More than 10 years ago, I went to Xinjiang on a business trip and went to Tianchi, Huoyanshan and Turpan. I have always wanted to see the autumn of Hemu, and finally made the trip. The northern part of Xinjiang has driven 3,300 kilometers by car, and the southern part has only stepped on a little bit. There are beautiful pictures on the Internet, so I won’t post photos.

1. Overall feelings and evaluation
Xinjiang is really big! It is indeed beautiful! The wish to go to Kanas and Hemu in autumn has been fulfilled. Sailimu Lake is beautiful, but the tourist attractions will not go again!
Yili is the south of Xinjiang, so it is worth staying for 10 days in spring and summer.
Kashgar was a pleasant surprise. Originally, I just wanted to see southern Xinjiang, but I didn't expect to fall in love with the old city of Kashgar and the hot sunshine, and met "Zebra Xinjiang Lake",
Prepare to go to the Pamirs for 10 days next time (remember to apply for a pass in advance).
Grilled meat (lamb kebabs), noodles, and the deadly big (red) Wusu are the daily standard. Unforgettable cold-water fish at the farmhouse near Burqin Colorful Beach, big roosters eating sea-buckthorn fruits, tomatoes picked from the field, and Kashgar fruits, all of which are delicious!
2. About the itinerary
I did some homework before departure and consulted local friends, but along the way, I found that the lack of planning led to the unreasonable and compact route arrangement. The main goal of our trip is the autumn scenery of Kanas. After arriving on the 15th, local friends told us that the period from the 20th to the 25th is the best viewing period, so we went to Yili first. South, north, south, turn back and run.
From Nalat to Yining, you should walk down Zhaosu, from Zhaoyi Highway to Yining. My friend said that the flower season is over and there is nothing to see. For tourists, the scenery on the road is the most beautiful!
I thought there would not be too many people before the National Day holiday. The actual situation is still a sea of people, queuing back and forth, crowding, all kinds of uncivilized seriously affect the experience of the beautiful scenery!
Through on-the-spot investigation, I personally think that the more reasonable itinerary is Urumqi-Duku Highway-Kuqa (Grand Canyon)-Bayinbulak-Nalati-Zhaosu-Zhaoyi Highway-Yining-Salimu Lake-Buer Jin-Kanas-Urumqi.
Burqin-Kanas takes about 4 hours, and it will be noon if you start early in the morning. First go to Guanyutai to see the panorama, then swim to Sanwan to Jiadengyu in the late afternoon, drive to Hemu for accommodation, and watch the sunrise on the platform the next morning.
Baihaba needs to apply for a pass, and the procedures are cumbersome so I didn't go. I heard that the scenery at this moment is similar to Kanas Hemu, and it is beautiful when the flowers bloom in spring.
3. About clothes
In late September, there is a large temperature difference in Xinjiang, so clothes should be easy to put on and take off. Generally, when you go out at 9 o'clock in the morning, you need to wear a thick coat. During the day and when driving, short sleeves are enough, but pay attention to sun protection. The short-sleeved, fleece jacket, jacket and down jacket we brought this time, short-sleeved and fleece are worn every day, the jacket was worn on the Duku Highway (in rainy and snowy weather), and the down jacket was worn in the morning in Kanas (still There are long johns), waiting for the car to freeze through!
If girls take pictures, they can wear bright floral skirts, and the background is mostly khaki.
4. Friendly Reminder
1. If you go to Kanas and Hemu in the peak season, you must be fully prepared. There are many people and it is difficult to stay. The price of 2,000 yuan cannot be booked!
2. From Sailimu Lake to Karamay, you have to pass through the Devil City. The best time to take pictures of the Devil City is when the sun is setting. So if you want to calculate the time well, you don't have to go back.
3. Sandao Bay, the most beautiful in Kanas, does not stop when you enter from Jiadengyu, so you can only visit Shenxian Bay on the return trip. In the morning, it is cloudy and foggy, but you can't take pictures of the beauty! There are more and more people waiting, one is cold and the other is the long queue time by car. It only takes 10 minutes for the sun to come out to direct sunlight. We stopped at the last Wolong Bay.
4. The Kanas Lake cruise is very tasteless! You can't see anything in the boat, and you can go on the deck for 10 minutes. There are too many people, crowds, and lighting problems, so you really don't have to go.
5. Plant grass
1. Go to Duku in spring to see the four seasons: the mountains are full of flowers at the foot of the mountain, and the mountains are covered with snow;
2. Go to Bayinbulak to see the green grassland in summer;
3. Go to Zhaosu to see rapeseed flowers and perilla, take the Yizhao Highway, and go to Yili to see lavender;
4. Kuqa Grand Canyon, Luntai Populus euphratica Forest, Pamir Plateau wedding;
5. Taste Kazakh boiled hand meat and milk tea boiled with freshly milked cows.
