Literature and art are full of pyrotechnics. Find a day to go shopping in Beijing like this

What to do in Beijing? There are not too many places to visit in the big Beijing. Today I will introduce a niche route for you, away from the hustle and bustle, come to Shijingshan District, and come to a slow-paced life of literature and art for a day.

The overall plan is as follows -

10:00 Lang Park

12:00 Meals in the park

14:00 Pingdong Market

15:00 Shijingshan Cultural Center (District Museum, Intangible Cultural Heritage Center, Rainbow Staircase Photoshoot, Public Welfare Movie)

19:00 Night View Starry Sky Dome

Let's take a look at each in turn.

1. Langyuan Park

Quiet amidst the hustle and bustle, artistic and modern, Langyuan Park is an art park in a park. I was quite pleasantly surprised when I came here for the first time. I didn’t expect there to be such a literary place on the side of the road. It’s a bit like a miniature version of 798.

There are quite a lot of cultural and artistic settings in the park, all over every corner.

Stroll slowly, take pictures, and enjoy the sunshine in early autumn.

There are quite a lot of bookstores in Langyuan Park.

Find one at random and see if there are any books you like.

Or ordering a cup of coffee in the store is a very good choice.

In Langyuan Park, another highlight is that there are various hand-made cultural activities, such as learning to do gardening summer micro-landscapes and dried flowers;

I chose to try pottery.

At first, I fell in love with the little prince, but I found it a bit complicated and I was afraid that I would not be able to control it.

Finally decided to try to make a dinosaur out of super clay.

The pottery teacher will guide you personally.

I pinched this whole process for 1 hour to get it done. Other complex points may take 1 and a half hours.

Check out the finished product. The one on the left is mine, and the one on the right is the teacher's original. Does it look like it? Praise me!

By the way, there are quite a few restaurants in the park, including Chinese stir-fried dishes, Western-style pizza, as well as various hot pot and light food restaurants. The variety is quite rich.

After finishing the pottery, my friends and I decided to choose one here to fill our hungry stomachs.

2. Pingdong Vegetable Market

I also like to go to the vegetable market, which is the most lively place in the city, and Pingdong Market is a treasure vegetable market in Shijingshan District, full of life.

The atmosphere is like fireworks in the world.

Grape bananas in summer, strawberries in autumn.

There are also tomatoes throughout the year, no matter how you buy them, you can't buy enough.

All kinds of cooked food and cakes are also available.

On the third floor, there is also a flower shop hidden on the first floor.

All kinds of seasonal flowers are available.

The key is that the price is still very cheap.

Many headed narcissus and many headed roses, everyone wanted to buy a handful after seeing them, and no one could return empty-handed.

3. Shijingshan District Cultural Center

The last stop, Shijingshan Cultural Center.

A very large building with rich exhibits and contents. It is free to visit, and you need to make an appointment on the official applet to enter. You can make an appointment one day in advance.

As the gateway to the west of Beijing in history, Shijingshan District has quite a lot of historical stories and cultural relics. The cultural center also has a special exhibition hall to exhibit those stories of the past.

All kinds of ceramics and precious metal products are full of exhibition halls, which are worth taking a closer look.

A little tip for everyone, Shijingshan District Cultural Center will have several free public welfare film screenings every day, you can make an appointment in advance on the applet. The one I made an appointment for is "Intimate Travel", starring Sha Yi and his son, a warm road comedy.

Outdoors on the second and a half floors of the cultural center, there is a rainbow staircase of Internet celebrities, which is very popular for taking pictures. Usually this place is full of tourists, blowing hair, chatting and enjoying a pleasant day.

At night, the mode of the star dome is turned on here.

When the lights hit—wow, it’s beautiful!

Reading books, doing handicrafts, shopping in vegetable markets, watching exhibitions, isn't this a day of art and fireworks?
