swings, rowed the grass, and had a great time playing, completely immersed in the beauty of nature. Be sure to experience grass drawing once, it is very interesting.

After returning to the B&B from the Beihai Wetland, everyone discussed going to Heshun Ancient Town for dinner. After many obstacles, we finally got in touch with the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law's private kitchen, and sent a car to take us into the ancient town. Otherwise, a ticket of 50 yuan is required per person. In fact, after seven o'clock in the evening and before eight o'clock in the morning, the ancient town can be entered and exited at will. In the private kitchen of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, we tasted the local earthen hot pot and home-brewed small pot wine. It was already very late when we returned to the B&B. We went up to the platform on the third floor and overlooked the night view of the ancient city. It was peaceful and quiet.

Settlement:

Meal: 380 yuan

Bridge fee: 175 yuan (89 yuan Dali--Dabaoban) (86 yuan Dali-Tengchong)

April 9

Today's itinerary is full. In the morning, I breathe the fresh rural air and walk into the ancient town for breakfast. The pace of life here is very slow. It's half past seven, and there are only a few early stalls. Everyone eats what they want. There are bean flour, rice noodles, bait, and bean flour and bait mixed together for breakfast.

Today's first stop is the volcano. We wanted to take a hot air balloon to overlook the volcano, but the hot air balloon is very demanding on the weather. In the morning, the sky was covered with dark clouds. We were worried that we couldn't sit there, but when we got there, the sky cleared up immediately. The door opens at nine o'clock. When I came here, the strategy said that I had to take a hot air balloon before 10 o'clock, and it was best to get there as soon as the door opened, otherwise it would be windy after 10 o'clock. We got here according to this point. When buying tickets, we asked the waiter if we could take a hot air balloon today? She said yes, so we excitedly ran to the place where the hot air balloon took off. One basket holds 6 people, and one of the staff, five of us, happens to have one basket. So beautiful and so exciting. There is also a small episode in which a big brother in the same company is afraid of heights. He didn’t say anything when he went up, but after the hot air balloon floated up, he kept squatting inside and couldn’t look down. I used to think that I was afraid of heights, but it turned out that I'm not afraid of heights. Hahaha.

The ticket for the volcano includes the volcano, the Heiyu River, and the columnar joints. After coming out of the volcano, we drove to the Heiyu River, where the scenery is pleasant and the air is fresh. We didn't see monkeys in Mount Emei last time, but we met a lot of monkeys here. After coming out of Heiyu River, everyone was very hungry. So we decided to find a farmyard for lunch. I didn't remember the name of the farmyard, but we remembered the copper pot rice of his family.

After dinner, the weather turned cloudy. Our plan this afternoon is to go to Atami and soak in hot springs. The package we bought includes Atami, battery car and hot spring. We were looking forward to the rain when we were soaking in the hot spring, which was also very refreshing. As expected, it started to rain lightly while we were soaking in the hot spring, and when we came out of the hot spring, it was sunny again. God is so kind to us and takes care of us extraordinarily. In Yugu, we also ate eggs boiled in a big hot pot, peanuts, sweet potatoes, porridge and other snacks. Tip: Be sure to climb to the Atami Big Rolling Pot and go to the Yugu Hot Spring next to it. Coming out of the hot spring is just the battery station for going back. Saying goodbye to Rehai, let’s go to Chaowei Tongpiao Beef Restaurant and eat Tengchong’s famous Tongpiao Beef.

April 10

After waking up in the morning, we were going to go to the ancient town for a walk. Walking on the quiet path and inhaling the smell of the soil, we walked into the ancient town of Heshun again. The moment we entered the ancient town of Heshun, it still seemed quiet and peaceful, without any noise. It used to be an important town for caravans and a necessary place for the ancient "Southwest Silk Road". Various foreign cultures blended here, but despite these auras, Heshun still maintains its simple and simple style.

We left the ancient town at ten o'clock and drove to the National Cemetery-this is a place that makes people cry! After watching the National Cemetery, I was very depressed. Maybe it was infected by these soldiers who gave their young lives for the country and the nation without fear of sacrifice. The young lives of the young people gave their lives without hesitation for not wanting to be a subjugated slave! Admire those soldiers of the Anti-Japanese War who gave everything for the country and the nation! Salute to the soldiers of the Chinese Expeditionary Force!

We left the beautiful Tengchong at 11 o'clock and went to Ruili. We arrived in Ruili about 2 hours later. The temperature suddenly rose, and we changed from spring clothes to summer clothes. The first thing we did when we arrived in Ruili was to eat. We walked into a Wuliangshan restaurant along the way and had a special Yijia meal. The most impressive thing was the boiling beef. After dinner, we drove to find the hotel we booked "Mengba Naxi Hotel". After we settled down, we discussed the itinerary. Depart on time at 3:30, and it is not very far from any scenic spot, and it takes half an hour to drive there.

This is boiling beef, very fragrant.

This is the boundary marker, and residents of Myanmar drive tricycles to and from the border between China and Myanmar.

The commonly used Burmese words are written in Chinese on the ground.

Above is the famous Jiegao Port

For dinner, we searched the Internet for Ruili Mengmao Banquet, which is very popular, so we went there and had a rich dinner with local characteristics. The environment here is beautiful, and there are toast songs during the meal. After dinner, we walked back to our residence. The Mengba Naxi Hotel is also 500 meters away.

April 11

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we drove to the first scenic spot of the day, "Lonely Tree Forest", which is located next to the Manzhang Stockade in the border trade zone of Daluo Town, south of the Daluo Town Government 3.5 kilometers, near the border between China and Myanmar. This is an ancient banyan tree, more than 900 years old, with 34 roots standing on the ground. The height of the tree is more than 50 meters, and the area of the tree is more than 2,000 square meters. The branches and leaves are like a fence and a green barrier. It breaks the saying that "a single thread does not form a thread, and a single tree does not form a forest".

I came out of the scenic spot and bought Burmese watermelon and plantain as today's fruit, mainly because I was attracted by the boss's advertisement.

The next stop is the Mori Tropical Rainforest Waterfall. The scenery is pleasant and the air is fresh. The oxygen content here is super high, and we all inhaled oxygen vigorously. As soon as I entered the scenic spot, I saw a peacock with its screen open, and I looked at it quietly, with the screen still open, maybe because I was too beautiful to be willing to take back its beautiful feathers.

Do you know what this flower is called? A good man spends - because there is no flower heart.

This tree is called tree bouldering. We found a wooden stick to climb up to the waterfall and then walked down again. We propped it up here, implying safety and health.

After finishing Ruili’s itinerary, we drove to the next stop, Mangshi. In Mangshi, we met their annual water-splashing festival. The next day was the day, and it started in the afternoon of the day we arrived. Everyone was very excited. Buy clothes, headgear, and buy a water gun. Integrate among the locals and feel the real Songkran Festival. Due to participating in the Songkran Festival, I did not go to the originally scheduled Mengba Naxi Rare Garden, but only left a picture at the door, and I will go again next time I have a chance.

Walking out of Mangshi Square, we were splashed with water all the way. This is blessed water, and everyone happily enjoyed the process of being splashed and splashed with water.

Drive to Mangshi's most famous Menghuan Shwedagon Pagoda, which is located on the top of Leiyarang Mountain at an altitude of 1,079.6 meters in the southeast of Mangshi. Legend has it that "Sakyamuni" lived here when he was reincarnated as a golden rooster. Hundreds of years after the Buddha's Nirvana, Buddhist disciple "Zhaohanda" came to this mountain in person to spread the teachings of Buddha. Because of the good environment, the weeds and thorns are all out of the way, so it is called Leiya Rang Mountain, which means the place where the weeds are out of the way. Later, a pagoda was built on this mountain. It has been recognized as one of the Buddhist holy places since ancient times. The main pillar above the base is built with a big bell and 13 bowls. At the highest point, there is a big golden dome weighing 2.3 tons. It can be called the first golden pagoda in China and the first hollow pagoda in Asia. Tall and straight, majestic and magnificent.

Opposite the Shwedagon Pagoda, there is a large "Silver Pagoda", known as the Menghuan Wanfo Silver Pagoda, which is located on the hill opposite the Shwedagon Pagoda. One gold and one silver, facing each other from a distance, this silver pagoda was only opened to the public on April 9 this year, and it can be called the most representative pagoda landmark in contemporary Mangshi.

Just under the Great Golden Pagoda in Menghuan, there is a Mangshi Wangjia sour horn chicken Dai style restaurant. There are too many people, and they waited for a long time for the food. I think the taste is average.

I originally planned to participate in a large-scale cultural event in Mangshi Square at night, but there was no place to park, so I only listened to the music coming from the square in the car. Due to the Songkran Festival in Mangshi, all the hotels to be booked are not available, and some are expensive. The plan that caused us to stay in Mangshi for one night was temporarily changed. So we had the adventure of driving night roads. We drove for 3 hours to a hotel with a straight line of more than 20 kilometers, all of which were winding mountain roads, and finally arrived at the destination at 12 o'clock. This hotel (Huakun Xiaoheishan Hot Spring Hotel) It's really hard to find, but every room has a hot spring pool, and the hot spring can relieve your fatigue.

Meal: 335 yuan

Toll fee: 48 yuan (Wanting--Fengping)

April 12

After getting up early in the morning, I visited the hotel where we stayed last night. The air here is really fresh, but the traffic is too inconvenient. After dinner we drove to Kunming. Passing by the Lujiangba service area, the most beautiful expressway service area in China, everyone took a break. At noon, I drove to a small cottage in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture and had a super simple lunch.

In the evening we drove to Anning City, an urban area more than 20 kilometers away from Kunming. As the name suggests, the urban area is very quiet and peaceful. The Antai Hotel where we stayed is also very cozy. After checking in, we searched for places to eat nearby, and found that the Fuzhaolou Steam Pot Chicken branch was near the hotel, and we walked there. Had an authentic steam pot chicken meal. This meal will be our last on this trip and it was a very comfortable meal.

Today is the last day of the trip. The plan is to go to Dianchi Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province. Dianchi Lake has beautiful scenery and is a national-level tourist resort in China. It has the title of Plateau Pearl.
, and finally bought some food in Kunming to give to relatives and friends back to Beijing. At noon, we also had an authentic Qiaoqiao rice noodle from Qiaoxiangyuan.

The few of us ordered different cross-bridge rice noodles, including fine mountain delicacies, Jinshi, and blooming flowers...

After dinner, we went straight to Shenzhou Car Rental Changshui Airport store, returned the car, bid farewell to the mounts that accompanied us all the way these days, bid farewell to the beautiful Yunnan, and set foot on the road back to Beijing, returning to Beijing to take the MU5711 of China Eastern Airlines, It takes off at 17:00 and arrives at Terminal T2 of Capital International Airport at 20:25.
